Procrastination Woes

And my day will be filled with English.

Ah, procrastination, how I've truly missed you.

For the majority of this day, I'll be frantically attempting to write a five-six page paper on socio-historical contexts in 1850 that Nathaniel Hawthorne (*kicks*) used in the Puritan society of The Scarlet Letter. *groans* I don't know what to write! I'm probably going to end up analyzing the strictness of Puritan society, and try to argue that Hawthorne was using a society similar to the South at that time. They're set in their ways, don't like change, punish severely for rule breaking, and adhere to social structure almost obsessively. But how to not only get five to six pages out of this, as well as include scenes from the novel that represent this, and use outside sources as well as a critcism from the back of our version of the novel...

Yeah, I'm a moron for letting it run this late. Rest assured that the one I have to do on Toni Morrison's Beloved will not be done in this fashion. The one thing that's getting me through this is the fact that at least a quarter of the class was in the same boat as me, and this girl who is like, "Look at me, I already have a bachelor's and now I'm getting another" only had a topic picked out, and nothing else. Petty, I know. But at this point, I don't care.

I was scheduled to work for next Thursday, but I need the night off. I asked about four people to switch with me, but there was no dice. I'm waiting on an answer from Bill (the owner) to see if Lauren (who was supposed to be shift leader the night I'd need to switch with her for) could switch with me, but if that doesn't work out...meh. So I miss lab work. It'll all work out in the end.

Tuesday to Wednesday night, I slept eight hours. Wednesday to Thursday, it was four. Go Abby, whoo. I will be napping tonight before choir, if at all possible.

Oh, and choir? I'm so going to suck tonight. I don't remember any of my descants. *kicks her own ass*

It's been a lovely week, hasn't it?

9:02 AM: THE LAB PAYCHECK CAME A DAY EARLY! WHOO HOO!!!

Quote for the Day: "I sat for three hours yesterday just wracking my brain, and came up with "gah"." --me, in my explanation for not having a concrete topic for the English paper (luckily, Alisia laughed).
