I went around to the staff of the store and thanked them for all they've done over the past six months to help my group. All were a little amazed that I do things like that. I've also written two letters of commendation when someone went out of their way for me. It got one person promoted, so I feel good about that. Anyway, this one girl, "just a clerk" she calls herself, said I was the ONLY person from any of the groups to thank anyone other than the manager. That and I'm the only one that calls them by their names. Well DUH! They wear their names on their ID's. If I see a nametag, I always try to use the name. But anyway, she'd heard... hell, everyone heard, about the letter I'd written for Victoria and she thought that I was one of the nicest people she'd ever met in the store. I told her, "You folks let us use your space for free. You list our event on your website. I'm the one that needs to be grateful, not you folks." I'm liked there! When I was leaving, there was a book I really really really NEED to get, called "Cat Assassins." If anyone has talked to me on MSN IM or been to LJ (just use the same name as I use here) and seen my "Kitty Sniper" icon, you know I just HAVE to get that book. Maybe I'll get it for Kat along with the "Get Fuzzy" book she wanted. No, it won't equal the "AEON FLUX" DVD she bought me, but it will be what I can afford. I can't believe AEON FLUX was on MTV TEN FREAKIN' YEARS ago! As with most anime, I missed the first episode. I've now rectified that by watching it on my DVD player. Sooooooo much makes sense now! Well, I'm going to go see how my Yule Log is doing in the hearth.
