Setting

Man, I was woken up from my nap. I was sleeping very well. I was groggy, and could not figure out who was on the other line. But it was Chuck, our old maintenance guy. He recently stopped working here like last May, and I gave him my cell number to say hi and keep in contact with me and my roomies, because he was really nice to us, and other residents as well. He just disappeared out of the blue, and said no goodbyes, so we felt like we were left hanging.
He is a nice person in all, but this man has been trying ot get me to go out with lunch with him for a very long time. He is a nice guy and all, but hey I am 21, and he is I am guessing late 40's. That does not sit right with me. I told him that I will be busy alot, which I will. I told him that I do not know if I want ot go to lunch for him. I think I hurt his feelings or something, because he said he did not mean anything by it, that it would be a friendly lunch. I just do not know him enough to get in a car with him and go to lunch with him somewhere. If he keeps pressing it, then I will stop returning his calls, if he does call, and if he is calling, not pick up the phone. I really do not want to be rude to him, but I am setting boundaries, and if it goes out of my comfort level, then I will do something to stop it.
