when it all gets brighter, I'll turn around and smile

As always, things become brighter in the span between entries.

Last night my sister came over to say goodbye to Rymer before she leaves today and we went out for coffee.

After another final round of Stoner Card Game (this game ROCKS! It's like Uno with playing cards) in which I lost (grrr..) we started talking about the Plan.

You see kids, it's like this..

I have no house and am staying with my mother, I could in time get back on my feet and commit to a lease on some outrageously expensive place here and be miserable or..

I could move to Oregon.

Yeah.

The time to do it really is now. It would take me the same amount of time to save up money anyhow and rather than have to move somewhere I hate, I should just leave.

So the only problem is that a.) I need a damn job in a job market thats at a 10 year low. b.) I'll need a job up there and let's not even go into Oregon's unemployment rate.

However, perhaps I can temp here for the summer, enabling me to settle my debts and gather enough money for the truck and place up there. As far as the job thing goes once I move, both my sister and her husband work for an aviation company outside Portland and as my sister said, "it's about who you know."

So maybe, just maybe...there's a bit of hope.

Oh, and I'm smitten by Chai Tea. Seriously.
