Christmas with Prima

Hello, Im speaking with Prima this morning, December 26, 2004. Were at her house. How was your Christmas?

It was good. But I want to talk about Paul McCartney!

Okay, me too! I love talking about Paul McCartney. Lets talk about watching Help the other day.

I love Help, and especially Paul McCartney. Hes cool. The movie is about Ringos ring. I like the part when Paul is on the piano when theyre skiing in Switzerland. I like the song they do when theyre cutting the circle around Ringo, Youre Gonna Lose that Girl.

One of my favorite lines is when the woman says, Cut you, jolly, with a knife. And when everyone says, Kaili! when they see the ring. And when Paul is dancing with the woman and he says

I can say no more!

Tell me about your new Beatles poster. Who gave it to you, and what does it look like? Where did you put it?

My poster is from the cover of the Beatles for Sale album. My Pop-pop gave it to me. Paul is on the far right and George is on the far left. Theyre wearing all black suits. George is next to John and Ringo is next to Paul. Theyre outside. George has a little twist on top of his hair. Its really big and its right over my bed.

They all look really good in the picture. Ive always loved it. Their hair looks great.

Pauls head is right over the head of my bed.

Oh! I see!

We have a poster right over the computer too. They all look really different. John has glasses. Paul has long hair and a pointier nose. And Ringo has sideburns and a moustache. And George looks just a little different. Theyre not wearing suits. Oh, and Ringos not wearing a scarf.

Tell our readers what you look like.

I have blonde hair and I have glasses but theyre not freaky. Theyre skinny. Not like a librarians. Im very tall. Im 7 and a half. I have a sister. She just pushed on her shoes and didnt like it. She has red hair and no glasses. Shes 4. She likes to play with her friend Jo-anna. My sister likes the color pink. I dont like that color. I like blue. Dark blue. Shes fun to play with usually; sometimes shes mean.

Your dad is singing loudly.

He might be in the shower.

I think hes washing dishes. Oh! Tell me about open mic with your dad!

The microphone is always open for everyone to sing in. I sing with my dad a lot. Theres food and drinks there. Its inside and I usually get hot chocolate with a little plastic dude inside of it. I sang Imagine the other night but that was Christian open mic. I usually sing rock and roll songs when its not Christian open mic. I sing a lot of Paul McCartney songs, and some John songs, like Youre Gonna Lose that Girl, and Help. And Hard Days Night.

Is that a Paul song?

Im not sure. But I like it.

Do you sing Feliz Navi-blah? [Like Pee-wee Herman does in his Christmas special]

NO! I sing Feliz Navidad, though.

I remember when you were three years old, singing Twist and Shout in a restaurant lobby in Maine. I think you liked it because it said, I know you twist little girl, and you thought it was about a little girl. Do you think the Beatles sing about kids? Or do they sing for kids?

I dont know, but I like their songies.

Well, whos the little girl in Twist and Shout?

Thats hard to explain. Somebody that is married to somebody. I dont know!

Is she actually a little girl?

NO!

Well how about in Youre Gonna Lose that Girl, is that about a girl or a woman? Is it about a parent in the store whos not watching their daughter and theyre gonna lose that girl?

[laughs] Probably not. Actually, absolutely not. Actually, that would be awesome if they would do that.

Tell me about Pauls wives and family. Which Mrs. McCartney do you like?

Definitely Linda. Definitely Linda!

Why?

Because. Shes prettier. Heather, Lindas daughter, is cool because she plays guitar, like me kind of. I like playing the drums too. Lets get back to Ringo. Ringos kids. His wives are Barbara and Maureen.

Remember when your sister said George was her wife?

Yes, I remember that! For one thing, George is dead. For another thing, hes a boy; he cannot be a wife.

I dont think she knows hes dead.

Well, I certainly do. Georges son Dhani, he looks like the same person, but he has a little less chin, like you told me. He sounds cool.

I like your socks. Describe for our readers what Im wearing.

Floofies! Polka dotted pajama pants with a pouch right where your vagina, your private part, is. Your pants are too big because the elastic came out. Theyre very old pajama pants. A t-shirt under a hoodie sweatshirt. The t-shirt is gray. It has a little school logo on the top of the left-hand corner. Rings. A lot of rings. Ringo would be happy. Get it? Ringo. Ring-o. Your hair is all squiggly because you you didnt wash it yet. Your glasses are black like mine. But mine are not so thick on the outlining. Thats it.

Let's get some french toast from la plancha.

Okay.
