Yo. Of course I want you to keep reading! This diary is up and running... sort of. The entries are showing up now, which is a considerable improvement. It would help if I could read HTML with a bit more proficiency. Pfft. The other diary is underthesink and as of yet contains nothing, but does have a pretty layout... of a sink. haha. Another year and I progress from Lynchburg to Roanoke... and I'll be ALMOST out of the hell that is Virginia.

many thanks for your welcome, & for the nabokov ring. didn't read "Lolita" until i was almost 40; & still have not "recovered" from Jeremy Irons' portrayal of HH... i came first <at random, in the library stacks> to "King, Queen, Knave" & "Ada", much earlier, in my 20s. these each left quite a deep mark. have yet to read so much of his work but had the good fortune to happen across some of his essays along the way, & some great commentaries on his life & work, both "critical" & sheerly celebratory. Thanks for the welcome and welcome to the Catherine Zeta-Jones ring. Here's how you add images to your diaryrings: first find a place to host the images if you use aol you ca just use your FTP space. Don't host them on your gold membership or anything if your a gold member because D-land doesn't allow images from gold memberships to be used in diaryrings. After you do this you go to the area where you can edit your diary's html snippt. Leave all the stuff at the top alone like Cellspacing and font face and all that jazz unless you want to change them. Add in the location of your image like so: <img src="http://www.whereyourimageis.com/image.jpg" HEIGHT= insert the height WIDTH=insert the width></br> Then you can enter the words you want into the little spaces for next and previous and whatever. I hope that answers your question. If you need any more help just drop me a note or email me or something.

Hey darlin. I just wanted to say hi and tell you that things around you will change for the better, but at the same time they will always stay the same. I'm sure you already know this though. People around you don't always matter. Whats inside you does. Listen to yourself and continue writing in your diary. You will eventually learn to balance everything in you wether it makes sence or not. But finding that balance within yourself can enlighten your spirit, and keep an inner smile in your life. And having that one other person to complete you, well, inner balance makes more of a patient person. Something tells me you will understand this much more than I am right now. But I do that a lot.

I think how it works, is that marriage comes around when "Dick" would rather be with "Jane",than without Jane(i.e. alone). I don't think this is what I'm planning to do, I don't even have a Jane at this point, but I think this is eventually what will happen. It's not necessarily a bad thing. It's just at this point, 25, you want to stop screwing around, and get on with what your peers are doing..raising a family, paying a mortgage. It's the nature of things...

Theres not a lot I can say, but I completely understand how you feel. Don't give up on yourself, you are worth a lot, you just aren't seeing that yet, and things will get better w/ yourself as you learn more about yourself. You'll never stop learning, but you will start to feel better. It just takes a lot of time, keep your patients w/ yourself.

Actually she doesn't suck(literally & figuratively).In fact, she's the greatest woman I have ever met. Her only problem is that she's naive and oblivious to the infinite tortures you can inflict upon people who still care about you; i.e. rambling on for an hour about how awesome, how you have never been happier, with your new boyfriend to your ex.
