well, jamboree has come and gone, leaving me in a state of relaxation now that my free time has grown exponentially. recruiting is beginning to decline as fewer visitors are scheduling tours. i'm back in the grind of school, prepping for my spring break (which will be upon me next week, aaaahhhhh!), and pumped about the possibilities ahead of me, not for busy-ness and activities, but for people, for the Kingdom. to put it another way, i'm giving up what is good for what is better, martha/mary style.

i am embracing my passion for helping others this time around. last fall i began praying to God that He'd open up a people group to me, that i'd be allowed to befriend new folks and aid them in their struggles. i asked the Lord where i could be used in His plan to reconcile thers to Himself? i am finally approaching the time for that ministry now. to reference my previous weekends performance, "i can't fight this feeling any longer..."

i'm ready to be used in ministry to homosexuals, to struggling Christians, to puzzled straight folk. been praying for over 6 months now, and this is where God is sending me at this point. i know they're out there scared, bound, and helpless, and it's about time some more people stood up, equipped in the power of the Holy Spirit, to set some captives free.
