I clicked through on your banner and then read back a little ways to hear about discovering that you have PCOS. I also have PCOS, diagnosed just over two years ago. I'm 19 now. At the time I was tested, I had only had six or seven periods in a span of over four years...that was the hint that something was kind of wrong. I guess each case is different, but my doctor was really great about not making a big deal about it; she had two sisters who had it and they both bore children in middle age with almost no problems. She seemed to be very much of the opinion that if you're on the Pill to keep it under control, as long as you don't stress about it and maintain a health lifestyle things will be fine. I realize living in the United States where healthcare is expensive can be a major cause for concern, but if I were you I would try and stay happily focused on the regularity that this diagnosis *does* bring to your life as opposed to concerns it may cause.
from imatwin :
I read your poem 'Virgin 26' and I feel that even at the age of 14 that I will be going down the same road.
from nakedbarista :
Yep, I was right. They ran me through the battery of tests today to test me for PCOS. I know it's a pretty personal thing, but I'd love if you could keep us a little posted on how you're doing. It makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one just finding this all out.
from f-i-n :
i clicked your banner!
from emu-head :
Heh heh. Thanks for the note! I didn't know about that. A surefire way to fight my scurvy!
from donib :
I don't know you... found your diary through a banner, but my heart goes out to you! I have been dealing with PCOS since before they had a name for it, and it resulted in a hysterectomy last year, with no children (lost three at about 5 months, each. Talk about heartbreaking! I'm not sure I'll ever get over that.) It is treatable, but my advice to you is that if you want children, make that a top priority, as early as possible, married or not! My folks now wish that I'd actually had those kids they were so scared of back in my early 20's. But my bleeding issues started at 28, and 6 years later, I had to have the surgery. In that time, I lost at least 3 children that I knew of, and the doc said I probably lost more that just didn't develop enough for me to feel them moving. There was extensive scarring that proved this. Just take care of yourself, do what the docs say, and give them detailed feedback about what's going on. That's the only way they can help you.
from nakedbarista :
I'm gonna add you, if that's ok. I'd like to keep track of the PCOS story. I've got an appointment next week to find out the very same thing.
from artgnome :
saying prayers for your good health and your good fortune.
from emu-head :
*sending some happy girl-parts vibes your way*
from fridayfilms :
Hi, I just found your journal by way of a banner. I wanted to say that I once lost my period for a few months, but it was because I was under extreme duress and not eating very much. Either one of these things is enough to stop your body's regular cycle. I would look for hidden or obvious signs of stress before I started worrying about anything serious. Anyway, I hope everything works out.
from f-i-n :
I've been through the exact same thing....loving a teacher that the school doesn't love....
from evilyoyo :
Hey, Alan Alda is cute too, but what will you say about this: Alex Kapranos from Franz Ferdinand. I secretly want to marry him. That's why I really need to go to that concert ;-).
from emu-head :
Happy National De-Lurking Week!
from perceptionss :
Your TranceJen link isn't working. Have a nice delurking week =)
from candoor :
I;'m reading 'method' and thinking like method acting so you clean using the method... I should wake up before reading, I know... I have a good time in my head though, so it's worth it... hope you feel better :)
from final137 :
I can understand what you mean about the kids not needing someone else giving them a speech. On the same note, authority, out of respect and not just to lord over them, teaches them boundaries that make them know they are cared for.. and they end up better for it, even if they kick at the time to see if you mean it.
from raven72d :
I just found your entries and poems. Random chance, I suppose. But your writing is excellent.
from damodred :
You are right, you should be proud of yourself.
from artgnome :
I am 45 years old, with a kid and am living on student loan checks while I go to school, live below poverty level, and do the bill collector's dance. You are not alone, and it's not because of your age, heh. Fortunately though, my school loan check came last week, so I would be happy to send you a tenner. Give me an email addy to send me an address and I'll send you a check, k? k. - artgnome
from geeked-out :
This is what I sent to your aim. Unfortunantly it said you were no longer signed on. "Sup yo. This is geeked-out. Lonely apartments suck. So do 18 year old bitches who tell me I can't smoke wherever I damn well please."
from f-i-n :
I really like your poems! Nice!
from diosadebaile :
It's not just you, Pat Robertson is indeed completely nuts...I just don't get it, all the Americans I know seem so normal...but then there are people like Pat, and unfortunately they're running your country...And all us Canadians just scratch our heads and roll our eyes and hope they don't decide that we are infidels due to our legalization of gay marriage and lax pot laws. Here's hoping...
from geeked-out :
You know it's totally possible. I was adopted.
from mousewalker :
i found your diary from the spoiledink site, and having nothing better to do, (don't ever work for the state) read all of your entries. my husband also suffers from depression/anxiety. it tends to run in families, (his skipped a generation) do any of your relatives have it?
from zerom3ph :
sheesh you think those prices are bad, you should see the prices in southern california, over here it's like $800/month for a hole in the wall studio in someone's backyard (no utilities included). good luck with the interview though (got one myself tomorrow afternoon)
from buttonjar :
I just recently discovered your journal, but I love your poems. You are an awesome writer, keep it up. You've got a very rare but priceless talent, and I admire your work! :) Sophie
from bluemeany :
Hey, thanks for clicking on my banner o'cheesy! And I must say, I don't understand men either. Especially my husband -- what a weirdo!
from loner-blues :
I'd be happy to enlighten...if I had *any* clue whatsoever as to what the behavior of Bachelors #1 or #2 means. I don't get it either.
from candoor :
my first thought was to ask you what your favorite memory was, but then, I like my second thought better... what do you want most to change about your life right now, and how could that happen?
from damodred :
I've tried twice to read that essay thing in your diary and I just can't do it.
from jayla :
i don't know you but a friend of mine found your entry sometime somehow. i'm out in salisbury and heard about brandon too. i knew him through my bf, heron. but he pretty much died from an allergic reaction which brought on anaphalactic shock and a sorta asthma attack. crazy and strange that that's what happened to him in the end when he'd tried so many times and always won past.
from raven72d :
Nice essay on Genet and Sartre.
from zerom3ph :
now that's just patheric. sure, the amendments are worded by sophists. but even with that in mind, it's really not what i'd call subtle. hopefully we wake up and smell the brimstone that's become of our legislation.
from pansycline :
did you read this news story? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4500245.stm ... a (mentally deficient?) 13 year old is MUCH more qualified to be a mother!

It's a frightening time to be an American, isn't it? What I think is truly ironic, is the fact that the Khomenis and Wubbyas of the world can't see that they're EXACTLY alike.
from geeked-out :
Yeah I had a thing for Wayne Rogers the guy that played McIntyre. But Mike Farrell the guy that playe B.J. was and still is an attractive man. I've only gotten up to season 4 on the DVDs so far. I'm a little happier than I should be about this, mainly because everyone always makes fun of me for liking the show. Apparently it's not cool or something ridiculous.
from geeked-out :
OH and I'm right there with you on Jeremy Irons. He makes my lust light go crazy.
from geeked-out :
I have to tell you that I have just developed a serious crush on you for mentioning Alan Alda from M*A*S*H. that is my favorite TV show and I've had the biggest crush on him since I was a kid. Okay I have to ask if you actually like the show. I promise not to stalk you.
from geeked-out :
It's impossible for me to part with books as well.
from loner-blues :
Ooooo! I loved the last sentence: "The earth feels like it's breathing." I would love a few more details like that, scattered throughout the piece; I think they help draw the reader in, make them feel what the protagonist feels. And maybe a stronger beginning...something that grabs the readers by the throat and doesn't let go. An excellent first draft. -cat
from loner-blues :
Maybe Current Crush or ber-Special Crush? Seven years w/o a relationship and three to four without kisses? Hmmm, I still got ya beat...I've gone twenty-seven years, three months, twenty-five days, fourteen hours and forty-six minutes without either...not to mention the same amount of time without groping or shagging either. :-D Wanna trade places?
from geeked-out :
As soon as I get this DVD burner figured out I will definitely not burn you a copy of Vampire Hunter D. Do you not want Bloodlust as well? I'll let you know and then you can ummm not send me your address.
from loner-blues :
Hehehe...okay, but I warn you: I don't have ANY notes to compare. :-D
from loner-blues :
Say hello to the girl who can out-geek you (and pretty much everyone else NOT raised in a third world country and who DOESN'T count themselves among the good Christians who are saving themselves for marriage) when it comes to relationship history. :-)

It was $700 for me to get a cingular phone. I had one through At&T and then one day they just turned it off for no apparent reason. I go up there and they have no record of me. I almost killed him. T-Mobile is full of frat boys. Maybe they think CZJ actually comes into stores.

I really like your blog. Not to sound overly familliar or anything but we have almost the exact same taste in music, books, etc... I just saw the Pixies live in Regina. They have reunited and are doing an abbreviated short tour. I was worried that seeing them live would ruin the great myth of them I have built up in my head but no, they were amazing. If you have the chance you should go, who knows how long this renewed togetherness will last.
from ravenfae :
I just finished my finals too *phewph*
from threewishes :
um... i was just going to note you and ask where on earth you'd gone, and why you weren't updating, and to tell you that you need to get back on it, as i consider you one of the 'good diaries,' and i don't think there are many out there, and i was worried that you were dead, or that you were just done writing, or that you had switched to dx or something without telling anyone... and then, in another window, i checked to see how long it had been since you had updated, and *shock!* you updated today. which leaves me with nothing other than, good work, keep it up, and ten-four.
from soitwillbe :
i'm from jersey so the jersey circle had my eye. i just started this whole diary thing as a vent from unbiased anonymous based web "stuff" i saw you enjoy camus. e e cummings is my hero, along with bill murray. richard brautigan is pretty amazing too. sums up things bluntly, "I feel horrible. She doesn't love me and I wander around the house like a sewing machine that's just finished sewing a turd to a garbage can lid." my site is bare as a bum, so i apologize.
from rebornpunk :
Amazing. Bittersweet though. Reminds me of highschool. Steph<><
from suicidalsada :
Your neat. I enjoy reading your writing. uhm. *insert something clever and witty here*

Still so intruiging, from social conscience to intimate memories (and wonders about what is creativity and what is real life), you are a special read.
from brutalyoga :
time for a boring note from a stranger!! i like your tastes in movies.
from damodred :
who wrote you back?
from licalicious :
I saw rumblelizard (who lives in my city, oddly) post that, and also saw you had left a guestbook entry prior. I thought it odd, as I found both of you seperately. 2/12/04 - I always get annoyed at people making a lot of noise in the lab at school. fortunately for me, the lab monitors at my school are on top of that shit and they will come over and tell someone to shut up in a minute. still, it's rude and inconsiderate to do that crap in the first place.
from icomeundone :
hello there. ran across you through a banner. we have a lot in common. our distaste in pink and valentine's day. hope that your poem goes well. good luck. for my class i had to write one based on an ancient myth. so while you write about sex, i'll be writing about incest and eating your own kids. nice. hope the concert is nice. the outfit looked stunning. i'm going to add you as a fave on my other diary as well as this one. http://stealmypurse.diaryland.com. keep in touch. the poem you wrote about your grandmother's manicure was so beautiful. it made me catch my breath.
from ravenfae :
You have quite a splendiferous diary, which I've been reading for only 15 minutes but I have read a good many entries. A good many entries more than I am able to tolerate in most people's diaries. (Even, yes, my own) You = being added to my favorites list. Whether you want it or not :P
from candoor :
heinlein grabbed me, convince your sister to start a diary, and I'd still love to sit and talk with you over coffee or whatever you're drinking these days...

Tried this in your guest book, but it wouldn't work: Been reading you off and on since i first got my *diary*... just tried this with a whole bunch of questions which are now lost... I'll try to remember the questions: What makes you feel vulnerable? What makes you feel content? How do you differ from your personal ideal of yourself and why? What is a recent accomplishment? What have you been hoping to accomplish? How do you see yourself? How do you think others see you? Are you misunderstood? How? What do you see for yourself in 5, 10, 15 years? When you were younger, how did you think you would be at this age? How does this differ from who you have become? Toodles! angelica

*Finding a bit of resentment to the previous post "even if you are 25" as if that is old* Ahem...anyways...Diaries, I agree, tend to get stale unless you have a gimmick, or an extensive reserve of time in which to come up with deep and creative imaginings. I would like to pose this question, "What is it about the public, yet anonymous, medium of online journaling that makes itso tempting?" *reading more of your journal that I found off a banner* Maeve
from bottleofbluz :
regrets of undaring are bitter... But in the end, are you satisfied with what you are now despise the traditional stone marks you missed? The only things that really exists is the present: the future is a concept and the past is dead. Go dance naked in the rain even if you're 25, in a field, in the summer. It doesn't matter. I'd send you fishnet stockings if i had more than one pair : /

...and i bet you thought i didn't read this anymore. strange that i picked this entry to look at for the first time in a month or so. you can still do those things, even though it will cost you. you have to be prepared to make yourself uncomfortable. but if you think that's worse than being complacent, then i feel sorry for you. i still love you. come and visit, Dianne would love to see you too. http://www.livejournal.com/users/caithalia

Popularity isn't everything, but it feels so good, dudnit? Legalizing (making a law to rule how something must be done) gives government and big business power over us. Legalizing relationships (marriage) is fundamental to the power base of the religion business, still the biggest of the big multinational corporations and the only actual international government. Sucks, actually, but that is the human way so far.
from vanoonoo :
my question is - do you know the way to san jose?
from smackattacky :
Thank you for reading my diary! And, although I'm not a militant feminist, don't laws like this make you start theorizing about obligatory castrations or something? Or no, maybe all male leaders must get shots of estrogen so they'll realize that killing innocent people by dropping bombs on them is maybe more morally "iffy" than allowing women to take care of their individual health. I better stop now, but great entry!
from odalisk :
Hmm. Just the idea that the desire to 1. value an authentic object and not an unauthentic object and 2. see in an authentic object some sort of residue of time - like it gives you access, by its mere presence, to an historical epoch or the artist who made it, etc. can be classified as a fetish. A fetish is sort of, generically speaking, the desire to see something as present when it is not present, and, in particular, to locate its presence on an object.
from threewishes :
hey-- i can relate to the whole vh1 obsession. i watched "i love the seventies" all summer. it was impossible to get me away from the t.v. and to answer your question: yes, i think that is a huge part of why i am freaking out. i've been joking with my friends for about a month that i would have a threesome with them if the opportunity arose... and then it did, and it was time to step up to the plate or eat my own words. anyway, thanks for stopping by! i hope to hear from you again.

bah it's more important to be deep than pretty. At the end of it, it's just a body, and an appearance. But we shouldnt let ouserleves be impressed by all the massmarket of lean-is-god. It's not always. im rambling

Hello...I read your entry on not having any friends, and it made me sad. I don't pity you...because pity is just degrading and unworthy of humans...but I empathize with you. I hope someone comes along to make you smile, sometime soon. And if they don't happen along...well, I'll be your friend, even though you have NO idea who I am. I'll be anyone's friend if they need one, because I know how it feels. Bright blessings to you. ~*Cielamara

<bows> greetings, here, oh kindly poet. intriguing banner you have there , and frankly you should know it. beats don't rhyme and rhymes don't beat but that should not disturb us, the world of poetry is vast so let difference not perturb us. i'll visit now and then to see what wonders you exhibit but don't expect to hear me sing, for i am no L. I just stumbled on diaryland today, and i happened to see your site, i wanted to comment on the "a new low" entry... i've been in a bit of a self implemented social lull, myself. I try think of my down time as more of a growth opportunity, although sometimes times can be tough... so as a fellow down-timer (among other things, it seems...) I just wanted to say hi and wish you a day not of focusing on what yer missing, but on how you're growing and expanding as a person... you know this, i'm sure, but it's always nice to have someone else nudge you with it, it shows they care, and that's always a good feeling. To more self exploration, and the great things it brings! Angelica Pelican (licalicious)
from theshivers :
ok, i tried to leave you a guestbook message but i dont think it took...so, let's try this again: OK, questions and rules. First the rules: Post this along with your questions and answers: 1.Sign the guestbook, saying you want to be interviewed. 2. I will respond; i'll ask you five questions. 3. You'll update your website with my five questions, and your five answers. 4. You'll include this explanation. 5. You'll ask five other people five questions when they want to be interviewed. 1. What's your favorite book and why? 2.How big of an influence as gender been in your life? (feel free to interpret this question however you like - just go with it). 3. When and where were you happiest? 4. Is it true that age ain't nothing but a number? Why or why not? 4. Name three people you consider geniuses. 5. Who has been the biggest influence on your life?
from diosadebaile :
I would love to meet you at the Folk Fest, although the one I attend is in Edmonton, Canada. But I understand how those four days are enough to maintain some semblance of sanity for the other 361 dreary days of the year. I've been every year since I was 7, it's my Christmas, too bad it looks like I won't be able to get it off work this year:(
from strummer- :
I was put on a payment plan at the library. I owed them $595.89. Im still not allowed to go, not because they have my picture up on the wanted list or anything, but because I dont trust myself. Glad to see Im not the only one. Maybe we could start a support group. I know there are more like us out there
from qwert :
Its bad karma to copyright the revolution.
from ruvoryn :
I'm still here! :) I'm a real, honest-and-for-true reader. And I always enjoy your entries.

from what i'm told, the photo shoots are done pretty much the way the models want them(two of my friends have sets posted there)
from zerom3ph :
heh, you too eh?
from zerom3ph :
happy birthday! and no, 26 isn't really that old. i don't think you start to get old until you can predict the weather with your kneecaps.
from elliorange :
Happy Birthday! I hope you enjoy your special day! Ooo... $1 margaritas! Have fun!
from kathiec :

from plan9 :
Sping feeling like winter this year. People, send money and liquor to beatpoetgirl. There's not enough of people that like Ginsberg and there seems to be alot of cash and liquor out there. Someone has to have it. Cheers
from bottleofbluz :
I know you'll make it, I trust in you :)
from sxejenny :
You don't know me,but I read your entry about your outlook on life there. It's never to late...as long as there's a will, there's a way. It may seem like some things suck, but God can get you through it. Believe me,I know.
from bottleofbluz :
as for studying, you could go abroad; cheaper, a whole lot of new experiences and you can obtain bursaries for that... Maybe you jsut need a alittle shove in any direction. We can see such an amazing potential of intelligence in you (and i'm absolutely not being flattering, i don't say that to just anybody); maybe you just need some motivation?
from zerom3ph :
the whole 'flotsom' feeling blows goats, i know. maybe you should just get off ur ass and start doing some of those things you don't anymore. ie- going out at night, dating, etc.

I thought i had my life figured out when i was 16. its funny how invincible you are to every aspect of life at that age.I like to keep that little bit of 16 year old blood in me. It allows you to believe you can make a difference in the world. i love that.. I really enjoyed your diary. i think the weekly question is a good idea! keep it up!
from diosadebaile :
I just read Dear Allen, I too am one of the minions who discovered his genius in a college English class and desperately wrote my own. You're great. Kerouac, Ginsberg, Creely...they changed my life.

very nice april fools joke. i clicked on your banner and was taken aback with your entry after I real your profile. I'm glad it was only a joke =)
from jerseydevil :
When you were sixteen, what did you think you'd be like when you were twenty-five? Were your predictions in any way accurate?
from bottleofbluz :
concerning your April fool's entry: ... How you dare diss Avril???! She's the summum of the punkness!! ... april fool ;) Seriously. That entry, from you, was really, REALLY funny. No sicnerely. I even laughed.

hehe..aww. we're kicking iraq's ass! woo! take that, third world! aren't we great? and so damn brave. try taking on france, germany, russia and china, why not? sorry beat, distracted..i probably didn't have a question anyway. am just playing for time while waiting for jinks tofinish work (is still stranded in london..go rail-strikes!) (rambles on and on)
from devouredsoul :
I'm sorry I did not like your banner. Honestly Bush isn't the one who makes ALL the decisions. LOOK into the details before you critisize. We're kicking Iraq's ass anyways. I'm not saying war is a good thing, but you shouldn't put up a banner thats so controversial. oh wait i'm talking to a girl who speaks to a beat...awesome!!! (no sarcasm)
from gem-chan :
Loved your banner! Is it possible to think deep thoughts while painting your nails and plucking your eyebrows? I tried, but I ended up poking myself in the eye. Better to schedule times to be deep and shallow than to try to do both and end up with an eyepatch.
from hardest-itch :
Okay I have two questions. 1)What is the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning? 2)What is your favorite memory?
from whenyouare :
I have a crush on you.
from ruvoryn :
You're fabbity fab fab, your writing is awsome, and you have good, strong light in you. Don't let the man get you down. I enjoy each visit here.
from minstrelite :
i must be dumb, but i can't figure out how to access your previous entry or older entries - i'm trying to get to where i was this afternoon...help me out!
from scifimagpie :
War is never good for the digestive system. I suggest a long run, and a tasty fruit smoothie instead. Well, worked for me! Cheers.
from kstarr :
there is so much text in your profile that ohmmm i get dizzy. but keep up the rock&roll. whoakay?
from bed-monster :
I'm bed Monster and ready to attack! So read my new diary! -BM
from glammore :
I am 25 years old too. I understand your feelings. I am praying(which I don't do) for the Iraqi people.
from solarlab :
one word. courting. i wish i had any internal strength and confidence to slowthefuckdown. but, it SHOULD be like a movie. create a spark. slowly layer it with the evolution of you(plural). just be really honest so he doesn't think you are playing a game. i wish i understood how to be like that.
from rassoodocks :
something to add to your wishlist if you haven't already read it..."A Clockwork Orange" anthony burgess is truely a novelist at his best with this book...by the way...I'm the girl that talked to you the other day on aol...my sn is prettilostprofet...this is my diary. have a good one!
from caithalia :
at first i was going to say "that's okay, babe. take things at your own pace." but i changed my mind. you might *never* be "ready", in the sense that you're comfortable. things like that don't become comfortable until you're used to them. i say you should go for it. lose yourself in passion. you'll be able to find yourself again when it's over, i promise.
from vivalamande :
Jumping into things is highly overated. Just take things like you want to take them. We all have to come out of hiding eventually...some of us are just a little slower at it.
from zerom3ph :
from my understanding, the cool guys just don't believe in dating services and singles ads. they're too busy being cool to really put effort into them.
from heartshaped :

from ishoutblind :
Seeing as you're a good poet and all..I was wondering if you would perhaps check out my newest poems, just to validate them for me? http://ishoutblind.diaryland.com/73.html Thanks, keep up the awesomality.
from cyber-poet :
hello, I like your diary...its interesting to read...keep up the poetic writings, good day.
from chiv :
i notice that possibly as a result of my antics, i've been upgraded from confusion to..antics! i can only say "hurrah!" ..and some other words that really couldn't matter less right now.
from fineskylark :
But then, a lot of writers who are otherwise very good are dismissed for their anti-Semitism--Rudyard Kipling, for example. Good point, though...you made lots of them.
from raven72d :
Wallace Stevens, "The Idea of Order at Key West"... one of the perfect poems... Or Rilke's "Sonnets to Orpheus"... I hope you'll read those...
from ohmyohmy :
kurt vonnegut rocks me socksies. as does desolation angels. as does radiohead and beck among other things. also, funky breeders basslines that make you want to say 'alternative music' and not feel gay about it.
from dranonphg :
[your profile]...i never would have looked into zora neale hurston otherwise. thanks
from zerom3ph :
sound advice. unfortunately, it always takes a serving of misfortune before most people break out of that circle of funhouse-mirror logic.
from goovie :
a friend of mine usually tapes stuff at frff, and i was listening to a mix cd he made of various performances from '00 and '01. i could make a tape copy (no cd burner, sorry) if you want one.
from apathee :
dear girl. as of right this hot second; you are my favourite. only because of the perfect observation that you made about our dear Bush. sigh. so good.
from pantybrains :
I feel as though you must update. I would say of it was David St. Hubbins dictates in the Stonehenge song. "And god said that it was goooooooooooooooooooooooood." Or something like that.
from grungedeath :
hey i saw your profile and i had to drop you a note i love angelina jolie movies and i really love foxfire most people dont. i also love most the bands you mentioned..you should read my diary:)
from zerom3ph :
there are plenty of guys out there who look for just those qualities.... they're all shy folk though so you really need to smack them on the forehead to get their attention.
from zerom3ph :
about the kiddies: i'm sure they won't notice if you just..... sell one. so long as you give them a kickback.
from morleykc :
unbearable whiteness of being? bad pun...haha! Kundera is amazing though, isn't he?
from ninevolt :
Beatpoetgrrl Hi, I have always wanted to know more about the beats, but I have never gotten around to it. Will you to help me? I beleive that Capitalism is fucking up human civilization but I feel helpless to do anything about it sometimes. I just keep driving small good on gas mileage cars, consuming as little as possible, buying only second hand clothes, and ranting about socialism to my friends. Oh yeah, I don't actually have any friends right now, but if I did I would. Incidentally- I was 93 percent matched with you in the first category and 96 percent matched with you in the second category on that test of yours. I had fun taking the test***! Anyways, I though it would be cool to meet someone who is supposedly somewhere between 93-96% similar to me and I them and vice versa verse vice-a ... if you want to rap drop a line sometime at [email protected] or check my minimal diary under this name. ninevolt. Sincerely, ***James***

from gelert :
ah, you were right, of course, i did rather like that update. thank you, i suppose (i've just noticed that i'm not chiv, so, er..better make sure you know that i..am..woo..coherency!).
from orangina21 :
I loved your entry in defense of poetry, and I submitted it to "Best Entries." Just thought I'd let you know- I hope that's okay! http://bestentries.diaryland.com
from heartshaped :
i dig you. xo.
from actionfigure :
1. i can only speak for myself. 2. i can't forgive you (or all of you) on my own behalf, and certainly not on behalf of us (the Other). 3. but it's important that you're asking yourselves these kinds of questions, that you're challenging your own privileges and assumptions, and i guess most of all that you feel bad. yes, i like it that you feel bad. that may sound kinda mean but i think you understand. 4. perhaps you should move beyond this paralysis. like i said, serving penance and receiving absolution (by attending an anti-racist event or by explicitly being forgiven by someone) won't do anything. you may feel better, but the rest of us are no better off. you have to actually start doing something, beginning with questioning and challenging yourself (which i'm glad that you're starting to do). 5. so what do you have to do? second thing - don't expect people of colour to have all the answers. your people constructed these societies - my people are just trying to make it. but you absolutely must listen to what we have to say. not much of an answer? tough. (that's mean too, but i think it's quite justified.) we have to work together, but the important thing is that you take a step back when it's most difficult for you to do so, and take responsibility when it's most difficult to do so. following? don't marginalize us, then expect us to tell you how to create a non-racist space. 6. i know i'm sounding stern and critical, but the reason i'm dialoguing with you is because i think there's hope in such a conversation. i wouldn't waste my time otherwise. i think you could be a good ally - you just need to keep kicking yourself in the ass.
from paigestar :
Youre hysterical!!!!!!! and you began the nerd girls ring (which im part of) cool shit!!! i know this is shameless but you seem cool and no one has read my journal or left any notes would ya?
from worldgurl :
I love yer line about society growning dumb and numb on pop music and pop culture, and yer mention of jewel and bad poetry. TOO FUNNY! Don't give up little sistah'. Keep doing what yer doing.
from chiv :
crikey. chile eh. and that was leftist until the us. got involved..the way chile is, was 'their' idea (or ideal? either way...bodes..not well). some of that is pretty scary. benito bush has a certain ring to it. adolf ashcroft too. oh, i shouldn't let my love of alliteration distract me so easily..
from herworship :
merry christmas to you, cha cha cha.
from herworship :
Ooo, pumpkin rot! I had this last year, entirely by mistake. We had an unexpected freeze and the pumpkins went from solid to black mush overnight. Blek! And after putting them in the garbage bag, carrying them to the can was like carrying a dead body.
from chiv :
congratulations, i think. as for the slacker award...step up? pfft, sounds like a hassle.
from damodred :
hey girl, where ya been? i miss reading what you have written. i also miss chatting at you. *hugs*
from mymichele :
Hey, good times.. I will be back soon!
from addieplum :
hey...i was just reading your morristown thrifting entry...i have actually raised 7 seeing eye dogs, but it's been a long time since the last one graduated and we got to go see him do the walk...morristown rocks!
from giallothang :
Hey, love the new bangs, I think they frame your face beautifully. *smooches*
from silvereyes :
I watched "Dream for an Insomniac" again last night and I couldn't stop thinking of how much you reminded me of Frankie. All this time you've seemed so familiar to me, and now I know why.
from trickymartin :
just wanted to promote the fact that i still have a huge effin crush on you. egads, but u rule.
from slauditory :
Your 10/23 entry is so on-it...and boyrepellant (I think) said something about most of these diaries being vague/elusive/pseudo-intellectual, and I agree...I also think that yours isn't one of those vague, pseudo-intellectual things. Your diary entertains and occasionally enlightens me. Keep up the clarity and self-depracation.
from worldgurl :
heeeeey. i totally get it. I think you never know who is reading and what they might glean from your musings. And outside of writing, just like your Jamieson, you never know might be observing you and learning from you. Good entry my dear!
from boyrepellant :
i enjoyed the content of your diary very much, it is not the standard vague/elusive/pseudointellectual style that so many have. If you are ever on AIM, i would enjoy talking to you. Please check out my page and tell me what you think.
from damodred :
aww, thanks for adding me to your favorites. :) i love your diary too.
from trickymartin :
you are my favorite. snuzzles and poptarts.
from nsyncart :
Hey, just wanted to drop ya a note, and tell ya, i love what i've read so far!
from ann-frank :
I like the photographs ... a lot ...
from poetical :
http://poetiku.diaryland.com/ feel free to post....you can post haiku there anytime you wish, it's my other site and it's open to all. Your haiku rocks. I hate flowerery haiku. Read the first entry...I think you'd be interested in that book.
from poetical :
I read Shopgirl in one sitting and I adored that book. There was something so raw about the main female character. I too thought it was going to be weak since Steve Martin is supposed to be funny. Stereotyping....sad sin that I was guilty of!
from seluj :
egads, there is someone else in the world that thinks a bit like me. I like reading your diary; it means that I don't have to bother with writing in mine.
from insectgod :
i have made no attempt at making friends in diaryland up until now. i wish neal cassady was my dad. my current favorite word is residue. let's go
from trickymartin :
i totally agree with you. if you've read my entries of late i am first handedly dealing with a lot of this blind nationalism as well. i wish all this energy we expend on buying flags and pointing white fingers was used for something constructive. like ending hate in fucking general. ps-you are totally cute, in response to yesterdays queeries. also, yr page layout rocks.
from poetical :
cool new digs!
from bellis :
Love the thoughts, grrl. I'm with you, and I know what you mean.
from wingd-pony :
So beautiful. And I know just what you mean. Just can't turn it off. And ... I don't think I want to either.
from imriderwaite :
hey hey. I really like your diary. I was reaidng the stuff about the kaddish, funny thing is i know about a million rituals and spells and stuff and magical potions but non eof them seem to fit this situation. I guess it's just the fact that it's so unexpected, and i'm just not caring and guilty because of it. In fact i feel like mErseult in "the stranger" a book i'm sure you have read. I hope i dont turn into a huge fly tommorow. Please read my diary if you get a chance. Dona Eis Requiem ( i dont know if the laitn ois appropriate here but i really love latin masses), and blessed be. Mark!
from hotbox :
You are a beautiful writer. Loving your diary. From a fellow Kurt Vonnegut admirer.
from poetical :
I'm reading almost daily..your words. I think as long as we express we can not be held down. I'm thrilled to see many updating frequently, because it is a path to healing. I agree. There are no words.
from sugarbug :
I'm truly in awe of the literary skills you possess. Most people can't write like that, and it's inspiring to read your thoughts.
from crimson-cry :
You are the most beautiful person that I have ever been alowed to see the inside of. Your writing is imensly perfect. I find myself in tears reading you passionate honesty. I really could use some constructive criticzm from a belle person such as yourself for my diary. It still needs some work and any tips that you could throw out in my guestbook would be greatly appriciated. Thankx. Heart. *Starr
from broken-glass :
Hello! I see we have some webrings and interests in common... Your writing is excellent, I love your poetry (and so much poetry on the web is crap, so it was a great find!). And you like tiggers! BTW, I think you can find arrowroot cookies for grownups in some health food stores, or you could just eat the baby ones.
from guavagrrrl :
ten points to you for correctly stating the aim of colleges everywhere! twelve points for writing poetry and fifteen for makign it worth reading. namaste
