from compclass :
Hey I wanted to read the diary but there's nothing there? Oh well...
from slywy :
Thank you so much (belatedly) for the kind words about my page, etc. Very much appreciated.
from talithe :
I appreciate you letting me know you took down the entry.
from unordinary-1 :
Hey! Thank you for the peppermint tea advice! I'd never heard that before, but think I might have to go get some. And thank you also for the friend advice. I just don't pick my friends very carefully. I guess it is because there is a lack of them!
from wonderchai :
if you need to talk, it's (541) 680 4175 i know it's long distance.
from trixxx :
sorry things are so harsh with you sweetie. i can't offer rescue, but if you wanna a shoulder cry on, or pal to kvetch to...i'm good for that...
from curiosekwe :
yes i did. (find nitram through you)
from might :
i had never heard of it either. and i was shocked, i tell you. not in a good way, either. lazy abbreviating bastards!
from curiosekwe :
yeah, i am looking into the whole job thing. i think having a schedule and making money of my own will help keep me sane, heh..but first im off to mpls to visit some of the old crew..and maybe even run into the much typed j&m (bum bum bummm!)
from bicyclelove :
being connected to the seasons is good... last night i struggled with my boy about whether to have the air conditioning on-- it was only 70 degrees outside! i hate a/c with a passion. summer is for being hot. :)
from curiosekwe :
hi angryquail. i finally have enough free time and internet access to start checking out with regularity other peoples diaries. thanks for the nice note you left me so long ago.
from wonderchai :
read john steinbeck's "the white quail." it made me think of you. xoxo jenn
from hsiutime :
(v. belated) Thanks for the encouragement - both on the layout and on Life. Don't feel too bad about being crabby... sometimes it takes a little venting to feel better. As long as you don't make a daily habit of it ^_~
from squirrelx :
Bless your heart. I very much appreciate your readin' my diary and addin' it to your list of favorites. The note you left me today was a Godsend. Your kind words arrived at a very low moment and went a long way toward liftin' my spirits. Best, Xtine / Squirrel X
from swirleddream :
Archaeology this summer? wow.. im jealous!! Hope you enjoy it! :) xx
from bicyclelove :
hmm, good point. i think the idea is that "normal" people get enough from daily life, and intense sensations are too much for them.. they don't get a rush from it like thrill seekers, whose normal brain activity is at a lower level. i don't know. it's kind of circular.
from might :
sneaky? moi? i am sure i don't know what you mean.
from copic :
Ka'dar. Well ain't my face red? I tell ya, I have never blamed anything on this pregnancy, except it sucks your brain. Thanks for clearing that up!
from copic :
You know, I took the purity test after I saw it on your site, and it seemed the more things I checked off in one section, meant the less I was catagorized in that section. I only clicked one thing in 'gayness' (Which was seen another person naked of the same sex) and somehow was 90something% gay. *shrugs*
from hsiutime :
I like your new layout :) Good luck with everything this summer!
from might :
i like sour cream, and guacamole, and hot sauce. i don't like mustard or mayonnaise or relish or wasabi.
from might :
i like cooked onions, but not raw ones. and i am anti-condiment in general. except ketchup. i'm from pittsburgh: it's illegal not to like ketchup here. i saw sigur ros live, and i loved the show, but i don't listen to their cds.
from wateryone :
That's a great phrase : literary stillness. It describes Diaryland perfectly, that's how I feel about my diary too. A person's diary, to me, is kind of like this line by NZ poet Hone Tuwhare : I can hear you rain, making small holes in the silence.
from amberfalls :
I am 27 and I work as a forensic chemist.
from amberfalls :
Ha! I'm not really punk or goth or anything else. I look very straight and normal for the most part. I have three nice sized tatoos that are hidden by my clothes, I like to dye my hair black, I can do a decent Bettie Page look alike and I'd like to get my nipples pierced. Sometimes I dress up to go out but not very often. Once upon a time I thought I was a skater punk. Now I'm just a regular girl but I'm different on the inside and that's what counts.
from wateryone :
I realy liked your entry today. It was great.
from wonderchai :
you are lovely - thank YOU.
from hsiutime :
Isn't DWJ great? I wanted to buy her new book yesterday at Waldenbooks but it's only in hardcover X_x Too expensive. Anyhow, I hope you had a good Founder's Day! Feel better soon!
from wateryone :
Because it's different from my life. That's all.
from bicyclelove :
i can't figure that site out. i found it searching for something else... it seems to be an endless source of interesting writing..
from hsiutime :
Nope, I'm ducking out of Founder's Day :) I'm actually going to Tokyo Express with Stephanie in a few minutes, and then we're going to the mall... it's too bad that you can't make it, though :( Next year! Will you be there for the fireworks, at least? Anyhoo, good luck on finals!
from bicyclelove :
what's a blather girl? :) and thanks for the birthday message!
from wateryone :
are summers in New York anything like summers in Minnesota? You're reminding me of Tam Lin. I wish I was there sometimes... New York, Minnesota, Summer, wherever.
from wateryone :
Sounds like things are going well. I like that I wrote my life is looking good and the world is sitting in a very definite light entry, and then went to read yours and you spoke about the important things, you know, roses, the orange light, le guin. Don't you love a new perspective?
from trixxx :
claire, i get like that too. the thing is, while there are better and worse choices, it is the choosing and moving that helps things shift within, and helps you know what you want. even choosing "wrong" helps you that way. and there isn't one right thing you need to be doing, but doing will help you be. hugs, t
from trixxx :
i hope for you too quail. happy summer.
from hsiutime :
Hehe, I'm friends with Stephanie but I guess I've just seen you around campus. Do you have choir with her? I'm taking Intro to Sociology, Modern China, Advanced Japanese, and Composition next semester...how about you?
from curiosekwe :
what happened to your fuck this shit entry? (reference to the one in which you were uber frustrated but is not there anymore)
from ilonina :
but what's wrong with your template? it looks fine to me! http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/notthatugly/ has nice imageless templates if you want to break off all relations with the old traitor...
from whangdoodle :
I think the problem with the template is that you put the code in the 'thingy' for new entries, instead of putting the code in the 'thingy' for your over all template. thingy ya know. like I'm template impared too, check around the template designers, they sometimes leav instructions. html whatever
from linneabear :
We like Lt. Reed. :-) The British one.
from amberfalls :
Hello. Thanks for adding me to your fave's with a quote. That's nice :)
from linneabear :
Heeheehee. My roommate's mother and I like the same guy on Enterprise, and he finds this very disturbing. My roommate, not the guy on Enterprise.
from wonderchai :
you are simply beautiful. thank you.
from adeliatala :
Thanks so much for the note!! I totally agree. . . I just don't think that diary is that interesting. Haha, not to bash. I didn't even know sex in the suburbs was up! Yay! I'll have to respond.
from wateryone :
~meep~ I didn't realise I was writing a description of your diary, I thought I was talking about your profile, you see.. I'm a profile connoisseur. I don't think I've read anywhere near enough to describe anything else.
from unordinary-1 :
Yo! Thanks for reading my diary! My other diary (which has a lot more history of me in it) is located at http://ck7.diaryland.com. It's not as good as my current one, though. :-)
from linneabear :
Glad you had such a great day! You're making me miss my days of college and a long distance relationship. ;-)
from wateryone :
that Anne Sexton poem's great... it reminds me of an anthology my Mum has, which I can't remember the title of, so it's pointless mentioning it. The only thing I've read by either of the authors you asked me about was Dianne Wynn Jone's 'Tough guide to fantasy land'... it was hilarious, but only because I don't like fantasy and the barbarians lived in the north and baths always led to sex.
from might :
your brother sounds like my kind of teenager, and braids and violin and digging in the dirt sound like fun, too. can you make my throat un-scratchy? please give it a try.
from linneabear :
Wow, that's great that he did that!
from wateryone :
It doesn't look the same as the last time I visited.. but maybe I'm just going senile. what are the politics of our generation... I don't know if politics is a generational thing, I actually don't know what kind of thing it is. it always seemed kind of depressing to me, all these divisions. I don't think you should give up your diary :(
from wateryone :
I like your new profile, wordy but concise, just the right amount of info. Ahh, I have a favourite top that has disappeared into some void, I miss it so much. I can remember the last time I wore it, but not where to find it.
from plaguegirl :
Thanks for the comment in my diary. I was so excited when you used the phrase "Social Darwinism." I was, like, holy crap, someone who knows geeky stuff like me. Thanks, again.
from ilonina :
No, I haven't read the novel, shame on me! I didn't feel the tension was odd per se - more that it added unexpected colour and depth to what could have been dull stock characters. Are there dark secrets lurking beneath?
from plaguegirl :
Thank you for the comment in my diary. Glad to find another Get Your War On fan.
from ilonina :
oops, molto apologies, the alto solidarity was not meant for you but for another kind guestbook signer! I am very sorry for mixing you up and grateful for your favouriting anyway!
from absolutchaos :
Thanks for the note... I was beginning to feel lonely in my first days back at diaryland. I'll take your advice about the alphabetizing ring... Very clever. :D
from dreamcallie :
Give me some words for The Wonder Words! (http://wonderwords.diaryland.com) Come on - I know you can conjure some more! Just e-mail me at [email protected]!
from soulnaked :
daunted and then daunted once more.
from dreamcallie :
You know, I really like you. You are an utterly fabulous, amazing human being! :)
from might :
thank you for the princess info! i knew it was a fine, upstanding name of few syllables and anglo-saxon in its origin, but i couldn't for the life of me think of it!
from dreamcallie :
Mmmm...anal sex. :)
from periphrastic :
Thanks! I've been looking through some of your older entries, and your style of writing looks very interesting. I'll read more in future, I think.
from might :
sure! email me yours, and i'll email you mine! (not meant to sound dirty, whoops!)
from dreamcallie :
do you know of anything that would be great in wonderwords? if so, email it to me. ([email protected])
from dreamcallie :
thank you thank you thank you
from curiosekwe :
wow thanks for the rad compliment!
from dreamcallie :
You are an incredible writer yourself! Thank you for the compliment. I'm honored to receive it from such an eloquent spirit!
from sosmiley03 :
wow! You write beautifully!
from jekylandhyde :
that's about the same distance on a train me and my girl used to do. Sorry things are abit sucky. I'm prone to mood swings/unhappiness stuff but luckily my chick sticks by me :-) dont give up. nope.
from angelicagirl :
here is montreal. and here is also a place where i have no friends who like coldplay. meh.
from jekylandhyde :
no confirmed dates yet i don't think. Your boyfriend live apart from you? I've done the long distance thing if so...and now i live with her :-)
from jekylandhyde :
hope you like the clips. How come your boyfriend was with another girl at cat power gig? she's touring again soon with a support band :-)
from red-scribe :
spiky short black hair, shy brown eyes. thin and tall... serious and calm seeing to strangers, loud and obnoxious to his friends.. too trusting, a lot of innonence that could only be assumed but not used up. fell in love with once and it had a very bad ending.. that is why he is lost...
from snarftastiko :
Aww yer note was adorably sweet. people suck i've learned... Sorry about jon being a dick and that i couldnt stay the othernight to talk. but i'll catch you around later. Bai! -DAX!
from rainydayjane :
Oh my! Your note just make me squee...I often wonder if anyone gets what I'm writing. You are so being added to my favourites now. :)
from jbdramaqueen :
Congratulations on your decision to give DiaryLand another go. I hope this time you're successful (as I hope I am, too).
from sls :
thanks so much for loving my diary. your note made my whole week! seriously. :)
from wateryone :
I've been on holiday and my hotmail account overflowed. Sorry, several hour long emails are a thing of beauty. I sent you one from my work address (an email, not a several hour long email, unfortunately). Hope you got it.
from wateryone :
Ha ha, as I just said to Rock-o-Matic, I wrote this great essay about The Dispossessed, Robert Oppenheimer and We by Yevgeny Zamyatin a few years ago, it was so much fun. Ursula Le Guin's grand... which others do you like?
from rock-o-matic :
thanks for the note! another Ursula Lequin fan? just wait till The Watery One hears about this...
from mel839 :
i love talking to you! :)
from mel839 :
i enjoy urinating also.
from mel839 :

from mel839 :
monsters emerging from my dads testicles?
from mel839 :
LETS BE COYBOY BUDDIES!! YOU UP FOR IT?
from breathless- :
Hey! Wow, your layout is awesome, and you can write...yay! :) I know how hard it is to get over boys. Grrr. Anyways, check out my diary and if you get a chance...drop me a note! I'd appreciate it! Keep it up :)
