To Whom it May Concern,

I've become pissed off with the limitations of Diaryland (sorry Andrew). I've wasted the past hour attempting to create permalinks on my blog. So, I've migrated to blogger. Meet me at my new page:

Join the revolution!

Sincerely,
Andrea

Some sappy crap...

To Whom it May Concern,

What always amazes me is how quickly time flies by. In a little over a month, I will be done my course work for my Master's degree. While this month means over 50 pages of writing and a helllll of a lot of reading, I am less stressed about it all when I compare it to last semester. Perhaps this is because of my attitude of "happy-go-luckiness" this semester, but the lack of stress is almost across the board for the other graduate students in my program. We certainly have less work and less responsibility this semester. Around this time last semester, I believe I was scrambling around trying to do a presentation and an essay or two. The level of work was higher, also. In one class, we read 20th century British Family Law and in the other a lot of criticism on regionalism in Atlantic Canada. Less theory this semester has meant a certain boredom in my classes, but I'm okay with that. I've been focusing on my thesis and other things...

It's just bizarre how quickly things go by and how quickly things change. Last year at this time, I was stressed out beyond belief. I was finishing up my honour's thesis and getting ready to do my honour's presentation. I was so stressed out, I ground out a filling in my sleep. This year, I've come to realize certain things: 1) Life is not that serious. 2) Whether I get good marks or bad marks, my health should come first always. 3) Even if I get a bad mark, it is not the end of the world and simply means I need to try harder next time. 4) Getting stressed out does not improve grades. 5) There is a certain cycle to life: sometimes things are bad and sometimes things are good, but if you approach everything with a good and optimistic attitude those bad things will seem conquerable. And, 6) I should write a self-help book...

March is looking prooty good so far.

Sincerely,
Andrea
