Long Story Short ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Monday Before Vacation Wow, what was up with the fucked up colors o' Diaryland earlier today? In my five seconds of free time I checked things out and the background was white. Crazy. Four more days until our vacation. I'm just saying. This weekend was very nice but also devastating in the form of the Patriots loss on Sunday. Boston is a baseball town and therefore the majority of the New Englanders that I socialize with are just thrilled that the Sox took the Wild Card and are now in the playoffs. Woohoo and all that jazz but what the fuck is going on with Patriots? They have a 2-2 record! Is anybody else feeling concerned about this? I know, I know, I should just chill. But we're missing so many valuable players and and and... I'm thrilled for the Sox of course. I can't wait to get into the hot sexy sweaty playoff action next week during our vacation. Also we got to watch the Sox game with our good friends who we dipped in cheese fondue and smoldered under bacony cheese goodness. We had planned to snarf under Patriots conditions but after the third quarter the TV went straight on over to the Sox/Yankees game. Luckily three of the Sunday attendees were Sox fans, one Yankees (and no I did not poison his chicken nuggets) and it was fun for all and made the stress of losses and wins less palpable. It's very nice having good friends, is it not? Now it's Monday night and lets plow on to Tuesday cause Friday be vacation.
