Ooooooh baby, randomize me!

More survey goodness.
2003-07-24 - 7:19 p.m.

Now it's my turn to steal a survey from Beth Anne. :)

1. If you died tomorrow, who would you leave everything you own to?

My CDs would go to someone, my books and my flute to my sister, and the rest, who cares?

2. Who is the one person you could stand spending 24 hours with and not get the slightest bit annoyed?

My sister, maybe.... hahahahaha.

3. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would you change (personality and looks)?

-Personality: Not to be so ridiculously shy. Looks: Hmmm. A slightly smaller ass would be nice.

4. What is the one thing you just have to do before you die?

-Get married in Vegas. Hahahaha. Just kidding. See the Grand Canyon.

5. If you won the lottery what would you do with your, let's say, 18 million dollars?

-Buy a new flute, new piccolo, and a baby grand piano. But a big house to put all this in. Pay off my undergraduate loans. Pay for grad school. Pay for my sister to go to college. Donate some to a scholarship for flute-playing band geeks named Sarah at my alma mater. Save the rest (if there is any more after that, hehe).

6. What do you want people to say about you when you die?

-Eh. Who cares? I'll be dead, hopefully not forgotten anyway.

7. How long does it take you to get ready to go out?

-It depends on where I'm going (like I actually go anywhere?), although, usually not long.

8. What would you like to be reincarnated as?

-A cat. They sleep & eat, that's it. -I have to agree with Beth Anne on this one. :)

9. Do you make fun of your friends?

-Not really.

10. Do you enjoy talking to yourself?

-Hehehehehe. I don't so much talk to myself as have conversations with imaginary people. Wait, maybe that's a bad thing... ;)

11. What's your biggest fear?

-The future / being alone.

12. What would you have liked to be named?

-Moonbeam. Why oh why weren't my parents more hippy-ish?

13. What's your most prized (material) possession?

-My flute, my piccolo, and Petey, the stuffed dog I've had since, well, forever.

14. What songs bring back the most memories?

-Oh tons.... "End of the Road" screams away game soccer bus trip sing-a-longs in seventh grade, Copland's "Appalachian Spring" for the sophomore year (HS) marching band show (that we should have won the championship with, goddammit!), "The Time of my Life" of course for the senior prom (and all the wacky drunkenness thereafter), "Leaving on a Jet Plane" as sung by flutes before games freshman year of college, and of course, "Boys of Summer" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" to accurately sum up senior year of college (and/or my last marching band show ever.... *sniff sniff*).

15. What's the largest organ in the human body?

-Your intestines.

16. Do you have a bar trick?

-Hahahahaha. Like I go to bars. They put this weird tubey thing of clear liquid in my mango margarita when I took my sister for lunch at good mall several weeks ago, and I had no idea what to do with it and I was pretty scared of it so I only poured a little in the actual margarita at first and then I just poured the entire thing in.

17. Could a pack of wolves have done a better job raising you than your parents?

-Hmmmmm...... possibly. Wolves at least might have taught me how to socialize better. :-P

18. What do you look for in the opposite sex?

-Personality (just being, well, a nice guy mostly), sense of humor, musicality ( this comes from too many years of band geekism), nice melty eyes, and nice (guitar player) arms never hurt either.

19. If you were given one day to live what would you do?

-Ride my bike out to the lake and watch the sunrise. Ride home. Kidnap the first guy I see and hop an early flight to Vegas. Get married in the gaudiest wedding chapel possible, with Elvis presiding over the ceremony of course. In the afternoon, sit in (in the first flute's chair, naturally) for an impromptu performance of the Beethoven 9 with the Las Vegas Symphony (is there such a thing?), and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, both organizations that will of course appear out of nowhere just for me. :) Then, catch an evening flight to Phoenix. Buy a key lime pie at the airport (hmmm.... yeah) and hop a small plane, with the husband and the pie in tow, to the Grand Canyon. Sit by the edge of the canyon and watch the sunset. Do something naughty. :) Then, take a swan dive into the canyon in a convertible (a la Thelma and Louise) because you might as well go out in style at such a splendid location.

20. What's your best physical feature?

-My hair.

21. What's your summer job?

-Shoe schmucking at Sizz-ears, yo.

22. What was the worst punishment your parents inflicted?

-Nothing worse than the occasional spanking... but I really never did anything that bad.

23. What have you learned about love?

-Other than I know nothing about it? Nothing. Except that it is elusive. When the person you love loves you back, that must be the greatest thing on earth. "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love, and be loved in return." Ah yes.

24. How have you changed in the past year?

I've gone from meh, to really depressed, to meh, to slightly depressed, to meh, to having some vestige of hope again. Quite a roller coaster ride of emotional sludge.

25. What's your way of escaping reality?

-Playing flute, listening to music, reading, goofing around on the computer, taking walks/riding my bike.

26. What hair problems have you had?

-For the first fifteen years of my life, through my mother's not knowing of how to deal with curls, my hair was blow-dried straight into this uh, horrible frizzy mess every day. So I frequently smushed it back into a ponytail. But then my mom moved away, I started "letting my hair down" according to the insistence of people, and there you go. Instant gorgeous long curly hair. :)

27. What's the most annoying thing people tell you about you?

-Eh.

28. Have you met any celebrities?

-Nope. Unless you count a local newscaster.

29. If you had the choice to spin around the sun, or walk on the moon, which would you choose and why?

-Walking on the moon.

30. What color do you think best describes you and why?

-Probably green. Calm, cool, and serene. Haha.

31. Would you ever share you heart completely with someone else?

-Sure. *sigh*

32. Which sense could you not live without, and why?

-Hearing. Without music, I cannot exist.

33. Have you ever written on a mirror?

-Nothing other than finger-tracing smiley faces on steamed-up bathroom mirrors.

34. If you could change one thing you did in the last 24 hours, what would it be and why?

-I would get the guts to tell my friend I don't think I can play in her wedding after all..... I'm going to be at school!

35. Do you prefer sleeping outside beneath the night sky, or your cozy bed indoors?

-I've never slept outside, actually. So gimme my cozy bed.

36. What is the most beautiful thing in the world?

-Love.

37. Name one person whose changed your life for the better?

-My middle school band director. Basically the reason why I'm a music major.

38. Who is one person that can make you smile no matter what mood your in?

-My sister.

39. What do you tell yourself if times get hard?

-It *will* get better (repeat ad infinitum).

40. What would you give your life for?

-My family, a worthy cause (I don't know what that is).

41. What do you think about your first love?

-Errrrrrrr. Hmmmm.

42. What do you think about the first person that loved you?

-Uh. My mom? I dunno. She's my mom. Haha.

43. Do you believe in love at first sight?

-Sure.

44. Band?

-Beatles, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, CCR, Queen, Weezer, Green Day, DMB, etc. etc.

45. Singer?

-John Mayer, Madonna, Lauryn Hill

46. TV Show?

-Friends, Sex and the City, Six Feet Under, The Simpsons

47. Movie?

-Gah. Can't answer this. We'll go with LotR for now.

48. Actress/Actor?

-Winona Ryder / Harrison Ford

49. Drink?

-iced tea, vanilla Coke, mudslides

50. Role Model?

-Ain't got none.

51. Day?

-Saturday

52. Ice-cream?

-Mint Chocolate Chip

53. Quote?

"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein. Also: "To alcohol: the cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems." -Homer Simpson. :)

*********************

Holy crapola. I'll be 23 in a month (minus one minute, actually!). Insanity.

Yeah. That's all for now. Have a lovely evening all. :)
