i noticed that you linked one of my entries as a favorite entry. so i checked it out, and it was not what i thought it was. see, i thought it would be the one about gasping for air after being dumped, but it's the one about clarity, about new attention to detail. i find that odd. of course, i don't list many favorite entries. it takes a lot to move me. i should probably go back and see where i have entries prompted by someone else's diary, and link to those, because obviously they meant something.

i read that one too, and had the same thought then but didn't think to share it. my mother's mellowed out a LOT in the past few years.. but in some ways that makes it even harder. there's no proof to convince me that i didn't just blow it all out of proportion. my relationship with her is something that, oddly enough, i've never talked about with anyone.. not even lush. i just don't know how to put those feelings into words. you're doing a very good job of it, though...and you've given me a lot to think about without even trying. :) so.. thanks!

wow...you know, i think we had very similar childhoods with very similar effects. i started reading a book about relationships, once, which started to explain why i, as a shy "people pleaser" tend to gravitate toward very distant, selfish people... and i put it down, saying "that's NOT what's going on." thinking back, that IS what was (and is?) going on, but i don't like to be put in boxes and didn't want to hear that. i think you're very brave for digging into your life like that, and i wish you luck!! (and... shame on mothers who can't keep their neuroses to themselves!)

Thanks for adding my diary to your list. I don't know if it is a tracker. I have a site meter that sometimes shows where readers come from, and sometimes doesn't. I use that and the stats thingie on dland. Sometimes I find diaries I like that way. Sometimes I shudder a little at what I find. I feel like a stalker or something now. Don't worry, I'm not really. Though I probably leave too many notes on my favs. diaries some times, the notes are always true. I always read every favorite I have on my profile. Sorry if I freaked you out. I am harmless. :D
