hey, don't knock it til you've tried it. calietne! missing, loving, smooching you.
from ohio21boy :
I'm staying at The Pelican, which looks cute. The website looks cute, at least. It's on ocean drive. I'll be there until Monday.
from blankwave :
i need to send you a copy of "too soon..." the cd his fans and family put out with all of the b-sides and unreleased tracks. also, there is an almost finished second lp that they want to release someday. you'll need to email me your address or we could grab a beer sometime.
from blankwave :
have fun at goldie lookin chain tonight!
from blankwave :
So many good shows coming up. Somehow I missed that note you left me. Can't wait for Embrace on Monday. You like the new doves album?
from blankwave :
hope everything is alright now. noticed you'd been a bit quiet. be well.
from blankwave :
you have to buy a ticket to see embrace at the bowery ballroom on march 14th. YOU MUST!
from ohio21boy :
thanks for the music! Some of the songs I know, some I don't, all of them I love! I owe you one...
from blankwave :
i'll see if i can name it once i get to it. i got a lot of listening to do. loved a, love love love b. hottt!
from blankwave :
okay, you're taking over my friday, which is fine, cause work sucks. with that said, i think i can answer your trivia ?: i think it's they are samples from kim carnes - 'bettie davis' eyes' and then boy meets girl's - 'waiting for a star to fall'. yep. i'm diggin' into hot side hot b right now, and it's in the headset, so no one else can hear it. thanks for the warning!
from blankwave :
I got the cd's in the mail today! can't wait to go home and give it a listening. I plan to just listen first w/o looking a track names. Awesome. I really gotta think of a project I can share too.
from ohio21boy :
one order, sent to chicago, please. :) e-mail me for the address. [email protected]
from blankwave :
5 discs eh? so do you ever post the track list, or is this "orders only"
from ohio21boy :
yes, it happened in chicago... now it's all beginning to make sense to me.
from ohio21boy :
yeah chicago was an easy move. so far, it's not too bad. I totally know what you mean about the gay bars, though. man. I'll find the hipsters in this city, dammit. They have to be here somewhere...
from blankwave :
i initially read your entry as, "each new day, a new bagel engaged," which made absolutely no sense once i got to the link.
from menderz :
I just saw a "Where are they now" thing last night, it was Samantha Fox... totally reminded me of you. (She scares me now...)
from fulminous :
I went through a giant pile of CDs in my room a while ago (in order to facilitate filling of the iPod) and came across "Aural Crack." I just have to say that you, sir, can make a god damn mix CD like nobody's business.
from ohio21boy :
Hey. I forgot to tell you, I am loving the CDs sooooo much. Thanks! I owe you one (or three)
from ohio21boy :
of course i don't want to miss the premiere. i'm on the edge of my seat. seriously.
from sooner :
Oh, Finn.
from ohio21boy :
I am so excited for this latest series. I will even tivo it. Now, I just need to go get a tivo...
from seastreet :
Good to have you back. :)
from ohio21boy :
oh man! don't go! BUT if you have to, I understand. You're one of my favorites on here. Good luck and stuff...keep in touch, even...
from ohio21boy :
I know. I have mixed feelings about Chicago, but I'm hoping for the best. Maybe I'm just following in your footsteps. I really do hope New York is next...
from taydo :
Hey there. Thanks for the "Happy Birthday" note! Very kind of you :)
from ohio21boy :
You're right. Shady IS ok sometimes. I have seen that one movie with Reese and Tobey, so I know I would so not want to live a 1950s sit-com. By the way, I love the idea of "gal."
from fulminous :
I *so* have been listening to that song near non-stop for a week. Rock-TASTIC.
from ohio21boy :
OK, yeah. I might have to place an internet order. e-mail me or [email protected]
from ohio21boy :
So what is a sample of the songs that one may find on this "fucking fantastic year-end mix CD???" And what aisle would I find it in at my local record shop?
from ohio21boy :
Cheers to a good new year! I don't know what it is, but I have a good feeling about 2003.
from sooner :
We heart you too, Huck. We heart you too.
from pitty-sing :
I wish someone would leave 37 boxes of terror at my doorstep.
from fulminous :
We can SO bleach you out. Come on, the hair-product knowledge in my household is staggering.
from ohio21boy :
Hey I'm reading Glamorama right now, too. I just started it last week....
from ohio21boy :
Once again, we are on the same page. I have been thinking about that alot this past week. I'm worried that I'm not doing enough creative things and not pursuing my dreams properly. And I can't figure out I'm not doing anything about it. It's nice to know someone else is going through the same thing...Good luck... oh by the way - the Samantha Fox comeback is getting off to a slow start...
from amorphous :
Hey, thanks for noticing....By the Way, I've never officially said, but I really like your name. <crooked grin>
from ohio21boy :
I am so with you. I feel like I have nothing to say, either... Other people seem to be feeling the same way, too. I blame terrorism.
from fulminous :
Hey!!! Go get your solo movie on. No moping about the house for lack of Heaven. Solo moviegoing = good! You remember the Klingon story, right? Maybe you'll see people playing dress-up at your movie too.
from fulminous :
Hate to break it to you...but in a manner clearly going against god and nature, this awful drippy sploppy rain is pretty much what we get here. All winter long. Don't shoot the messenger.
from ohio21boy :
You are so right on with Samantha Fox! Naughty girls DO need love, too. And, apparently, a comeback wouldn't hurt either...
from ohio21boy :
I was thinking Tiffany, too...But with her recent Playboy spread and appearance on "Celebrity" bootcamp, I'm thinking she might be too mainstream. I need someone more obscure who everyone has practically forgotten about.
from ohio21boy :
Thanks for the advice... I have been to both and I think I am much more a no cal boy.I don't think I could ever really live in los angeles, anyway. I hate driving way too much. Plus, I'm not a blonde.
from ohio21boy :
You know what? Once, when I was in NYC, I also saw MTV's Chris Connelly walking on the street with a not so friendly face towards his mobile phone. So, maybe it IS him...
from seastreet :
I am so bitter about totally missing you by a matter of days. Anyway, wishing you equilibrium regained. and as far as the pic, disseminate away! I am not ashamed. By the way, your images don't seem to work most of the time. Thought you should know. TchuB, dahlink...
from ohio21boy :
Thanks for the Emmy support. It would be an honor just to be nominated, really. And to get to be able to hang with Joan and Melissa for a hot second. Still on the hunt for a theme song. Maybe after I purchase Stacy Q's greatest hits this weekend, that problem will be solved. I will single handedly bring back her career by having her sing the theme to my hit show. Oh and by the way... you make me want to move to New York...
from ohio21boy :
I totally remember Stacy Q on 'Facts of Life!!!' I forgot her name was Cinnamon, though. Classic. Didn't she meet Tootie at an audition or something? I'll have to check out the "greatest" "hits" CD. It's probably 'Two of Hearts' another song and about 4 remixes of each one. awwww Stacy Q.... She can sing a medley of her greatest hit...
from ohio21boy :
I like what you have to say about reactions and responses. It is so my life right now. I didn't even really realize it until I read your entry. Thanks. You helped me put some things in perspective...
from andyzero :
Thanks for dropping a line, Finn...I'm actually somewhat amused by my inability to relate to statistics. Whatever that means. Heart you too, Andy
from anx :
They were pulling the same F line re-route shit when _I_ was living in NYC...what's up with THAT? Shows to go ya, j'suppose...
from rlf22 :
guess what i did in anticipation of your arrival? -rlf
from pitty-sing :
I must admit, my bum was rather damp for a bit after, but my nose has been weakened from all the huffing i do. However, my tongue is in tip-top shape...
from thejanechord :
muppets are a-ok, and while beaker does indeed rock, i've always been more partial to statler and waldorf, but perhaps that's just because they're surly like me. can i blame them for how i've turned out? my mother would be so thrilled...
from thejanechord :
wow, thank you. i'm glad my first ever comparison to a cartoon character is a favorable one, cause like, you could have picked mr. peabody or something.
from evetron4000 :
Hello again. I would like to show solidarity by saying that I drew similar New York/Chicago conclusions upon my return from the former. Chicago smells like grass. New York smells like bad Chinese food and motor oil, and there aren't any alleys. Bogus.
from pitty-sing :
I sat down on your top hat and crushed it. I'm sorry, I thought that you liked that sort of thing.
from evetron4000 :
Good afternoon.
from fulminous :
Wait -- is that supposed to be a BAD thing?
from fulminous :
I am NOT a copy monkey! You have not used the word "ilk" since June 11th. It is totally fair game.
from fulminous :
You have something against ilk?
from pitty-sing :
thank you, my burnished chopstick. I like.
from fulminous :
I have not yet come to terms with my new "altern-ability" (you know that DIS-ability is a no-no here at The Clinic) so I refuse to admit that I need a cane. The specialized "wall-sensing" nerves in my forehead and oft-bloody nose, however, are becoming preternaturally acute. I'd heard that your other senses sharpen to compensate when one is lost, but amazing to see it first hand. You were right about one thing, though: I am, in fact, quite hot.
from fulminous :
You are pure, raw, undiluted awesome. I appreciate your concern for my damaged ocular cavities -- yes, The Outfit did in fact burn out my eyeballs entirely, but reading your kind words on my new Braille display gives me hope for the future. A kinder, gentler future where I can grow new eyeballs and never see white shoes worn after Labor Day again.
from fulminous :
It's so empowering to bust the clippers out for use on your own head. I am the master of my hair's destiny! And you, by the way, are a permanent addition to my virtual Tivo.
from sooner :
Your life makes for good television, but the shake up in casting is forming a knot in my stomach. I guess I just really want the main characters to be happy, no matter how it shakes out.
from anx :
My boss likes to check my references in person.
from sooner :
Oh, and Kelly Taylor has stopped hanging out at The Peach Pit and is attending my law school. I sat next to her in Contracts. Now she's engaged to a chef.
from sooner :
Yes, the new design is a delight!
from anx :
pretty pretty.
from smltwn73 :
hey, there's more coachella for you. enjoy, you big lug...
from anx :
from whyihateyou :
I saw what you said and I have been letting it rest hoping I wouldn't hate you, but I can't help it. YOU MADE ME HATE YOU WITH YOUR LIES, YOU PIT STAIN!
from sooner :
Oh, sweet hucksterfinn. Can you tell me, please? Do you have any gum?
from riotnrrd :
you know your diary has made it when it makes me laugh out loud.
from anx :
You just wanted to use the word "cavalcade", didn't you? Ya big cutie.
from evetron4000 :
Glad to know you like my voice (I assume you're referring to my literary voice, not my physical voice, as I don't believe you're tapping my phone... but maybe I'm just naive). Also glad to know other people notice the "nucular" thing. Sometimes I worry I may be severely anal-retentive. And for the record, although Brak is a force to be reckoned with, I'm more of a Zorak kind of girl.
from evetron4000 :
I have to say, the image of you sitting on your bed reading Generation X and struggling against the TV (I'm okay with the marshmallows)is the saddest thought I've had all day. But Ii'm sure it was just temporary; you'll be back on your thoughtful feet in no time. Do you like Shampoo Planet? Keep what up? Happy Monday.
from evetron4000 :
One: I also like Douglas Coupland. A lot. Two: Do you really think Chicago counts as Midwestern?
from blakes29 :
Wow! someone else who likes Xanadu! I paid more for the soundtrack to it than I did for the movies ^^
