After that time, your request will be cancelled and foreclosure proceeding will be initiated. Your current delinquent balance on your loan is $6,600.

And: Hi, SBD, this is your real estate agent. Now that we have approval, we need to consider lowering your asking price by $11,000 to generate interest in your home.

Over the phone Wednesday, December 12: This is the Non-Paying Loans department. Your account is now 4 months past-due. The Foreclosure Department has contacted us as a last effort to attempt to collect on this account. Are you able to settle all or part of your account with us today? Please bear in mind, if we are unable to resolve this debt, we will have to approve foreclosure proceedings to begin immediately. We need to authorize a payment on or about your next payday. Can we authorize that over the phone now?

Over the phone today, Friday, December 14: Hi, this is Suzie So-and-so with Whatchamacallit Realty. Can we come by this morning and look at your house?

And in the mail today: Your Parenting Evaluator apologizes, but due to personal reasons has been out of the office, to return this Sunday. He has completed your report and will fax it to you for review and release at that time. CC: Your Foster Care licensor.

Fuck. Talk about down to the wire. What do I do? I authorized the payment for the 25th, Merry Christmas. But what if I get an offer on the house from the showing today? Do I accept the offer? What happens then? And how long will it take for the foster care licensor to review the finalized parenting evaluation report? When will I get notice of whether or not the State of Washington will let me foster? If they do approve me, how long will it take to get get children in here to subsidize my income? Am I going to burn in Hell for using needy children to subsidize my family's residence, despite being a loving and emotionally stable adult providing them with care? Will my bank even care that my income-to-debt ratio has improved to a point where I can maintain the loan? And if they do, how in the hell am I going to be able to pay down the 4 months of past-due payments in the next 5 months, atop staying current?
