im okay! the twisters were very close to me. they did so much damage. but the worst of it was down south further than where i am. i live a little north of birmingham in a valley, so we fortunately evaded the damned things. please be well, my friend. i have missed you. you have not left my thoughts.

Umm you may have already read it but The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold really is amazing. I know everyone says it, but it really is true. The Book Thief by Marcus Zuzak is also one of my all time top 5 EVER... ummmm The Slap is interesting (if slightly misogynistic). Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides is really really good...oh and several friends have said Shantaram, but I haven't read it yet myself, so I will let you know :)

Would saying that I disagree, that you deserve better than her and she is clearly the one who has lost out (even if it doesn't feel that way right now) make you feel even the tiniest smidgen better? Probably not, but it's the truth...BTW I've said it before and I will say it again- there is no statute of limitations on the pain caused by another human being, shit like this is always gonna hurt, no matter how long it has been. You have lots of people around you who sympathise and will feel with you through this. You *will* get through it. Promise :) xo
