Amen! (used to indicate hearty approval and NOT expression of faith, unless one considers faith in this instance to describe that which is restored in humanity for me by you) Um. Yeah, and that last bit you wrote, I cheered a little and now everyone at work thinks I'm nuts. Well, nuttier. Than they previously thought. I'm having a day of indignation, your timing is superb. Can you tell I've had a lot of coffee today? :)

I was in Europe in Feb., and it was definitely good to get a less baised perspective, but the only channel that was in English was this worldwide CNN that seemed to focus mostly on the UN. But it was still better than American news. And it was just amazing, to be walking around ancient cities or to go into a cathedral and see banners hanging saying things like (of course they were in different languages, but we translated them): War is not God's will, Bush....and so on. And when American government casually came into conversation with the people we met, there was one of those awkward moments where you hope something will break, or something like that, because everyone thought it was so crappy (although, I think they thought we thought the government is good, which we didn't, if that makes sense). Just a different spin on everything over there, I guess.

i guess i have to explain my position on the total information thing: as written, it doesn't apply to the citizens of the us. however, we all know that this won't stop it from being exploited by the no-necked bullet-heads in washington. (they know who they are...) mercifully, i think it will collapse under it's own weight and difficulty to operate. the patriot act is just plain damn scary. knee jerk reactions are not the solution to any problem, real or imagined. -and the "hah!" at the end of that survey was just a gentle reminder that i am always typing with tongue in cheek. (preventing me from biting the thing off.) stay informed, keep thinking, perhaps cooler heads will prevail. love ya, mean it!

I wasn't making fun of you, I promise.

I have a huge crush on Diaryland but it's not enough to get mad at

Dear FreeB? Your Sauce-like correspondant added a new checking account today... and it was the first time he had come face-to-face with Patriot One. He loves this country--but suddenly feels like moving to Frigging Canada. Fingerprints for Checking So The Can Be Run Through NSA Computers. Nice. No loss of privacy or personal liberty there. Really.

(1) Until I know better, I call everyone "he." It's not sexist but apathy. I save time on typing the "s" and I think that s/he is ugly. (2) "Yadda Yadda Yadda" was in referrence to the note before being incomprehensible (3) "Not showering" was a joke or comment you must have made on your page and then got transfered to your profile, to spark interest in you. (4) I already respect you, a conversation with me would probably only offend you. You know us Neo Cons (real ones, conservatives that used to be liberal) we're just so offensive. Oh well.

I read your entry and you shouldn't call people 'pricks' it alienates your audience (I used to coach debate - don't ruin a good arguement with foul language). I enjoyed (and I mean this sincerely) that you accuse the media of bias. Everyone accuses the media of bias and I wish there was an objective way to see what "The Media" truly believes. As a supporter of Mr. Bush (and I'm not retarded) and an activist in the Party (because I am informed and believe in it) I find it amusing that they totally switched from "bumbling idiot son of the rich" to "Hero on a White Horse" overnight. Keep protesting, we need it. I don't equate supporting our troops with supporting the President nor that support with patriotism. Opposing our Administration is patriotic.
from spritopias :
I'm sorry...I should have just said, "yadda yadda yadda, blah blah blah"
from spritopias :
My diary is by no means a fair indicator of who I am. As for my comment on your survey about thinking someone was 'dumb becuase you disagree with them' was meant as a general statement about people who, in general, disagree with people on the basis of their political affilation. I wasn't attacking you but making a statement. I should have rephrased mine. The war has brought this to a head with people being for peace on the basis of opposing George W. Bush and needing as issue to do it on (not all pro-peace people, some). I respect your survey.
