December 16, 2003 - 10:57 a.m.

There's this girl at the train station who I just absolutely hate. She's one of those self-important, pushy assholes that seem to come out of my town and the towns around it with alarming regularity.

Here's the thing. I get the same train every morning, at 7:39. And she's always on it too. When I first noticed her, it was because she wears terrible clothing. I mean, really awful. The colors are bad, nothing matches, and the sad part is, she's obviously trying.

However, bad clothing will get me to notice you, but it sure as hell won't get me to hate you. Well, it might make me look at you and go, "God, you're young. Stop dressing like that!"

But it's not going to get the blood boiling.

What WILL get the blood boiling is when you shove your way to the front of the line of people waiting to board the train for NO REASON AT ALL. I mean, the train is pulling into the station and she's up on the door like they're giving away poor-quality, non-matching clothes.

Here's the thing. If it were a particularly crowded train and getting a seat were a difficult thing, I could sort of understand bolting for the door. But it's not. I have never had a problem getting a seat, and I rarely have to sit next to anyone else. So why does she act like such an ass?

I don't have a good reason for it. Please reference the self-important asshole comment above for some sort of direction.

So yesterday, she arrives with her sister. For joy, now there's two of them. But, imagine my delight when I heard her talking for the very first time and realized she sounded exactly like Romy, from Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion. And I'm not saying that she sounds like Mira Sorvino. Oh no. She sounds like fucking Romy. And somehow, that made it all better.
