so about your entry re: whether to grad on time and what to do after grad.... let me just say that if i could do undergrad over, i would get a practical degree. i majored in sociology and had the hardest time finding a job. i don't regret my degree, but i think i should have double majored or something... ex. sociology plus accounting. so maybe you could do a second major (in case the writing falls through or in case you need money while working on your first book, etc). good luck! :)

RE: The Liz Phair Note, (and sorry it took me so long to get back to you.) Yes, I do realize that I use songs from today, as well as movies from today (her favorite movie is Monsters INC). In our little group, we tried to go about (at least I tried) keeping things within the years, however, it became very complicated to look everything up, and once in a while we�d run into songs that would work really well for our characters, so we just said forget it. [If you read Jayson (Hailey�s �fianc�)�s diary (that writer is also a big culprit of breaking this taboo), there have been a few Maroon 5 songs that were absolutely PERFECT for the given Jayson/Hailey situation.] All in all, to answer your question, yes, I know we�re not necessarily consistent in our time-line, but there are some things that are right - for example, Harry Potter and the Philosopher�s Stong was released 26 June 1997 - that day (In Diaryland), Hailey saw a news story about the book, and she and Jayson immediately bought a copy and sent it to Harry :) I love (and really appreciate) that you read Hailey�s diary, and I greatly thank you for your comment! NEVER freak about not getting your period. I lost it for a million yrs. from having weird eating patterns. Everything screws it up, then you panic and get stressed out take pregnancy tests and become a mess-and in the end nothing was wrong at all! So save yourself and don't think twice about it! :)

As a newly graduated college student, I could really relate to your diary. As for the drunken college sex, I feel as though I missed out (having never technically experienced it). Then again, my roommate often shamelessly engaged in her own sex-capades while I was in the room. So I guess I can live vicariously through her. As cute as Boy B was, You're probably better off HOPING you never see him again. Running into her one night stands always seemed to bite her in the ass.
