Where did Spring go?

My knee is a little better today, thank goodness. It felt good enough that I went for a walk around the block with Rich and Buffy this afternoon. Buffy is in love with a rotted pumpkin that has been uncovered now that the snow is melted, and apparently it has become a habit for her to take a bite of it every time they pass it on their walk. Ugh. I can't figure out why anyone left a pumpkin out on the curb to rot, and why does the dog think it's so delicious?

I also did the teetiniest bit of housework today - I vacuumed the rug in the living room because all that cat hair was making me sick! Of course the minute I turned my back, there was another blob of Patsy's fur deposited on the rug!

Today's smoothie was great, thanks to the addition of a banana and a tablespoon of Splenda! I think the problem with it yesterday was that the protein powder I bought was unflavored, and I didn't notice it when I bought it. I meant to get vanilla! The sweetness of the banana helped, too.

What I'm knitting today:

Working on a Wallaby for Soren, and I need to finish the one I made for Joe's baby. It's all knitted, it just needs a little finishing.

Sock #1 of the March socks, Spey Valley from the Knitting on the Road book. I'm making a pair with white Kroy yarn for Rachel and I like how the pattern shows up clearly in white. I started a pair with some blue handpainted yarn, but you can't see the design.

I'm kind of thinking of making all of my Copycat Knit-a-long socks with white yarn. Rachel needs the white socks for work, and that would give her one new pair a month.

What I'm reading today: The Shadow of His Wings - it's very good! I started it last night, and it is beautifully long, so I've still got more to read while I knit tonight!

What I'm watching today: Well, nothing, but I've got movies because I joined Netflix again! There are a couple of new movies of Soren on Youtube, so you could look at those.

Why I'm disgusted today:

Because I had to give up and wear my coat! When I went out with Rich and Buffy this afternoon, it was only about 30 degrees, so I surrendered and put on my coat! I even had to pull my mittens out of the pocket and put those on, too. Tonight when I came to work, it was actually snowing, but very lightly. Spring is supposed to be back next week, though!
