We are sitting at the cold circulation desks, me and Theresa. They took her table away, like I said, so she has to sit at a computer desk. She is staring at the screen saver.
"What is this, did someone put this on here? Is this, huh? Ho, some Chinee drawing?""It's a drawing by Leonardo Da Vinci, Theresa."
"Ho."
I went to a lovely late summer wedding yesterday, the hitching of Miss Melba Lee and Mr. Sean E. Snacks, Esquire. Lovely flowers in the back yard of Melba's folks. Mr. and Mrs. Melba Lee gave me a big fistful of silver dollar plant seeds, i do hope I can get them to grow.
The place cards for the reception were illustrated with Edward Gorey pics, much to my delight. The nice lady next to me got a nosebleed and almost missed the delicious coffee. Jennie Louise was at our table, nicknamed the Rowdy Table 4, and we spent the off-times in between courses flicking butter pats at the other more sober tables. The waiters wouldn't let us have any rolls.
And now Melba and Sean are married, and whiling away their honeymoon at the seashore, and I wish them joy and delirious whatnot.
