Hey can I get the user info?
from aryssa18 :
Happy birthday!
from faithin :
hi! thank you so much for commenting and letting me know you're using it. hardly anyone ever takes the time to do that, so i really really appreciate it!
from aryssa90 :
http://www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/33-things-you-probably-didnt-know-about-the-toy I don't know if you've seen this but I thought it was interesting.
from poolagirl :
Thrilled to see you are doing so well in school!
from aryssa90 :
I am not a NASCAR fan by any means but I don't think they are pussies for not racing n the rain. Rain provides little traction, and even less so when cars are going around an oval track for 2 hours, wearing down the track and their tires as well. And rain to the mix and it's just a recipe for disaster, especially at 200 MPH. It's hard enough to drive a normal car in the rain.
from aryssa90 :
the first episode of south park is stop motion.
from aryssa90 :
have you gotten into pottermore yet?
from aryssa90 :
you could always do a punnett square to figure out the probability of Finley having red hair and green eyes. It would be a mildly complicated one and you'd have to know the dad's side of the family as well but it could be done.
from aryssa90 :
thanks! I'm excited. I'm getting my master's there and going full time, then I'm hoping I can get a job and get my PsyD part time. Or I may decide to be a psychiatrist, don't know yet. What do you want to do with yours?
from aryssa90 :
mine's stonepurple192. i'm not that happy with the name but it was the best one based on the choices they gave me and well...my favorite color is purple so that was nice :) I am so excited, I hope I get the e-mail to actually go on soon! Ever since I went to the last movie I've suffered from post-potter depression and my boyfriend likes Harry Potter but, not as much as I do so he thinks I'm a liiiittle obsessed
from aryssa90 :
episkey doesn't stop bleeding, it fixes broken parts. if anything it would just repair the hymen which would be counteractive to what you're discussing. and besides, you don't really bleed enough that you would need a spell to fix it. if you do, it's a medical condition. and rowling can't really talk about it because even though the later books are darker, it is essentially a book for younger people. plus, she started writing the characters when they were 11, I don't necessarily think she would want to think of them in explicit sexual situations, they're like...her children almost. With that being said, i do agree that the movies are supplemental to the books and that you aren't an HP fan unless you've read the books.
from aryssa90 :
just an fyi because I'm a bit anal about things like this but, there is no "the" in front of Batman or Wolverine bc that's their name, it's like calling it "the" Ashley.
from aryssa90 :
no disrespect but how can you prefer the newer star wars to the original? they're completely made for profit, not for any deeper meaning, the characters are shallow, the acting shitty and the characters completely stereotypical.
from aryssa90 :
Hey you're a grad student right? Where did you apply? How did the application process go? I have to send my applications out in the next few months and I am so nervous! How did your GRE exam go? Was it pretty difficult? Thanks :)
from poolagirl :
Good luck with those classes. It's a whole new world, Ashley!
from nessiegurlie :
Love your new glasses. I have purple and black baby phat glasses that are kind of in a similar style frame as yours, but the frames are black on the outside and purple on the inside. ^_^ I love getting new glasses. Mine are a few months old, since I stayed in Georgia with my aunt. I'm now back home in Texas. Weird. I feel like I just got these glasses too, and now they're almost ready to be replaced. Aaaaaah! Okay, I'll shut up now. I plan on updating my blog eventually, but I need to find a way to express how all this shit in my life has went down to me recently in a way that doesn't detract from my awesomeness or depresses the fuck out of me, which therefore, would depress the fuck out of you, because, let's face it; you were always my #1 fan of nessiegurlie.diaryland.com. :)
from reldihs :
so i'm taking a history of the u.s. economy class, and my professor requires us to watch 2 of 4 videos that she has selected... one of which is that south park episode, margaritaville. instantly, INSTANTLY thought of you.
from reldihs :
hey, i guess i just didn't see your post when you said you were accepted to grad school, but nevertheless CONGRATULATIONS! enjoy the copious amounts of reading, writing, and long nights! it'll all be worth it in the end for you. do you start in the fall?

from reldihs :
for the record, texas has some of the best public schools in the nation, year after year. california, an incredibly liberal state, is almost always at the bottom of the list when it comes to educational achievements and standards. texas is by far the most successful state in the nation right now. i'm sure you don't really see it that way, but if you really saw how the other states are doing as far as education, employment, and housing goes, maybe you'd see that texas might be one of the best states in the country to raise your kids. right now in california, thousands of people are leaving the state and moving to... TEXAS! because it IS better in so many ways. i know that you're more liberal views make this textbook issue put texas in a bad light, but realize that you're living in a truly incredible state. and for the record, there are a lot of issues with the textbook that i disagree with (no emphasis on minority achievements, state/church separation, etc), but it does little to waver my positive opinions on texas.
from reldihs :
hey ash, i'm really sorry to hear about your dog sam. as hard as it can be, it's still assuring and nice to know that he's not in pain anymore.
from aryssa90 :
If you're referring to Mormon polygamy, then no, they do not support gay marriage, at least not those affiliated with the church. In California when the Prop 8 stuff was going on, Mormons were the top most supporters and funders against gay marriage. And in polygamy, women can only have 1 husband. In societies where females have more than one husband, it's called polyandry. There have been several cases of gay polygamists. You can look it up on the gay magazine "The Advocate". However, this is technically a case of polyamory, not polygamy, if one holds the standard definition of polygamy. That being said, I am all for gay marriage, however, I am against polygamy.

haha yeah, I actually have already gotten through seasons 1-3 so, all I have left are 4-7. I like your shoes! I've been looking for a decent pair of tennis shoes and I'm actually considering buying a pair online haha, you're just a trend setter.
from aryssa90 :
thanks for your note. i did go to the dr. He's not sure what's going on, he said it's probably because I switched birth controls but, he referred me to a gyo if it doesn't stop this week. it's nice knowing someone else is out there :)

Thanks for the support. I will be home this weekend, around Saturday evening. I shall call you after my parents see my Sea green hair. I thought I should start high and work my way down, you know? Whatever floats your flavor of float. I just prefer girls. Jane Austen is a literary badass. When I have time, we shall compare notes. :)

Where is your bucket picture, lady?
from aryssa90 :
During the part where Harry was in Dumbledore's memories and he saw Tom Riddle at the orphanage, he found out that Tom Riddle stole things from other orphans, among them a mouth organ. When explaining horcruxes to Harry, Dumbledore says Voldemort would use something precious to him, something of value. When Harry asked him about the mouth organ, he was questioning whether the mouth organ may have been a horcrux. However, the mouth organ was ever just a mouth organ. :)
from olpdivagirl :
Fleur is from France. And since Krum plays for Bulgaria, I've assumed that's where they're from :)
from reldihs :
the guy's name is Jonah Hill. he's part of the freak and geeks/frat pack of today. he, and a lot of the guys in the frat pack are in basically all of Judd Apatow's movies (anchorman, 40 year old virgin, superbad, knocked up, etc). you should watch those movies. they are all hilarious!
from poolagirl :
The Narnia books are great (if you can around the Jesus motif that seems to pervade).
from poolagirl :
Glad you liked the movie! FYI, I have a hater stalking my diaries now. If you use Diaryland to get into my WordPress account, email me at poolagirl (at) aol (dot) com. I will give you the username and password.
from nessiegurlie :
Thanks for commenting on my "Different" entry. OMG, I totally adored that Black girl in the cafe talking to Harry too! When Dumbledore died, my heart just sank, even though I had read it in the book. Seeing it was just brutal. Harry and Ginny's kiss was AWESOME, and I loved Luna's dress at the Christmas party!

Thanks for all the great dialogue on my journal today! You rock! Now go get your driver's license!
from nessiegurlie :
Do you think that The Nessie Express Newsletter is legit enough to be a reference? I would totally vouch for you. If you need a character reference, which is just like a friend or family member saying that you are a good person and won't steal shit from work, let me know. I'd be happy to help you find a job. Work-study at Southwestern helped me feel worthwhile, useful. Maybe TAMUCC has summer jobs. Keep looking. You'll find something!
from nessiegurlie :
Have you asked anyone in your neighborhood about possible job opportunities? Career Services in your uni? Your mom? You don't have to work with her, but I'm sure she knows people from other convenience stores. What about a video store? You'd be good at helping people with movies, and you'd probably get a sweet discount. Is the Blockbuster on Kostoryz still open? I hope this helps. I always worked with my dad to avoid trying to find work on my own, because people just rejected me. Wal-Mart may be hiring. It will suck, but it's there.
from nessiegurlie :
I have the first season of Clarissa, and I love it. I wish they had more episodes on DVD. I also watched the BSC movie for nostalgia, and I'm not going to lie, I still love it. I'm a total girl when it comes to BSC and Twilight (I've read the entire series, have the first three books, and have seen the movie, and can't wait for New Moon). I miss talking with you. How are you doing, besides watching lots of awesome TV shows?
from poolagirl :
Lice Capades! How fookin' funny is that? OMG!
from poolagirl :
Yeah, as long as those groins match! LOL!
from poolagirl :
Yeah.....when I wrote about the nymphomaniac last week, some guy challenged me because I wasn't sympathetic to the "difficulties" of being a nympho. JEEBUS!
from reldihs :
i'll be whatever you want to make your life less complicated. ;)
from reldihs :
yeah, but remember, my mom's not jewish. technically by jewish law, that means that i'm not jewish, but seriously, whatever. i can think of maybe two other jews in the school, and they were both half jewish too.
from reldihs :
OH. for the people that i've known who had purity/promise rings (i went to a chrstian high school, so there were a lot) they wore them just as a symbol, not as a reminder. come now, christians aren't THAT dumb, haha!
from reldihs :
lol, i don't even know what that means, "putting a string on your finger."
from reldihs :
i never understood the big deal with the jonas bros. and their purity rings. i don't really think it matters whether or not they ARE actually "pure", but i think it's extremely important and big of them to take the social responsibility to having a more positive influence on the tween to teen group. they show kids (who may fall under peer pressure to do things that they are absolutely not ready for) that it's cool to wait. maybe not wait until marriage, but wait until you're ready, and wait until you've found someone else who you want to do those sort of activities with. lord knows that a lot of the parents aren't doing that. would you prefer it if they advocated sleeping around? the purity rings obviously are more for the fans than for the brothers, and i don't necessarily see that as a bad thing, considering that they aren't doing any harm.

we don't have a specific "economics of politics" class, but here are some econ classes at ucla that fit the description: M135. Economic Models of Public Choice (4) (Same as Political Science M105.) Lecture, three or four hours; discussion, one hour (when scheduled). Preparation: any lower division political science course. Enforced requisite: course 11. Designed for juniors/seniors. Analysis of methods and consequences of arriving at collective decisions through political mechanisms. Topics include free-rider problem, voting and majority choice, demand revelation, and political bargaining. P/NP or letter grading. M136. Economic Models of Political Conflict and Conflict Resolution (4) (Same as Political Science M106.) Seminar, three hours; discussion, one hour. Enforced requisite: course 11. Prior political science course desirable but not essential. Designed for juniors/seniors. Biological, cultural, and organizational sources of political conflict. i'm against gardasil mostly because it's a waste of time and money. the majority of people who get cervical cancer are over the age of 40, and the vaccine only works for five years. you'd have to get the vaccine four times before it is really working. plus, it's technically NOT a cancer vaccine. it basically is a vaccine against genital warts, which, if not taken care of, may turn into cervical cancer after a few decades of cultivating. if someone uses proper protection, then the risk of cancer should be minimal. instead of giving out shots to 9 year old girls, why don't we teach them to be RESPONSIBLE with their bodies? not to mention that it's a brand new vaccine. if i ever even began to consider getting it, i would still wait a long time to see if there were any long term side effects that haven't blossomed yet. the only vaccines my mom let us have were our regular booster shots as babies. after that, absolutely nothing. either way, i think someone should spend A LOT of time researching before they inject anything into their body.

Great going with the computer! And great going as a good listener. Woot!
from poolagirl :
Woot! Orgasm!
from poolagirl :
Happy happy bloversary! You have come a long way, grasshopper!
from reldihs :
i agree about the name spelling thing. it makes the parents look idiotic, and it gives the kid a world of trouble having to spell their name every single time someone asks. my brother scott named his son "izak" and personally, i can hardly muster up any respect for the guy anymore. plus, hoes be spelling my name "hana" or "hanna" and i'm just not down with that.
from reldihs :
i saw gran torino last night. oh man, that movie was awesome!! clint eastwood is so racist, but honestly, it's hilarious racist. because he's such an old badass. i recommend that movie to just about anybody. lol actually, now that i think about it, clint's character kind of reminds me of what i've heard about your grandma... except i don't exactly think that your grandma has dozens of guns hidden in her room. really though, if you get the chance, you should go see it. i don't think you'll be disappointed.
from nessiegurlie :
They're getting rid of the carousel?!? That sucks! I loved that thing. Is there any way you could sign my name on that thing for me?
from reldihs :
hahahaha, chanukah starts tonight at sundown. in jewish religion, the next day starts at sundown, so chanukah IS on the 22nd, but for us, the 22nd technically starts tonight at sundown. man, you almost confused ME with all the different dates!
from nessiegurlie :
Inuyasha? That's cool. I like anime, but I don't make the time to get into an entire series. No wonder Research Methods has been so difficult for me this year! I can't believe it's not offered in undergrad at A&M. Wow. I am hoping to graduate in May 2010 myself. I am thankful for you too. It's too bad we're so distant now, most of which is my fault, and I am once again sorry for being so crappy in years past. I was in a real rough spot then and I couldn't see past myself, which made me callous and cruel to everyone else. Well, good luck with finals and peace always! V
from poolagirl :
Blessings to you, grasshopper. On this day of thanks and every day!
from nessiegurlie :
As one who just got over being sick, I hope that you get better. Next semester, I am taking Culture and Society in the US, Cognitive Psychology (like you!), Research Methods II, History of American Psychology and Chemistry Appreciation. I don't know how one "appreciates" Chemistry, but I'm doing it to fulfill my general requirements. Human Sexuality and Forensics sounds like fun, but we only have those offered here at Southwestern during the May (summer) term. I would like to take summer classes at Southwestern, but they're really expensive. Maybe if I get aid. Maybe. I hope you had fun at the birthday party. Peace!
from nessiegurlie :
What are you taking next semester? I'm scared to graduate too, because I know what kind of work that entails, including Psychology capstone, and another god awful semester of Research Methods. Gag. But I still believe it will be worth it in the end.
from poolagirl :
Two more days! WOOTNESS!
from poolagirl :
Oh JEEZE! Your birthday happened the day we came from Tombstone, and I missed it! JEEZE! I am so sorry, sweetie!
from reldihs :
i know you're half way done with the paper, but I HAVE TO TELL YOU that the WAGE GAP IS A MYTH. A LIE THAT WAS CREATED BY INSANE FEMINISTS. please please read these, i beg you. don't continue believing in that lie, and even worse, spreading the lie. men don't deserve to be resented for that lie, and women don't deserve to be held back by that lie. http://money.cnn.com/2006/02/21/commentary/everyday/sahadi/ http://www.ncpa.org/pub/ba/ba392/ lol, i'm not completely antifeminist for blind, stupid reasons.

from nessiegurlie :
Happy 21st! I know I sent you a card, but now that I've finally signed onto D-land for the first time in a long time, I thought I'd leave a note. I agree, beer sucks. Just the smell of it makes me gag. Do something fun and simple, like a mixed drink at a restaurant, so you can have it with a meal. I'm glad you don't want to get drunk either. I think it is unnecessary. As for the counseling thing, kudos. I've been doing it for a few years, so I understand. It is scary at first, but it gets better with the right person and time. Good luck! If you ever want to just vent via e-mail, let me know.
from poolagirl :
Good luck with your counselor! I am so proud of you!
from reldihs :
as you might have known, i have gone through spouts of depression throughout my life. some severe, some not so much. like you, just this last friday night through saturday, i suddenly became incredibly depressed for no seemingly obvious reason. and for the first time EVER really, i actually talked/cried about my sadness to someone. it was like a lifelong exponentially heavy weight was suddenly lifted off of me. congratulations on seeing a counselor. i truly believe that even after just one session, you will feel a million times better, just knowing that you've gone out and done something about it, talked about it, confronted your feelings, and found a way to overcome the reasons for your being depressed. in the mean time, you should go out and see a movie/get an ice cream cone/hang out with someone REALLY funny or anything that can help you not stay in bed all day and fester up more reasons to be sad-- because i know that's all i ever do when i'm sad, and it does JACK SHIT. really though, just know and remember that you're loved and cared about by a lot of people. i can't wait until you feel better. :D
from poolagirl :
Kudos for you for seeking counseling. Everybody gets stuck every now and then. Sometimes, we just need a push. You go! You rock!
from goodluckgold :
hey i was checking out your profile and it's pretty and as you can see I love Gone With The Wind and i had red the giver and i thought it was interesting write back if u can allrite bye
from aryssa18 :
yeah Spacebals was great. that was Mel Brooks right? gotta love Mel Brooks.
from aryssa18 :
Cinema sucks ass. It's an international cinema class which is actually pretty interesting. But the prof. is such a jerk! He was so rude to me because I missed the first day of class and I hadn't even enrolled in the class by then so it wasn't even my fault. Anyways, Another Gay Movie rocks. As does the sequel. And they hinted they were making a third one. All the movies are gay parody versions of movies (American Pie, and A Very Brady Sequel) and the third one is *drumroll* Star Wars!!! In the movie they said they were making a third one called Return of the Gay! I hope they make it, I'm so excited....I'm a Star Wars nerd too :)
from aryssa18 :
yeah parents...*shakes head* It's funny, this is like the first time since I've had my diary that you haven't posted by noon. At least that I can remember. Yeah, I plan on taking human sexuality next semester for sure. Right now I added a cinema class so that should be interesting. Thanks for your notes back and all...it's been fun :)
from aryssa18 :
OMG!I hear about palin's daughter the other day too. Okay, so I know teenage pregnancy happens and I'm definitely not judging her daughter for getting pregnant. Was it stupid? Yes, but i'm not going to judge her for it. However, I completely agree with you about sex ed. in school. I think it's a necessity, especially in today's world. Children need to be aware of what's out there and at the same time i think they need to be taught that sex, masturbating etc. is NOT a bad thing. I wasn't taught that and what ensued during my early teens was a consuming guilt. Children need to be educated about sex! Also, Palin has a 4 month old baby with down syndrome. Excuse me, but if i had a 4 month old baby with down syndrome or not i would be spending my time with my baby! I would definitely not be signing up for a job that's going to keep me away from my children even longer! Obviously she's lacking in parenting skills. The more I learn about her the more i dislike her, not only as a candidate for V.P. but as a person as well! Ok, so i have a movie for you! I think you'll love it. It's called Another Gay Movie. It's hilarious! I'm going to go see the sequel tomorrow. Imdb it and see if it's something you might be interested in. Oh and I'm so jealous of your Gender class. I want to take the Human Sexuality class soooo bad, but my mother is so extremely conservative she'd flip out. She thinks I'm addicted to sex because she found out I had a vibrator and go on adultfriendfinder...yikes. Take care!
from aryssa18 :
lol im such a doofus. I accidentally posted this on my notes page....Also, I just noticed you had The Giver listed on your fav. books page and noted its dystopian characteristics. If you enjoyed that, you might like "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxely. It's more advanced than Lowry and definitely more intense but I found it enjoyable. It's one of my favorite books. So here's the original note lol.... Hello :) Well, I found out about the site while I was at school one day. it was one of the only unblocked message boards I could go on and pass the time in my classes lol. then I became friends with someone on there. And I never really felt the need to post that much...I have like maybe 3 posts or somehting lol. I prefer to just read what others say unless I have a question or a valid point to make. And to be honest, while I enjoyed Kim Possible immensely, it was never one of my obsessions. And yeah, I'm comfortable with most aspects of sex and sexuality however, I was angered by Mccain's choice because it was so completely obvious. Not only is she politically inexperienced, they have varying opinions on subjects. The only one that comes to mind at the moment is oil drilling in Alaska...Palin-pro and Mccain-con. Palin seems completely heartless in her politics and family life. She is not properly educated, too young and completely inexperienced o hold such a prestigious position. She's been a governor of a state that has only a few thousand people. And even in that state she's unpopular and completely environmentally unconscious. Sorry, this is an issue I'm recently passionate about :) Yes, I'm not a big note giver but I figured it was about time to say hello. So, I see you like the movie Dogma...have you ever seen Clerks or Clerks 2? Clerks 2 is more vulgar but still hilarious... Take care :)
from nessiegurlie :
Yeah, I can see how people would think she looks like a naughty librarian, but personally, I think she needs a makeover. Also, I am still not voting for McCain just because he picked her. That is ridiculous. I also think that McCain could die any minute! I told my friends about it and they just laughed at me, but it's true. Also, about the personal stuff, I can empathize. Harsh criticism and insecurities, as you know, also lead to the disappearance of most of my first entries on d-land. It was really hard at first, but I'm pretty much over it now.
from aryssa18 :
ahaha When I saw her on t.v. I thought she looked like a porn star too! i can totally imagine her letting her hair loose and doing some dance...maybe that's why he chose her. In a way people think "Oh a woman V.P., how revolutionary!" but on the other hand let's face it...sex sells and even though I am a straight female, I'd do her. Thank you for your note back btw. I've actually been reading your diary for about a year...(sorry that's kinda creepy but let me explain) I was on the ron stoppable page too...for like 2 weeks, which is how I found out about the diary. Then, I decided to start one. So yes :) Alyssa
from ship-jumper :
LOL at the naughty librarian! Indeed she does look like that. And despite my own 'fantasies' involving a naughty librarian...I still won't vote for him even if she is his VP!
from aryssa18 :
hey, so I was just wondering how you picked what quotes to use on your diary. Some of them are from epic parts of the plot while others are inconsequential parts of the dialogue...I was jsut curious about the selection process.... :)

from nessiegurlie :
Hey, I was just passing through your blog and I wanted to tell you that I hope you get your license. I know how scary it is, and I wish you the best of luck.
from poolagirl :
You are in a time of major changes, my dearest one. As you leave childhood behind and step into being an adult, the uncertainties raise up like wolves in the night. Keep breathing. Stay patient...and remember...this too shall pass.

And breathe deeply too. Who would have known I majored in English? DUH!

Hey Ashley, don't beat yourself up over a discipline mistake with your dog. It's over and you know you will never do it again. Everybody learned, and all is well. You have SUCH a gentle heart, so it doesn't surprise me that you are so upset. Just relax, breath deeply, and know you are a kind and loving person.

I don't think it's a bad thing for dissing South Park (the show). It just shows how far you've come as a fan. Also, about that teddy bear Muhammad thing, yeah, when I heard that, I thought it was stupid too. Great job on the interview. Mine is on Monday morning, and I also have a partner, but it's the same one I had for my last interview, so it's okay. Peace! V
from nessiegurlie :
Yeah, I noticed your socks that day. I think it's because I manage to notice small things like that. Sometimes I can be very astute. It's creepy...ish.
from nessiegurlie :
Well, I'd have to differ with you on the crying thing. But I think it awesome that your mom actually reads the HP books. I've been pushing them onto my mom, and she says she will read it, and then it ends up somewhere on a shelf. This also happens with most reading things I give her, so I know it's not just an HP thing. Yeah, I don't really like that many televangelists, but I do watch Joel Osteen occasionally. I know he's got like a goldmine from his media publications, but sometimes it helps to put a practical application to things. Have you seen his church in Houston. I passed by it with my dad once on the highway, and it is HUGE! How are things with you?
from poolagirl :
I am so glad you like your icon! That was SUCH a funny comment!
from reldihs :
oh man, i'm going to be submitting my application tonight. i'm so excited! sad though, that we don't hear back from the school until may (ridiculous? indeed). haha, if i'm feeling confident enough about it, i'll send it your way. lol, i even mention something about hitler too. gaaahhh. but yeah, it's freezing down in california too. i get cold so easily, but at the same time, i love it. it adds a little spice into my regular warm weathered life. man, if i knew how to knit, i'd make you a scarf. and you would love it. later gator!
from reldihs :
haha, ash, you're the best. johnny have the ability to trap people in his lies, while i have the ability to trap people in my truths. haha, i actually mention something about jews in it too. haha, best college admissions essay ever!
from reldihs :
ugh, yeah, beowulf totally taps angelina jolie. the movie was so terrible, but at the same time, it was so bad that it was good. lol, i'll probably end up buying it on dvd.
from reldihs :
oh man, you were cracking me up the other night. i'd miss you if you left rs.net. :(
from nessiegurlie :
LOVE the South Park PJs and undies! Too cute! Sociology can be depressing. At least in Psychology you can tell people that it's not entirely their fault, you know, it's (usually) partly chemical, and that buffers things a bit, but with Soc, it's like, someone's not doing their job here...and that's so not cool. Funny. Your class is called Human Societies and mine is called Social Problems, but they're probably very similar. Well, I just wanted to say hey, so I'm going to end it here. Peace! V
from olpdivagirl :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHLEY!!!!!!!!!
from poolagirl :
Happy birthday, sweetie! I truly love the pictures! You are so cute! I tried to send you an ecard but it bounced back to me. Dang!
from nessiegurlie :
Happy Birthday! You're twenty too! I am glad that you have all the seasons of South Park; that freaking rocks. I wish I had time to watch TV; I can't even watch Grey's right now. It's that crazy. But enough about me. Happy freaking birthday, girl! I think next year, you should get your ears pierced for your birthday, if you haven't done so already. Just a thought. Happy birthday! Peace always! V
from reldihs :
well, now that i have have your blessing, i have to do the terrorist idea! ;D that episode sounds epic. epic to the max. i love south park because it pushes the envelope. are you doing anything for halloween?
from poolagirl :
Awwwww.....I am so sad about the little critter. Sending you hugs......
from nessiegurlie :
Sorry...I clicked twice!
from nessiegurlie :
I just decided to change it. I just finished editing it, so all the links should be working properly. Well, I'm trying to get a new counter code, but other than that, it's all good. I was going to post an entry on it, but then I decided, why should I have to explain that? I like it so much. Thanks for the comment! :) Peace. V
from nessiegurlie :
I stopped watching South Park regularly for a long time now. I can't remember the last time I actually watched a full episode. Maybe this will be the last season. I don't know.
from nessiegurlie :
I didn't think it was a Tylenol kind of problem. With colds and stuff, I usually just take Nyquil. It still worked and stuff, but the crappy feeling still remained. I wish I could watch Meerkat Manor, but I'm barely finding time to watch Grey's, and the new season just started!
from poolagirl :
Hey, sweetie. I am so sorry about Flower. What a sad thing. My heart goes out to you. (((hugs)))
from nessiegurlie :
I hear you about the internet thing. This summer, the DISH network at our house started being retarded and I had to call customer service so many times before I could make a service appointment so that they could fix the receiver. Crazy! But they still want the money each month. I used to have RoadRunner, and I had that problem too, with the whole intermittent service during peak times thing. Sucky. I don't know if we are identical twins, per se, but perhaps we are soulmates...yeah? Boils..hate 'em. I get them too, especially when it's really hot. I hope you're not as congested as I am. It is a bitch. Take care, and don't die. Peace. V
from nessiegurlie :
I agree with poolagirl. Also, don't forget that I spent almost this entire summer without Internet. It can be done. It's just phenomenally sucky though. There is a Starbucks in Georgetown too, as well as in the Target. My university's cafe also brews Starbucks. I think Starbucks is scary too, as well as expensive. The coffee tastes good, don't get me wrong, but it is mondo expensive. It doesn't feel like Fall at all. Well, I gotta go. Peace. V
from poolagirl :
Do something wild and nuts for your birthday. And take plenty of pictures!
from nessiegurlie :
Doctors...I hear ya. They mostly point out the obvious. Okay, so I have something...now fix it! Alright, I'll stop there, because I have a love/hate relationship with doctors right now. Statistics, in theory, is simple assumptions about numbers. It's working with those numbers that makes my head spin. And it's gawd awful tedious. Peace. V
from nessiegurlie :
Yeah..you wouldn't want to take your Mom to Carlos Mencia. Marianne Sierk was cool, but not for Mom either. Take your Mom to a musical if you can. Musicals are fun. We had Wyclef Jean last year, and I got to help out with that. We're still trying to figure out who to bring this year. I would have SO gone to Sugarcult if they came to Southwestern. I am trying to control my shopping binges. Trying being the key word here. Flipside, upside, whatever side you catch me on, I'll get back to you eventually. Take care. Peace. V
from nessiegurlie :
Vir...of course she would think that...LOL! Miss that little girl. I wonder what's she doing now. Oh well, anyway, yeah, it's weird that it's been six years since it's happened. Love the new posters, especially the rose one, because that is so true. Was it the Beyond the Wall poster sale at your campus? We had that one like the second week of school, I believe. I bought a Bob Marley, Rent (The Movie) and Grey's Anatomy posters. They were large, so I spent like thirty bucks on that. Yay for new stuff. Ah, Carlos Mencia. Gawd, that would be sweet if you could go, but knowing American Bank Center, it's be hella expensive. Most of the people on my campus are talking about the Austin City Limits music festival, which is also ridiculously expensive. It does span over a weekend, though, and has lots of big name bands. Well, I think this note is pretty long, so I'm going to let you go! V
from poolagirl :
Yarrrr, matey! Me loves the pirate gear ye were wearin' in that picture!
from poolagirl :
The coolest of t-shirts for the coolest of t-shirt wearers! Excellent!
from reldihs :
i hope you're not having too major of an emotional breakdown from the finale. i can't wait to hear what you have to say about it! i hope to see you in the chat!
from reldihs :
graduation tonight!!!!
from nessiegurlie :
Marie. Yes, it sounds pretty, but you'll always be Ashley to me. Geek, nerd, and dork. Not bad if you ask me. I guess I'd be dramatic, nerdy, and emotional.
from olpdivagirl :
i miss you on AIM!!!!! <3
from nessiegurlie :
I was lucky to get on that ride myself, because that line took so long, but it was worth it. I went tubing too, but I stopped at the river because I'm not that good of a swimmer. I didn't even think about the Skycoaster. Too much time in the wave pool, I guess. You're going back tomorrow? Wow! Good luck with classes. It should be exciting. Thanks for thinking of me, and as for HP, no problem. That's what friends are for, to help you discover things you didn't know about yourself. Remember BSC? I actually have a soft spot for one muggle other than Hermione: Dudley. When he and Harry said goodbye, I thought that was sweet. Well, keep in touch; you know where to find me. Peace always!
from nessiegurlie :
Oh, Schlitterbahn. Awesomeness. I went there for my Senior trip. I d the lines too. But I loved the Black Knight; that was my favorite ride. What was yours? Too bad about the sunburn, and enjoy the last days of summer! :)
from reldihs :
i'm happy that you'll get to go to that themepark you've been talking about. i hope you and your family are safe during that hurricane though. take care!
from reldihs :
you had the script all along?! sneaky sneaky! god, i wouldn't be able to keep that a secret if i had it. thank god you have will power. ps i agree guys have cooler clothes, but i'm liking the modernized 80's fashion. :P
from poolagirl :
I see lots of opening for sequels here. Maybe Rowling won't write them, but someone might.
from poolagirl :
OMG! I just got my book!
from poolagirl :
YAAAAAYYYY! I am excited for the new Harry Potter book too! Excited and a little scared.
from reldihs :
i'm so jealous of all the rain you're getting. all we get is 100+ degree hotness. and not the good kind of hot!
from poolagirl :
Being sensitive about animals is a good thing. You rule!
from reldihs :
we don't talk anymore... and that hurts. :'( i miss my daily helping of abl.
from nessiegurlie :
You were going to LiveJournal? Wow. I was just waiting it out. I mean, if it didn't come back on by the time I had come home for the summer, I would have have just taken it as a sign that maybe I shouldn't be blogging after all... But now I see that isn't the case. I love the Rufus shirt!
from olpdivagirl :
ashleyyyy. you've been MIA for...3 days now. i misses you!
from nessiegurlie :
I thought about working for Vector last summer, but it's not that great. You have to pay for the demo kit you use to sell the knives and kitchen products. It's like $200 something dollars. I don't want to be a dream squasher, but I just wanted to let you know in case you hadn't gone to a training session yet. Good luck with finding a job...I may be doing the same thing soon.
from nessiegurlie :
I think I've told you about my Netflix queue, right? I'm starting to ponder about what exact field I want to go into as well. I kind of want to deal with psychois and neurosis just because, but if you go into sex therapy, let me know so I can refer people to you! ;-)
from nessiegurlie :
Yeah, Kim is lucky. She gets to save the world and have a sweet, loyal boyfriend. Yeah, that was interesting to see that the girl (I forgot her name) made her own love-ray. Karma. Yeah, I just decided to see if there was anything interesting on YouTube, and then I remembered that I had missed quite a bit of episodes. Then I found that someone had put "The Cupid Effect" into three parts. Awesomeness.
from nessiegurlie :
The bunnies are cute! My cousin used to have bunnies, but once we let them out the cage, they ran for it!
from nessiegurlie :
Slaughterhouse-Five is pretty cheap on B&N, but there are more negotiable prices on Amazon. I'm thinking I might just check out a book from the library after I've finished my research reading, if there's still time at the end of the semester. If not, I'll probably just buy one at a bookstore...less shipping costs!
from nessiegurlie :
Thanks. :) I was a bit shocked when Kurt Vonnegut died. It was like when James Brown died, but a bit less surprising. He just wasn't a blip on my "death-dar" so to say. I should read one of his books, though.
from nessiegurlie :
Thanks. Britney Spears....interesting. Yeah, I think it was bound to happen, though. After K-Fed, things just went downhill. And Justin Timberlake's career is skyrocketing by the second. It's crazy. I like your collage pic on your homepage.
from nessiegurlie :
Well, since I've just revamped the blog, I haven't written much, but I unlocked my diary, so it should work. If not, let me know. I'm glad you're getting better. Peace always! Ness <3
from reldihs :
i hope you feel better! you should try airborne. haha, i sound like an advertisement, but it really works. just make sure that you take it when you FIRST start to feel like you're getting sick. i'm not sure if that'll help you now, but, hey... i'm just trying to help in the long run! :)
from reldihs :
heck yes you are coming to the convention! I AM SERIOUS. but it breaks california's heart that you don't want to live here.
from reldihs :
abl, seriously, if you would just come to california, you could check off at least six of those things on your life's "to do" list! DUDE!! you should just spend a semester in california. :O!!
from reldihs :
oh man, i totally was watching harry potter 2 completely unaware that they postponed the new episode for that. i was like "yes! finally hp 2 is on! and i WONT fall asleep this time!" ...but i did. :(
from reldihs :
i was just talking about the last few entries, with all the lists of stuff.
from reldihs :
good lord, your last few entries have been crazy jibberish to me! i was like, "oh, she's updated! let's see... WHAT." btw, are you really going to talk on the phone with bob/mark/rs.net users? if so, AWESOME TO THE MAX.
from reldihs :
me know THE michael moore in real life? eeeww! no, this was just some kid i went to elementary school with who happens to have the same name as him. if you think about it, it's kind of a common sounding name... dude... and did you say that you might be getting hair streaks sometime soon? AWESOME, YES.
from reldihs :
i love the haircut! i can't tell though, did you dye it too, or did you decide against all that? have a great weekend, btw!
from reldihs :
DO IT (to both topics)!!
from reldihs :
you should totally color your hair, while you can still use the excuse of being a wild and crazy kid! and you should totally go to the luncheon thing if at all possible! don't think i didn't read your life's to-do list! ps i totally accidentally posted this on my notes. TYPICAL.
from reldihs :
dude, in those pictures you look so tired and depressed... SMILE! also, what kind of style are you cutting your hair?
from reldihs :
also, i'm sorry to hear about all this ff.net stuff... don't let the guilt get to you! not healthy!
from reldihs :
dude, are you going anywhere/doing anything for spring break? :D
from reldihs :
if you ever get the chance, watch "super size me." i'm assuming that's what the episode was based off of. really interesting... and heartbreaking... FOR TEXAS!
from reldihs :
dude, if you are seriously cutting fast food, GOOD LUCK! haha... say it's for lent... but a late start.
from reldihs :
hey! love isn't weird! love is a glorious and beautiful thing! DURR... WHAT ARE YOU REFERENCING, BTW? jk. you can come to california and beat me with a stick anyways.
from jlsdiary :
ha ha - I already thanked oh well - come and see me at flickr some time! http://www.flickr.com/photos/justlikestars/
from jlsdiary :
thank you for filling out my survey!
from reldihs :
so true: i would totally do Math! thanks. i was just REALLY bored on valentine's day. :P
from reldihs :
wow... way to break math's heart. :O
from reldihs :
you say that now... but soon, you'll be lying awake at night thinking, "i miss math class..." and smiling at the thought of you and your math book cuddled up on the couch watching the notebook.
from reldihs :
heck yes, take a math class!
from reldihs :
i love the new layout! it's soothing... :P
from reldihs :
it's not bad... i suck at html, so things are a little crazy, but i'm sure i'll figure it all out sooner or later.
from reldihs :
you kept talking about diaryland, so i thought i'd get one to see what all the hullaballoo was. i think i've had it for almost half a year, but i forgot about it until just recently. haha...
from reldihs :
yarr! hi, friend. --hannah
from poolagirl :
Thank you so much for joining my ring! I look forward to reading through your diary! Arrrgh!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you're not on AIM, and i probably won't catch you early enough tomorrow morning to make that possible belated-ness not as belated. so it's an old-fashioned diaryland note for ya!!! love ya, dear! -meredith
from nessiegurlie :
What up? I managed to get on to a computer..if only for a few minutes. Just thought I'd say hey. Your blog seems to be doing well. I'm going to read your letter. Peace always, Ness <3
from the-moo :
*waves* hi hi hi hi hi you filled in my survey so I've come to say thank you and to tell you that I very much enjoyed reading your answers and I hope it wasn't too tedious for you!!! many hugs etc xxx
from beautigirl :
Thank you for taking my survey. Have a nice day. -Jenna
from pastagirl :
Hey, just wanted to say thanks for filling in my etainment survey :) Will&Grace is indeed freaking funny! I'd love to fill in your Harry Potter survey but I haven't read all books yet (I started reading them quite late...) so I'll get back to that once I've read them all :)
from slywy :
"Does anybody really know what time it is?" -from an old (1970s) song by Chicago "Who could hang a name on you?" -Ruby Tuesday by the Rolling Stones
from olpdivagirl :
Wow, I haven't left you a note in a while .. oh well, you're not online, and I'm tired, so I'm not waiting up :) I got your picture yesterday, you cutie! Once I have time on my hands, I'll sit down and write ya a letter (isn't that a song? lol) ... and then I'll be sending it off to you, along with my fave senior picture that you haven't seen yet! I <3 you like whoa! -Mer
from nessiegurlie :
Surprise! I still remembered your password, so I read your links. You are awesome, and I think we have so much more in common with this distance between us than when we were all close together. As some great person once said, "Familiarity breeds contempt." I know that you will never completely forgive me, but I hope that we can be cool now. I am at my neighbor's house and they have an alright internet connection. I might be back here more often. I'm going to update my diary..gawd knows how long it's been. Peace!
from olpdivagirl :
Oh heck yes we are so meeting up somewhere after '07! We can go halfway...erm...what's halfway? LOL *grins*
from olpdivagirl :
Ashley, you are SO sweet, thank you so much! You are definitely my bestest "online friend" hehe...Love ya lots and lots and lots!!
from ludovic :

from cairli :
ummmm....glad that you wanted to join the history nuts ring - but, you're locked! How does that work?
from olpdivagirl :
wow....that question got me THINKING....what WOULD i have done if i were on the top floor???...........lets see...I think the first thing i would do would call my parents, then my dear Amanda, just telling them that I love them and always will, no matter what. Then i would pray and pray and pray and prolly cry, and then i would just wait for whatever was going to happen to happen.....
from olpdivagirl :
Heck yeah! I'm tryin to think what number my Ashton layout is too lol...he's SO yummie!! I'm off, but I'm sure I'll talk to ya lata!
from caraheble :
Welcome to the Remus Lupin diaryring! Thanks for spreading the Moony love.

from ash-ish :
Hey, I still haven't had a chance to see your diary. You said you'd send me the password....but I didn't get anything, so I haven't exactly had the chance to mosey on in and take a look. Just wanted to let you know! -Ashley
from pinkchickita :
hey i like your diary! your in one of the same rings as me...thats how i found you. feel free to check out my diary and leave me a note if you please! ;-)
from nessiegurlie :
Hello. You can ignore this if you want. I just wanted to say that I have tried to visit your diary on my buddy list and it was locked. I still think it sucks that you had to do that, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Okay, now I feel so stupid, as if I'm leaving a message on the answering machine, but I'm going to leave everything as is anyway. Well, you know where to stalk me, so if you want to talk, I'm here.
from ash-ish :
Gah. I noticed that you put me on your favorite authors list, so I tried to give your diary a look, but 'twas locked. Not cool. Anyways, wanted to let you know that I wanted to check out your diary, find a fellow drama and Harry Potter freak (Ahh! That ending!) -Ashley/ash-ish
from volvo-buddy :

Hey chica! I got it to work and I am happy that I get to read your diary. BTW...nice layout!
from volvo-buddy :
Hi! I read your diary everytime you updated it and I miss reading it cause you locked it. Can I please have your diary password so I can read it? Unless there was a private reason why you locked it...then it's okay.
from prowlingleo :
I know this is officialy random guestbook signing week, but I'm making it a 'thank you for reading me' day. So here is me, thanking you, for continuing to read me.
from prowlingleo :
Thanks for the comments in my guestbook about the layout. Means a lot to me, I worked hard on it and really know nothing about html...so thanks!
from candygurl16 :
hey, im new here and i also love the harry potter books. g2g cya.
from caged-freed :
saw you were a member of the anti-anorexia diaryring and thought this new forum at caged-freed might interest you. check it out, if you can, and take care.
from volvo-buddy :
About your animal question: I am not sure. I only learned this about cats the other day.
from volvo-buddy :
I am still upset about the kitties, but it's my grandma's fault for touching them. If you touch kittens that young, they are "contaminated" and the mom HAS to kill them. It's horrible.
from ladybugdyke :
Hey thanks for the note!
from ladybugdyke :
Hey could you do me a favor and come answer the question(s) about AJ McLean in my latest entry? Thanks!
from volvo-buddy :
Hey there! Thanks! I love the new layout too. I was soooooo speechless when I saw it. I'm glad it looks better.
from volvo-buddy :
Hey there. I've been a fan of them since like 1997, but really got into them around the beginning of 1998. I liked Nick for like for like 8 months, and I've loved Howie for a lil' more than 4 years. I'm obsessed with him, and I'm 18. They are just awesome! Nice to meet you too.
from volvo-buddy :
Backstreet Boys are really awesome!! Great choice for a group. I love your diary too.
from weelilones :

from animemoon :
Hey um. I like your diary. Your's is like the only one so far that is on my favorites. :)
from hotluvin :

from hotluvin :
Lol, sorrie, I wrote the last msg, but forgot to logg out of smiley reviews :)
from smileyreview :
Hey! ur page looks much better now! Oh, if u want to get ur diary reviewed, think abt submitting to peach-review cuz we didn't have many requests lately.Thanks.
from hotluvin :
hehehe, good luck. and it would look better if u got the background of imood to match ur box background, I love to have all my colours matched!! lol
from hotluvin :
Thanks for adding me, I've done the same. If you don't know how to add ur imood in ur entry box, let me know :)
from hotluvin :
Hey! Yes, the font looks much better now, don't worrie too much abt html, you should save your code somewhere, and then practise. Sorry my diary was locked, I was switching the layout, and I locked it until I was finished. You can go read it now, even though it's really boring. Anyways, my name is Dee, hehe since u weren't sure.
from hotluvin :
If u are going to look for a new layout, check out beautify.diaryland.com :) Got lots of free layouts. Html isn't that bad, hehe, if you need help, let me know. And if u want to try the html first, before puttin on ur page, go to diz website http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp.
from hotluvin :
It won't be hard, just pick one or two colours, and match it all up. You can add a link to a new page, where you should put the neopets and the egg stuff :)
from hotluvin :
I reviwed ur diary earlier. I didn't say ur layout sucks, I just think you should clean it up a little. And your writing is ok, it would have been better if you put more emotions in it. :)
from smileyreview :
Your diary has been posted @ Smiley reviews.
from nessiegurlie :
3/11/2002 7:05 P.M. The Late January to End of February 2002 and Current pages are backwards. Switch the titles. I'm glad you got that crap fixed. Check back to my diary soon.
from nessiegurlie :
Sorry about the html. Turns out, the html code works as a link. After you archive, you should get a gray box showing "older.html" and "older1.html". Just change the "older1.html" description to whatever you called it before when you planned to archive. I don't know if this helps, but I'm doing the best I can.
from nessiegurlie :
3/10/2002 About 10:15 P.M. Ash- The only way to fix your archives is to click add new archive page, then put all the entries that you would like to have archived in that page. Make sure that you leave your latest entry, which is at the top in the older.html page. All your other entries will be in the older1.html page and you can link to that by using

whatever you want to call it

At least, I think that's how it works. Anyways, I just clocked in online because I'm sick with the *coughs* horrible cold. As for your four-year plan on the schedule...I'm just as confused as you are! Sorry if this does NOT help you. Anyways,I'm just really tired so I'm going to end this now. Talk to you when I can. -Ness
from nessreviews :
3/9/2002 Hey. Since I made your first "official" guestbook entry, why not make you first official note on d-land? I got your note. Thanks a lot. :-)
