September 19, 2006 - 3:19 p.m. Housework, or lack thereofYou know how I know I'm not domestic or housewifey in any way? Because on the rare occasions when I actually accomplish some piece of housework during the course of my day I act like I should get an f-ing medal for it. Today, for example, I did two loads of laundry. And I even FOLDED it. I've been in eager anticipation for Steve to come home today so he could see what I did and share in my glory. I left it all neatly folded on the bed (with a bright aura around it and angels singing) so he could see my accomplishment right away and give me appropriate kudos for it. And knowing Steve, he *will* be very excited. It's so out of the norm for me to do something like this that he'll probably give me some sort of gold star. I might even get a backrub or a glass of wine out of it. Ladies and gentlemen, there's a lesson to be learned from this. Avoid housework at all costs so when you DO do it your loved ones will put you on a pedestal for it. 0 comments so far
