from chaosdaily :
seems like mothers have a way of doing that...
from chaosdaily :
its always confusing. see what your current boss says about your redundancy, and then decide if you really want to leave a job you love... do you think you will be enjoying the new one??
from chaosdaily :
hooray!! congrats!
from boxx9000 :
Soccer Mom! (mum) I remember those days! My son (and daughter) played soccer from pre-school thru High School. ENJOY! It all goes by so fast and they grow up. I am proud of you for sticking to your diet, Today I will go walking. (maybe even TENNIS!)
from boxx9000 :
I wish you lived closer because *I* would go walking with you everday!
from boxx9000 :
Happy Happy Mom's Day

Just randomly found your diary, wanted to say I love your template! And WTG on your accomplishments! That is awesome! ♥

awww we all missed you, but sometimes we need time off the puter...
from mkia :
20 APR 2005: Hi! :) Got your note. I think it's because you're attempting to read my "update" just as I'm deleting them. I'm having problems with my new coding and can't seem to figure out where it is without publishing it live. If it's not taken care of by tomorrow nite, drop me another line, will you? Thanks! :D ~Missy~
from chaosdaily :
my dad didnt teach me to change a tire, it was a requirement for passing drivers ed, and thats where i learned it. im sure glad they made us learn, it came in handy several times!
from chaosdaily :
oh i agree with you totally.... its not how people look, but what they are like inside, like you said, their soul. its interesting to meet people you know from online, because you can feel very strongly about them, and their appearance doesnt change the person they are.... at least not for me.
from boxx9000 :
I've met some of the nicest people at Diary Land. It still amazes me how nice people can be (that I have never met in person) I think we all know each other BETTER than our everday friends and family because we tell each other everything. PEN PALS? I hope to meet you one day. I will get back to NZ someday. ......and I will *speed walk* with you and *I* will be the one to get tired! (hehehe)
from boxx9000 :
HI! I just wanted to stop by and say *hi*.
from boxx9000 :
HI! I am alive and well. I do NOT know WHY my diary is locked. I must have messed up my diary settings. I am just fine. I am sorry I worried everyone. I am enjoying my vacation. The weather is absolutely beautiful. ~Love, BoXx
from poolagirl :
Oh, yeah...........I got one of those comments too. The person took huge issue with me - and because of my site meter, I am able to tell that this person still reads my diary - every single day. I don't get it. I also don't know who it is. GRRRRRRRRRRR!
from chaosdaily :
it is hard to find friends especially when you arent doing the social thing every few nights. i know just what you mean.... but im glad you found someone! i hope she will develop into someone you can trust... and who wont color her hair the same as yours haha
from chaosdaily :
you havent had chocolate since january 11th???? gee i havent had any since 11 last night...... lol ... you poor thing! *hugs*
from poolagirl :
Diaryland has been kicked in the pants for the last few days. You should be able to update now.
from mkia :
17-Mar-05: Okay, so you may be on to something. Start thinking positive, including seeing that "new" you coming out. Kicking yourself is *not* allowed unless, of course, you are doing shadow boxing and then, kick on, girlie! Introspection is good, but keep in mind too much is keeping you from getting out there and making a difference. You're keeping up with the exercise, water and food, right? ;-) I'm rooting for you because I just know you'll be able to do this!
from boxx9000 :
Sometimes i don't tell my best friend EVERYTHING because i am scared of becoming a toxic friend. I am trying to NOT be negative, but I know I am a lot of the time. I'd like to see what you look like! I love being able to put a face with the diary. I'll try to post a new pic of me with my new haircut real soon.
from fatqueen :
Hang in there -- it IS stressful. Be patient. I promise you will see results before you even know it. Think of how your feet love you for your NEW shoes... imagine how your body feels because of the changes you're making daily!
from mkia :
14-MAR-05: I hear you. Take a deep breath and focus on something other than that weigh in. You're being way too hard on yourself. Relax. Remember, zen can do wonders beyond diet and exercise, so go be happy and THINK yourself thin. :) {{{ HUGS }}}
from mkia :
13 Mar. '05: Like your friend, BLONDE, my friend weighs a lot less than I do and she has less to lose as well. But here's the funny thing. I've kept up with my exercise (well, not lately and I'm paying for it too) and sticking to the diet and I've leaped well ahead of her. Think of the turtle and the hare. Just keep at it and don't give up (not even for a "nap") and you'll come out ahead. I'm here rooting for you! Hope you have a good week! (PS: Thanks for the public mention of et moi! /blush) ~Missy
from mkia :
Hope all is going well for you and you're just trying to adjust to the changes. Haven't heard from you in a bit and wanted to make sure you were doing okay and to know that you are missed here in D/L!
from fatqueen :
Hang in there! It's just for a bit longer... sorry to hear about all the technical problems. Yikes!! It's stressing, I know, but look how much you'll appreciate the 20 hours again -- take the extra $$ and do something nice for YOURself :)
from mkia :
{{{ HUGS }}} Oh do I know how these things can pile up all of a sudden out of nowhere and boy, does it suck! Not to sound too redundant, but hang in there. I won't go as far to say it can't get any worse (just said that with the mortgage fiasco I went through and now the OTHER mortgage company just called for the SAME reason!) but from what you wrote, I see some stamina in you and the ability to see the upside of things, such as your admiration for the woman whose held that job for 10 years without going nuts! Those are great qualities and something you don't see in people a lot these days, so be proud of owning that! :)
from fatqueen :
Yeah, what MKIA said! I use Fitday.com everyday to track foods and find what combinations work for me. It keeps me honest, and gives me a tracking record to find what works in helping to keep my sugar levels down. [combinations of foods.] Good for you on the physical exercise - it will pay off, I promise. Are you taking in a great deal of sodium/salt? I'm wondering if that's why the THIRD week, there might be water retention?? [something to think about.] Thanks for all your comments, I do appreciate hearing from you!
from mkia :
Keeping a food diary is probably the best solution. Try FitDay.com. It's free and it helps break down how much fat, protien and carbs you're taking in throughout the day. Whittle down the carbs if you can, especially processed grains. Something I learned is that when you cook carrots and corn, it increases the sugars in the food. My doctor has me limit my cooked intake of these foods. Steaming veggies is better than stir-fry and eating them w/out fats (butter, mayo, etc.) is ideal. Tons of water helps, too. Again, I think you're doing enough exercise that you're building muscle in place of the fat you're burning in the process and that's more weight, so just keep on exercising ... and drinking lots of water. Keep the faith! You're doing all the right things.
from mkia :
Hi back! Sounds like you had a great weekend and one that will do wonders for you with all the exercise you got!
from diva-on-a :
Hey :) I just got done reading all the entries I've missed during my time off (ha!) and got to say... I am so proud of you! YOU should be proud of you! You're doing an awesome job, and keeping your chin up. That's the best anyone can do :)
from grammienell :
Hi Girlfriend - I went to KS to see my Mom for three weeks and haven't gotten back in the swing of writing in my diary, so trying to catch up. Your entries sound a lot like me. But, I know you are much younger. Tell me more about yourself. I take it you live in New Zealand. That is so neat. I once knew a girl from there - I have forgotten where she lived exactly. She was a Mari. We are Jehovah's Witnesses and she was here in California for a convention and stayed with a friend of ours. I, too, am needing to loose weight but I haven't started a routine of any kind. My husband recently lost 40 pounds on Atkins but it didn't work for me. Probably because of high blood pressure medicine and my hormone medicine and thyroid medicine, as well. so, I quit that diet and have gained since. I am at my all time most gain and I really hate myself. So, I find you very encouraging, as I said before. You keep up the good work and the weight will come off. If your are including exercise it will also tone you up as you loose but you probably won't loose as fast because you are making muscle as you go. This is a good thing - so keep it up. When the weight does come off, you will look great. Best wishes to you. I will stay tuned!
from mkia :
Congratulations! Keep on it, you're doing just fine!
from fatqueen :
Wooooooo Hoooooooooooo! You got your Bookmark? Yessssssss... you GO girl!! Congrats -- thanks for sharing :)
from poolagirl :
I really want to go back to New Zealand too. The day we stopped in Hamilton to replace the camera, it was so rainy and windy we could barely see the road - and that made driving on the other side of the road even weirder. You've been to Disneyland SEVEN times? YOWZA! I guess I'll just have to take you for a nice sailing trip on a tallship too.
from poolagirl :
A gang of hoodlums stole my camera right out of the campervan while we were off buying groceries somewhere on the north island. I bought a new one in Hamilton. Yes! I have been there! Now, it's your turn to come to San Diego. Are you up for a trip? It's only FOURTEEN hours non-stop on the plane. Think of the adventure! I'll even take you to Disneyland.
from poolagirl :
Congratulations! Keep up the good work! I really like your diary. Nice template (hee hee). You may have already told me (short term memory loss due to lack of coffee), but where do you live in NZ? I was there in 1994 and spent oodles of time sputtering around in a campervan. We spent more time on the south island. There in the dead of winter - snow coming down like crazy in Invercargill, etc. I had a really good time and would love to go back.
from mkia :
It's terribly disappointing when we have these moments, isn't it? I'd like to encourage you to let your thoughts flow, whether here in your online diary or in a journal of sorts. It may help you to better understand what you're facing -- obstacles and all. If it's here, you may get some reflection from others that could help you make sense of these changes and feel more comfortable with them. I know it's exceptionally disappointing when you're trying so hard and are being so good but have little to "show" for it. Would adjusting the times you eat and the types of food you eat help? For instance, carrots when cooked are high in sugar and I know that if I eat several times a day in balanced amounts, I tend to do better than three sit-downs. You're doing a lot in exercise, so you'll be building more muscle. Are you feeling like you're toning? Keep reflecting and examine all the angles. You'll see your way past this slump, just hang in there! ~ Missy ~ 25 Feb 2005

Everyone has DAYS when they don't know what to say. It's okay... just HANG in there -- I promise, it will get BETTER!!
from swirl-girl :
You are doing GREAT! Everyone has down days (lord knows I have a million of them). Look at all the positive changes you've made in your life and give yourself a nice pat on the back!
from fatqueen :
I'm glad things got sorted out! We all need support. Congrats on the compliments 'slimmer face/belly' -- YIPPEE!! I'm glad you had a good day ;)
from marilynnv :
I'm slowly trying to get back on track but I would love to be a part of the new and improved support group. :)

WHY can't we wear G-Strings? I do. I just don't announce it to the nations. Oh wait. I just did. Never mind!
from j-a-y-c-e-e :
Well he is a honey - he looks scruffy in that picture though, it was about 10pm and we'd just finished an hour-long play that ran for 3 nights in a row, so we all liked tired and were wearing random clothes and such but usually he's cuter when his hair is done and such. *sighs dreamily* ... er, ANYWAY. I've asked him to do a bible study once, but I don't think that counts. He's TOO into the Christian-thing unfortunately, and doesn't want to be in a room with a girl on his own in case he becomes a stumbling block for the girl, or vice versa. Eh, religion sucks.
from jenne1017 :
Because they basically make people pay for their online site and online calculator and since people put up one for free, they lose business. Plus I think they have it copywritten or something. Who knows. They just ask people to
from skinnyblog :
Hi Chubbymum! Looks like you're doing great; keep up the awesome work! You are so right about how listening to the woes of others really helps to put your own in perspective. I'll be writing more often now that I'm into weightloss again and look forward to reading about your experiences. Feb 19/05
from fatqueen :
I soooooooooo owe you an e-mail. Sorry. It's hard to keep up w/Mom here this week! Glad tea w/friends lifted your spirits. What is 'V'? I like Vodka. It usually LIFTS my spirits... and my skirts. lol.
from marilynnv :
I am so glad to hear that someone else feels that way. I have been a grumpy bitch for two days and I don't know why. I can't put my finger on what is bugging me. I think the exhaustion and lack of sleep is catching up with me. Let's hope we can shake this bad attitude!
from fatqueen :
WOW! You really WERE busy today... good for you on the STUMP class. [how funny of a name is that?] Thanks for the kind words you left me... I do appreciate them :)
from fatqueen :
I don't care WHAT the WW scale says, I for one, am PROUD of you and I agree w/Blonde! For me, it has simply been 'revamping' what I eat. When I think I get the 'loss-thing' figured out, my body has gotten accustomed and I need to change it up. You WILL get your star! Just thinking about what you put in your mouth makes a difference. Water! Drink yer WATER!!
from mkia :
What worked for me was to drink tons of water and eat a lot of fish and chicken. I'd put tuna without anything on it (or, if it was just too dry, I'd mix non-fat sour cream in it which is far better than any kind of mayo) on a huge bed of lettuce (romaine is better than iceberg) and use either a touch of red wine vinegar dressing or a tablespoon or so of barbeque sauce. Lettuce is a free food and a great filler without loading you up on carbs (which make you hungry quicker). Something to consider, you're building muscles and replacing the fat with them and those weigh more. Maybe you should start measuring yourself and focus more on the loss you see there rather than the loss on the scales. Just a thought. Hang in there!
from wifemotherme :
Thank you so much for the note about my hair cut. I needed that, since I truly hate it and at this point I dont think I will ever get use to it. Anyway WTG on your loss. Your doign great! I bought the ponts book from ebay and I think I will get started with WW myself here very soon. I have gained about 8lbs since I quit work.
from mkia :
12-02-05: Been away for a bit and just now caught up with your diary. Congrats on your loss! How wonderful for you! Just stay focused on that goal and don't get caught up in the worry. As long as you're dedicated and can see this through to the end (and then by changing your behavior after you're all skinny), you'll be just fine! Oh -- and the lingerie? Gotta read my latest entry! I SO hear you!
from southern-mom :
Hi! Bet you thought I never read your journal!! Well, I do, and I now I know where you are... I noticed you hadn't posted lately, so I was wondering what whas going on with you... Girl, you are doing great on your weight loss!! Keep up the great work!!! I also understand about the bra and undies thing. Ugh... I hate not being able to find something nice in my size... But on day in the very near future, we will be able to find our sizes!! Keep on going girl!!! You can do it!! ~southern-mom aka WDE
from fatqueen :
Congrats on the loss! Sometimes, I think it's the best when you don't expect it ;) Revel in it, enjoy it, you deserve it and more!!
from j-a-y-c-e-e :
Hey congrats on the lost!! You weren't expecting that, huh! I have full confidence you'll lose 6 kilos by the 22nd! I plan on shedding 12lb before the end of this month, I fear this is unrealistic, but hey, we can both do it together! Congrats! =D
from kiwifluff :
WOOHOO on the loss my friend. Youa re going so great, and you are inspiring me to kick myself in the pants and join you on this downwards trend. Can't wait till you come to Wellington!!
from heraj :
Hey, I've been reading your journal for a few weeks! I'll keep an eye out for you on Dream home heheh :) I was pleased to see your friends family win!!! How very exciting! Where in NZ are you? I live in Auckland, with my hubby and we have 2 gorgeous daughters. Hope you are well today.
from mkia :
See, here's the thing, you have to avoid "looking" at yourself right now. The more you can think (and therefore feel) the person you want to be, the more apt you are to becoming that person. Rid yourself of those negative feelings and focus on what you WANT. I've heard from so many people that their success has more to do with envisioning (and pretending to be) what they want to be and *magically* they become that person. Stop kicking yourself! I know it's tough, especially when you can't see the progress, but you're doing great! Just slip on the blindfold, grit your teeth and you'll make it through these few bumps.
from j-a-y-c-e-e :
Well the thing is I've got family that live out there - so I'll be with *some* family. They're my aunt and uncle. Oh and - I've only had the diary for 3 weeks so you're not missing out on much by only reading for 2 weeks! ;)
from chaosdaily :
you arent alone, there are lots of us out here just like you. hang in there, you wont get anywhere by quitting.
from j-a-y-c-e-e :
September, and I CANNOT wait!! I'm going to be a nanny/au pair. Where abouts do you live, then? I'm gonna be staying in a place called Waiku(i think thats how you spell it) near auckland
from fatqueen :
It's hard to get out there some times when we feel self conscious. DO IT FOR YOU. They're going to talk about you behind your back anyway -- think about it being how FABULOUS you look because you are on your way to your goal! Besides, if you're meeting new people -- you may just make 'healthier' FRIENDS! Now. GO get your 'groove' on!!
from fatqueen :
Just hang in there and keep MOVING. Do what you can to boost your metabolism! Hey -- why DON'T you try tap? I mean, if I can, so can you. And you've done it before... I mean come on! I'm starting from scratch and I wanna keep doin' it. I really love it. There's a couple videos out there and I wanna get one! Besides, there's another production coming up this Summer and I wanna be tapping in the FRONT row!! YIPPEE! You won cash at the races... how wonderful. ;)
from j-a-y-c-e-e :
I'm the same hehe - even though I don't post everyday I still check for notes and check to see if anyone else has updated, hehe. It keeps me going as well though - I hate being alone in this, and reading other peoples diaries and how other people are doing keeps me sane and able!
from chaosdaily :
yea.... diaryland is pretty addicting, but at least its low-calorie!
from mkia :
Love that story about Pink Shorts! What an incredible day you've had. I know that freaky feeling you got when you found your Mom and son in that situation. My son had pulled himself up by hanging onto a glass table that toppled over and shattered all around him. My throat hurt so bad for hours after which made sense given I must have swallowed my heart about seventeen times throughout that ordeal. But my, your devotion to keep on going and lose the weight is inspiring! You did so well today! You go, girl! ~Missy~
from fatqueen :
Thanks for the story of "The Pink Shorts"... Yep. Just call me 'piss eyes'. I'm glad that your son is okay. I'm like that too -- I'm good in a crisis, but afterwards -- I like totally LOSE it and cry!! Just keep going, girl... don't forget the story. There ARE those who believe in YOU!
from boxx9000 :
When my son was about 2 he decided he needed something off the top of my tall oak dresser. He got the idea to pull out the drawers and climb up it like a ladder. About half way up, the dresser tipped over on him. LUCKILY kids are like rubber or something and he didn't get hurt. FREAKED me out tho. Sorry about your little guy. I know how scary that was.
from j-a-y-c-e-e :
Glad to hear your little one is OK!
from chaosdaily :
wow scary!! wait till they start driving....
from poolagirl :
YAY! I went to New Zealand and spent 18 days touring around the islands in a campervan. You are on the North Island, huh? Very nice! I want to go back someday. I think it is the most beautiful place on earth.
from dietingjenn :
Glad to hear you are NOT giving up. I am sticking with WW. I mean, it could just be WHAT you were eating and not how much. Are you doing Flex Points? If not I recommend them. Changing the points daily keeps your metabolism in check. Before I read your inspiring message, I re-updated. Seems liek great minds really DO think alike! :)
from boxx9000 :
Exercise has always worked better for me than dieting. I used to be able to eat anything I wanted as long as I was playing a sport daily. Next week will be better, don't get discouraged. It could be water retention or something. Have you cut back on salty/high sodium foods? Lots of water is good. I'm proud of you. I will weigh myself every week when you do, ok?
from chaosdaily :
dont give up, the scales go up and down. if you stick to the diet, it will work eventually! patience....
from mkia :
Me again. Glad you're not giving up and you just may find that her plan works. It's been working for me. Try cutting down the salt (water retention) and try for higher protein in your diet. It not only helps stave off any sugar cravings and the quick burnout when high in carbs, but it helps retain muscle while burning fat. Remember, you're building muscle while burning fat and muscle weighs more. Maybe you should consider measuring yourself and tracking that on a weekly basis. More than anything, ask yourself... how do you FEEL? Keep that positive attitude and do your soul searching. I'm sure you'll get this sorted out soon! {{{{ Hugs }}}} ~Missy~
from mkia :
Ah, my dear, don't be so hard on yourself! You're doing so well, walking and hanging in there with your points. What if you set up some sort of non-food reward that's small but a good incentive? If you go all week and make all of your goals (i.e. exercising for x amount of time/days, staying w/in your points, etc.), you get something like, oh, I don't know, a charm for a bracelet or a magazine, etc. Maybe with that, you can see that you're doing just fine. Hang in there! ~Missy~
from mkia :
MIL's can be troublesome, can't they? Glad you were able to feel comfortable ranting and raving here, you needed an outlet, that's for certain. And if your diet went to hell in a handbasket for the night, so what? The stress alone is probably doing more damage than a few extras, you know? So keep your chin up (and know that it's not as big as it used to be), mentally flip the bat off and move on! Yee haw! :D ~Missy~
from sunnflower :
That stuff would have stressed me out too - especially obnoxious is the part where she said she was glad you were losing weight because she was so worried about you. Fake concern is the worst. That would have made me start stuffing food into my mouth immediately. Thanks for your very nice comment on my diary by the way! Hugs. :)
from boxx9000 :
Go visit my buddy %%diary-goingloopy%%.
from boxx9000 :
I'm TRYING to eat healthier (not so much bread and sugars) and WALK. I took my daughter's dog for a walk around the block. It's a lrge block. It's a start. One foot in front of the other. One day at a time. I want to lose 30 pounds. I weigh MORE now then I did when I was 10 months preganant. YIKES!!
from boxx9000 :
My inlaws don't even speak to me at all. I have no idea why they hate me. (sigh) relationships are so difficult. Your husband seems like a nice guy, tho. The mistakes my parents made raising all 6 of us I try not to repeat with my own 2 kids. We do the best we can with what we know. The rest requires therapy. (hehehehehe)
from chaosdaily :
gee maybe its a good thing you dont see her often!
from dietingjenn :
I don't know all about you (but now that I added you to my BL I will!) but I know I for one take being overweight like having a disease. Alcoholics *have* to think about everything they drink, you know? It sucks to *have* to do it, but I realized I wouldn't really lose and stick to it if I didn't accept it. Make sense? But, I still bitch about it ;)
from poolagirl :
Well, let's just make it know right here and right now that I truly LOVE reading your diary! So there! I find your journey fascinating. Keep going!
from boxx9000 :
I think just about ALL women have problems with diet and body image. My daughter and I are starting a diet and walking together. The key for me is either a buddy of a class that I pay for (thus I attend) I've taken every sport at the university level. But, it has to be FUN for me or I WON"T DO IT. (I'm just like my kindergartners) One foot in front of the other. One day at a time. You can do it! I'm going to make more of an effort to get healthy. We can do it together. My biggest weakness is BREAD. I love bread. (sigh)
from mkia :
If you need a WW fix, try their online site. Even though a good portion is for their paying members, they still have a lot of things there for visitors too! And I hear there are a variety of sites out there that focus on the WW diets, like Dotti's. Everything you wrote about made sense and please, don't worry about what you do and don't know, just keep expanding your mind and stay on track! You're doing great! (And you don't HAVE to have a buddy to go to kickboxing, right? :::nudge, nudge:::) ~Missy~
from fatqueen :
Yep -- Regular because of HEALTHY eating habits. OMGoodness YES! You'll get a routine. I agree, it's difficult when you have your heart set on doing it -- change it up -- do something for you. Special that you wouldn't normally do... pedicure, facial. Even home versions... so you don't miss that 'routine' time! It's still about YOU!!
from mkia :
[1/26/05] Woo hoo! Congratulations on your success! Keep up the great work!
from boxx9000 :
HEY, that is FIVE more pounds than I lost. I am envious AND super proud of you. HOORAY. Keep up the good work. You are motivating me.
from swirl-girl :
Thanks for your note! I enjoy your diary as well. I put all my old entries into a private folder because there was some family stuff in there I was afraid might be read. If you send me your email address, I'll send you the password. Watch out, there's about 2 years worth of lunacy waiting for you to read!!
from fatqueen :
Sorry. I'm slow on the uptake -- CONGRATS on the loss! Yes... you have every reason to be proud!! I knew you could do it -- it's about patience. And that is ssssssssssooooooooo hard. Keep doing what you're doing. I'm reading, I don't always leave you a note, but I always click you a 'hug' or two :)
from poolagirl :
Congratulations! You go!
from grammienell :
Hi again, Chubbymum. Where do you live. I was so surprised to see your message. Thanks for writing. I wondered if anyone read my diary. It's fun to see what other people are thinking. I am proud of your consistant weight loss - you are doing good. and I know how hard it can be. I have lost and gained and lost and gained several times. Now, I am at my very largest. and I hate it! so you are indeed an inspiration. Keep it up and keep writing about it for us. I think I might check into WW because of you. Later.
from mkia :
[1/24/05]: Very funny entry about the thoughts on whether they rig the scales! Funnier since I've oft thought the same! How'd you do? I'm anxious to hear! Keep up the great work!
from poolagirl :
Thanks for making me a fave! You are just too sweet! I admire you and respect your writing very much too.
from mkia :
[1/23/05]: Your entire entry made perfect sense. Kudos to you for expanding your horizons, taking this all slowly and steady and for being honest with yourself. You'll be just fine!

Hey there! I found you via sunnflower, and I think you are amazing! I also like your template. I have the same one - and have done funky things to it too. Grand fun, eh?
from sunnflower :
I am glad you are enjoying your diary on Diaryland and I am glad you are writing here.
from sunnflower :
I know what you mean about loving spring and autumn. It all good!
from boxx9000 :
I've had my diary a little over a year and it is BETTER than therapy. I get better advice and support from my Diary Land Buddies.
from mkia :
1/20/05 (only because when I read through my notes, I have no clue as to when they were posted!): Thanks for commenting in my diary! I looked at the link you gave me and I do think that's the same philosophy my Mom was working on, but this was supposed to have been a program like the Atkin's diet, South Beach, etc. So yeah, same principle. Thanks for sharing and stopping by! :) - Missy

Not a Bitch -- OH no -- NOT a Bitch!!

You sound like you're doing great! The scale is only one method of checking your progress. It sounds like you've really enjoyed your activity this week. That's wonderful :) This is a lifestyle change, not a diet. It's about getting rid of the old habits, and replacing them with healthier ones. You're in the process of doing that! Besides that, your period will cause the scale to lie. I bet next week you have a fantastic loss!
from fatqueen :
HEY! Do I hear a defeatest attitude? It's not a race -- it's not a challenge. STOP the comparison!! The weight didn't happen over-night and it's not going away over-night. Besides, it's a PROVEN FACT those who will lose fast because it's either water-weight OR will gain it back quickly! Slow and steady... remember? Turtle/Hare?? Yeah. It's a Journey... it's okay that it's slow -- savor it, cause you don't want to DO it again, right? Right?? WE believe in you -- besides, muscle WEIGHS more than fat, my guess, with the walking/moving you've been doing, you're building muscle. That would explain some of it! But that's good -- muscle also BURNS fat faster. Trust me -- stay faithful to your program... ;)

You hang in there! Many of us need to be doing the same thing - but not all of us are! You are a shining example for us! I will be checking in on you from time to time. I am new to Diaryland, myself, and reading some of the diary's is very insighful. I chose yours because of the name. One day you will change it to skinnymum! Won't that be great! Don't give up. Dieting has it's losses and it's plateau's and you can be sure after awhile, you will loose more. Good luck and keep up the good work!
from boxx9000 :
1.65 meters converts to 5 feet 5 inches. That's a whole 3 inches taller than me (envy)
from boxx9000 :
Thanks for ALL your notes. Yes, I am entering a new phase of my life. I will be turning 49 in less than a month. The last 30 years are to be forgotten. I don't think that is possible, but I am going to try and move on the best that I can.
from boxx9000 :
I've been reading. I left some hugs, too. I was surprised to see your weight in kilos and not STONES. I thought Kiwis used the stone measurement? How tall are you?
from fatqueen :
Thanks for reading and leaving me a 'comment'. (It just took me a while to find it!) I've added you and will be back, fer sure. Keep going -- keep the momentum going and we can encourage each other!!
from boxx9000 :
Kick boXxing sounds awesome. I could use a good physical outlet to reduce my pent up anger!!!!
from sunnflower :
Oh, I thought mince was fruit - like a mince pie! I am enjoying your diary.
from sunnflower :
I'm reading your daily menu and I am fascinated by the food there - especially nashi and mince. What are they?
from wifemotherme :
Well, I'll be! Those two look so much alike I thought it was the same baby, just pictures of him as he was getting older. I dont know how in the world I knew the little girl was you though - how strange. Well your just as adorbale as they are!
from wifemotherme :
I cant wait to watch you shine!!! You really inspire me to try harder. Cute baby on the layout btw, is he yours?
from boxx9000 :
My sister is married to a kiwi. I lived in NZ in 1977 and 1978. I would guess things have changed a bit, but I would LOVE to visit again.
from sunnflower :
Hi from Suburban Island. How inspiring your diary is to me. I need to get rid of a few pounds too. Hang in there and thanks for adding my diary to your Diaryland favorites list.
