clicked on your banner, and found you. love your username and layout they are so lush!!!! the entry "hating me" is stuff that i can relate to. not that i feel that way now, but i have been through it in the past. my arms are covered in scars, and i have battled with bulimia - although you wouldnt believe it if you read my diary. its true though. and everything that happened has made me the person i am today. i'm not strong but i'm stronger than i was. i am going to keep an eye on you by adding you to my faves. keep your chin up, and remeber everything happens for a reason. things wont always be like this, and you are never alone. **hugz**

i think you as a sociologist will appreciate my view that the ideas about age are socially constructed. i dont think you should worry about age at all. if you are interested in a man in his 40's, go for it!! the only thing that sometimes holds me back from dating much older men is that i do someday want a child, and it kinda breaks my heart to think about my child's father dying when they are still young.
from straysparrow :
I don't think there's such thing as too old per se. Its not a number thing. Its a maturity thing. And you'll never know if you actually are mature enough unless you give it a shot. That being said, my brother dates women 10 years younger than him all of the time, and he'll never find his dream girl in that age group because they can't realate to each other, no matter how mature they are. I don't know what that means... I still say give it a try and see how it goes. Ciao. Sparrow.
from madam-rose :

Very sorry to hear about your grandmother. My grandmother died a year ago on Dec. 16th. It's weird to not have her around anymore. Hugs, Dani.

thanx for the note. You say you are starting a thesis and trying to recover? You might as well hold off on the recovery till after the thesis is finished! :)

from santoshchase :
It is quite possibly super lame of me to have read your entry on "Karl" and actually get worried about you and Karl when I read he's slated to be married. I was thinking "Karl.... I know a Karl. I'll bet he has pretty bad handwriting, and if you can get past his womanizing, I'll bet he's real, real nice." And then, "Karl's getting married." Oh goodness. Married? Married? Then you pulled the old switcheroo... you weren't talking about a real, live Karl... You were talking about real, dead Karl. Mr. Marx has some pretty good things to say. Thanks for the suggestion on the thesis. I suggest, if you are ever looking for Marx with a sense of humor, to look into Vonnegut if you haven't already. It is such a cliche to suggest reading him, but what the hell. Very best, and stay away from the married men.
from chordchild :
just wanted to let you know about the new forum I started at caged-freed.diaryland.com ... anyone can write an entry, so check it out, ok? take care.
from mizjezebel :
If you need anyone to vent to about thesis proposals...I know EXACTLY what yer goin' through. My dissertation is a grounded theory study too, BTW. A feminist, qualitative, phenomenological grounded theory study.
from chordchild :
hi, again. I just wanted to thank you for joining the pro-recovery diaryring. it always sparks my heart a bit to find someone else holding that perspective. oh, and congratulations on/ good luck with your progress. here's hoping it brings you quickly to some peace.
from chordchild :
hi- I would be the girl behind nourish. I just wanted to say thanks so much for your support, and to let you know that (oddly enough) I stumbled across *your* diary last night and bookmarked it for closer inspection. craziness. anyway, thanks again for the encouragement. take care!
from tele--vision :
i used to be just as anal as you seem to be about punctuation and whathaveyou, and then i looked at other people's work. believe me, there are probably so many thousands of errors in their stuff that any tiny comma would be easily overshadowed... to change the subject, i have had no problems with eastlink in at least six months...
from asteroidbelt :
i hope you listen to loretta lynn.
from the-magus :
I can't seem to access anyone's guestbooks (re: the recent d-land news, I guess...). Are you with evil Eastlink? Because they are evil. Sure you'll get internet, but it'll take you three years and they'll have to disconnect your phone or something to do it. Evil. I know from bitter, bitter experience. Ahem. Re, the modem quandry: there are two possibilities to fix this: one is to install an appropriate port into your computer, one with a cable-thingie, the other way is to find an adapter...they have them that route a cable-cord through a phone-like-cord-thingy. I -think- it's an "ethernet" thing. I actually have no idea how it works, or why, but your internet provider should have the converty thing. As you can tell by my technobabble, I am a computer genius. It took me three tries to spell 'genius.' I am so very, very tired.
from violetwoman :
Hiya Bunnyhug-re your quandary.....don't take responsibility for her emotions, nasty or otherwise. Tell her in no uncertain terms that unless she treats and speaks to with respect there will be no further communication. Regarding the furniture, be honest and say that after her unpleasantness you thought the deal was off, so sorry, case closed. Don't get drawn into any drama if she objects, this is HER STUFF, not yours. Have the confidence to end the conversation if she is verbally abusive to you. Personally I have no time for anything like that in my life, I may have screwy friends who mess up and occasionally let me down or annoy me, but all of them speak to me with respect and vice versa. And I expect the same from coworkers, acquaintances, etc. You sound like a nice person and deserve better. I don't know what she is truly like, but if she is a good person too, then things can be worked out, I would think. Good luck!
from the-magus :
Ah ha! I was all detective-y and found this site! Now I have to mentally change your name from potatofucker to bunnyhug, right? Or have I got the wrong diary? I have too much spare time, too much coffee, and too much geekiness. I hope I wasn't supposed to see this before it was ready. I like it.
from skypie :
