| ahh, you're coming on a very good weekend. yes, the polyphonic spree is playing both Saturday AND Sunday at the Empty Bottle with the Starlight Mints and Corn Mo. But, here's the complete breakdown: Friday (10-3): Hot Hot Heat @ the Vic, Nada Surf @ the Metro, The Kills @ the Empty Bottle, Saturday (10-4): Polyphonic Spree (as I mentioned), Ida @ Schuba's, The Lawrence Arms @ the Bottom Lounge (Early show), The Like Young @ the Bottom Lounge (Late show), Centro-Matic @ Subterranean. Those are all the shows I would go to, could I... enjoy your weekend, and I'm so jealous you get to see Mogwai (damn 18+ show). |

| I read your "bitchfest" to the Nashville Scene. Pointing out the (admittedly major) shortcomings of the Davidson County school system is all well and good, but I don't think they comprise any reason for attending Harpeth Hall in the context of the article. The great majority of public school kids can't afford to attend a private educational institution, even with scholarship programs in place. The original article's message seemed to me to be aimed at the wealthy parents who can finance a Harpeth Hall education in the first place. |
