from candoor :
It's been a year.
from secret-motel :
Yes, still here. More or less. In and out. Not writing much, here or anywhere, anymore. But still checking in.
from erases :
You forgot to pay the Ferryman. What is your email?
from candoor :
stumbled in for a moment, still shivering from the cold, still blown away by your writing, still not doing what i'm told, still wondering if you're living, still in the heart of the night, still taking less than the giving, still hoping that you are alright...
from erases :
Where are you, little ghost?
from nutmegger :
Happy New Year. Good resolution!
from the-grey-one :
haha, thank ya kindly! and may i just say, The Tree...dang girl. dang.
from the-grey-one :
oh man, you're poetry is just mind-blowingly awesome!
from secret-motel :
You, you, you!
from the-grey-one :
run.
from famelicose :
Good luck.
from the-grey-one :
oh man your entries are ridiculously interesting and wonderfully worded!
from cdstacks :
my-grains no more?... meanwhile, i am seldom here, checking in with one of many diary names, aka candora, candoor, and at least a dozen others... found you joined a d-land ring i know but almost forgot about... welcome and all that fanfare, hope all is well in your world :)
from erases :
allo.
from secret-motel :
Thank you for the kind words. They are much appreciated.
from secret-motel :
Wishing comfort and peace for your great grandmother and sending you many hugs for staying by her side.
from corposant :
"friends" --a perfect little lullaby, or jump-rope song. I memorized it and will sing it to myself at odd moments.
from notlikeyoudo :
True dat! And I know he meant no harm with his joke, but I guess I expected him to be a bit quicker on the uptake.
from candoor :
out the blue i find an email from diaryland that tells me you've joined a ring i created here so many years ago that i all but forget it existed and that inspires my smile, so thank you much more than a few words can say... i like to remember most of the memories most of the time, when i have time, so i smile at the irony of the multiple meanings i find in your diary name here... and in what little time i have for reading (these last for and next few weks especially), i am enjoying reading your words... so thanks for being and for connecting, however much thought you may have put into it... and if you want to know or connect more, the ways are threaded through the many thousands of pages... i miss the babbling and rhymes diaryland once inspired... current daily blobs of words appear at blogspot e-the-real for the moment, out of habit as much as convenience... and now i return to packing in the physical world, for i move from one abode to another this weekend and sleep is a luxury i do not have time for this week... thanks for being, for reaching out, and for the words :)
from secret-motel :
I'm glad you're here.
from corposant :
I felt I needed to give you a shout of acknowledgement and gratitude across the wasteland.
from corposant :
Hello face! "jaws n jars n jars" is my current favorite.
from secret-motel :
I like that face. Is there any room in the 20th century for the likes of me? If not, come come come to the 21st century. We could use more light out here.
from omfggwtf :
it's a nice face! :)
from secret-motel :
No, I am afraid. It took me a long time to escape her spell. Vespertine. I am afraid but curious.
from secret-motel :
Yeah, I really fell for her when she was in the Sugarcubes and then again, more intensely, when Debut came out. I haven't listened to any of her recent stuff. But she continues to pop into my imagination now and then.
from erases :
you never know what kind of tricks i've got up my sleeve.
from minstrelite :
That's some of the best stuff I've ever read on DiaryLand. I improved my management skills to the tune of about twenty or thirty entries. You sounded so familiar to me, I could have sworn you were somebody I have known. But as it all accumulated, I realized your were you uniquely, whom nobody has probably ever really, truly known.
from erases :
be you. be yourself.
from secret-motel :
That's where breath beats the minutes down. A cool moment lost to the mirror. And midnight parking lots offer a safe place to shudder.
from erases :
what's your e-mail?
from glass-slide :
"Dreamers often lie." -William Shakespeare
from secret-motel :
A bouquet of psychic hearts for you and your grandmother. And little vials of moon dust.
from notlikeyoudo :
Hello. Sorry for the delayed response. Very, very delayed... *ahem* In regards to ignoring your friend's more-than-platonic feelings, I'm much the same way. If I ignore it then maybe they can get over it with little embarrassment. And if I see things beginning to get out of hand, I give them plenty of time and space to cool off. Sometimes it seems to work, and sometimes it clearly doesn't, but what can you do? It just makes me sad that there is always this distance between me and someone I'm fond of and respect. And it's frustrating when you have to be so careful with your words to avoid potential awkwardness when you want to be able to feel comfortable enough to share anything. Leaves one feeling a bit helpless. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed my musings and such. Obviously there's at least one matter you felt you could relate with. But I must ask, what is "plative"?
from offence :
I just saw your note! Don't check my notes very often. Thanks for dropping me a note. I checked out your diary. I enjoyed reading it. You're going on my buddy list. :)
from secret-motel :
I'm sorry for the losses in your family. Yes, you should make some personal time for the beach while you're here. The Pacific Ocean can be so comforting and refreshing when you find yourself down and tired.
from erases :
where you be?
from redsilk :
Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to drop me a note! I truly do appreciate it. I also appreciate - very much - your style of writing!! You have a true talent.
from secret-motel :
Yeah, I always enjoy my visits to Yoknapatawpha County. It's all dust motes, wisteria, and broken timepieces. And, hey! I hope you had a lovely birthday!
from spires :
i think an ending is better dreamed than experienced. happy 25th :)
from erases :
happy birthday dianna!
from wastecoat :
don't read, i'll feel too popular
from erases :
my name is daniel, and i like your words.
from erases :
haha.. well thank you, little one. and what might your name be?
from secret-motel :
I'm glad to have you along for the excavation. I like those pretty eyes, by the way.
from synchestra :
Hi! I am so pleased to know I'm not alone!
from erases :
i'm a kanye deep down at heart
from aetherface :
modest word. Plug those two into the appropriate boxes, and you will still be able to read. :) Thanks.
from hijayxx :
Dot ya ever give up. We can win this fight and this world shall not keep us down. Good luck to ya!
from secret-motel :
Hello there. Thank you very much for the kind note!
from fling-poo :
Hope the mucinex helps and ya feel better. :-)
from bradbot :
told you i'd get a myspace eventually...it's like days old, and i'm lazy..so add me and make me look cooler maybe? [email protected]
from bradbot :
i ran out of room..this will just be confusing, it already is..your pics were nice. very dashing. adios.
from bradbot :
i'd kill a man to see radiohead this week...creeeepy..you know how hip i am? i didn't even think to look for you on myspace..also i never made a myspace account..also i don't even have the internet. maybe i'll make one sometime and show people my "super hot" pics...
from bradbot :
definately easy. how about you let me stay at your place in sunny california, and you can stay at my place in rainy vancouver..deal? this frank black business..well i can't say they are one of the best bands ever, like the pixies...or even close to it. so that's saying something...diaryland is like that forgotten bag of candy you left outside in the heat, and it melted and no longer tastes good. (which also makes no sense.)
from bradbot :
you forgot about me like i forgot about diaryland. "where is my mind?" how fitting. darling i'd be honored to be your valentine.
from bradbot :
'hey' by the pixies is one of my favorite songs ever. so i guess you could say i feel quite good about you really liking the pixies.
from expctnthing :
i really kind of sucks, huh.
from bradbot :
so i guess i like your words. even when they ryme. ..especially when they ryme. and fish. i like them. not to eat, but to look at. good day.
from dontremember :
nope
from bradbot :
so your guest book doesn't work!.. ROAR!
from parlance :
