Dropped by to say hi! Hope the turkey day was good and all is well. We are holding a family gathering on Frans's birthday which is coming up in a few days. Yeah, we will keep her memory alive and get to see all the family in one place. Sending you much love and success in all you do xoxo
from jimbostaxi :
Hey, I just got your postcard! Thanks and happy belated birthday!🎉🎉🎁🎁🍺🍻 Two of my daughters are in Nicaragua right now with all their kids. I've never been to Costa Rica or Nicaragua but it looks so beautiful. Fran’s sister messaged me and said whenever I want to come I'm welcome Lol. Take care sending much love your way. Xoxoxo

from jimbostaxi :
Correction on where we are staying it's by Harbour Lakes the town center is Palmas. 5 minutes from the Wyndham Palmas golf resort. :)
from jimbostaxi :
What no shrooms? Yeah, that was a wise decision because no one wants to be unexpectedly floating around the ocean on a door like Rose :) I'm glad you guys enjoyed your time away and got to recharge. We stayed about an hour outside the capital at a place called Palma De Mar. My first Airbnb experience and I must say it was fabulous. Sure, it was cost-effective but I never felt like we lacked anything our whole time here. Take care. Xoxo
from jimbostaxi :
Has it been 13 years? I have been on your page for a while but I didn't know it was that long. Congrats on not taking that job (who needs that aggravation) and congrats on the weight loss! Xoxo
from jimbostaxi :
Thank you for the kind words and PR blessing :) I wish I felt like a hero and knew what I was doing. They tried reaching out again through a coworker yesterday and I said what's the point? I know this may sound silly but it all feels similar to a toxic relationship. Something I know that's bad for me and could kill me but I have the urge to go back because that's all I know. I don't know what I'm saying or doing but this fear of the unknown is what's driving me. What's out there beyond the horizon for Jimbo? You are my hero Hitch-hike! The way you navigate through obstacles in your life and always come out on top. Xoxo
from jimbostaxi :
To you as well! Thank you:) Love is like Adobo it makes everything better! :)

I'll grab a bottle of something cold later on tonight and write you a proper email. You should have seen my outfit yesterday grey silk tie, black blazer, and a black linen shirt. The pants were grey chinos and black shoes. Not Jimbo’s usual work gear but it feels kind of good to dress up.
from jimbostaxi :
The death rattle and cancer entry made me sad. Made me think of my recent experience. Xo
from jimbostaxi :
I'm here following your journey. Live and learn that's all we can do right? Sending hugs and love your way. Xoxo
from jimbostaxi :
The wait is finally over! My grandson was delivered this morning and weighed 10 lbs 3 ounces!
from life-my-way :
Weird. User its and PW mylife works for me. I had a period after mylife in the last note, maybe that's the problem?
from jimbostaxi :
I'm so sorry to read that Marley passed. Sending love and hugs xoxo
from life-my-way :
Of course! User: its PW: mylife.
from life-my-way :
Crying some tears for you and Marley. Our dogs occupy such a sweet space in our lives. It’s a shame that their lifespans don’t correlate to their goodness. XO K
from jimbostaxi :
Ohhhh yesssss it was a very mellow ride. When I was younger I would kill a whole pint quickly. Now, I'm sipping at it for hours just to take the edge off. I mean holy fuck I'm here every holiday so I deserve a little something lol. Xoxo
from jimbostaxi :
I do gravitate towards a Zen approach but I'm still searching for what works. One day maybe ill find it. :)
from jimbostaxi :
Your card made it! Thanks xoxo

from jimbostaxi :
I sent you an email :)
from jimbostaxi :
Happy Early Christmas! Loved the pic and thanks for letting me know you got it! Lol. I will send out an email in return in the next day or two. My mind is all kind of focused on follow-up interviews coming in the next day or two. That Wednesday Addams line cracked me up in your email. Xoxo stay safe and be merry!
from jimbostaxi :
I'll be on the road soon to visit the kids and then work but I wanted to reach out to say Happy Thanksgiving to you and Marley! Xo
from jimbostaxi :
Just dropped in to check to see how you were doing :)
from moodswing :
I'm glad you weathered the storm.
from jimbostaxi :
Vamp, that's a good word Lol. She does fall into that description. I was almost swayed into inviting her out a few hours ago! I kept strong and didn't but it was close. Lol

from jimbostaxi :
Hey, I am so sorry about your niece. You know if you ever want to chat about it drop me an email. I also saw the part about Carlo and the hospice and that made me sad as well. We all helped take of Frans's every need so we only did hospice in the very and. It sucks very much losing people that you care about and you have my condolences. Xoxo😘
from jimbostaxi :
Lots of whiskeys! Ty, very much for the kind words! Appreciate you drooping in.❤️❤️
from jimbostaxi :
You are 100 percent right. I don't know why I let their outside appearances burn me up. I always say “kids” but they are adults and I'm sure they are internalizing all this better than I am. Xoxo
from jimbostaxi :
Hitttchhhhhikeeeee Mr. Jimbo saysssss holaaaaaa!!! Lol
from jimbostaxi :
I enjoy writing about my granddaughters and I am happy you enjoyed it too! :) they are one of the few things that give me happiness. Thanks for the note! :)
from portlypete :
Thanks for your reply. After further intensive research (Googling 'pisco'), it seens I can get it from Am@z0n (who'd have thought!). So glad you enjoyed England - London and Sussex are my part of the world. Come back soon.
from portlypete :
I need a pisco sour (maybe two) and I need them now. Do you think regular brandy would be a good substitute? I promise to steer clear of stripper poles for everybody's sake. p.s. Glad to find that you have visited the U.K. Where did you you go? Also, Italy should definitely be top of your bucket list of places to explore - it is my very favorite place to go, closely followed by India (if you can stand the appaulling rich / poor divide.
from curious-me :
Okay the pisco sour sounds intriguing! Now I'm dying to know what's in it and how to make them! :)
from jimbostaxi :
Happy early New Year! Xoxo
from jimbostaxi :
Hey, Merry Christmas! Thanks for the card! I appreciate you and everyone here and when my mind clears I will be back chatting like normal. xoxo
from jimbostaxi :
Maybe a good lusting while eating donuts! This way it's the best of both worlds! I couldn't afford to spend anything on donuts this time around because parking and gas have been expensive. The “needy” thing came about because she was annoyed that I was going to file a complaint about rescinding my early access. I mean she’s not wrong I am “needy” but hurting my feelings wasn't going to quiet me. It's so exhausting all these emotions,,, having them,,, then explaining them. Lol
from moodswing :
Yeah. I saw it in an image. "The way people think grief works: [a regular bottle with a grief ball in it, then the same bottle with a smaller ball in it]." "The way grief actually works: [regular bottle with the grief ball in it.. and then, same size grief ball, but the bottle has gotten bigger.] Yep.

from jimbostaxi :
It kind of all fell together very quickly. I had originally just asked her to help with finding a spot for Soccara to get vaccinated. Then after that, the pressure for me to get vaccinated became too much so I let her find a spot for me as well. She was very kind today and it was very touching how she worried about me. We had some funny moments! I got to brag to a few of the workers that my daughter took time out from her hospital job to be by my side.:)
from jimbostaxi :
Sent you an email :)
from jimbostaxi :
That's good news on your niece's case. It most definitely has taken its time to make it to this point.

Wasssssssuppp. Jimbo here and if you can please direct me to the right angel I want to request money in my next life. This poverty thing kind of sucks and want to try something different. :)
from moodswing :
crying party! I am a fan of those. Let's all sit on a couch and bottle our tears and sell them as Florida Water.
from jimbostaxi :
Sounds like you guys had a blast. When everyone was on the beach I can visualize a sexier version of Tina Fey telling the guys to go ahead while she rested bundled up in the serape. :)
from jimbostaxi :
I'm on the nightshift which means I pretty much never sleep. :) Merry Christmas! And thank you! I'm reading your update too and will leave you another note in a few. :)
from jimbostaxi :
Dec 16. Hitch-hike, Just dropped in to wish you and the family Merry Christmas! 🎅🎄
from raven72d :
Good song choices.
from zenayda :
I don't think I have your email. I trashed my LJ account but will see if I can log into an old one and send you a note.
from whystinger :
Wow, your 12/06 entry grabbed me. Too many suicides lately. One happened near friends out in the country where I used to live. A relative of theirs (by marriage) shot himself. The called the Police, who investigated and brought in the coroner. The coroner asked for a shovel and covered up any blood and tissue on the earth.
from zenayda :
How tragic, on so many levels. But I suspect a lot of people will soon be doing what Samuel did. This is a miserable time of year for many people, and it will be made only worse by the pandemic.
from alienamiss :
Wanted to drop a line to letcha know I'm thinking of you ~ saw the recent "Blemish removal" post, and am definitely wishing you well~!
from moodswing :
"But, the little wound assures me that sometimes, healing isn’t always visible but is so necessary for wounds that deep. That certainly can apply to the type of wounds we can’t see." like, I really just love you so much
from zenayda :
Yikes! Sorry you had to go through that. But glad that you were able to get prompt treatment.
from misfitstray :
That's interesting! And what kind of field to you teach?
from misfitstray :
what do you do for a living? Just wondering...
from raven72d :
If they reno'd those apartments, they'd be hugely valuable...though since I assume the city owns them, they'd end up being grace-and-favor apartments or major job perks for senior staff.
from jimbostaxi :
Hi Hitch-hike, I thought about what you wrote in your last entry about ”not being able to change the family dynamic.” That reminds me so much of my situation with Darlene. I can't change what's been in place for years all I can do is reach out and show her I care. Thanks for the note :)
from nineofswords :
Thanks so much for the kind note. Made me feel good!
from jimbostaxi :
Never been there but I've watched a million fight videos that people post online. Least if I worked there I could get some grub after a fight. Lol
from zenayda :
Happy birthday!

from jimbostaxi :
I was thinking of getting a tattoo of Soccara’s name for my bday. Maybe that will make her smile.
from annanotbob2 :
Thanks xx
from catsoul :
8.25.2020. hi. When Sadie and Malcolm needed meds during their old years, I found a small dab of smooth peanut butter worked so well. Just a suggestion to try. I also relate so about the walks. When their ability to not go for a walk happened I used to cry. Then we made a ramp to go off the deck steps, there were 3. Love Marley, that is what matters, our pets are their lives. Peace. =^..^=
from jimbostaxi :
Happy early bday!!!🍺🍕🌮
from jimbostaxi :
Ugh, poor Marley I hope you can do something for her. Take care.
from jimbostaxi :
Fran has her second round of chemo tomorrow and, her anxiety is getting worse by the hour. I like the broken muffler comparison if you only knew how many times I've seen that happen. I slept over Darlene's the other night and, it was so quiet it kept me awake! I'm glad things are moving along with your niece but still saddened by that whole thing.
from jimbostaxi :
Lol, I better start making gift bags full of that stuff so I'm ready for next time! That really would put smiles on their faces! :)
from moodswing :
I really like the idea of a ritual to give people back their secrets. I could use that.
from jimbostaxi :
Hitch-hike, Drooped in to say hi. I am doing well for now and trying to not let my anxiety destabilize what normalcy is left. Thanks again for the email and notes.
from jimbostaxi :
Ty hitch-hIke, i just drove home from the hospital in a fog,, shes been in my life for so long its not a life without her. If we were The Leaning Tower Of Pisa she would be the rock that keeps it from tipping. You take that away,,, all you have is rubble (me)
from jimbostaxi :
The funny thing is when I wrote that I never thought anyone would get it. Glad to see there's a few of you who might have ironic demises as well. Lol
from annanotbob2 :
Thanks! I had a great day! x

from ninabean :
diary land surfing and came across your musings, I love the concept of seeing memories through various different eyes and emotions!
from jimbostaxi :
I love putting inside jokes in my stuff to see if anyone gets it! I'm glad the cats out the bag now I don't have to laugh at it by myself. :)
from jimbostaxi :
Hitch-hike, Thanks for the kind words and healing vibes. Things are getting reopened by you so please protect yourself as the masses flock to beaches and parks. Soccara is doing well except for getting a little stir crazy on her 3rd night home. I guess my role now will be expanded to activities director to keep her sane. I will just burst in the room shouting “I GOTCHA COLORING BOOKS, PAINTS, VIDEO GAMES, POPCORN and PEANUTS” and see what interests her. Take care xoxo
from jimbostaxi :
Hi Hitch-hike, I keep forgetting to mention this in notes and emails. I want to thank you for being so awesome. Your part of what makes this place great and it wouldn’t really be the same without you and a few others I’ve got to know over the years. I sincerely appreciate that! :) We are doing what we can up here to protect the most vulnerable and taking it one day at a time. I hope you and your family continue to stay safe and healthy. Oh, and happy belated 4/20 :)
from u-saved-me :
good call <3 when it's so easy to be angry and wallowing in bullshit, let's take the fresh air route instead and support each other as best we can.
from annanotbob2 :
Thanks - big hugs to you xx
from jimbostaxi :
Happy Easter! Stay safe.
from jimbostaxi :
I'm such a roller coaster of emotion one day I pat humanity on the back and, the next I write about death. The poem thing never starts out to be a poem. It usually is just me pouring my sadness onto the page. I find by putting it in that form It's easier for me to relate to the reader the depth of my despair. Stay safe Hitch-hike! Thanks for reading and the note. 👍
from jimbostaxi :
When I read about your state-issued cannabis card my brain imagined wake and bakes every morning. :)
from jimbostaxi :
I was dismissed from mine fairly quickly when I voiced my displeasure about being there. ”we want people who want to be here” they said. It took longer to drive out to Riverhead and home than to get excused.
from jimbostaxi :
Hey hitch-hike, I thought he was going right into a program but, now I found out he’s in a local hospital with water around his heart. I can only hope he follows through once he leaves the hospital and gets help for his drinking. He is familiar with all the people that I've mentioned here that have used heroin. Thanks for the note :)
from misfitstray :
Thank you!
from jimbostaxi :
For my master bathroom I dream of having a marble floor, over sized shower with the glass partition. Then a floor to ceiling window overlooking some beautiful view. A guy can dream right? Lol
from whystinger :
Maybe you should just simply reach out to your sis and ask how she is doing, keep it brief and simple to reconnect. If no call, then a simple text "Hi, was thinking about you, how are you? LMK, hugs."
from zenayda :
I hear you about disbanding hopes and dreams and "what if?" Seems like endings, regardless of form, often need to be processed and grieved. Hugs!
from jimbostaxi :
Happy New Year! That entry was one brief moment of clarity in the chaos that is my life :)
from moodswing :
Ask for a kaleidoscope
from jimbostaxi :
Hitch-hike, I'm so very sorry on the loss of your niece. I know nothing I can say here can take away the pain of losing a loved one but you have all of us here if you need us. As for the dream ,,, jeez that was very trippy ,,, I’m always very wound up after the scary ones,, I know they are not real but they do make me think about my life.
from shor-t :
Hey just a random question but did you ever get prompted to pay $19 to keep your diary open?
from catsoul :
11.15.19. Hi. I see that your place to write is locked. Any chance to get the PW, just askin". my email is: [email protected]
from zenayda :
I am so very sorry to hear of this tragic loss. My heart goes out to you and your family.
from misfitstray :
I'm very sorry for your loss!
from curious-me :
I am so sorry for the loss of your niece. Death of a loved one is always sad but with one so young it is heart breaking.
from jimbostaxi :
:) I would definitely pay to see that movie! One minute they're in the studio singing the next their on the prowl.
from misfitstray :
Where were you in the Netherlands for your retreat? I would be very interested to do such a thing too.
from misfitstray :
Oh, nearly forgot, here they come *vibesforverylooooongvacations* ♥
from misfitstray :
Sometimes I would wish I would be able to feel such a "Pang" for a person too. It's been years or maybe even decades since I last felt something similar with just meeting eyes. Maybe it's because I'm getting older and wiser *hahaha*
from jimbostaxi :
Hey, ty for the note :) Belated bday greetings to you as well. Hope yours was great mine was just another day. I think Im going to start deducting years from here on out lol. My cake was pretty good lol but the real surprise was watching her eat ice cream ,,, lol
from misfitstray :
Thank you for the add as well! ♥

It's not you the times we are living in are fraught with danger no matter where you look.
from jimbostaxi :
I'm so sorry to hear that your grandma passed away. Please accept my deepest condolences.
from jimbostaxi :
I see your profile but not the diary yet. I tested a bunch of them and I found one more that's not showing up.
from annanotbob2 :
Thanks xxx
from jimbostaxi :
First, let me say welcome back! That dream with Darlene had a lot to do with her growing up and becoming more distant. As for the DXM entry, I didn't even know that was a thing Kathy was the first person I met with that addiction.
from jimbostaxi :
Yeppers, 😂😂😂you are so right! Everything in moderation right ?
from jimbostaxi :
Congratulations on the promotion!!!👍🏆💰
from jimbostaxi :
We all pour our anger, fears, and frustrations on these pages that’s why I love this place so much. I myself have given up on the wanting to be loved and wanting to belong, now all I want is some marble counter tops for my kitchen and lots of forks,,, those darn those just keep vanishing! :) Take care
from jimbostaxi :
I’m partial to the Salvodorian kind myself mmmmm yummy, maybe some Carne Assada too! Oh boy I’m getting hungry lol
from jimbostaxi :
A new house huh? Ok I’ll send the tamales for the housewarming :) congrats !
from jimbostaxi :
Happy belated New Years!! Maybe I can say happy early Valentine’s Day ? Lol Ive been missing mostly here but I’m trying to make a comeback! I hope all is well with you and thank you very much for dropping in :)
from raven72d :
23 December 18--- Merry Christmas and best wishes for the Year Nineteen.
from dangerspouse :
LOL! Thanks for the note. Yeah, I was wondering where I was hiding too, for a while there. But I think I finally found myself (and god, I could use a shower and maybe some flea powder). Just read your latest entry...yup, relationships and how to handle them are a mystery to everyone. Welcome to our species :)
from jimbostaxi :
Thanks for stopping in :) i only wish someone would sell me a roadmap to all these twist and turns in life, this way I could avoid some of the pitfalls.

It's always fun to meet another librarian. I'm not working in a library now, but got my MLIS in 2000 and worked in an academic library at a small HBCU in Tuscaloosa for a couple years. Also as the librarian (and general factotum) in a preK-12 international school for several more. I'm supremely jealous that you went to ALA AND got to see Michelle Obama. I've never been to ALA, but some day I'll cut loose and do just that. I hope. My diary is locked (as if anyone would find it), but I'd be happy to share the p/w with you if you'd like to read. If you're interested, I'll email it to you (I'm mkklose at gmail dot com). Nice to have found you! K.
from catsoul :
6/23/18...hi. I so get what you mean and wrote. You are probably an empath. Empaths are a light and many things. My grandmother was an empath and healer. I am an empath, and my granddaughter who is 6, has even more abilities than I do. I started teaching her to meditate when she was 3. So maybe you should look into them. Peace. =^..^=
from raven72d :
Get yourself to France! It'll be great!
from annanotbob2 :
Thanks - glad you enjoyed it. He could teach these modern stars about being decent couldn't he? All the best xx
from jimbostaxi :
Thanks for the note :) I felt like if I could write it down somewhere and get it out of my head, then maybe I could take action on it. Baby steps ( I wonder if Dr Leo Marvin’s book actually exist? :)
from jimbostaxi :
Thanks ! I really am happy for her she’s a great daughter and I’m happy she’s found happiness and happy she wants me to be apart of it :)
from zenayda :
I had the opposite upbringing, at least in terms of discussing poverty. My parents were Depression-era and they both spoke about it freely, the better to get the point across that there is no shame in any kind of honest day's work and there is nothing wrong with needing a leg up as long as you're earnestly trying to do something to improve your situation. Honestly? I think we need more of that. I can't speak to passing, as I'm white.
from jimbostaxi :
Feel better lots of chicken soup ok :) me personally I gave up the soup awhile back now I’ll just have avocados and toast when I’m Ill.
from jimbostaxi :
Can you believe that’s number four!!! 3 girls and one boy. I never imagined life would turn out like this with all the grand kids. Maybe all of them will visit when they get bigger like it was when I was a kid, the whole family together at the holidays,,, that would be a nice memory,, thanks for stopping by!:0)
from jimbostaxi :
Hey Hitch hike thanks for the note:0) it is sad about my coworker dying but I must be a horrible human being cause I can’t feel it,,, they all knew ,, every single one ,,they all enabled him and went about their lives,,, it makes me angry.. I could have dragged this out in the open brought outside people in and you know what they would have said ,,, fuck you jimmy your fired .. and they would have continued on the same way. Sad waste of a life,,,
from annanotbob2 :
I'm so sorry - I thought of you when I wrote about keeping safe. Please do, always. Hugs xx
from dangerspouse :
Hey, thank you very much for stopping by my place and taking the time to leave such a nice note. I appreciate the expression of condolence, and allow me to extend the same to you on the loss of your friend. Such a terrible thing. All the best to you, and thank you again.
from raven72d :
28 Jan 18--- an arrival... I'd like for that to happen, I think. But I am going to be paying attention to the cards.
from raven72d :
21 January 18--- I'm glad the date seemed to go well.
from raven72d :
that does sound like a good description of the Wheel of Fortune card. I think that reversed, it implies that you get out life what you put into it.
from musikoid :
You seem like a cool person.
from musikoid :
Congrats on getting your article published. Hope you get that promotion.
from jimbostaxi :
Hope your having a great xmas ! Ty very much for the note :0)

Central Wisconsin. Dexterville. On an Island, there is a land bridge to get on the Island. We did get a little snow now. I shoveled for about 4 hours yesterday. Peace Out. =^..^=

from jimbostaxi :

from raven72d :
Small victories matter. I hope there are many of them for you at the job.
from catsoul :
hi. I felt a connection/feeling of your writing about grief and loss. You wrote it so well. It is tough always being the one who helps others through their grief. So thanks for letting me read your thoughts. Peace Out. =^..^=
from jimbostaxi :
blowing a wad is always fun ( money and otherwise lol) it’s just that we raised Mike to be more cost conscious and to see him spend money I know he doesn’t have concerns me, but he’s a new dad and I know he’s excited so I just sat back and tried not to rain on his parade. A new puppy would be a great gift ! she would grow up with at the same time as all the new grand kids on the downside of that I’d have grandkids crying plus the puppy whining ugh ,,,I can’t help but be the wet blanket lol :0)
from annanotbob2 :
Haha! Your Marley was part of what inspired me to go for it and get a dog! I did want a dachshund but couldn't afford one - they cost a small fortune here. But Shirley is lovely, if a bit naughty still. xxx
from jimbostaxi :
My previous note was actually suppose to be on another page I’d lost it and I just saw it here and I’m like wtf? So disregard that one lol :0) the whole big let’s mortgage our house to pay for our kids bday is insane it’s big business just like the wedding stuff. Society makes people think that we need all that materialistic stuff to be happy, maybe it’s that me and my sis grew up poor so I’m kind of out of touch with what’s normal. It just seems so wasteful ,, I’m just Danny the downer lol
from jimbostaxi :
Those were my Halloween costumes pretty realistic huh?

from curious-me :
Aaaaaaaand I finally remembered to check my email that I rarely use - lol. Welcome back. I am so sorry for your losses. Glad you have someone new in your life - I hope all is well. It's nice to have you back in Dland!
from curious-me :

from jimbostaxi :
My condolences on Remy and your stepfather :0(
from jimbostaxi :
Hitchin down the old Dland trail again that's totally awesome! Welcome back :0)
from annanotbob2 :
Welcome back! I think the thing with anxiety is to recognise it and study it so that you can get to a place where you have control (to some extent) over the anxiety rather than it controlling you. I did get this from the long recovery group I did, and I think I am in a much better position now, though it is still a big feature of my life. I hope you can find a way to a better place xxx
from annanotbob2 :
Yeah, central London. we could hang out! x
from raven72d :
2016 is the worst year since 1945.
from annanotbob2 :
Well said - scary times. I sincerely hope that all you fear won't come to pass but I'm scared for you and for all the other American friends I have who are not straight, white, anglo, rich men - oh - that's all of them. Big hugs amiga xxxx

from jimbostaxi :
What happened with the accident ? Someone hit you from behind ? Glad your ok. People are such assholes no one is paying attention to the road.
from annanotbob2 :
Diaryland is broken, really, isn't it? Love xx
from zenayda :
I'm glad you weren't injured. Being rattled is no fun, but yeah, glad you weren't hurt. Time off sounds like a good idea.
from jimbostaxi :
A driveby at 930pm to return trivial items wtf? Yeah, he has issues
from jimbostaxi :
On the job thing it always comes back to haunt you it's never kept confidential, theft is occurring here and I can't come forward because instead of using security tapes they will say" oh Jimbo said you stole money" so fuck them! They will figure it out enventually :0)
from jimbostaxi :
Texas is a calling !! Everything is bigger in Texas !!! Even the fun :0)
from jimbostaxi :
You are a survivor! Hope all is ok Saw your entry sending out hugs from Ny xoxo peace

Your password and ID is the actress you said you resembled in that page you used to have with your diary.
from jimbostaxi :
Locked up for the moment I'll send you a pass-ID if you want
from ladyofjazz :
Thanks for the note you left a while back. Nice nugget of wisdom from 4 years ago you posted in your diary. I must keep that in mind. When life seems stuck.

Wow just went to Dangerspuses page and saw he has a Uranus thing on their too! Geez, I gues those ass jokes are more popular than I thought! Great minds think alike lol oh well I'll try harder on the next one Peace
from jimbostaxi :
Man, and here I was thinking it was Uranus hahaha yep I now have back to back notes involving ass I'm on a role maybe I'll be the next Rodney Dangerfield! Why him? You know he gets no respect :0) on a more serious note I want to thank you for the notes I really do appreciate them. It's pretty cool to open up Dland and see someone's stopped on by.
from whystinger :
Welcome to middle age... We have a few similarities and many differences, my younger Virgo Diarylander. I too live in the sunny South.
from zenayda :
Welcome to mid-life. I'll let you know how the 50s go. ;-)
from jimbostaxi :

I will mostly likely lose my marbles surpressing my motions then one day I will snap ,,, when that day comes I request you send me coloring books and maybe some shoes with no laces ,,, there are cracks in the dam people Jimbos about to blow!!! :0)

from jimbostaxi :
Anyone who doesn't like Donna Summer or the Captain and Tennille must be shot at dawn by a firing squad! :0) now that I think about it ,,,, lets line the guys up who don't like a gal who is high as a kite while watching redtube and taking off her makeup they deserve to die too! The ones who hate dogs get and extra bullet!!! J/k :0)
from jimbostaxi :
Lol, answer- hiding in the trunk :0)
from raven72d :
a lobster Reuben sandwich is a brilliant thought.
from raven72d :
The Arbitrary Social Rules clearly prevent males from owning, let alone using, sex toys. A lovely girl can have a Lelo vibrator and be chic and "empowered" and sexy. All a male can have is a Fleshlight or the Inflatable Love Sheep--- nothing that will help his reputation. Sex toys are a clear way for anyone male to be subject to derision and contempt.
from jimbostaxi :
Thanks for the note he suffered a lot while he he was here I can only hope he's in a better place.

from annanotbob2 :
I really don't think it did make any difference. I stopped just before Christmas and the next few months were amongst the worse I've ever known. Now I've started again, I do sometimes get the heebie-jeebies for a few minutes but then feel chilled. But I think it's a very personal response - it stops agreeing with some people, whereas others can be OK no matter how flaky. xx
from raven72d :
I'm terrified of colours that show dirt or stains, but I'm from the Deepest South: I understand about black in the heat.
from zenayda :
WOW! Boulder sounded like just what the doctor ordered!
from jimbostaxi :
I totally get where your coming from with the meds there's more to life than living pill to pill. Thanks for the note I totally wasn't expecting to see anything when I dropped by here it was a pleasant surprise hope you have a great weekend too :0)
from thruthecrowd :
*hugs* and support for not wanting to take meds I'm dealing with the same situation. :- <3
from thruthecrowd :
Thank you for your notes!! I really appreciate it! <3
from thruthecrowd :
i want to bitch slap that lil dude...haha

Burnt him up gooood! :0)

"Hell hath no fury...."
from zenayda :
Yep. Better to let him wonder if you even received it, or if you just don't give a crap and have moved on.
from jimbostaxi :
I hope Marley will be ok :0)
from jimbostaxi :
Hahaha that was awesome :0)
from jimbostaxi :
Mi Morena,,, oops I should say my ex Morena(her real name by the way) was on my mind but after your note the other one was :0)
from raven72d :
I'd love to try that!
from jimbostaxi :
I might have to start dreaming of that Miorena she is super fineeeeeeeeee! Even with no makeup gorgeous :0) the one I was dreaming of is from El Salvador from my past she just popped in my head and we were just walking and talking very boring dream I just kept thinking wheres her accent? It was bothering me so much I woke up.
from cocoabean :
My new theme song! I love it!
from jimbostaxi :
If you would have asked me two years ago or even a year ago if I would be thinking of leaving I would have responded with a resounding No! But now a days it's pretty much a given I'm done here with the exception of them offering a super sweet part time gig which I might accept.
from raven72d :
Yes! I do! Thank you for reminding me!
from cocoabean :
Waaaay back in the 70's, occasionally I could get WGN in my little Milwaukee apartment. It was then I saw SCTV, and it was awesome! Wasn't long after that SNL started. Most parties ended when SNL was over. Man, those were some fun times. Let's get small!!
from jimbostaxi :
To be perfectly honest with you to say I have a plan would be a lie. When I'm done with the training which is unpaid and take the road test they will then offer me a paid position. When I reach that juncture I really really would like to cut my full time taxi job down to a part time gig if they say no then I'll just leave altogether. The funny thing about this whole thing is the recruiter says " there's a lot of oportunity to advance here who knows you might even end up in the office here dispatching or in another capacity" which kind of opens up a whole new angle that I hadn't taken into consideration. So I'm just going to keep throwing stuff up in the air and keep trying to juggle it all until I drop something :0)
from thruthecrowd :
Thank you. It means more to me than I can express in words. <3
from jimbostaxi :
:0) rocked it! thank you for the note! :0)
from zenayda :
Sounds like you have a finely tuned gut. Nothing wrong with that. It's other people who have the problem. They see your foresight as hypersensitivity because they prefer to be complacent, themselves. My guess is that more than once, you've heard, "Well, you were right about..."
from jimbostaxi :
It means a lot to me that you and Mr Stinger took the time out to drop me a note I'm trying to fight back tears at work right now but there happy tears. Yep , the CDL will be a new road :0) thanks again
from cocoabean :
and why I don't do the online dating thing!
from cocoabean :
Yeah, all reasons I am perfectly happy without a man....
from zenayda :
Your 3/18 entry is so utterly perfect for with my rant of the same day.
from jimbostaxi :
Yeah, I'm not getting involved it's hard to sit in the sidelines but I'm doing the best I can they are together again and everything is on the mend. I have my doubts they will make it long term there's always some turmoil going on I just briefly mentioned to her " hey you ever think he might be using you"? she laughed and said "we must be related I was just thinking the same thing"! I've raised her to always think about the worst case scenarios so she tells me she's got it covered do now I just have to sit back and believe.
from cocoabean :
You didn't choose them, and you don't HAVE to be their friend. Don't see the ones who don't care about you.. they can see how well you do and are, maybe they are just jealous. Heh.
from zenayda :
Wow! Kudos on the presentation! That sounds really fulfilling, and like it was an informative night all around. Wouldn't mind attending something like that, actually.
from jimbostaxi :
Beeaking news just in,,,,, the event organizer wanted to pass on a message about your chic ensemble he said and I quote "VA VA VOOM" and added there going have to hire more security at your next speaking engangement :0)
from jimbostaxi :
Awesome note :o) damn spidey sense it's a curse I tell ya and a blessing,,, it saved my life today my lug nuts on my front wheel were almost all the way off:0( luckily I noticed in time and tightened them up.
from raven72d :
Thievery Coporation! I do like them a lot!

28 Feb. 16--- how are things here in Leap Year Month?
from jimbostaxi :
Living in the "compound" i just watch and listen they may not tell me all the stuff that's going on but I love a good mystery,,, every time I come home I look around to see if any things changed and if it has I begin interrogating the suspects. The baby news was easy to figure out they were always in his room. Now if I could solve the mystery of my missing wheat penny collection that would be a feat of real detective work!
from annanotbob2 :
Thank you so much - I didn't know that about brain imaging and it does make me feel quite a bit better. Your last post was really powerful - yay for you and Gabe xxxx
from whystinger :
Awesome entry on Feb 21, 2016. I went through Eastman Georgia about fifteen years ago and found the old NAACP office and in the downtown park (it is a small town) found they still had the two different sets of drinking fountains, one for blacks and one for whites. These were no longer hooked up and were left as a reminder of the days of old. Indeed, there were a third set of drinking fountains, which served everyone. I remember how shocked I was when I first went to the park and saw the two sets of drinking fountains.

dog scented dryer sheets... take that to the marketing department ...its gold
from jimbostaxi :
A few posts ago you were talking about the guy in the van you helped ( very brave of you I might add) but I digress :o) originally I always dreamed of going to somewhere in can use my Spanish but every since I saw Under The Tuscan Sun now I want to go to Italy ( I know it's corny but hey it was a good movie lol)
from jimbostaxi :
I never have days like that :0) family, friends, fun how will I be able to go back to my boring existence after all this? Thanks for the note :0)
from raven72d :
I rather like the attitude.
from dangerspouse :
Sorry for the delay getting back to you, as I was away all weekend. But I do want to thank you very much for replying with that info. It was very interesting, and much appreciated. Thanks again :)
from dangerspouse :
The only arapas I've had have indeed been made with cornmeal. What does Prof. Felipe's version use? I'd be all about making them if I thought there was a better version!
from raven72d :
messages will get through to me if you use my name here at yahoo dot com.
from cocoabean :
I've actually been reading you for a few months! I just don't comment much. ;)
from raven72d :
"Fishing village" and "drama" are both intriguing. Do tell!
from raven72d :
And how is life, here in late January?
from cocoabean :
Maybe the major player who was fired was seen as a major part of the low morale there... doesn't sound like you have anything to worry about there!
from jimbostaxi :
Hey that's awesome your back :0)

Imagine all the people, living life in peace!

from retro-cat :
Muchas gracias amiga! :)
from jimbostaxi :
Lol, yeah the only thing that's missing is the numbers on the bottom of my mugshot! Happy Holidays :0)
from zenayda :
Flight risk. That's an interesting way of putting it. If you're one of those, I'm a guaranteed grounding! Interesting, though, that we can feel so free to share with people we don't know, on here, but not "in real life."
from zenayda :
Too funny about the entertainer. You're a hoot!
from zenayda :
Yikes! I'm glad your sister could go stay with your aunt. Definitely didn't sound like a good situation for her, and yes, it seems you are very wise in limiting contact.
from curious-me :
Congrats on the new job! Oh and paper boxes rock! Those things are like gold in my office!
from zenayda :
Congratulations!
from jimbostaxi :
Good luck with your interview! ;o)
from raven72d :
Thank you! Much appreciated!
from zenayda :
You know what I like about you? You never give up. If you see something that needs fixing, you fix it. It you can't fix it, you move on. You're strong, and that's awesome.
from jarofporter :
:)
from jimbostaxi :
Ty for the note :0) sorry to read about the break up, I know I'm just some random stranger reading about your life and that he always had more feelings for you than you had for him. But i couldn't help but think as I was reading through your posts that if you were happy at your present position that you guys might still be together.
from zenayda :
"I am free, and I have courage." I like that.
from zenayda :
Ah, magnesium and calcium. Yep, that's different. Trust me, you don't want to take magnesium citrate before you go to bed. It's like Drano for your intestines. I took it once before a procedure, and when I bought it, the pharmacist said, "You're not planning on going anywhere, are you?" He wasn't kidding. O_x
from zenayda :
Magnesium citrate to sleep? Maybe you mean melatonin? Magnesium citrate is the stuff they give you as bowel prep to empty you out the day before surgery.
from invisibledon :
ah man i was really hoping it wasn't rocket science... i'll never get a date now.
from zenayda :
Yep. It's compounded by the fact that we raised money for the same charity, have a lot of interests and therefore "likes" in common, and in general have a trail across the entire internet in a way I never had one with anyone else. That's why I deactivated my previous FB account entirely and moved all of my friends over to the current one. But in a way, I'm glad he looked at his own Instagram account on my tablet and that it was still in the cache, or I'd never have seen the photo of Scragglehead and I might have put some effort into trying to get back together with him. Knowing him, had I done that, he'd have strung me along, all the while seeing her. His definition of honesty is to not blatantly lie. It doesn't occur to him that not revealing all he could reveal is the mark of a slimeball weasel. Too bad I can't do my 40s over.

Anxiety is the pits. It really is. Hugs!
from zenayda :
What a fun vacation! Rock lobster...
from zenayda :
I think I'd enjoy a LOT of things more when I'm not on American soil. Probably because if I got injured at them, I wouldn't have to worry about paying for the health care!
from raven72d :
So...no time to waste, then!
from raven72d :
Packing, purging, moving... All three things leave me exhausted and crazy.

from gr8legs :
hi, hitch-hike. sorry i'm so late getting back to you. to answer your question regarding me returning back to my job is a good one and one i still ponder daily. i fill a myriad of emotions be back. 1. i'm thankful to be working, to have to be someone where everyday and to have insurance. 2. i'm befuddled as to why i couldn't find my dream job. i know in my heart God told me told me to leave. 3. having to go back is heartbreaking because i really wanted something else and it's humbling being around the same folks i told, "God is telling me to leave..." all to have to pull into the parking lot and walk through those same doors. 4. because i'm doing something different, my urge to find something else isn't nearly as intense. don't get me wrong, the urge to leave is still there, i'm so busy learning something new that this job engages me like i wasn't previously. 5. sometimes i feel like a failure for going back. i took a gamble and a high-risk, on myself leaving all for it not to pan out the way i had hoped.
from jimbostaxi :
My first reaction was no never again!! But now im leaning toward a maybe,,, one on my other shoulder would be nice :0) I might have to hit the gym so I can show those bad boys off,, seems like a long shot but its possible.💪💪

from zenayda :
Sounds like you know yourself better than the doctor. Being reserved doesn't imply depression. Neither does being a loner. You can always get a second opinion. Are you in counseling, too? If not, the meds will only go so far no matter what.
from invisibledon :
Oh, it's not that I don't particularly like sport I do, the corruption in sport bothers me but it's everywhere and that one player I just don't like him and I don't have a good reason not to either.
from thruthecrowd :
hey, thanks for adding me.:)
from curious-me :
I love the whole imagery of the 'slashing of the books'! Sorry you didn't get the other job. Good luck on apartment hunting, I'm sure you'll find something awesome - you have time on your side - no need to rush! And lastly have fun diving - I live thru your adventures since that is something that I know I would never try!

from jimbostaxi :

from jimbostaxi :
Divine discontent it has such a great ring to it, im going have to use that somewhow ( with your permission of course) in my next argument with my boss :0) glad to read about you doing well on your interview/ presentation how long before you hear back from them on a start date? When your in Vegas throw some money down on double zero :0)
from jimbostaxi :
I dropped a pic in my last entry tell me what you think :0) hope you rock that presentation!
from zenayda :
Oh, wow! Fingers crossed for the second interview!
from jimbostaxi :
"To shroom, or not to shroom: that is the question:" I will never tell :0) sorry to read about your interview :0(
from zenayda :
Aye, the heart wants what it wants. Sorry about the interview. To my thinking, that just means a better opportunity is on the way.
from curious-me :

from zenayda :
"When a man is truly into a woman, he wants to be with her all the time." I don't know about that. My own experience is that this is a sign of infatuation, and okay at first, but if he needs to be up in my grill 24-7 after the first couple of months, I wonder why he doesn't have a life and interests of his own. Of course, my last relationship swung in the opposite direction, but there is a happy medium. I don't want to be responsible for someone else's happiness, and shouldn't have to be. He should be whole and complete on his own.
from jimbostaxi :
Congrats on getting back with Remy! :0) awesome Clip of B&B! Some of these people are exasperating! One bad phone call like in my post can ruin my night if i let it get to me.
from curious-me :
Just for the record I'm in the 'oh cool' category! Congrats - be happy - that is all that matters!
from zenayda :

from jimbostaxi :
Happy new years !! Ty for the note :0) its been a rough start so far in 2014, but im taking it one day at a time trying not to expect to much this way I dont get disappointed.I would have done the same thing as you on the Mike incident tell the truth and let the chips fall where they may. Have a great night ! :0)
from raven72d :
Glad to hear you had a good NYE.
from zenayda :
Remy sounds like he has inner strength. :-) Also, you're right about jobs. When it's not a good fit, it's not a good fit. Being that we spend most of our waking hours working, might as well find something you enjoy.
from jimbostaxi :
Anxiety fucking sucks! Ive dealt with it poorly my entire life. Im just happy my daughter is the polar opposite of me and doesnt suffer from debilitating anxiety
from gr8legs :
thanks for the note. i do appreciate your encouraging words.
from jimbostaxi :
Yeah it sucks that Red died after being in the hospital all those months. I think Death lurks in the hallways of my job because Red is the sixth person I have seen die since Ive been here. They didnt all die of the same thing but its depressing to see that many people pass in a short period of time. Pretty soon death will come for me......
from curious-me :
I grew up with a neighbour who had a mom named "Chicky" not once did I find it weird until years later when I spoke about her in childhood stories. Cricket doesn't seem so weird to me! And on another note it's pretty awesome to know you can defend yourself if you had to! I've never been put to that test....and truthfully hope I never will be.
from jimbostaxi :
Hi, thanks for the note :0) it was and amazing but very weird experience! What made the story more unbelievable was I had been looking up stuff on ancient indian gods that day.( I left that part put of my post because I doubt anyone would believe me but its TRUE! )
from zenayda :
Ha! I love your fantasy. I would try it myself if I had my own house and didn't have to worry about neighbors ratting on me. I mean, I already have the writing part and the 60s music down. Someday I will go all the way!

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I have no words of wisdom to share - just take care of yourself! xoxo
from zenayda :
Hugs, chica. It can't be easy for you. My thoughts are with you.

from retro-cat :
Awesome names whichever one you choose!! Yay for the dad lovin' "J" names :)
from annanotbob2 :
Woo hoo! Congratulations!! xxxxx
from curious-me :
Wow! Congratulations!!! I know you've probably been going thru every emotion about this but you seem in a good place with this baby. I don't even really 'know' you but I couldn't stop grinning when I read your news!!
from retro-cat :
Wow! Awesome news!!! Hugs to you! x0x
from zenayda :
WHAT?!?!?!?! OMG! Please tell us more. You say "motherhood," so I am assuming this is a welcome and wonderful event?
from zenayda :
Can't blame you on the trepidation, both at work and with the prospect of a parent moving in. But don't stress about the big 4-0. If there is one cool thing about it, it's that you can live how you want to live and very few people will say boo about it to you like they would if you were 25.
from raven72d :
I'd like to permanently cancel all summers here and live only in autumn.
from zenayda :
Wow! You've been through the wringer. Bet you can't wait to be in your own place NOW, boy howdy!
from zenayda :
So exciting to have a new place. I hear you on cooking in your own clean kitchen. I don't cook often, but when I do, I much prefer to do it in my own place, where I know everything is and the counter space is as I want it.
from zenayda :
Oh. Oh, no. No, no, no. No. Nuh-uh. Nope. Grrrrr... (Which is my way of saying I'd have been livid with your man for that, too. Hell, I'd have dumped mine then and there. That's planning to cheat.)
from raven72d :
Pretenders doing "Middle of the Road"?? Ah, now--- memories!
from curious-me :
Just to add my 2 cents I totally think you are doing the right thing by moving and living on your own right now. My first thought when you said he wanted to move in together was "WTH? Already??" If it doesn't feel right listen to your gut! Relationships are work and there will always be compromise but above all they should be FUN. Congrats on your new place, I can't wait to hear all about it!
from retro-cat :
Wow, hope you got your power back on! Yeaaaaa..girl power! Ball-busters..i like that word! :)
from zenayda :
Sorry to hear of the staffing changes at your job. I hope it doesn't affect your work and responsibilities. You just got there!
from retro-cat :
thanks sooo much for the advice! so far i haven't heard from him for days *fingers crossed* that he got the message. hugs :)
from retro-cat :
i need your help. i've already spoken to a friend of mine but she doesn't know what to suggest i should do. maybe you can help me? i have a stalker or i think he's a stalker on another website..at first he talked to me about the same music that we like & films, all innocent & friendly, now all of a sudden all he comments on are my pictures which is starting to make me feel uncomfortable. i just found out that he's nearly 60 years old! i looked up his profile page & he lists erotic topiary as one of his favs. & he says that everyone deserves a good spanking now & then & that he likes taking really cold baths etc..he writes really freakin' weird. i don't know what i should do? can you give me some advice or suggestions? i'd really appreciate it. hugs :)

from zenayda :
Good grief with the pen on the furniture. Do these people not watch what their kids are doing? Grrrrrr....
from retro-cat :
Yeah i remember hearing about Daisy Chainsaw around the time when Hole came on the scene & i've been always wanting to get the Eleventeen album of theirs..Daisy Chainsaw did get they're inspirations from GTO, i can see the resemblance when it comes to style.
from zenayda :
Bummer about the hood not arriving in time. So exciting about the new neighborhood, though. Bet you'll settle in quickly. :-)
from curious-me :
Yay! Now those are the entries I missed!
from curious-me :
I can't wait to read all the stories...or rather your adventures of late! ;)
from annanotbob2 :
Wishing you happy times in your new home and work x
from retro-cat :
ahhhh..you're such a sweet girl! thank you so much :)
from annanotbob2 :

from zenayda :
Ah, new starts. Looking forward to reading about your new adventures. My hunch is that good things await!
from raven72d :
The ILL system here is quite good. And the little downtown library branch is small and never crowded. They do love me there, since I keep their usage statistics way up.
from raven72d :
vacation time is always to be hoarded! I so desperately need a week off.

from curious-me :
Yup that was me lol.
from curious-me :
Hello - I've read your blog - I started a few months back and read from the very beginning - I'm one of those crazy ppl who enjoy starting from the beginning! I just got caught up and wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your journal. You write so engagingly and with a lot of passion. I hope you don't mind I added your blog to my 'favourites' here in dland and when you do move (blog sites) I hope to continue reading you! Take care and congrats on the new job!
from raven72d :
congrats on the new job--- and it sounds like a quiet, yet good, St. Patrick's day.
from annanotbob2 :
Oh congratulations!! I am so pleased for you and truly hope you have a more peaceful, appreciative working environment. Big hugs and well done! xxx
from jimbostaxi :
Ty for the notes :0)
from jimbostaxi :
Congrats! :0)
from zenayda :
Congrats! Onward, to an exciting new adventure!
from jimbostaxi :
I would be bouncing off the walls with all that waiting time, is it bad form to contact them and ask them what happened?
from zenayda :
You might want to check the law in your state about breaking your lease. In my state, they have to let you out of the lease, without penalty, if you move more than a certain number of miles to take a new job. And I am SO excited for you!
from zenayda :
Fingers crossed! I hope they call with an offer!
from retro-cat :
Way WAY cool!!!
from jimbostaxi :
Good luck on the interview!
from zenayda :
Yep, I've used WP. I even attempted to move there from here, but it felt too public. I like the community feel of d-land, although I wish comments were a standard feature.
from jimbostaxi :
WP has some cool features I had converted some of my entries awhile back, but missed the old sneaker feeling of DL. :0)
from jimbostaxi :
Hopefully as she moves on with her life and into womanhood she will remember all our little talks and that im here if she needs me, :0)
from raven72d :
I'm so not good at pragmatic pursuits...
from zenayda :
Oh, yes. A hotel would be well worth the money, just for your own sanity. Also, I just saw your comment from a few weeks ago. Yep, parrots bond very tightly with their people, and they have tremendous personalities of their own. They're like dealing with a two-year-old who never grows up. But that's why I love them. :-)
from jimbostaxi :
Always wear protection when riding a biker,,,,,oh im sorry I mean bike. Those Helmets are important for adrenaline pact rides. :0) stay safe !
from raven72d :
So, now--- what are your perfume and cologne memories? Fastcase is quick and easy, and lots of state bars offer it free to members.
from raven72d :
I've been using Fastcase and Lexis. I'll have to see what Westlaw does now... What I wonder is what its interfaces look like in, say, Britain. I've been an adjunct lecturer, but, alas, budget cuts and the financial meltdown have led even the 2-yr. colleges to cut back on adjuncts and just make regualr faculty teach larger (and sometimes more) classes.
from jimbostaxi :
Trent Reznor quote= feelings for Felipe correct?
from jimbostaxi :
Crash test librarian i love that line :0)
from retro-cat :
thank you so much..i will definitely look up the recipe for Cuban black beans & rice..it sounds so yummy!! :)
from raven72d :
The trip at least sounds fun!
from raven72d :
so how is life in 2013?
from zenayda :
OMG, what a consummate ass. Really. I have a mental image of Liesure Suit Larry. Ugh.
from jimbostaxi :
That sucks that he did that to you and ruined your adventure ;0( what a douche bag!
from jimbostaxi :
Lol lol excuse me but I lost a couple of quarters while copying porn may I have a refund? :0)
from retro-cat :
I love ELO so much too! Awesome that you're getting them on mp3!:) Good-luck on getting that job, i wish i knew how to speak fluent Spanish, i love that language the most!
from raven72d :
ah, now...statistics...

from jimbostaxi :
Ty for the note:0) Im trying to keep my cool but its not easy!! And good luck on your interview !!
from raven72d :
Good luck on the job interview! I hope things are going well in '13 so far.
from jimbostaxi :
Ty for the note :0), Unfortunately obnoxious drunks never know when to calm down, and the next question is usually about drugs or penis so i try not to encourage most of them, ;0)
from annanotbob2 :
xxxxxx
from jimbostaxi :
Hope you feel better soon!;0)
from zenayda :
Yikes! I hope you feel better. And actually, yes, sea air helps!
from jimbostaxi :
:0) ty for the note! I was gone for awhille but I missed all you guys on Diaryland so now im baaack :0)
from retro-cat :
Feliz Navidad to you & your Family! Hope you all have a Fabulous New Year with Health & Happiness! btw, the Hungarian X-Mas cheer is Boldog Karacsony (not sure if i spelt it right, lol, my Hungarian is soo bad.)
from raven72d :
Mais oui.
from raven72d :
I'm down Crescent City way.
from zenayda :
Dang straight those student loans were a good investment! :-)
from papotheclown :
You're quite welcome. I think they are pretty good thoughts myself. Thank you for reading.
from zenayda :
Maybe what he said about "building up to it" is his way of saying that he understands and is willing to wait until if and when you are comfortable, and not "this MUST eventually be." Don't get me wrong: If you are creeped out and it has changed your feelings, then there's no sense in staying with him. Just that maybe he's flexible on it and it's not a requirement, but more of an "I like this thing and hope that when we're more comfortable and know each other better, you might be open to trying it."
from annanotbob2 :
Hiya hon, this is a belated reply to your comment about The Artist's Way - your connection was spot on. I've done A's Way as a course (chapter a week, homework of going on artists' date and morning pages - brilliant!) and the way she gets you thinking about things people have said that make you feel diminished in your creativity is a perfect prelude to CBT as it's THE SAME!! So I arrived at CBT knowing for a fact that it works. That Brian sounds a pig - you deserve FAR better than him. Jesus, doesn't the guy know how lucky he is that you're spending time with him! xxx
from zenayda :
Loved that entry about the crazy times of youth. Isn't it funny how short memories are once one becomes a parent? ;-)
from zenayda :
I've locked up. I think you already have the user name/password combo from the last time, but if you no longer have it and you're interested, please drop a line to: beltway belle AT yahoo dot com (closing up all the spaces and using the correct punctuation, of course). I just feel safer that way, and when I feel safe, I write more. Real entries, for a change! Starting over from October onward.
from zenayda :
I am a bird fanatic, so it gives me extra joy to see others stop and appreciate avian beauty.
from annanotbob2 :
I've had that feeling of lightness after ending a bad relationship. Good for you! xx
from raven72d :
It can be done in the stacks, certainly. But discretion is always key. Sterling was six floors plus six mezzanine levels, all with dark and gloomy internal stairways. You just had to pick your time and floor.
from zenayda :
I hope your note to him sticks, too. Time to move on!
from retro-cat :
Yes i've been to NYC before but that was when i was very very little. The Modern Art Museum is definitely on top of my list of places to see.
from zenayda :
I went through "pre-grieving" with my mother. What the therapist says makes sense. Hugs!
from retro-cat :
Happy Birthday to ya!
from zenayda :
Happy birthday! I like your moxie. ;-)
from zenayda :
Your grandpa certainly was a handsome man. A season's turning. I like that. But I can't come close to guessing which item on the list is true.
from raven72d :
Good entries. Glad I found these pages here on a rainy saturday.
from zenayda :
Ugh! More dreams in common. Nothing like dreaming you're back at a school from which you have long since graduated. I hear you on the family upheaval, too. Also, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your writing. Not long ago, I read something somewhere that said "the long form is dead." No, it's not! We shall rise again!
from zenayda :
Ugh! I hate dreams like that, with the undocumented workers barging in! Yep, I would think it had something to do with not wanting my space invaded, too.
from annanotbob2 :
This Brit knows you write the truth. xxx
from annanotbob2 :
Abrazos, amiga xx
from zenayda :
Florida. My niece lived there with her hub and kids. My sister moved there. Now my niece is in Maryland and my sister is back in New York. I'd say of the 50s states, Florida is in the top 5 Most Screwed Up, so I can appreciate your anxiety, especially if you're a civil servant.
from lostasyou :
I don't know why it's taken me so long to put you on my list, I'm so rude! You're going on now, and thanks so much for being so nice.
from zenayda :
Last paragraph of your May 24th entry... Wow, you nailed it. I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like your grandfather was a wonderful man.
from retro-cat :
hahahaha..that picture is sooo awesome!!!!! i've only ever saw the 1st friday the 13th film.
from zenayda :
So sorry to hear about your grandfather. Isn't it something, how people just flap about helplessly when someone who has been strong for them is at his most vulnerable? I hope they pull themselves together long enough to do what's right.
from retro-cat :
I'm so sorry to hear that your grandfather is not well. Yes, i can understand about the chaos & everything that goes with it..its never easy. I pray for your grandfather.
from retro-cat :
I enjoyed reading your best times of your life! Yeah my classmates were all b***** too! I hated doing speeches in front of them.
from zenayda :
Heh, yeah. I have a mirror journal on LJ. Forgot to tell you about that. Same stuff as here. I just have friends in both places.
from zenayda :
Oh my good grief. How utterly awful and disastrous for your sister, indeed, your whole family. Sending healing thoughts.
from retro-cat :
yup :) been looking for that film for eons, i think its the jessica lange version..i do have coal miner's daughter & beverly d'angelo gave a good enough portrayal of patsy.
from zenayda :
Check your email for super-duper top secret info. Also, are you still using your Echo? Not sure if I should comment there or just stick to your notes.
from gr8legs :
thank you for the note you left me. it really touched me and is encouraging me to look at myself and my life in another way. luvhugs!
from zenayda :
Ah, yes, the music swap. My other half is an audiophile. One year for xmas he gave me an external drive with a ton of music, half of which I am too fusty to be familiar with. So the other night he said, "I need to borrow your drive. There's something I want to put on it for you." I'm scared.
from zenayda :
Howdy! I've been reading for about a week and thought it only appropriate that I delurk. Would it be okay to add you to my buddylist? I promise I won't mess up all your cupboards.
from annanotbob2 :
OK, you sold it. I'm booking a spa day for myself tomorrow! Glad you had such a good chill out xx
from retro-cat :
oh okay, i looked her up, she's a voodoo queen, how awesome! i'd looove to visit her shop!!
from retro-cat :
Yeah you would think they would be in New Orleans, but unfortunately, they are in Portland..check out their website, its sooo awesome..http://voodoodoughnut.com/index.php. And who on earth is Marie Laveau??
from retro-cat :
Gracias mucho mia amiga!! :)
from retro-cat :
I'm glad to hear that your friend is turning his life around, sounds like he's going through a lot of stuff.
from annanotbob2 :
Bloody hell - I find it so hard to imagine a world where a police officer suggests you get a gun. It's just surreal and scary and I'm glad you said no. Have a good week xx
from retro-cat :
yay!!!:) i've been rockin' out with the 80s in the car all week. i really miss "That 80s Show"!
from grimm0826 :
I really like Dusty Springfield, and I LOVE karaoke! I have a black belt in it, as a matter of fact. I haven't been to a bar in over eight years, but it used to be like this: if I went to sing karaoke, and if they had the right songs, I would drink free all night. People would send me pitchers of beer! And before you ask, no, I wasn't singing in a gay bar. :-) Can you sing Dusty convincingly? I'm impressed that you had the crowd singing along on Brown Eyed Girl. That takes talent, in a karaoke place!
from annanotbob2 :
You rock! xxx
from retro-cat :
I miss rollerskating rinks too! We're not having much of a winter here in niagara, its basically rainy, mild & no snow..yay :)
from retro-cat :
Happy New Year to you too! *hugs*
from grimm0826 :
(seems like everywhere i go, stepfordtart has been there before me...do great minds think alike?) Hi there! I just found your page, and I must say, I'm intrigued. Hope you don't mind if I lurk - er, look - around. I'll be adding you as a favorite in a minute. Regards from The Grimm One!
from invisibledon :
lucky you off until next year, color me jealous about all the free time. Enjoy the holidays
from stepfordtart :
I love the idea of the wish tree - Ive never heard of that before. Lots of organisations here ask for donations for needy children but Im really keen on the idea that the child gets to choose something. My 11 year old loves mosaic kits and I have an image of some other girly enjoying them too, now. *feels fuzzy* s x
from annanotbob2 :
Big hugs. You are doing fab and I'M SURE you can beat this thing. I have, after fucking YEARS of weeping and fretting. Not that I don't feel it, but that I can let it pass, quickly, and it's gone. xxxx
from annanotbob2 :
hugs xxx
from annanotbob2 :
Thanks for your comment. Don't think those emotions have to stay with you and certainly not that they make who you are. xxx
from retro-cat :
hahaha..that cheered me up!
from julymalaise :
Well, I love the colors and the photo as well, it is very chic. And I feel your pain, it's a shame that there aren't any design websites for your journal. It sucks completely. And hey, I like Gabriel Garcia Marquez as well. "Love in the Time of Cholera" is wonderful!
from julymalaise :
Wow, I really like your journal design!! What website did you get it from?
from annanotbob2 :
Ha ha! I did exactly the same with The Depression Workbook - I now own two copies because I couldn't see the one on my bedside table! For me the thing that made the biggest change with the old distorted thinking was writing it all down - filling out their charts (well, a million copies of them). I'd read about it loads of times, but writing it down reached my brain! Hurrah for us and our determination not to be too mental! Hugs xxx
from annanotbob2 :
Do you know the book 'Mind Over Mood?' A lot of the group work I did was based on that and I'd really recommend it - not as a quick fix, but as a slow and steady way of sorting out the demons. Love and hugs xxx
from annanotbob2 :
Hiya hon, There used to be a dog whisperer guy on TV and it was almost always down to getting enough exercise - if they've walked/run enough they'll sleep for bloody hours. Such a sweet little dog! xxx
from annanotbob :
happy birthday! xxx
from retro-cat :
thanks :) *hugs*
from retro-cat :
hola amiga! that curandera sounds wonderful! its great that she is giving you a lot of positive insight. i have druid animal cards that seem to help me a lot lately.
from annanotbob :
From what you have said, not going sounds like a good, healthy choice, if a bit sad. I hope you can go somewhere else instead. Your secret spot to sit sounds lovely! xxx
from annanotbob :
I think happy and single scares people, especially those who are clinging to some godawful relationship. I'm single too, after years of that and although it gets lonely at times it's better than the loneliness of lying in bed next to someone who doesn't 'get' you. Love 'que sera sera'! Hugs x
from glorycloud :
We live in Holland Michigan which is in Ottawa County.
from retro-cat :
oh and your latest entry makes me want to see "amelie" again, i haven't watched that film in ages.
from retro-cat :
thank you.
from annanotbob :
Love your Marley! so jealous. Am adding your diary. Good luck with your recovery, best wishes Anna xx
from alienamiss :
Hey, you. I'm pretty good -- lots of ups and downs, but a-okay, for the most part.
from retro-cat :
oh, i was wondering if you are a gold member here, becuz a friend of mine would like to join diaryland, but i can't give her an invite becuz i don't have a paid account, i don't know if you could help?
from retro-cat :
oh yessss, i did wear a huge plastic tiara :)
from retro-cat :
thank you sooooooo much!!! :):):)
from retro-cat :
that house by the lake is gorgeous!!! i wish i lived in something like that!
from retro-cat :
yeah ive had similar situations with boys too, they end up being married or gay or actually have multiple girlfriends..yeeesh! or this one time this guy was flirting with me in the restaurant while his wife was sitting right beside him! eep! very embarrassing.
from retro-cat :
yeah i know, puppies are soo irresistable!!! i justed wanted to be in the middle of that puppy bowl and hug them all!
from retro-cat :
thanks :) we're supposed to be getting another car tomorrow, fingers crossed! so sorry to hear about your uncle! hugs to you! its never easy losing people you love so much. also sorry to hear about your friend, i hope he will be all right!
from retro-cat :
so sorry to hear about your Uncle Cowboy, hope he will be fine!! does he wear cowboy hats? cowboys rule!! my dad loved cowboy films, wore cowboy hat, and sang country music.
from retro-cat :
that is wonderful that you have set goals for yourself..im still sorting through mine.
from retro-cat :
oh wow, thank you so much :):) i used to have lots of people telling me i look like drew.
from retro-cat :
hope you are having a wonderful time during the holidays!! where did you used to ice-skate in ontario? we used to skate on the rideau canal in ottawa, i miss that a lot!
from retro-cat :
ohhhhhh you made me soo hungry!! i <3 Mexican rice!!!
from retro-cat :
At first glance, i thought it was the girl gang in the film "The Warriors" which is a 1979 film i think so it can't be that one. The pic looks familiar though, which film is it?
from retro-cat :
Okay!!! :) we must check out those groovy Mary Quant clothing, and also go to a Beatles concert when they were the Fab Four :) i'll start packing!
from retro-cat :
I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt Roxie!! She sounded like a wonderful person with all the warm and happy memories you have of her. I send you love and hugs.
from retro-cat :
foxy wresting in a mud pit..LOL! good-luck to you with your sister and mom, hope you have a fab time during Thanksgiving..ours is next weekend, gawd time flies so fast. no its okay that you found it funny, coz as i grew up, when i look back on these sorts of disastrous times, i can really laugh about them now, but back then, i was really naive and didn't know much about the real world so anything like that really scared the pants off of me. Its a miracle that she wasn't HIV positive, she was only 15 years old and was having sex with over 50 men twice her age! She was very lucky.
from retro-cat :
i enjoyed reading about your memories of Detroit. at some point in my life, i wanted soo much to see Detroit, Michigan, i think it was after seeing a Michael Moore film or was it a Was Not Was video..i just thought Detroit was the place to be. I don't miss much of the city i grew up in, it was boring with a capital B, not much to do after they closed down all the rollerskating rinks except hang out at the mall. I have to laugh at the Hungarian moustached men, reminds me of a childhood book of mine "Janos Vitez". Noone in my family had one of those moustaches, my cousin when he used to play soccer, he looked exactly like Carlos Puyol, now as he aged, he looks like Sonny Bono.haha.
from killsoft :
skeet skeet
from retro-cat :
oh wow, a baby! i would be totally scared. I've often wandered what it would be like to be rich and adopt as many needy children i could like Mia Farrow, i wish i could do that! i would be like a Nanny McPhee :) Anyways, i will still be updating my journal here, my livejournal addy is www.livejournal.com/users/hipdipcat Maybe you can join there too?
from retro-cat :
which magnet did you get? yeah kids are hilarious! i like that buzz lightyear motto and good-luck to you in your work!
from retro-cat :
this is what i need right now, a mountain hippie retreat!! i'm very close to a nervous breakdown.
from retro-cat :
She hasn't disturbed us for a few days now which is great! We got a lot of things done around the house, been gardening last night and when i was pulling out some weeds, a small black bug got on me and bit me in 2 places, scared the crap outta me! i'm okay today, thankfully the bug was harmless. its soo hot over here, don't feel like doing much.
from retro-cat :
How is the moving going? hope you will have a wonderful time in your new place, i wish you all the best sweetie!
from retro-cat :
if only i didn't have a terrifying fear of flying, i'd be out of here in a flash and never come back!!!! there's stuff happening that is just getting to my nerves, i'm very close to having a nervous breakdown and it has to do with a certain woman who is trying to help us but she's really not, she's always bringing her kids around and she's always here practically every day disturbing us and her kids are running all over the place and i have a bad migraine and trying to rest and its just getting to me!!!!!! argggggg..if you would be here, you'd know what i mean and you'd think the same thing that this woman just doesn't know when to stop!
from retro-cat :
ohmigosh, i've been gone a long while haven't i, i just read about your crutches, what on earth happened?? oh sweetie i hope you get better soon, hugs to ya!! :) yess, i love vintage cars loads and you are right, i'd definitely want to drive around in a VW beetlebug..groovy!!
from bibles :
Hope you feel better soon!
from retro-cat :
Thanks :) yeah the Beatles one is funny. i still draw and have my paintings all over the place, my friends keep telling me to open up an art gallery..yeah i wish i had the moolah to do that.
from retro-cat :
Awwwww..i can't believe it that you would be cut-off and ignored..you are too wonderful a person to have that happen to you! Hugs to ya!
from retro-cat :
Thank you so much sweetie, everything you wrote is exactly how it was, its very hard becuz we are such a close-knit family and its always been the three of us. It meant a lot to me what you wrote, thank you and hugs to ya!
from retro-cat :
Oh wow, i saw those films too at the drive-in back in the 80s..yup, it was the cheapest way to see films then and actually still is over here, i loove Thursdays car-load night coz you can get everyone in for $15 bucks. I miss the 80s though, we used to go with my dog Benji and he'd love it too. I remember seeing "The Blues Brothers", "Desperately Seeking Susan", "The Freshman" etc..sooo much fun back then!!! There used to be bigger turn-outs and the popcorn was cheaper too. There wasn't any cool area with a trampoline, but there were some fun playgrounds and there were always cartoons before the film began like Pink Panther, Yogi Bear & Mr.Magoo. They still kept the retro circus of food commercial during break, the one with the hot dog doing back flips always cracks me up.
from retro-cat :
Hola! I went to the drive-in too this weekend..how cool!! So which films did you see?
from retro-cat :
Muchas gracias amiga :) And i wish you all the luck in your job search!
from retro-cat :
Thank you, sweetie :) Oh, i love what you wrote about Ireland producing quality men..i work with one..ooooh, i'd like to put my hands on him..heh!
from retro-cat :
heh..i always listen to amy winehouse when i'm angry at the opposite sex. "love is the alpha & the omega" would make a really great tattoo!! i was thinking of getting a great big monarch butterfly on my leg but yeah,i'm also very scared of needles.
from retro-cat :
Loooove Adam Ant!! A picture of Donnie Osmond dressed up as him in Dancing With the Stars just popped into my brain..that was one of the dances i liked the most on that show.
from retro-cat :
Loved all those sweet pictures of Marley!! My dog used to sit inside my lap too and now my cat does the same thing..i love it when they cuddle like that! I haven't been to Budapest in eons, we miss that place a lot, that is where my mom was born.
from retro-cat :
Its always fun to decorate..i didn't know that Ikea has rustic themed posters..i haven't been there for ages. I would love to see a picture of Marley, he sounds like a sweet doggie!
from retro-cat :
Hiya! I don't know if you remember me but i used to be studio-66 and i some how lost sight of ya. I'm happy that you are still on here, anyways i have added you to my new page. Take Care!
from annanotbob :
I'm in the UK, on the south coast! Not Canadian at all x
from annanotbob :
I used to hitch hike all the time, but no one does any more. I wonder why. I like your diary. Best wishes
from swimmmer72 :
No idea where they got my number - the scary part is that any time you make a transaction, you are trusting the person/company you are making it with to handle that information securely and it is WAY too easy to abuse that trust. Right now, no real damage to me but it makes me wonder what else "they" may have gotten into. I'll be changing passwords over the next couple days.
from lostgrl26 :
just stopping by to say hello. I have not been on DL for ages... hope all is well
from swimmmer72 :
Wow, HH, that's an excellent idea! I didn't think of that. I'm not sure there IS a local paper or if she reads it, but if there is and she does, it would most likely be such a small paper, she couldn't help but notice my little ad! I know exactly what it would say! Hmmm... you got my brain thinking outside of the box again! Thanks for the idea! :)
from swimmmer72 :
As this was my first really big trip, I wasn't as organized and detailed as I am now, but yes, I did have notes about the type of day, mileage, stops, hikes, expenditures, pictures taken, physical aches and pains, weight; supplemented by a pretty accurate memory. AND, if that doesn't sound anal enough, I do all that and more with current trips! If I had the chance (which I probably will someday) I'd do it again in a heartbeat. :)
from swimmmer72 :
Wow, that was a very precise (and concise! :))analogy of what I've been thinking about! Well put, HH, you definitely have a handle on the mood du jour! :)
from swimmmer72 :
I'm scouring new parts sites first, then I'll get into junk yards. I'm not optimistic about junk yards unless they are part of a network since there never were a lot of Supras in this area. In time, I think I'll find something, but I'm going to have to deal with how difficult it's going to be, at least until I find some good sources. And yes, I agree - twitter is definitely a time-limited fad and it's only a matter of time before something else comes along. :)
from diamondsky :
Big **sigh** indeed. Hmmph.
from swimmmer72 :
I do have an "Ithaca in winter" trip planned - the first since college. The idea to make it into a story? I hadn't thought about it, but it's a good idea. I'll definitely get a bunch of pictures - maybe black and white would work - and I already have an idea for the story-start. I'll just have to figure out if I can come up with a "new" angle. Thanks for the comment, HH! :)
from swimmmer72 :
Nope, no NaNo, just an idea that popped into my head. I'd gotten into a "dry spell" with nothing going on worth writing about and no lightbulbs pumping any inspiration into my brain. Whilst daydreaming at work, this suddenly occurred to me as a way to put some new pics up, if nothing else. :)
from dogbones :
Want to draw attention to your diary? Check me out! I can help! If you don't then ignore this note and just think of it as a Kudos ;)
from swimmmer72 :
It's fine with me. In fact, let's go one better. If you ever get up this direction, let me know and you can come along. There are lots of places I could show you and you wouldn't have to live vicariously through anyone but yourself! In the meantime, we can both imagine you are there, too! ;)
from onefinemess :
Omg, I'm also shocked someone else has such a *similar* situation to mine. WOW.. I thought I was pretty much alone in that! Pls know that I **completely** understand what you're going through, and I sympathise!!! Hang in there <3
from swimmmer72 :
I USED to hitch-hike all the time, college years primarily. Had good rides, interesting rides, scary rides and rides that took me WAY off the intended path. Later, when I finally had wheels of my own, I'd give rides. Both od those situations ended a long time ago, mostly because the front seat of my car is always filled with stuff. Yeah, for you, I'd make room, and if I happen to be in a "big-ass mobile unit" at that point, we can take turns with the cooking. ;)
from swimmmer72 :
Re: song. Yes, "On the road again" is a perfect choice. I'd throw in Dixie Chicks "Wide Open Spaces" as well. In fact, I have a CD with both these songs and others that I throw in to start any of my LONG trips. If I ever see you HITCHHIKING, you have a ride wherever you want to go! ;)
from diamondsky :
Just caught up on some of your entries. Sorry Cates turned out to be such a jerk! at least you got out of it before it turned really ugly, eh?
from swimmmer72 :
From what I've seen of Florida, it's filled with transient people - came from somewhere else, going somewhere else soon. It doesn't make for good relationships. Erie isn't exactly midwest, and I've only been here ten years, but I finally can see some of the roots growing that took a lifetime to develop in Buffalo. So, what I'm saying is that I understand the old relationship thing (even though memory wears rose tinted glasses) and how hard it is to get something going in a new location. Good luck! :)
from swimmmer72 :
That is Watkins Glen State Park, in Watkins Glen, NY, about 250 miles to the northeast from where I live in Erie. It is part of a group of 4 state parks in the Finger Lakes area that are among the best I've ever been to. If you ever get up this way, you should check it out! :)
from swimmmer72 :
The speakers in my '87 Supra were original equipment, so you can imagine just how bad they were. I put a cd player in 3 years ago, but never set aside $$ for speakers too. Not only were the speakers less than they should have been, but their location sucked, too, which made replacement a pain with limited options. I've been thinking about it for years and now it's done. Yeah, definitely worth it! Is that you in the picture?
from swimmmer72 :
Thanks for the comment! Yep, no hurricanes! No tornadoes, no earthquakes, no floods, no volcanos, just snow about 5 months out of the year, but all we have to do with that is sit it out and wait until it melts. I have to admit, despite the rap winter gets up here in the northeast, it really isn't that bad and summer and fall more than make up for it! Moving into the new place yet? I bet you'll have a busy weekend! :)
from swimmmer72 :
You are very welcome - thanks back at ya! I'm just getting started on your stories, but they are interesting so far! :)
from diamondsky :
Thanks for the congratulations!! It's such a relief =)
from dinosaurorgy :

Oh man! Thank you for uploading the "Singin' in the Rain" video--it made my day! Thanks for also commenting on my blog. I DID put up the Christmas tree. Expect a picture soon!
from narami :
OMG I'm SO SORRY, I almost plugged this on the other journal and it was an honest mistake. I had no idea which journal was which, but I know that should never happen; my sincere apologies. I deleted the comment just in case.

Hi, just dropped by. I wish I knew someone named Roman. Love that name.
from dinosaurorgy :
Likewise -- didn't work for me, either. Should I try again? (If not, I'm dinahsore on hotmail.)
from diamondsky :
I tried emailing you and it didn't work. :( Try sending me a message at thisdiamondsky . gmail . com
from diamondsky :
Eeee! You're back!!! I've missed you and look forward to reading your diary again. :D
from narami :
Q1. What is the coolest things you've read about in my diary? Q2. What is the saddest thing you've read here? a dysfuntional relationship with your family. Q3. Who is your favorite character (if you don't know names, then describe him or her... don't say "Hitch-hike" cause you must like something about me if you keep reading!). I think he was your former boyfriend, the really nice guy, the one that was described as ... too clingy? I liked him. Q4. What is the funniest thing you can recall I've written? I think it was an entry where you were basically directing the post to your boss... or someone at work? you were going at them and it was just funny. Q5. Is there anything you've really gained from reading? Loads. You write often about how it things work in your workplace, and sometimes in your city, I've gained that perspective. Plus all that one can learn from someone's elses living.
from lostgrl26 :
in respond to the 2/1 entry. I understand completely how you feel. Sometimes you want it all but when you seem to get it, it becomes scary. I have also tended to isolate myself because it's safer and you don't risk the hurt, but it's lonely. I think you have to really get to the point where you decide it's worth it to take the risk of being hurt again- I did and I feel so much better about it.
from diamondsky :
Therapy in the front lawn? :D This is why I'm a horticulture major! I find therapy in every plant. I'm taking class on herbaceous perennials (flowers!) this semester, and I'm pumped! Best of luck to you, and here's hoping for a beautiful yard!
from studio-66 :
Hiya, just a quickie to wish you a very Groovy Christmas & a Healthy & Happy New Year!! Luv; Julia
from lasvegasliz :
well, Drawn Together is a cartoon so it was probably easy to change the words, they just changed it in between when I did the captions and when they aired the show. I got into the job because they advertised for it in the paper, and they required a journalism degree and I had that so I applied. It's good stuff :)
from dinosaurorgy :
Actually, I HAVE read a little bit about his life.
from studio-66 :
hahahaha..yup i would've been in a tizzy! im actually going thrifting tomorrow, something is still missing from my halloween costume. i'm going to be a 60s vampire girl, but its not as groovy as your costume though! JOan Jett rules!!!!!!
from dinosaurorgy :
Oo, well if you ever write it, tell me. (It sounds like you might have a few ideas about mistaken/changed identities, maybe?)
from studio-66 :
when i was still in Ottawa, there would lots of Italian festival on Preston Avenue..they'd block off the whole street for festivities..it was called the Francophone Festival (im not sure if i spelled it right)..thats the street where all the Italian restaurants & shops were located (mmmmmm..cannolli!!). I love Little Italy in Toronto..so full of life!
from dinosaurorgy :
Yeah, I was really bored one night.
from tuff517 :
Hey! I didn't get that email you sent about Huston Curtiss? It might've gone to my junk folder. I can't believe that the only information on him is that he wrote a book. It's killing me!
from dinosaurorgy :
^__^ well hey, about the name thing, I think that it's kinda interesting because it gave me a chance to swap a few notes with you.
from dinosaurorgy :
Just out of town, to visit my aunt.
from lostgrl26 :
Wow, I had no idea you were in Boston, if I knew I would have let you know some hot spots, that's where I'm from. I hope you enjoyed your stay there.
from dinosaurorgy :

Hi, thanks for the note. I found you a few days ago from the recently updated list. You were writing about depression and it made a kind of connection for me. :)
from studio-66 :
awww..thank you for wishing me that :) i wish you a great Thanksgiving! Have a lot of fun!
from studio-66 :
oh wow! i do the exact same thing too!! i love pet stores & toy stores..i can spend hours inside Toys R Us! i also love candy stores too. I actually have a Raggedy Andy doll which i was so happy to find in a thrift shop. You sound so much like me! :)
from studio-66 :
yeah i agree..i smile more than frown too. when i met up with a penpal of mine a year ago, we were walking & shopping around & she kept on asking me "why are you so bubbly & smiley all the time?" i always thought there was something wrong with me coz thats not the first time someone had told me that before. i cant help it, im just a happy person. :)
from studio-66 :
#12 makes me wish that there were more people like you and me in the world! :)
from studio-66 :
its good to have differences..makes a relationship more interesting. i had the unfortunate encounter with a guy who was so much like me (had so much in common that we couldn't believe it), that it didnt work out at all. i was very very emotionally pained! as the saying goes.."when something is too good to be true, it most likely isn't".
from studio-66 :
hiya..how long has it been since you've been to Niagara Falls?
from studio-66 :
oh yeah that aha guy..i forget his name? was it Martin or Morten? mmmmm..upside down pineapple cake..that sounds like heaven!
from studio-66 :

from studio-66 :
awwww..thanks sweetie! :)
from laurie2002 :
I read a lot of your diary today. It is very interesting, and I will be back!
from studio-66 :
ohmigod, you live in Florida?? i looove it there!! i miss it soo much! we used to drive all the way from Ottawa during the Christmas holidays in the early 90s & we'd go through Pennsylvania, Syracuse, gorgeous Tennessee etc. We'd stay at a hotel with friends at the Granada Inn in Daytona Beach. I've been told that the hotel is long gone now. Florida is just one of the most beautiful spots in the US! Lucky girl to live there!! Yes, Tim Horton's has the best pastries & if there was a way to mail you their coffee i would. My fav. from them is actually their toffee glazed donuts..it just melts in your mouth!! If ever you get near a Timmys, you've got to try that! :)
from studio-66 :
I loved reading how much the world has changed for the worse! Yes, i remember in the 80s, i've never even heard of school shootings or condom dispensers in the washrooms!! I felt safe going to school..its bad for the kids these days, they not only have to worry about getting bad grades, peer pressure, & small trivial things, but now they have to wonder when a student is going to come to school with a rifle! In a way, im soo happy im not in school anymore!
from studio-66 :
that guy is beyond cute!!! i'd definitely would have him as a housemate!!!!!!
from studio-66 :
thank you, sweetie!! :)

But what do you do if you just can't let it fade? xoxo Kathy
from krugerpak007 :
Hi again. Another thing I wanted to add is, that you probably would find that with your partner knowing, life becomes much easier, since you can talk to someone about it, and get help. My husband is really amazing. He listens and helps and encourages.... Good luck! And feel good. xooxo Kathy
