eustilly's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These last 6 days have been... Did you see my previous entry? In brief: Friday night was spent indoors...burning CD's. Saturday was Joni's birhtday party. It started at 7, so unfortunately it ended at 12:30. People just drank too much too fast. All in all, it was a fun night, and Joni is in love. Yippee! I, too, received affection from a certain coworker of Joni's. His name is Filo, and he sends me some very entertaining emails. They make me laugh and smile, but I don't get butterflies. I do, however, turn beat red sometimes. That boy is crazy. It's a shame, though, because I am not that attracted to the idea of dating him. Oh well. It was fun to misbehave in the old abandoned shed for a while. What happened Sunday? Anybody? Anybody? Bueller? Oh! It was the actual day of Joni's birth! I went over to her house and had cake and ice cream. They always get her ice cream cake with cupcakes, so I was very excited that I had eaten an early dinner, or else I would have spoiled mine. Her family has recently seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and they admittedely claim to be the big, fat, redneck family. I love them all because of that. Such nice people. They really got into it, though, when joni revealed that her new boy was picking her up at 7. She recruited me to help herd them off to dinner so they wouldn't meet him, but we were only half successful. He met half of them, which was still 5 people. Got a call from chris later that night. He wanted me to come over for dinner, but I declined. Things have been well. I've been able to pass off play with tact and polite regrets, and our friendship is still good. We had lunch today, and while he did throw in a few naughty jokes when his fortune cookie read, "Opportunities exist all around you if you know where to look...in Chris' bed on Saturday night," it was still a fun, friend-like time. His birthday is Monday, and I feel bad because no one can go out with him Saturday night (I'll be in Tuscaloosa with a website job). He's right, though. You can't party for your birthday while knowing that you have work the next day. Regardless, it looks like Sunday or Monday will have to be his celebration day. I made the mistake of asking him what he wanted for his birthday, and he basically said, "You in my bed." Honestly, I wish I could, because one of the greatest things in the world is just sharing a bed with someone. But he's going to want me to give him a "present," if you catch my drift, and, forgive my bluntness, but hell no. Tomorrow I'll be in Eufuala for one of our tournaments. I have yet to witness one, so I'm pretty excited. Breakfast at Cracker Barrel, riding in a company car, and good people. As I was just informed, however, I have to wear one of our shirts since we'll be in an "official capacity." Great, just what I need. Tacky polo shirts and/or thick, button-down, short-sleeve shirts. And it'll be raining and hot. WTF? So much for winter. I only got to wear a scarf once! Should be back in by 4, just in time to load my car and head to T-town. Won't be in contact again until Sunday, unless Buns and I get the urge to update our diaries while working on the website. Call me on my cell if you need me. 5:33 pm - 03.06.03 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
