Welcome back! It's been complicated, but I'm still here! How are you doing, July!
from raven72d :
You are missed! (15 September 23)
from raven72d :
Congrats and good luck on the job!
from raven72d :
Thanks! I'm just drinking coffee and waiting on the hurricane.
from raven72d :
18 Aug. 21 -- How's life, girl? Haven't seen you around the web in a while!
from raven72d :
I think I saved them so that I can still read you here, but I'm not sure what they are, since I just checked the little "save this password" box when it appeared at your DL.
from raven72d :
Happy New Year, July! I hope things are well!
from englishsucks :
hi there!! can i have access to read your diary? :D my email is [email protected]
from raven72d :
How's your Christmas season going?
from raven72d :
Thinking of you and hoping your autumn is going well.
from raven72d :
I love the photo with your 6 Aug 20 entry!
from raven72d :
Thank, darling! I shall!
from jimbostaxi :
Ok, lay some of those golden poetry verses on us :) I love reading the ones that tug on emotional heartstrings. I had to put I’m fine ”emotionally” in there because “mentally” people might say I’m a mess dreaming of ghost voices. Lol There was more I could have added describing the ghostly voice but I cut it down to the bare minimum. The room is very huge and sooooo freaking dark I guess my mind is flipping out a bit trying to get used to it. 😝
from raven72d :
How's life, girl? Is the summer treating you well?
from loveherwell :
i haven't started the book yet, but the show was sooooo good. i'd recommend it!
from jimbostaxi :
Feel.better! Drink some ginger ale
from jimbostaxi :
Just trying to keep my mind busy so it doesn't wander too much. I had been in my own little world lately but im.back. Thanks again for the notes. You are an awesome individual. :)
from jimbostaxi :
Hey, just dropped by to see how you were doing. Hope all is well.
from raven72d :
I didn't know that about Mike Piazza and the B&S song. Thanks, girl--- I learned something new today!
from jimbostaxi :
I'm holding on by a thread, i had to write that last post even though i said i was gone.,,, all my emotions were welling up inside me and i had to put them somewhere,,,,your notes are greatly aporeciated im so utterly lost,,, thanks!
from jimbostaxi :
Ty for the notes. I'm still numb processing it but I'm sure that I will be in touch.
from raven72d :
I just thought about how long you and I have exchanged notes. That's amazing.
from raven72d :
Glad that things are going okay for you! I always love finding your entries, of course. And as long as D-Land is still around, I'll be around.
from raven72d :
Watched my nephew drive my car away for the last time Sunday evening. Still, I have my eye on a little Honda civic.
from raven72d :
How are things this May?
from jimbostaxi :
Yikes!! getting settled into a new place is hard enough but during a pandemic, it must require a superhuman effort. How are your new surroundings compared to where you were? Things are calm for the moment by me but who knows for how long that will last. :) stay safe!
from jimbostaxi :
Hey, how have you been? It’s crazy now with the virus all around.
from raven72d :
I'm about a fifteen minute walk to work. We're still open, though I thought we'd be closing up til the end of April today. We lock ourselves in the building, so there's no outside contact. Downtown is empty except for "essential" state workers, so I never see anyone when I walk out in the mornings. I may start wearing a shemagh as a face covering, though.
from raven72d :
I'd take a little Civic, though I do think about a small crossover SUV like a Rogue. Used, mind you. Nothing expensive. And it may be a few months before my finances stabilize.
from raven72d :
My car just gave up the ghost, so I worry about keeping a job--- I'll be trying to replace my car soon.
from raven72d :
Two weeks? How are you dealing with cabin fever?
from raven72d :
I'm okay for the moment (22 March 20), just worried about my job and finances. As for you, girl--- do stay safe and take care. Shelter-in-place starts here Monday. What's happening at your end?
from raven72d :
I have lost your p/w... May I get it again?
from raven72d :
Keeping my fingers crossed for you on the job search.
from raven72d :
Dougie Jones is wonderful. I love watching him drink coffee. And I'm glad to hear things are going well with you, July! You've been a good friend for more years than I can count, and I always love hearing from you. How's the job search?
from raven72d :
14 December 19--- Hey, July! How's life? Any Christmas plans?
from moonbaby8u :
Thank you for the nice words....down spiraling is hard sometimes .....access? [email protected]
from raven72d :
03 March 19--- is it snowing where you are? It turned cold her through the day--- cold and wind in out of the NW.
from jimbostaxi :
I’m so sorry about your childhood friend and all the others you’ve lost. I used to not mention anything about heroin in my diary, I used to try to bottle up the suffering I see on a daily basis because I didn’t think anyone would understand. It’s tragic all the people it’s affecting ...
from whaleart :
I'm looking forward to Andrew's changes here, also!! I watched the Ted Bundy Tapes, too -- fascinating.. I've compared my shapeshifting body weight and appearance to him -- I'm not a serial killer, just a chameleon. Turns out he's bipolar, possibly, like me. O__O
from raven72d :
I hope the p/w I sent you works. And glad to hear your Valentine's went well.
from strawberrri :
Ted Bundy tapes is on my to-watch list! Hope you're feeling better soon <3
from cherrygash :
I just started to watch the ted bundy tapes too. Did you see that 20/20 or Nightline special about the BTK killer? He had two kids and one, his daughter is just coming out and talking about it after a decade. It was crazy, i guess she wrote a book too.
from whaleart :
The accounts were Dinosaurorgy snd Alienamiss.
from whaleart :
Welcome back!! I had to reset like 7 emails to find a solo active account of mine. :O I didn't even LIKE this account.. lol.
from raven72d :
Ack! I do recall you sending me a p/w! Now I'll just have to track down where it is!
from raven72d :
How is life?
from raven72d :
You're now p/w protected?
from raven72d :
Duck fat fries are game changing. Duck itself is...well...it has to be cooked just right, or it's a bit...heavy and greasy tasting.
from raven72d :
BK fries tend to be undercooked and bland. The best fries are...hmmm...maybe Arbys. I like duck-fat fries, mind you.
from strawberrri :
[email protected] - can I have your password please dear? :)
from raven72d :
Burger King makes great hamburgers, but their fries are awful. I've been known to get a burger at BK and then drive over to get fries at Arbys or even McD's. (Easy enough to do since there's a whole long row of fast food places on the street between my apartment and the university.
from strawberrri :
Thank you so much for your note. We are doing well. And yay, glad you are still writing - will catch up on your diary!
from raven72d :
A breakfast burger is okay...you just have to not eat much of anything the rest of the day...or walk/run a lot. But at least I've never eaten, say, spaghetti for breakfast. Cold pizza may be another matter...
from cherrygash :
Lol, like the beast mode. Good luck on your finals.
from raven72d :
I hope your Halloween was great!
from cherrygash :
Yah, if you are ok with sending it then i will delete it.
from cherrygash :
Sure, ill get your pw.
from jimbostaxi :
Agreed paperwork sucks ,,, You know what else sucks when you make a mistake on the afore mentioned paperwork and you ask for whiteout and they hand you the liquid one and not the pen one. For gods sake where’s the whiteout pen? Who bought this damn liquid! Now I have to blow on it a few seconds so it drys faster and doesn’t get all over,,, :)
from raven72d :
Many, many thanks for the support all these years, girl!
from jimbostaxi :
Thanks for the note! my email is jimsean2006@yahoo,com :)
from cherrygash :
Hi, ya you can add me. Nice to meet you.
from raven72d :
06 October 18--- Congrats on the insurance! And on the Spanish exam!
from raven72d :
Glad to read that you're in a better relationship and that (homework aside!) things are going well!
from raven72d :
Thanks for the kind words, girl! I always love hearing from you! (Send me a password!)
from raven72d :
How is life?
from raven72d :
Are you going to be back here? I hope you do return!
from college-kid :
I would be happy to! Hopefully you don't mind sharing your email with me? I'll delete the note after I've sent it. Considering making a gmail account and posting it on my profile so people can just send me an email asking for the password. (:
from strawberrri :
Thanks for your note! I think she would be really touched by all the lovely things people are saying about her, even though many of us just knew her in a cyberworld. It's just cruel her life was cut short when we know how full she would have lived it, bringing joy and fun to those who knew her. Life is strange and sad sometimes. Hope you are doing good xx
from raven72d :
don't forget to send the p/w~!
from raven72d :
Me, too! You're always fun, girl!
from raven72d :
I hope you will send a p/w!
from raven72d :
Glad to have you back, though! Whether it's here or LJ, you're a great correspondent and a great read! I hope you'll leave lots o' comments.
from raven72d :
15 March 16--- are you back?
from jimbostaxi :
May I have a password ? Thanks :0) what's your favorite part of Ten Things I hate About you? It's and awesome movie!
from vxxen :
A) I love your face. B) thank you do much for the kind words. I screen shot them and look at them whenever I feel down :) and C) your face: I still love lol
from lostasyou :
Hey there. Thank you for your kind note. Yeah, I think I will. I think it happens a bit too regularly and I won't always be so lucky when I mess about like this. I don't think I am quite ready to say anything to anyone right now but the time will come. It's just not strictly "normal", is it? To do this on more than one occasion every year. Thanks for the words, it means a lot. I will do something about it soon. x
from raven72d :
I will miss you! Please do stay in touch!
from newschick :
no! i will miss you. xo
from ericg :
Good luck out there.
from raven72d :
You are missed!
from raven72d :
14 April 15--- come update!
from raven72d :
16 Feb 15--- Just got your note! Looks like the Notes function is back!
from catsoul :
12/11/14....I don't have your email anymore. I deleted it by accident. You know I am an old fart. =^..^=
from catsoul :
12/4/14...Super glad you glad your A, as I knew you would. The questions were tough ones and made me think. I also like rain. Anyhoo, we should exchange Christmas card. Do you do any art or crafts? Let me know, you have my email address. Take Care. =^..^=
from pink-sapfire :
I was in there for about two weeks, I was in ICU for 9 days. I was in the hospital Aug. 26-Sept 6th I believe. No ma'am, I'm from Clifton, TX. Yeah, my family and my husband have been great while I was recovering I just wish my dad and husband would start talking again, but there's nothing I can do to help the situation.
from pink-sapfire :
Yeah I know it has hasn't it? It went by fast to me because of how long I was sick and I missed a lot of her at the beginning until I was able to go home. My husband stayed in the rooms with me at the hospital so my mom and dad took turns watching my baby. My mom lives in my hometown Clifton and my dad lives in the same town as I do. Work is still going well and I pray it doesn't change.
from catsoul :
10/22/14...Howdy do to you J. About your medical bill, don't stress, about your finding a new job, don't stress, find the Zen in the moment and breathe. You should write about anything you want and whenever you want. I think it is good to just release it. It helps. Raining there again. We are in a stretch of dry for now. =^..^=
from pink-sapfire :
Thanks so much for your kind words. I'm glad things are going well with you. She is 2months old today. I just went back to work yesterday and I'm so glad after being gone for two and a half months that my job was like riding a bicycle and I picked it back up fast :)
from pink-sapfire :
PS: I hope all is well with you and yours :)
from pink-sapfire :
Thank you! I'm enjoying motherhood, it's just scary that I was almost taken from my family and this world. But I was granted my life and I couldn't be more excited and thrilled :)
from raven72d :
I hope you can find your old chats and posts--- losing things is awful.
from catsoul :
10/3/14....I enjoyed reading your poem. I then reread it. Well done I say. =^..^=
from raven72d :
It'll be about 80 here for a couple of weeks... And, yes--- I miss all the things from lost servers, too!
from phaythles :
Oh wow. Im sorry to hear that about your grandpa. Im glad they figured out what was wrong with him. It makes me realize that other opinions are often needed. And something about hospitals makes it feel like they are a waste of time. Maybe its the size so they stop giving a fuck? No idea. But its horrible that someone goes to this big shiny place hoping to get fixed and instead they get minimum treatment.
from raven72d :
64 F in Philly? That's wonderful! It was 88 F here today!
from phaythles :
Thank you so much for the note! Hes better now thank god. *hugs*
from ping-island :
i'm not sure how much you know about html and whatnot but if you google "website weather widget" you can find a bunch of sites where you can just copy and paste the thing and it'll show the weather on your journal. weather.com and accuweather.com both have them. then again, i also don't have an iphone so maybe it's easier for you to just paste from your app thing when you're thinking about the weather. :p
from stepfordtart :
No problem :-) You might like this (pictures and info about Dover area): http://thecoastalpath.net/2012/11/22/37a-leaving-dover/ s xx
from raven72d :
I love playing with my iPhone weather app--- finding out where the weather is better than here!
from lostasyou :
Oh yeah, he's in prison. Scum. And thank you for your message, it means a lot.
from raven72d :
Rain is always an inspiration.
from jaysthoughts :
Sept. 11th. The day the US government had the 3 towers destroyed to justify the endless state of war extension of powers that justified the surveillance state people like Edward Snowden helped uncover.
from stepfordtart :
Hey Girl! Dover is a huge port, so yes, its kind of a seaside place. There's some beaches around there and some very famous white chalk cliffs. Its also the nearest place to France (and the rest of Europe) so there's lots of ferries and container ships and stuff like that coming and going. Because its so close to France, its kind of thought of as the 'first sign' of England when youre coming home - a bit like your huddled masses seeing the statue of liberty - you could google a song called "White Cliffs of Dover" which is a nostalgic kind of song from the 2nd World War. And yes, it rains there. It rains everywhere in England! s x
from catsoul :
9/12/14...I love to get notes too. So what are you looking for at the mall? Does your mall have a Sephora Store? I like to shop that store on line. Have a great rest of your day. Take Care. =^..^=
from jaysthoughts :
Happy Inside Job Day
from raven72d :
So much to read here and say...
from lostasyou :
Don't worry, I would have cried anyway haha it's a thing I do every night at the moment. It's awful. All of it, sorry for your pals, too. It's not fair. I spoke about a girl that got murdered a couple of years ago, due to give birth in a few days and she was battered by her ex at the end of my street. I went to school with her. That messed me up, but this.. this has affected me way more. I feel guilty for being so sad? He was such a huge part of my early life. He's always been around during the recent years but I wish.. I wish I spoke to him more. If I knew he'd be leaving us.. obviously I would have spoken to him more. And yeah, we have to cherish every moment. Which is why I'm trying to (as awkward was I am) contact lost friends and see them. We never know when our time is up :( xx
from lostasyou :
Babe, you'll make me cry :( here it comes, ha. I'm sorry about your friend. It's so horrible. It's so scary and unexpected and painful and.. surreal, but on the other hand very real? It feels like it's a nightmare, but then.. it's so like, fuck. The young die, too. I never expected this, man. Ever. Gutted. Thank you for your kind words xxxxx
from raven72d :
09 September 14--- do update!
from raven72d :
Update soon!
from phaythles :
Haha. These town names are great. Yes there is a Kill Devil Hills, NC. It is actually part of Dare County. Which is near Buzzard Bay and there is also a Burns Drive. Someone knew what they were doing when they named that area.
from raven72d :
Let me know what you find out about the mascots! I've been to Hell in the Cayman Islands and Transylvania LA and mailed letters from both places just for the postmark. You should mail lots o' stuff from Intercourse.
from phaythles :
We have a Climax, MI. I knew about that because its a tiny town we passed through before. Also knew about Hell, MI. Googled and came up with Gay, MI, Bath, MI, and Christmas, MI. I can only imagine their thought process when they came up with these names. I also wonder what type of people live there. Im going to make it my mission to sometime in my future visit Bath and Christmas MI because I said so.
from dangerspouse :
And don't forget Climax, PA, about 240 miles west of Intercourse. Of course, it doesn't matter how close they are. Men never seem to be able to take women there regardless....
from raven72d :
My dad was born in Johnstown and grew up there and in Pittsburgh, so I knew about Intercourse PA... You really need one of the t-shirts for their high school. I wonder what their football team is named...
from meffinmisfit :
you're dad was being what most men are lol. Excuse him, but as for the ex "friend" - I'd leave that alone. Let said person do all the work if they really are looking for you. 7/21
from catsoul :
7/20/14....thank you for the note. I hope that life is going alright for you also. Take Care. =^..^=
from raven72d :
Have a great vacation!
from raven72d :
Happy 4 July! Glad you got through the storm okay!
from meffinmisfit :
LOL you're hilarious! And I agree, goooo Portugal. Keep calling and buggin' every body and their mamas!! xo <3
from pink-sapfire :
Awww thanks. And yes it is nice of my mom. I haven't seen her since April or so, and It bugs me I don't get to see her that often.
from meffinmisfit :
Donkey B pissed you off girl. I was rolling reading that entry. The only setback to getting a job at that restaurant is that you may have to work with her ... SMH!
from pink-sapfire :
Hehe thanks and I'm glad when she gets here as well.
from meffinmisfit :
Very glad you are baaaaack! No advice except to stand clear of friend-douche and keep threading on with job searches. Bother these people if you have to. Assessss! <3
from raygirl999 :
Forget about that dumb girl. You are way cooler, smarter and nicer than her! She can kick rocks.
from raven72d :
hey! welcome back!
from almostrachie :
Welcome back!!
from sparkle-pink :
So glad you're not exiled anymore! Those scam things are the worst, and the worst part is is that person is a 'friend' so it's hard to tell them no, you're not interested, stop talking I'm really not interested. I wish you luck finding a job! I HATE job searching. I was very fortunate when during my last year of uni I got recommended by friends to various positions and didn't have to look for work at all! Most of all I hope you get a job doing something you like. I could totally picture you at a bookstore!
from raygirl999 :
Glad you are back!
from stepfordtart :
Got it now! Thanks dear! s x
from meffinmisfit :
Hey chickie, username and pw don't work for me :(
from raven72d :
Glad to have you back!
from raven72d :
I'll go check! Gracias!
from meffinmisfit :
....ahh, i forgot username and password :(
from raven72d :
Have you changed your password?
from raygirl999 :
Happy New Year! I'm so glad you came Back to DL!!'
from raven72d :
Hey, girl! And how is Christmas going for you?
from sparkle-pink :
Hey! Sorry, I forget about notes especially these days when my head is a million miles away. My dog Kodiak passed away from old age. He was 15 years old. I'm still sad about his death, and will often still cry about it, but I am glad he lived a long, good life.
from stepfordtart :
Hello dear! Would you send a password to [email protected]? thanks everso! s x
from raygirl999 :
What a nice diary in honor of Mr. Mandela. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
from raven72d :
I count on you to help me know these terms!
from raven72d :
"Ratchet" is such a strange word to choose, unless maybe it comes from "wretched".
from raygirl999 :
Philly was great! I got to see my nana and my auntie, uncle and cousins. Your holiday sounded good!
from raven72d :
In the US, "moll" is like a 1930s term for a gangster's girlfriend ("gun moll"), but in NZ I guess it is like "ratchet".
from raygirl999 :
Glad you are back!!! We missed you here. Sorry you had drama with some lame-ass bitches.
from sparkle-pink :
Thank you for your lovely note. I slept well last night which was a relief! I am glad to hear your speech in public speaking class went well. I understand the nerves of getting up in front of people and putting yourself out there. Good for you for taking that step and being brave. Also, so sorry to hear about your cat. I lost a pet a few years ago and I'm still suffering greatly. I hope your cat died with good memories and lots of love.
from raven72d :
Very good day! Glad to hear yours went well, too.
from samcorday :
Happy Thanksgiving dear.Hope you had a good one! :)
from raven72d :
Not a bad day. Cold and quiet, but I went out tonight and got dinner and talked to friends. What did you do?
from lostasyou :
Thanks very much xx
from lostasyou :
Hey, thank you for your note. I didn't actually go that morning as I stayed awake all night and made myself so sick with worry that I couldn't bear to go out so I'll be going with my boyfriend in the morning and we'll both be seen, ha! Whatever it may be, it'll probably be dealt with. Thanks for the support xx
from raven72d :
Just got your p/w--- great to read you again!
from raven72d :
totally looking forward to it!
from famoustn :

from raven72d :
Yay! Do send a p/w if you're going to be locked!
from lifeortheatr :

from catsoul :
11/27/13....I would much rather get a speech done rather than wait. I am sure you did fine. I recall having to take speech twice in college because I failed the first time. I deleted your email address, you should send it to me again. Anyhoo, have a great day tomorrow. Take Care. =^..^=
from samcorday :
Hi are you back? May i have a pw pretty please with sugar on top? :)

from catsoul :
11/26/13....hi again. So sorry to read about one of your cats passing away. You have a good Thursday. We don't do holidays really since my husband works in the medical field. We do a holiday whenever we want to. Glad to see you are back writing here. Take Care. =^..^=
from raygirl999 :
They are very clique-ish and they insult people who don't fit into Their club. So gross and rude. Many of them seem miserable.
from raygirl999 :
Yes I had one for a few years but I rarely update. I had people leave comments to insult me! Wtf is wrong with those people?! DL may have fewer users but we all care about each other :-)
from raygirl999 :
You are so right about LJ people being mean. I used to update over there and some of those people are the worst. So rude. I love DL and my buddies over here!
from raygirl999 :
Yes please delete my note with my email addy. Thanks!
from sparkle-pink :
You're back! Yay! I was thinking about you the other day.
from animejournal :
Missed you too! I missed reading your journal! So much can happen over time!

from samcorday :

from newschick :
Wise move! On twitter I don't even follow people I actually know... It's more a feed for all my news and such. It's a nice bubble! All is well in NJ... Just trying not to freeze ;). Hey can I get a login to your diary?
from alethia :
I should have asked for the manager, you're right. I guess I was just worried about finding a bigger bear to deal with. I finally hung up when she started inquiring about my employment insurance payments. I told her that was none of her fucking business and there was no reason we should be talking anymore.
from samcorday :
lol @wearing cute navy blue peacoat to vote....and yay @ first time voting! you've lost your voting virginity :D
from stepfordtart :
I think you made a very reasoned choice! Hooray for you - all grown up! s x

i am amazed though to hear that i sound like a pretty cool person...lol..nice :D
from samcorday :
lol no i don't mind if you add me....isn't that what D-land about? being a bit of a creeper to find diaries that sound interesting to follow? :) i'll be adding you as well
from almostrachie :
Diaryland used to be HOPPING! I miss it so much -- the chat room, all the banners, the community, the huge number of active diaries, the diaryrings...it's kind of a wasteland now, blargh! -tumbleweeds-
from raven72d :
Hah! Love that! (I can't imagine you having haterz! You've only and ever been kind and supportive and fun around me!) Oh, and--- guess whose birthday is 22 November...
from raven72d :
Congrats on being a voter...and on the iPhone.
from sparkle-pink :
Hi! Thanks for your note about my Dad's truck! Sorry I'm responding so late, I didn't get a notification that I got a new note from diaryland and on a whim checked my notes page today. They haven't caught the guys yet, who knows if they ever will, but I hope they do! I'm just glad that it's over for my Dad's end of it. At least, I think so.
from catsoul :
Good for you, vote wisely and how you wish to. I am not so much into politics myself. Now my husband is, holy cow. I have to agree with you about the snuggly bed. For me, at the end of the day, when I get under the covers is the best, you start to get all cozy. My little dog Malcolm cuddles up to my neck, if a doggie could purr he would. Glad you are all hyper and today was a great day for you!! =^..^=
from stepfordtart :
Im glad you registered to vote. I always think that 'if you dont vote, you cant moan' - that is, you have no right to complain about the state of your country if you havent exercised your right to try to change it. Politics is a tricky subject (and ours is so different to yours that I cant even give you a starting point!)so I hope you manage to find someone who can give you an unbiased view of the parties to help you make up your mind. s x PS I dont think my friend would have stepped into that fight if it had been boys - TOO scary! - but I think she thought she might be safe as it was girls and she was just trying to help. Poor thing, I think thats the first fight she's been in EVER!
from raygirl999 :
Thanks for the birthday note!
from raygirl999 :
Voting is the best! It;s such a responsible and awesome thing to do. Congrats!
from catsoul :
Here's a hug
from almostrachie :
I know how you feel, about just needing a hug. Sometimes when I'm stressed to the max, I feel like if I just had one good hug, everything would be okay again. I think your body just craves physical affection sometimes! I know it's not the same, but -hug-!
from raven72d :
There's a place in town that makes the best glazed donuts--- I try to get there on Saturday or Sunday mornings at dawn to get fresh ones. And I love their glazed with chocolate icing.
from raven72d :
I'm doing okay! My office smells like smoke, and there are weird soot handprints on the corridor walls, but I'm back at work at okay. Thanks for the kind thoughts! And I do envy you the donuts!
from anna-popcorn :
my classes are great.... well, I think they're great, but I'm a nerd. :p I'm in class with a boy from the team-- I'm managing the wrestling team here, so we sit next to eachother and hang sometimes. I was actually kinda sad when i logged into dland after forever and saw you were locked. Wonder if I could get a password...?
from anna-popcorn :

from raven72d :
just before senior year, i followed a girl home, got out in her driveway late at night and introduced myself. we actually went for coffee and then dated most of senior year. That might've been in a different world, but I do remember it as romantic.
from meffinmisfit :
LOL @ thunderthighs! And yes, inquiring minds want to know what happened with guy in car :p
from raven72d :
Thnaks for the p/w! I love Neko Case, too... Great lyrics, great voice. And it's not weird for him to ask for your number in a car, or at least no weirder than anywhere else.
from raven72d :
can you get me the p/w again? it doesn't seem to be working...
from raven72d :
Don't vanish! And I'd love a password... (I always love getting comments from you!)
from meffinmisfit :
No, it's not weird. I think it's actually forward. Shows interest!
from stepfordtart :
OMG! How many times can we say OMG in one entry?! Heeheehee! I dont think it was weird for that guy to ask for your number...unless of course you were standing on the corner and he was driving by VERRRRRY slowly, in which case it is BEYOND creepy! lots of love s x
from lostasyou :
Thank you xxx
from lostasyou :
Hello, could you leave your username/password in my notes and I'll delete it straight after? I lost it and can't remember it x
from almostrachie :
I'm sorry to hear about Blackie, hopefully it's treatable! I'm glad your brother had a good birthday, Thomas always seems to be a big hit with 2-year olds :)! Also, I hope you manage to enjoy the wedding, even though it sounds like there is some family drama involved (that is never any fun, oy!)
from raven72d :
Serious thanks! Good info! You get this morning's prize for filling me in!
from famoustn :
Thank you1 :D
from raygirl999 :
Hello! So glad to hear from you! Can I have your PW please? You can email me at [email protected]
from famoustn :
Yeah, today I pretty much had to stop myself from calling her a condescending fuck!
from raven72d :
Finally getting serious wind and rain, but nothing too outrageous yet. I still have power, which is good.
from raven72d :
I will! I'll be outside with coffee, writing in my paper journal and watching the wind.
from meffinmisfit :
you can definitely add me & i'd also like to read yours as well :) ciao!
from raven72d :
I'll take care and keep checking the news.
from raven72d :
pretty good... though there may be a hurricane warning tomorrow!
from ping-island :
nah, none of them said anything back. i don't think men like that ever have much to say to women who make it clear that they aren't interested in men's opinions about their bodies.
from almostrachie :
You sure can have the password, lovely, can I have your e-mail address to send it?
from raven72d :
Glad to hear things are better.
from athenyx :
Thank you beautiful! Hopefully i'll get through my 30 days unscathed and have a blast! I'd like to live to tell the tale, lol! Xx
from raven72d :
what happened with what you were buying?
from athenyx :
Thank you!! :-D North Carolina is super beautiful. I love it here! Come sunshine or crazy thunder storm in the mountains!! I'm very excited about travelling after camp - i have 30 days and i'm cramming in as much as possible, even if i have to eat crackers for the whole month!! The south is definitely different - some stuff took getting used to, but it's been 10 weeks now, i feel like a pro, lol! I'll feel all out of place for a while at home. I'm going to be visiting Philly funnily enough! I'm going Atlanta, New Orleans, Houston, Memphis, Chicago, Philly, Atlantic City, DC, Niagara Falls and NYC - a few other little stops too - no doubt they'll all end up in my diary!
from scullerymaid :
Good luck! I really want to get into shape again. And it's really not that hard to fit a workout in after I start ignoring all my excuses. So here's to a healthier future!
from englishsucks :
thank you sweetie:) your notes always makes me smile
from stepfordtart :

from famoustn :
I was able to! Thanks so much. :D
from famoustn :
Thanks for the notes! I'm sorry I didn't get your first one sooner as I've been MIA. But it's really great to know there's someone out there reading! Also, you locked your diary since the last time I've been here! Would you mind if I was able to read it?
from lostasyou :
I'm in :) thanks xx
from lostasyou :
Let me in! If that's alright with you, of course..
from college-kid :
Boo for locking up. D:
from raven72d :
Thanks for the p/w, girl!
from raven72d :
The miniseries is good because it's long enough to deal with all the subplots. The novel has three or four intertwining story arcs, so that Anna's life is contrasted with her cousin and her friend.
from raven72d :
I didn't know about the new film! But there is a wonderful British mini-series version from the '70s that's on DVD now.
from raven72d :
Tell me what you thought of "Anna Karenina".
from raven72d :
condolences on the music loss! i'd go berserk if I lost my iTunes library! I finally did get an XHD to back everything up on, so at least that's safe...
from college-kid :
I get like that sometimes. :) Nice thing about D-land is it's always here when you return.
from catsoul :
find some recipes you would like to try, and make them for your family. Keep a book log, in it tell what you liked about it, and what you might have learned. I love to make lists. Learn to juggle, you start with these juggling scarves. Make and send one card a week to someone whe usually doesn't get any mail. Paint each toenails a different color. Do you knit or crochet? Do you know how to play the guitar? Volunteer at the animal humane place in your town? Plant a herb tray. Have loads of fun. Take care. =^..^=

I hate my Horticulture class... Actually, I enjoy the kids, and the greenhouse. But the notes- gag me. Anyways, I thought you needed to see this video if you haven't yet. Home state, baby! "Raising Awarness: Senioritis" by Backyard Directors http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeq7nxfEBfQ And your welcome in advance.
from raven72d :
Horticulture! Cool! Makes sense...from pomme = apple, I guess... But I like the word "pomology".
from raven72d :
Pomology?
from raven72d :
I so hate telemarketers. I sometimes keep my landline unplugged 'til after they can legally call.
from college-kid :
I went through a similar situation a year or so ago. A friend I'd known since highschool would cut class, ask for my notes, then make a higher grade than me. = I finally told him straight up if he wasn't going to come to class, he couldn't have my notes anymore.
from scullerymaid :
Thanks so much. I never knew how much of a difference a dutch oven would make compared to just pan-frying!
from scullerymaid :
It was the most ridiculous thing ever. If the phone wasn't fixable, fine. But then he had to go and fuck it up by resetting it and erasing EVERYTHING! Dick to the max...
from college-kid :
You're very welcome! And I'm not gonna lie, I had to google "Pomology"... I never knew there was such a thing.
from raven72d :
Get yourself some Tony Chachere's. It goes with everything--- on burgers or steaks, in soups, in the water when you boil potatoes or in a gravy mix. Brilliant stuff.
from college-kid :
Oh girl, I know how that feels. I'm a senior in college and I still feel that way sometimes. The best thing to do is find something that relaxes you and allows you to put things in perspective. For me, that's venting out loud on here or to the boyfriend, though I often play video games as well. Just takes your mind off things for a bit so when you look at them again, you can rationalize better instead of being stressed out. Don't worry, though, it gets better. <3
from raven72d :
The trick is to get the right base for it. The easy thing is to get the rice mix and add a couple of cubes of bouillon (chicken and/or beef) while it simmers. You can vary the meats--- browned chicken thighs, andouille sausage (any good spicy sausage will do, but andouille is classic), pork chops or even bits of ham. I prefer andouille and pork chops myself. Use Tony Chachere's Seasoned Salt--- not too much. Lots o' black pepper--- though that's a matter of taste. But it's the base that goes with the rice that's key.
from raven72d :
Jambalaya--- yes! (I make a very good jambalaya!)
from cosmic-heart :

from raven72d :
do encourage people not to leave D-land. we need all the good people here (like you, girl) that we can get!
from college-kid :
Thanks for the kind note, I appreciate it. <3
from elgan :
Glad you like it. It was so much fun to knit, I think I'll be making several more.
from cosmic-heart :
hi! first note! woo hoo! :) i made my username a while back before andrew changed everything, but i never used it until the other day. i just felt like moving and starting fresh. hope you're doing well. talk to you soon! love, noey.

Productive is good.
from raygirl999 :
I am so excited for you to be going off to college! You are so smart and you will love higher education. As far as financial aid...I am in grad school and much older than you and I STILL had to do a finaid appeal this year and ask for more aid. They WILL work with you. They will work with you for months and months don't worry. As long as you did your FAFSA you are good. Apply for Stafford loans if you have too and even grad plus loans. Getting money for school is easier than getting in sometimes (not always though!) Just be sure to be responsible with any loan money you get and plan to only take what you need and know you'll have to pay it off (no bankruptcy with student loans)
from dia4 :
I've missed you too! So far this year I've been doing pretty well. Just one day at a time. ~wry grin~
from catsoul :
hi, sounds like you are in transition, especiallly in thinking about you and your life as a whole. Just wanted to mention to you, from me as a parent. We love our children unconditionally, good parents do. Sounds like you have some awesome parents. The pleasing everyone but yourself is a hard row to hoe. I used to be a "perfectionist," before I had my son, now I realize that it is alright to just do the best you can. It takes time to sort of one's life, be patient, and as time goes on, acceptance of who you are, what you want to become, becomes clearer. Enjoy the journey, your parents will always be there to support you. Learn to laugh with them, life is way too short for self anger. Anyhoo, loved the pic on top of your page. Take care. =^..^=
from scullerymaid :
It's a cute movie. Has a lot of big names in it. I didn't think I would like it, but it wasn't too bad. And I would love an add! I'm glad you enjoy it!
from scullerymaid :
I was watching Valentine's Day (I think- it's been a movie kind of week!) and it was one of the previews
from almostrachie :
Happy belated Pi Day! My best friend's birthday is on Pi day, so it's always a great one :) No pie for me, though, I gave up sugary foods and drinks for Lent! Did you have pie?
from scullerymaid :
Thanks so much for the note! I actually haven't seen the movie in years, but today a commercial popped up on the tv and that scene was in it. I'm thinking about checking out the book after I finish my current read
from stepfordtart :
6th form is the bit between school (which finishes at 16) and University (starts at age 18). 6th Form is the bit where you take the exams that will get you into university and generally covers the ages 16-18. Hope that helps! s x
from raven72d :
thanks! glad to have you around! i always love reading you and finding your notes.
from stepfordtart :
When I was at college, the same guy exposed himself to me EVERY FREAKIN MORNING as I walked across the park. One day just as he stepped out from behind a tree, I looked down and there was a half wall-brick right in front of me on the ground. I picked it up and threw it at him. I didnt hit him, but he sure jumped on his bike and pedalled off damn quick. Dont know if you call these kind of guys 'flashers' over there like us, but I am SERIOUSLY a Flasher Magnet. The bastards seek me out. Ive been flashed at, like 50 times in my life. Not nice if theyre doing it to little kids tho. YUK. Be safe, girl! s x
from raven72d :
I'm glad you're out there on the aether. You've been a good correspondent. Thanks for that, girl.
from raven72d :
Journaling is good for the soul. Very much so.
from stepfordtart :
We do get tornadoes but not very often and they tend to not be as severe as you guys get. You can see a list here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_European_tornadoes_and_tornado_outbreaks . We're not big on hurricanes or ice storms or tsunamis or other scary kinds of stuff here in the UK either although really bad weather does tend to take us by surprise when we get it as we're not used to it. There was a really bad flood in a place called Boscastle a few years ago - you can see news footage of it on youtube somewhere I expect. Mostly it rains here, or its cloudy, or its kin dof sunny but not really very hot. We have boring weather! s x
from catsoul :
So what kind of ring? Perhaps post a pic of it. It is always great to have a "me" clear the head day. At my age I call those days, "just checking out for a day!!" Take care. =^..^=
from newschick :
ya NJ is defo more up your neck of the woods than my texas roots! he's paranoid again because the boss of his potential future boss wants to talk to him today... damn his cynicism! if it all worked out we'd be moving to new brunswick... so not like, jersey city. :) altho i just finished the sopranos on boxset and i'm kind of freaked out! haha. are u a senior yet? any college decisions?
from raven72d :
Shark Week will always be on Discovery Channel somewhere... I can't imagine life without it!
from anna-popcorn :
Thank you. that was all sorts of things that I needed to hear. Cheer was driving me insane. And not insane like "oh man, I want to smack a bitch" insane as in physically insane. Luckily THATs done. (Although we all know how much i'll miss wrestling). Hopefully now I can get a bit of a better handle on everything. Thank you so much. Good luck with the college conundrum. :)

Major rain Saturday... The parade rolled late, and I went out for a little while to watch, but came in when I started getting soaked. But very beautiful today--- perfect Mardi Gras weather, great day, lots of things to do...
from sunflowerowl :
Thanks for the note, lovely! I had a pretty bad day and I just came home tonight and read your note and it made me happy. Take care! <3 Noey
from raven72d :
thanks, girl! I'll be trying to avoid getting drenched in the rain, but I hope the parade rolls later this afternoon!
from sunflowerowl :
Hey there! Aw, I missed you too! I missed everyone! It's been hard to go online lately and update, like I said. There has been a lot of rough patches in my life, but things have been turning around and I'm trying to stay positive. I think even if things are bad, I'll still come here and update. I was trying to make this a happy diary, but it wouldn't be honest. Anyway, I'm glad to be back. Love, Noey :)
from raven72d :
How did V-Day go?
from raven72d :
Happy Valentine's Day 2012!
from sparkle-pink :
Sushi can definitely be an acquired taste. It was for me. Eating raw fish totally grossed me out at first, but slowly I started to like it. But there's rolls with cooked stuff in it, like chicken teriyaki rolls, or yam tempura rolls, or california rolls (if you like avocado). You can start there to see if you even like the stuff. To some the seaweed that it's wrapped in is totally gross. If you want to try out the raw fish aspect, I suggest ordering some tuna or salmon maki. Those are small rolls with little bits of fish in them. They're cheap too, so you won't be wasting too much money if you don't like it!
from stepfordtart :
My hometown (where my parents still live) is a big port, so its right on the sea. There's no real beach there, though, just a strip of pebbles and a view of the oil refinery! I live about 7 miles inland. Nearest 'proper' beach is only maybe 10 miles away. If you take a look at a map of England, we're in the middle, at the bottom, opposite the kinda diamond-shaped island. My sister has a house in Bruges (in Belgium) but she doesnt live there, its kind of a holiday home. You can get there in half a day from here. My parents were staying there for the weekend cos it was my mums birthday. You can see the Bruges house here: http://stepfordtart.diaryland.com/100817_82.html s x
from stepfordtart :
: ( No snow here yet. We're right on the south coast so we're pretty much the warmest part of the country. Everyone else seems to have had loads - my parents were in Belgium last weekend and it snowed hard there but England isnt generally much of a snowy place. s x
from stepfordtart :
You spelled Antarctica fine....but you added another 100 years to poor old Charles Dickens! He's only 200, not 300! heeheehee. Hope you package arrives soon, its nearly as cold in Antarctica as it is here! s x
from raven72d :
I don't much like rap, either--- though Amanda Blank isn't bad.
from raven72d :
Last night--- steak. Tonight--- had Thai takee-outee delivered. I'm a big fan of Asian food. What did you have?
from raven72d :
Just back from dinner. Tired after the week, but doing well. Hope your weekend goes well!
from raygirl999 :
Hey you haven't updated in a while. I hope all is well, we miss you!
from raven72d :
It was scary about Cynthia. She's had some awful luck in the last few years, and this is just...unbelievable. I'm just glad she's okay. As for the crazy guy--- the world is full of them. And they can vote and breed, both.
from catsoul :
Funny you should ask about tattoos. I have been getting tats since I was 21 years old. I have almost two full sleeves, though I have a couple of small areas to fill. I am working around my upper shoulders now and my back. When my son had his 18th birthday, I drew a dragon for his arm, took him to my tattooist, it was his birthday present from me to him. I don't have tattoos on my hands, I have to draw the line there. So whatever inspires or is dear to your heart. Just remember as time goes on with tattoos, you need to think about lines. I do think I have posted over the years here some pics of my new tats as I have gotten them. So thanks for asking. A tattoo to me is for me being a living canvas that will only be here for so long. I get them because all I need to do is look at myself, and I see a "work of art."
from stepfordtart :
Yay to passing Math! I am very jealous of your snow - we hardly ever get it here : ( I got your essay - thanks very much - and will give it a good read asap. s x
from catsoul :
thank god for the C in math. A C is a good grade, it means you understood it and you are just like most folks, you passed. I suggest since you don't like math so well, that you get the math courses out of the way sooner. You will have to take pics of your ceramic projects and post them. I just came in from shoveling for an hour and a half. I could feel the temps getting warmer as I shoveled. Tomorrow(Sunday) no lie, we are supposed to get ice pellets(WTF) I can't believe it was 9 below or more this morning, now this. I have hot chocolate everyday pretty much. Sometimes I put ice cream in it, boy is that delicious. Anyhoo, on to FB so I can play Gardens of Time. The scences are so gorgeous, and I am really liking that game. Some of the people who play GOT are hard core players. Have fun tomorrow on your last day, you should go get a tattoo, Myka Jelina, she is an awesome artist. I have alot of her prints. She is designing a new series with birds. The color is amazing. I think I should get another tat. I will save my change. Take care. =^..^=
from catsoul :
yeah for you and congrats!! I love to do ceramics. I took college art classes while in H.S. I still remember Tyne Mike, they lived just a ways down from us on the lake we all lived on. She told me while I was taking some of her art classes, like thrown pots on the wheel, that over the summer I should come over to her studio and work on some art projects. I thought holy cow. Anyway, back to you, I am so excited for you to have ceramics. Have you ever thought about a voice activated computer that will type what you say. It makes doing essays, and/or reports so much easier. It lets your words and ideas flow and you can edit it later. I am a sucky speller, and if I stopped my thoughts to think if I spelled something correctly, I would never get anything written. Anyhoo, so did you have today off, or do you get Monday off. Do something fun. Taffy is laying on my right hand as I type and her left paw is between my two hands. Her paw is covering the v,b, and n. Tough to type. Got love up fur babies. Stay warm and have loads of fun. Take care. =^..^=
from raven72d :
congrats, girl! glad to hear you'll have good classes up soon.
from stepfordtart :
Here's to next semester! Im looking forward to seeing the essay - Ive been in school this week but I wont be there much for the next two weeks so itll be nice to have something school-y to do in reading your essay! s x
from stepfordtart :
Good luck! s x
from raven72d :
you'll do okay, girl. just take a deep breath and remember that. you aren't going to fail anything.
from raven72d :
Good luck on all your finals, girl!
from stepfordtart :
yay! I got it (and I replied!) - looking forward to seeing the essay, now get to work! heehee! s x
from stepfordtart :
Yep, you can email to [email protected] if you want to! EBB read "A Vindication of the Rights of Women" when she was only a teenager so Im sure it had some influence on her if youre looking to include Wollstonecraft in your essay. You might also have a peep at the play "The Barretts of Wimpole Street" which is based on EBB and Robert's life/marriage. s x
from stepfordtart :
Oooh! Splendid! Do squeeze in some reference to Mary Wollstonecraft for maximum smarty-pants points! Any chance you would let me see the essay once its done? s x
from stepfordtart :
What's the Brit Lit project on, dear? Still wrestling with Wuthering Heights or moved on to something equally as tedious? s x
from raven72d :
Happy Year Twelve--- and write, write, write.
from lostasyou :
I've deleted that silly entry now but I saw your comment. Thanks for the concern :) I am okay now I think. Just an unexplained mood.. silly haha. The thing is I know life is worth living, there's just something in me that struggles to see it properly sometimes. Hey ho, have a good NYE! x

from raygirl999 :
Glad you are doing well. I hope your 2012 is excellent!
from stepfordtart :
I bought Treacle a Kindle for Christmas - Ive not heard of a Nook but I guess its some kind of ipad type thingy if you can type on it. The kindle is great if you just want it for reading (which Treacle does) - VERY easy to use, even my mum can work it and she's in her 70s and doesnt have a computer! Happy New Year to you - Im off to hit the sales today but its real windy here too. Im not liking windy weather much at the moment (for obvious reasons - dont wanna be chasing a wig down the street!) - maybe I should wear a hat today! s x
from raven72d :
I want to hear all about the Nook and how it compares to a Kindle or an iPad.
from athenyx :
Thank you :-) It was Christmas Eve. I hope you've had a very merry crimbo! Xx
from lostasyou :
Thank you very much, love :) Merry Christmas and a very HAPPY new year to you too!!! xxxx
from raven72d :
Merry Christmas! And do have a great time tomorrow.
from raven72d :
I love Pepys' diaries...and that he wrote in brown ink in a coded handwriting... Enjoy the break, read lots, sleep lots, enjoy!
from stepfordtart :
Love Actually! Oh! I hate the part where Emma Thomson realises the bracelet's not for her. I cry Every. Single. Time. s x PS Apart from that bit its a good movie! Merry Christmas!
from raven72d :
Relax over winter break and just forget about the whole world at school. In six months you'll be done with that place and those people anyway. So use the break to just sleep and read and enjoy the season.
from raven72d :
Thanks! I appreciate that! I've been writing here since June '02, and I plan to keep on... I'm glad you're along for the ride.
from raven72d :
And Joyeux Noel, girl!
from lostasyou :
HAHA yes!! :D Thank god for that haha I was hoping it'd all work. Cheers for the confirmation :) xx
from lostasyou :
Ahh that's crap! I don't really know what to do then :( I spent ages archiving all the entries so they'd work properly on the new template so I don't really want to change it hah! Hmm ah poop x
from raven72d :
Hope it all goes well!
from lostasyou :
Ahh I think my template is a bit rubbish on Internet Explorer.. I tried it out on there and nothing showed up, I don't know why! I might have to change it again haha. Also, congrats!
from stepfordtart :
Here! Save yourself some time - here's a creepy-ass version of the book, in song form, from my teenage years. I put the version with the lyrics cos its hard to hear what Kate Bush is saying sometimes, although when she sings 'Come home', it should read 'I'VE come home', which makes more sense. http://youtu.be/YTs-Wa9lB0Q . Its a good story, but OH so boringly told. Needs a re-write - shall I get on it?! s x
from sduckie :
Honey congratulations on getting into one of your top choice universities!!! That is definitely something to celebrate! Yeah, stay away from the bullshit boys, it's not worth it in the long run to put up with any crap-trust me!!
from jaysthoughts :
So you were interrupted.. during watching Girl, Interrupted.
from raven72d :
hmmm...i've never sold anything on line, but powells.com might buy them. And doesn't Amazon have links to places that buy/sell used books?
from sexonatable :
CONGRATS! :)
from stepfordtart :
Thats wonderful news! Many congratulations, you clever little thing! s x
from raygirl999 :
Yay! I am so happy for you and proud of you and your awesomeness!! Congrats! And I love pens and journals too. It may seem silly but finding an old journal in your own handwriting when you are cleaning out your apartment is kind of amazing. I think that writing things by hand and having a tactile connection to your work is priceless.
from lostasyou :
Yeah things are going okay thanks! I'll have to have a little snoop and read up on what you have been up to because I think that's what all us folk do on this site haha. Have a nice day :) x
from sparkle-pink :
Congrats on getting accepted to your top choice! How exciting!
from college-kid :
Congrats!
from raven72d :
And...congrats on university!
from raven72d :
I know about the hoarding thing--- I can't ever give up letters and copies of things I once liked. And I almost never give up books from my past.
from lostasyou :
I used to have you on here when my username was "omfggwtf" haha. I just found you again! I moved to this other diary months ago but I'm still struggling to find everyone on my old buddy list haha. You're going back on it now :D
from anna-popcorn :
Oh my god. I know. I'm scared about college. Like, what if the classes in the honnors program are too hard for me? What if I don't have a job comming out of it? What if I don't make it into the music program? And how on the world are us normal people supossed to afford it?
from raven72d :
Looking forward to your stories!
from retro-cat :
hey girl, are you having problems with livejournal today?? i can't even bring up my page, its not working at all, i heard that there has been another attack, i hope they fix it soon! :( And that guy sounds scary..hope he understands that you only want him for a friend.
from raygirl999 :
Seriously, this dude sounds like he might be dangerous, You may want to tell a teacher or friend just to be on the lookout in case he does something crazy. Make sure someone knows to watch out for him! Some guys will not take a hint no matter how straight froward you are and they will try to blame the girl when they don't get what they want. Be careful!
from retro-cat :
Yay!! Congrats on getting accepted..college girl! :)
from sparkle-pink :
Congrats on your college acceptance!
from raygirl999 :
OMG congrats!! You so deserve it, woohoo!!!
from englishsucks :
congratulation girl!!!! <3
from sduckie :
Congrats!! :)
from stepfordtart :
Fantastic news! You clever thing, you! How lovely it will be to hear all about your college life. s x

from college-kid :
Only date people you can see yourself marrying one day. You have a good head on your shoulders; relationships DO take a lot of time, so you're wise to wait. As for him being an angry person, I see no reason for him to lash out at you. Try not to worry about it, but if he shows any signs of aggression towards you A) Avoid him and/or B) tell an adult if it escalates.
from stepfordtart :
You funny girl. You can flirt with whoever you like - I do it all the time and never believe that anyone I flirt with takes it seriously, otherwise I sure would have some trouble in my marriage! Giving your number to a boy isnt the same as 'leading him on', its just making contacts. That way, you can always say "Oh, if you're going such-and-such, give me a call. Me and my girls are going too, we'll all meet up." etc etc. You like this boy as a friend, there's no reason to suspect anything you did was misleading, and it sounds like you spelled it out on the phone anyways. If his 'anger issues' come bubbling up because of a bit of flirty talk and a phone number, then you were absolutely right to not think of him 'that way'. Calm yourself, nothing bad happened. s x PS We dont have Black Friday. We just had Friday. It wasnt very black.
from raven72d :
Just be very clear with him about what you want. This is your senior year--- make it exactly what you want.
from raven72d :
awkward? why?
from stepfordtart :
*squeeze* C'mon. Tell the cyber world all about it. *pats your hand*. s x PS thanks so much for your note xxx
from englishsucks :
hugs. awkward is good.
from raven72d :
Thanks for the birthday wishes, Miss July Malaise! And for the lovely shout-out!
from stepfordtart :
Thank you! You are a sweetie! s x
from raven72d :
do well on math and everything else, girl! best wishes always.
from catsoul :
I love journals too!! The Pyramid Collection has some awesome journals. I also like the embossed celtic tree of life ones. You could ask for a few for Christmas. Then you will have another when you are done filling one up. So you are a Senior now. How time flies....that is for sure. Anyhoo, take care. =^..^=
from englishsucks :
you're too sweet ♥
from raven72d :
math and I never got along, but I'm glad to hear you're doing well at it.
from raven72d :
I was born in New Orleans; my dad was from Pittsburgh. We used to go visit there and in Johnstown. When I was at New Haven, I had a gf who went to CMU, and I went down there a few times. Saw the Warhol Museum, got stuck in a snowstorm on an Amtrak.
from raven72d :
My dad was from Pittsburgh, and I used to date a girl at Carnegie-Mellon. I like the city, but I recall some brutal winters there!
from sunflowerowl :
I missed you too! :) I've been doing just fine. I tried blogging at Tumblr, but that was a fail. I really missed Diaryland. How have you been? Your recent entry made me laugh. Exams in general are a huge pain in the butt, hope your SATs went well. Take care!
from retro-cat :
wow, a fight over a bag of chips?? was it doritas by any chance?lol. sorry, yeah i keep thinking those chips must've been very special.
from raven72d :
I could do without Pittsburgh winters, but I wouldn't mind a real winter here--- fireplaces and long wool coats and clear night skies. I hope you do have an excellent winter.
from raven72d :
Good luck on university! And...no tornados here, just a bit of cold weather after hard rain and a warm week. I'm looking forward to real seasonal weather.
from tsulnagrom :
yes! that rice krispies treats cereal was sooo good. they should bring those cereals back for a limited time!
from raven72d :
where will you be applying?
from raven72d :
Korean tacos! I like that! I love Korean food!
from college-kid :
I'll be honest with ya, dude-- unless you're applying for an Ivy League institution, chances are you'll get in. Especially if your GPA is above a 3.5. Don't worry about it. :)
from raven72d :
3000 entries since June of the Year Two... That does amaze me. Maybe I will celebrate!
from college-kid :
It wasn't /too/ bad, I wrote it all today. It was a comparative essay on whether violent video games induce violent behavior in young children. Pretty interesting! Just kinda difficult getting in the groove of things 'cause I haven't written an essay in... woah, I guess about 2 years now. D: But yeah, gettin' paid!
from raven72d :
Thanks, darlin'! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
from stepfordtart :
Any possibility he was hinting....? Just call me 'MatchmakerMum', heehee! s x
from raven72d :
Stars--- i do love their songs. glad they're on your iPod now.
from raven72d :
just look forward to university and a new world!
from raygirl999 :
Good luck! :-)
from college-kid :
You got this! :D Hope you feel better.
from retro-cat :
yeah i can't stand kim k. either!! i think her heads too big for her (her ego will blow up some day) and yeah the beaver boy does look like a girl..there was actually a girl auditioning on america's got talent in the summer who looked exactly like just!!!! it was sooo uncanny that the tweens in the audience were going all ga-ga over her until they found out she was a girl, lol.
from raygirl999 :
Congrats and good luck!! I can tell you college life is the best! You get to hang out with smart people who still like to have fun; you are challenged in a good way; and people start respecting your intelligence and personal autonomy. You aren't an extension of your parents anymore, you get to be your own person! College rocks!
from college-kid :
AHH! Congrats! I bet you'll get in no problem. (:
from raygirl999 :
Thanks for the note! Yeah my friends are getting to be a bit ridiculous and need to stop fighting and just chill out and grow up. My roommate is crazy about her cat. Too bad he is a little jerk and dirty as hell! Anyway, glad you weren't affected by the snowstorm too much. It snowed here is was pretty much gone the next day. Take care and always remember how awesome you are!
from newschick :
wait..you got thru almost all of HS with no coffee? INSANE! pity it's already snowing there..stay warm and try some java! ;)
from raven72d :
i love it when book packages arrive.
from raven72d :
Thanks for liking my writing!
from sduckie :
Yes I dream a lot! As you can probably tell. Dreaming is actually my favorite thing to do! :)
from retro-cat :
hey girl, don't keep me in suspense..haha..what book came in your mail??
from sparkle-pink :
That girl sounds like a pain in the ass. Give those who are younger than you a chance though! Some of the greatest friends I've ever had were a grade/year or 2 below me.
from raven72d :
The girl is, well...a jerk. It's not hard to master basic politeness; it really isn't. I can forgive almost anything except repeated rudeness. Hmmm...."scrubber"... I looked up the word in Urban Dictionary, and I'm still not clear on the etymology: how do you get from "scrub" to the meaning it has now? I'm not fond of "slut-shaming", of making fun of girls who have active sex lives--- I might make fun of their choices ("jeez, she's with an utter dork"), but not their right to be out looking for partners. I can get into a whole long rant about words like that, and one day I'll do an essay about Bad Girl Terms. In the meanwhile--- just don't do anything that would get you made into a rap song.
from stepfordtart :
Scrubber: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=scrubber ! What's with that girl?! If it was urgent, why did she not say so? Like "Im so sorry to interrupt, but I just HAD to tell you....". Silly moo. s x
from raven72d :
The larger journals are 5x7 or 6x8... They have lined ones, too. (Ummm...whatever is a "scrubber"?)
from stepfordtart :
I blame feminism! Heehee. I kind of dont mean that, but I do mean that its all very well being all GirlPower and 'claiming your right to be as sexual as you choose' but a scrubber is still a scrubber no matter if theyre male or female and shouldnt get bent out of shape if they get called out on it. Dont want to get called a ho? Dont be one! Sounds simple huh? Girls at my school are IMPOSSIBLE with all that stuff, I could slap them sometimes (but I dont think Im allowed!) s x
from raven72d :
The basic ten-dollar Moleskine is something like 3 x 5, but you can get a journal size... I like the graph-paper ones best.
from college-kid :
Thanks for the note. :D I love moleskin journals-- I always buy the ones with graph paper in them. I don't know why, I just enjoy journaling on graph paper. xD
from raven72d :
Moleskines are lovely little things--- I have a cache of them, so I won't be running out. When you buy "Lolita", let me know what you think. Nabokov is very sly and loves playing with his readers' heads. Let me know what you think of the 1997 film, too. Jeremy Irons is brilliant.
from stepfordtart :
Heeheehee! I love it when you go off on one, its ACE! Oh, btw, Charlie is ENGLISH, not British. The Scots and the Welsh and the Northern Irish would agree with me, Im sure! ; ) s x
from newschick :
we're still in ireland! but i want to move to texas. :)
from pink-sapfire :
Thanks so much, thanks for faving my page as well. When I'm on computer I'll be sure to return the favor
from elgan :
It's in the code. <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=http://yourblog.com/">
from raven72d :
oh, at LastFM, too....
from raven72d :
what do you want to major in? want to stay in PA or go off exploring for a university?
from raven72d :
You'll get into a good university. Don't panic. Which schools are you thinking about?
from retro-cat :
Oh yeah i remember the pansy..can't believe that guy actually said that to you when you fell, that must've been terrible for you! And don't worry, im sure you will do great and find the right college, btw, what do you want to be/do?
from stepfordtart :
Its a stressful time for sure - Im trying to help Jooj find a 6th Form College (16-18) and its a NIGHTMARE cos we also have to think about how this choice might help her get into the university she chooses. Get lots of help! (and good luck!) s x
from raygirl999 :
Haha thanks. My crazy roommate was talking about her cat being "excited" and I said that was gross as hell lol. She just wanted to be mean to me, whatever. I just keep on truckin!
from retro-cat :
I love what you wrote in what ticks you off! i forgot to mention that i also hate perverts and i should add those kid beauty pageants! and you like Belle & Sebastian? they are one of my favs. if you like them, you should check out Isobel Campbell and The Gentle Waves, she used to be in B&S and then she went solo and they had side projects as well.
from hitch-hike :
I got it from the now-defunct Pink Design. I tweaked the design by finding a nice pic of a cafe and changed the colors a little bit. It's so hard to find good d-land designs nowadays!!
from stepfordtart :
That was fun to read! Maybe I might steal it.... s x
from retro-cat :
Yeah my french teacher was a total douchebag!! My friend Madeline wanted help from him coz she was really stuck on a question and he yelled at her that she should know how to do that by now and he made her so upset that she got sick. He yelled at me for no reason at all when i was at my locker and he was yelling so loud that all the other teachers came out of their classrooms and he put me on the spot just becuz i was late going into his homeroom which was so untrue coz the bell didn't ring yet. He was definitely the teacher from hell!
from stepfordtart :
Yep, we caught em. Stoopid kids. I wrote about it here if you're interested - http://stepfordtart.diaryland.com/110805_92.html (scroll down, its near the bottom of the page). s x
from almostrachie :
Thank you for the prayers for her, and that story your mom told is definitely creepy, especially along with your dream! Yikes, hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
from raven72d :
Agreed!
from sparkle-pink :
Nice template change!
from stepfordtart :
Someone at the school I work at took a poop in the doorway of a science classroom. You've got to REALLY hate science to do that, huh?! I feel sorry for your teacher - I bet it was some scabby kid with a grudge. Meh. s x
from retro-cat :
That sucks donkey balls what happened to your nice teacher!!!! i hope they find whomever is responsible for this!! That happened to my French teacher, but he deserved it, he had this favorite mexican puppet on a string that he kept by his desk and this one time, some guys totally tied up the strings into millions of knots and hung the puppet up by its neck and they broke his compact mirror inside his desk..yeah my french teacher walked around always admiring himself in his mirror, what a sicko, hahaha. But he was mean to all the nice students, especially me and my friend madeline, he made her throw-up this one time, anyways, teachers who are very nice shouldn't have shit like that happen to them, only the ones who really deserve it like mr. sullivan! gawd i hate him!!!!
from raven72d :
Anytime! Music and books mean a lot to me.
from sparkle-pink :
Haven't read Love in the Time of Cholera but it's definitely on my to read list. I have though read 100 Years of Solitude which I loved. I recommend!
from raven72d :
She's done some wonderful covers of things--- "On Your Shore", "Song to the Siren", "Constant Craving". Do check her out.
from stepfordtart :
Here's a bit of stuff which mentions Dickens writing in installments: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Dickens. Oh, and maybe try William Makepeace Thakeray's Vanity Fair - its my favouritest book EVER! Bitchy women, amoral men - what's not to love?! s x
from newschick :
you're a senior!!!??? i remember when you were such a young thing :) and ps Brit Lit was one of my fave classes ever! enjoy it.
from raven72d :
Any time, girl! And while Dickens is hard to read, you might like some of Trollope or Hardy.
from stepfordtart :
Dickens! *shudder* Dont forget most of his stories were written in little bits, like a serial, to be published in magazines. They were sensationalist at the time. Im looking forward to hearing that they have given you something a bit more worthy to read in Brit Lit! s x
from raven72d :
'Bright Lights, Big City' is hilarious... And I do hope you like the Brit Lit class! Good luck on senior year, girl!
from almostrachie :
I agree with you about television! So many 'reality' shows now that you can hardly help but see one. It makes me feel like, "Are you just too lazy or uncreative to write a script? Are you too cheap to want to hire actual actors? So you just come up with a group of people to follow around with a camera?" And the worst part is, it's all so popular! Very annoying. The only thing I ever watch anymore is Glee, and other than that, I pretty much leave the TV off because I just can't take it all.
from athenyx :
I do like Gatsby; i'm drawn to tragic stories and it's definately a sad one. I got 60/60 on my exam for it somehow, so i'm looking forward to writing about it more! I'll let you know if the others are any good, they sound okay but who knows *shrugs* x
from athenyx :
Dickens is amazing. I've seen Oliver Twist at the Theatre Royal a couple of times - definately recommend it! Classes don't start up until the 26th - but i know three of Semester one's books are Ragged Dick, Letters from an American Farmer and The Great Gatsby. I only just did Gatsby at College so that one will be a breeze :-) x
from athenyx :
Our literature is pretty amazing, as is yours :-) What books are you studing at the mo? x
from retro-cat :
hey totally awesome girl!! how's it going? i hope that new orleans are okay! its been on the news about them..*fingers crossed*
from raven72d :
Thanks for the kind thoughts about the weather here! Much appreciated. We've had lots o' rain and some wind, but (fingers crossed) nothing major so far. I hope it stays that way!
from retro-cat :
hey girl! glad you are doing great!! yeah it must've been real scary for ya, i could only imagine. thankfully the storm weakened..we did get strong winds and some rain and it cooled things off for 2 days but now its back to the heatwave.
from raven72d :
I looked at a Kindle... It might be fun, but I really do worry about my eyes. I am going to have to get real glasses (and not just drugstore reading glasses) soon.
from raven72d :
I know what you mean... I like the actual books themselves--- the way they feel and look. And my eyes are bad, so worry about what reading all night on a Kindle would do to them.
from retro-cat :
yeah its all over the news, oh wow! cannot believe it that its heading for NY..its a category 2 now so hopefully it will weaken as it approaches. stay safe!
from raygirl999 :
I swear the fact that I am moving to NYC next week is making all of this bad weather happen! An earthquake a week before I move and now a hurricane 3 days before I move! I hope you guys stay safe!
from raven72d :
Glad it wasn't closer to you! Anyway--- weekend plans?
from retro-cat :
thankfully we're all okay over here :) the thunder did sound more like an earthquake to me, it was really scary and it lasted nearly all night! btw, my livejournal works again, yay!:)
from raven72d :
anytime, bella! (did you feel any of today's earthquake?)
from stepfordtart :
I just checked the BBC but they havent mentioned it so I guess it wasnt a terribly big one - will let you know if the news makes it across the pond! Glad youre all safe. s x
from koorikaze :
I was sitting in the computer room when I felt the floor shake. Thankfully, my family is ok and so far no damage has been found. Glad you are safe!
from stepfordtart :
We can do Paris FOR LUNCH from here! Its about an hour or so flight time is all. *brags* s x
from stepfordtart :
Heehee! I thought that might amuse you! This town (not Southampton, but the one I live in now which is the one you've seen) is actually pretty crummy but the north side of the town is kind of OK - we're near to the countryside but still only about a 10 min drive from Southampton (or 10 mins to Winchester if you head in the other direction!). Glad you enjoyed your little nosey around! Off to do laundry now (even tho its raining so there'll be no way I can hang it to dry outside) : ( s x
from stepfordtart :
PS will you delete the note with the link in it when youve finished looking around? Thanks very much, dear. s x
from stepfordtart :
If you zoom in a little on the map, just to the left of the "A" marker is a little street that looks like a lasso. Thats my street. If you go onto 'street view' and have a look around, my house is the one with the orange car on the drive! s x
from raven72d :
"Anna Karenina" is wonderful! And you must read Bulgakov's "The Master & Margarita", too!
from stepfordtart :
Hello dear! My girls drove to Wales with their dad and caught a ferry to Ireland - it takes pretty much a whole day to get there like that. Ive been a couple of times (to a different part of Ireland) but I went by plane. The airport is quite near my house and its less than an hour flight time so much more convenient! The wedding singing went fine - but all the old ladies cried when we sang Amazing Grace and all the young ones cried when we sang Over The Rainbow! s x
from retro-cat :
that sky would totally freak me out too! i tried to upload my pics on this site but you have to be a gold member to do that :( i used to upload pics first on my livejournal and then copy them to diaryland but now that my livejournal is still down, i can't upload images here anymore either.
from sparkle-pink :
You have to register an account with Pottermore but registration is closed until October. They did a limited early registration to basically test out the site before opening it to everyone. Right now they're gradually letting in the people who registered early and so far I'm not one of those people! I'm anxiously awaiting my welcome e-mail so I can be sorted and get my wand!
from raven72d :
hey, girl! how has the summer gone? any fall plans yet? what's on your to-read list?
from stepfordtart :
Yay! You updated! Ive not seen that painting before but I like it, and I can deffo imagine what the storm was like. If the vacay is too much to put in one entry, just break it up into manageable chunks and do a bit when you feel like it - then its not so daunting. I need to update, too, and now my kids are away (gone to Ireland with their dad) I should have a bit more time. Im singing at a wedding tomorrow - fingers crossed I dont fuck it up! s x
from raygirl999 :
Wow that weather sounds crazy. Glad you all are ok!
from stepfordtart :
Those are from my hometown: Southampton. Look at a map of the UK and its right at the bottom, in the middle, opposite the diamond shaped island. s x
from stepfordtart :
Urgh! Blogger's Block! I hate that. Take a couple of pictures of your neighbourhood and write something like a travelogue? I did one once and people seemed to like it. See! http://stepfordtart.diaryland.com/070218_14.html s x
from stepfordtart :
Awww, thanks dear! But ssssh, really, there was nothing much artistic going on there. Just cartoon fish - nothing I could really call 'original art' or anything. Thanks again for your kind words.....now when are you going to update???? s x
from athenyx :
Sure thing :-) And thank you for saying that x
from raygirl999 :
Well we like your updates so keep us posted!
from raygirl999 :
Thanks! I hope your summer vacation has been going well :-)
from retro-cat :
You totally rock too!!:) oh i was having oodles of problems yesterday trying to update my livejournal but its working fine now. They had a 2 day ddos attack on the entire place but they finally fixed the problem. Hopefully yours is working now.
from retro-cat :
Hey bestie! thanks for the super-duper kind words! :)
from retro-cat :
Have a groovy time in NJ!! Say "hi" to The Situation for me, okay? i was happy to see Little Joy on your music list :)
from stepfordtart :
Squeeeeeeee! *does Madonna dance* Hol-i-day-ay! Ce-le-bray-ate! Have a splendid time - look forward to hearing about it when you get back. s x PS Im disproportionately thrilled to bits that I recognise several of the songs on your playlist!
from retro-cat :
I was like that at some point in my life too, people were walking all over me and being mean to me no matter how nice and sweet i was to them so i started to become like them but in the long run i found out that i just want to be me and if noone likes who i am, they don't like how i dress or act or they don't understand my quirkyness or they just plain don't get me than they can fuck off. But i just didn't want to go down to their wickedness level so i stayed nice and sweet. Don't change for anyone just because they are mean, they are the ones with the problems. What the world needs more of are nice, geniunely kind-hearted people but if everyone is going to become horrible than there won't be any sweetness left. Anyways, its good to stand up for yourself, but don't lose your sweetness, i like you the way you are :)
from stepfordtart :
Hoorah for you! (And Boooo for KK. And Paris Hilton. And all those other 'famous for being famous' nincompoops). s x
from retro-cat :
Totally totally agree with you on Kim K.!! She was on Dancing With the Stars i think it was 2 seasons ago, she was sooooo freakin' bad!! She doesn't even know how to dance. Than she was running around with Louis Hamilton thinking he actually liked her, duh! She's such a loser! Anyways, can you give me your livejournal addy?? i'll add ya :)
from raygirl999 :
Haha I don't like Kim K. either. She is famous for nothing and is not even smart and interesting. She is a terrible role model for anyone!
from retro-cat :
awesome! you should join livejournal too, that would be way groovy. anyways, oh what was it you wanted to tell me? or was it about your friends blog? hope she gets her livejournal started, i'd like to add her.
from stepfordtart :
No worries. I'll check it out over at LJ. I used to write for magazines (though you'd never know it from my diary HAHAHA!) so anytime your friend needs a hand, all she has to do is ask. I look forward to reading some more. s x
from retro-cat :
hey girl, i went into your friend's page and tried leaving her a note, hope it worked. if not, just tell her that i said "hi" and i like her page a lot.
from stepfordtart :
I left your friend a note - dont want to be too school-mistressy but I think I could help her get some impact in her writing. Maybe she would let me help her? s x
from retro-cat :
Yeah i know what you mean about job hunting, it can really suck! I send a bagful of luck your way and hope things will turn around for ya :) Russian is hard to learn. I only know ya youbloo (spelling is bad i know, lol) which means i love you and sonse swayse (sun is shining) and of course da means yes and comrade means friend. I love learning Swedish a lot. Yay for retro hair :) yeah i need to get me more bobby pins too. I've done my hair in a 40s snood too, that is fun, its that material net bag for the hair. Francesca Lia Block is my most fav. writer ever..she is so much fun!
from stepfordtart :
Hey Girlie! See if your local college has any native Russian speakers who would help you with learning Russian. Our local colleges are FULL of foreign students who do that kind of stuff - hey, you could even ask your school administration, maybe there's a Russian speaker at school you could team up with. We have Ukrainian kids in my school who speak Russian. s x
from retro-cat :
hey groovy friend :)) the comic is really groovy, i know you'd love it too! yup liam is a hottie!! check out his other film "taken". and here's a tutorial i used for doing pincurls..hope it helps..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZTF8cGliqY and thanks for suggesting that fountains of wayne song..loooove it!!!!! omg its gonna be 41 humidex tomorrow, luckily i have a great francesca lia block book to read..its about a girl who turns into a werewolf, its not your typical hairy story..haha..i just had to say that, anyways its really a good read! :)
from raven72d :
I love "Gatsby", too. A favourite.
from retro-cat :
Annnnnddd..my most fav. album at the moment is Something To Die For - The Sounds (this band is also Swedish and totally rock!!) :)

from jaysthoughts :
Boredom comes from within. If you've got your whole and infinite mind and the world wide web at your fingertips and you still find yourself insufficiently entertained, it's not for external reasons. Maybe you just need a good engaging conversation. :)
from trapeze-act :
I don't know what music you like, but I'm totally digging Bat For Lashes right now. She's so fucking amazing you'll want to be her when you're done listening to her CD. Look up the song "Glass", that's my personal favorite right now. Also, Bird and the Bee is a good band. Look up the song "Fucking Boyfriend".
from raygirl999 :
Books for fun: anything by James Patterson, Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Linda Fairstein, Patricia Cornwell, John Grisham, Harlen Coben. They all have dozens of books so you could read their stuff for years. None of them are classics like John Steinbeck but they are solid, entertaining reads. Mainly mysteries and thrillers. Stephen King does horror of course and Dean Koontz does some horror as well.
from retro-cat :
hiya awesome girl!!! missed ya too! glad your back! :)
from college-kid :
It's a lot of fun! I'm not sure how far along you are in your novel, but when you feel like giving Roleplay a try, send me a message, I'd love to help you get started. :)
from raygirl999 :
Hello, thanks for the note! I'm so glad you didn't end up getting in a fight. Being a supportive friend is very important but getting into physical fights is not the way to go. You would end up getting arrested over some loser anyway. Just ignore the person completely. Like even if you see him in public, ignore him so he looks like he is unimportant and pathetic. And yes I love Kashi food. I eat the cereal every day and it gives me energy to go to work haha. I want to try their energy bars and other things.
from stepfordtart :
Glad you saw sense there, girl. There's not much that can be solved by punching someone out....no matter how much fun it might be at the time! ; ) s x
from stepfordtart :
WTF???? Good God, Sammie! Update soon please - your cyber-mum is worrying about you! s x
from stepfordtart :
Im updating too! s x
from raven72d :
i'm still updating!
from anna-popcorn :
The sadest thing is that she never got the letter, actually. i almost cried when i found that out

from retro-cat :

from and-the-way :
me too! that's probably why i have trouble sleeping at night all the time. my brain just wants to keep going.
from fangbanger :
Haha, yeah that's him. I couldn't remember his name when I was writing. :D
from retro-cat :
ohmigod, hahahahahahahahahaahahha!! okay i know its not meant to be funny, but all those names you call those creeps made me crack up! that sucks that they are being nasty to you!! yeah you give it to them good and hard tomorrow! i hate smelly people too, especially in the movie theater when they sit right in front of me and my friend! i don't even wanna go there. you would've been cracking up at us..we were doing funny faces and holding our noses and swatting the air.
from and-the-way :
Sometimes I get in moods where I take a bazillion personality quizzes online, haha. This is the one for the spirit animals: http://www.jerismithready.com/quiz
from omfggwtf :
thank you! i saw your little note about it on your profile ;). i'll be starting it tomorrow x
from retro-cat :
thank you :) we should be getting another car tomorrow, fingers crossed! but our cellphone is finished, we have to get a new one :( anyways, hahahaha..i cracked up on "penis-head", does that guy seriously look like one?? hahaha. anyways, not very nice of him to talk behind your back with his pauly-birdie. Yeah male subs can be super cute! i forgot what else was i gonna say? oh yeah, we had loads of snow yesterday and mom had to cancel classes. Its always fun to be able to stay home from school!
from sassymcgee :
Yeah I do like that show. Her talk show just has this under-layer of fakeness to it that seeps into the show. I don't know...I could just be cuckoo. But you already knew that lol.
from newschick :
woo hoo for the lefties! :) awesome. i used to stay up late, but that just made me groggy as hell the next day. early to bed sets me up for a better tomorrow. :)
from famoustn :
Thanks! Haha. I know. I feel a little bit relieved!
from fangbanger :
Haha, yeah you are right! Alone time is very good indeed :), I enjoy it a lot. x
from retro-cat :
Congrats on your exams!! hahahah, i cracked up on UFO! i would loooove to see what Euroboy looks like!!
from sparkle-pink :
Hi! I do like your journal very much, you seem like a really great person. If you want to read mine, the username is sparklepink and the password is envelope.
from raygirl999 :
Thanks for the add! I was looking for new diaries to read yesterday and yours looked very cool. :-)
from retro-cat :
good-luck on your exams! how many do you have to do? yay for ice storms and getting to stay home from school! when we lived in ottawa, there was a huge ice storm and school was cancelled for 3 weeks!
from sassymcgee :
No you passed it! Think positive! :D
from famoustn :
Thank you very much.
from retro-cat :
nope, unfortunately no other teacher heard her, and she never got into trouble, she was a horrible monster! she told us that the class won't be judged on our own opinions on certain things during the exam and that she won't be biased with our arguments, but it was all a lie coz if she didn't like what someone wrote, they got a bad mark and she'd argue that what she thinks is the right way, and if you were shy, she'd put you on the spot in front of the whole class and degrade you (she done that enough to me to make me physically sick!). And the other evilness in school was my french teacher, gawd he was horrid!! he'd line the students up and smell their armpits coz he said some poeple in class stink (i wasn't one of the stinky people..LOL, thankfully) but he demanded everyone to wear deodorant or they couldn't come into his class, there's so much more i could write about him..ugh!!
from retro-cat :
oh wow butt-rubbing, that happened to me too, i accidentally smashed my butt up against a guy i liked, right on the front part of him, it was soooo embarrassing that i wanted to climb inside my locker and close the door and never come out! but it turned out that the guy didn't even know what i had done, so much for being totally paranoid, maybe your crush didn't know what happened or maybe he's even more crushing on you now..heh! i know the feeling though, give it some time and ask him to the formal, boys forget things easily anyways, im sure it will be fine. and that cavewoman sub..eeeeek!!!!! she reminds me of my religion teacher..she spoke out at students really nasty if anyone swore or even said the word "damn" and this one time she got smoking mad and she told these guys at their locker to stop f***kin' around!..everyone was like shocked at her when she was saying that only evil demons with bad upbringing swore, hahaha..she swallowed her own words! Congrats on doing great on your test!
from retro-cat :
oookay, my crush starts with the letter "s" and his of another gender..boo-hoo to me :( good-luck girl on that Italian speech test!
from raven72d :
thanks!
from stepfordtart :
Its a sign! ASK HIM ASK HIM ASK HIM ASK HIM ASK HIM! (Go on!). s x
from retro-cat :
we got hit by snow today but not too much, it was white out conditions so i couldn't get to the library, and the snowstorms are going to hit on Tuesday and Wednesday with 10 cm..ugh!!
from fangbanger :
Yay I am back!! Hope you will still like what I write as much as last time! :). Happy new year. Hope you are ok!! :) x
from retro-cat :
thank you :D noone's back in school until next week here, that must suck that you had to go back so early! anyways, your cougar project sounds way cool!! and good-luck with EuroBoy, me thinks its gonna be a great year for ya!!
from raven72d :
I love the Mummers Parade! And as for you, girl--- good luck on the school project...and go ask Euro Boy to the formal!
from glitterbomb- :
i've just been exploring diaryland and found yours... I liked the Harry Potter movie too... I only saw it a couple weeks ago, but I loved the book too :)
from famoustn :
Thanks! I added you too!
from raven72d :
thanks, girl! and a happy Year Eleven to you!
from famoustn :
Here's a link to the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4p0kWnEK-A If that doesn't work, just go to youtube and type in "meeting fran drescher!" and it should be the first video. :)
from raven72d :
there's a tiny little Chinese takee-outee place that makes the best Singapore mei fun... or I may go to a seriously nice sit-down place for their Mongolian beef... but there will be champagne at midnight. and you?
from retro-cat :
yay that they brought back rugrats! i wish they would bring back the muppet show! have a fun New Year, hope you have fun partying too!
from strayrecluse :
nope, i've been meaning to get my first tattoo for so so so long but don't want to get it for the world to see, you know? so i've spent a lot of time really thinking about what to get and where so that i don't regret it later on.
from strayrecluse :
i just found it randomly and thought it was perfect for what i want.
from retro-cat :
hope you are having tons of fun during the holidays!! and yay for apples in stereo!!!!
from retro-cat :
Euro boy sounds super exciting, i'd give him a few subtle hints, erm..you know what i used to do? i used to draw cartoon pics of the guy i liked and taped them on his locker and he thought i was the goofiest girl ever but it worked coz he asked me to the dance :)
from famoustn :
Yes I was! They actually aired my part! I have a picture of it, if you want to see it?
from stepfordtart :
BUK-BUK-BUK-BUKAAAAAAAA!!! (thats a chicken noise, in case it doesnt translate very well!). Whats the worst that could happen. He says no? The world wouldnt actually end.....and there's always a chance he'll say yes. Go onnnnnnnnnn. s x
from pink-sapfire :
awesome diary I'll be adding you if that is okay
from famoustn :
At her tawk show in LA.
from stepfordtart :
Ummmmm.....ask him? s x
from retro-cat :
hahaha..R.L.Stine is actually a guy, you can google his pic, he's sort of scary looking. i used to watch Goosebumps on YTV all the time, i <3 that show so much, its so sad that it got cancelled. The Red Balloon is such a great film of childhood innocence and cruelty, hope you will be able to see this film.
from famoustn :
It was amazing! She came out and I started crying and then they told me to go and give her a hug and I did and I told her how I'm naming my daughter after her.
from retro-cat :
yay for Euro boy!!
from famoustn :
yes I did! :)
from ping-island :
thank you! this year is a year for holiday spirit :P
from omfggwtf :
haaaahaha i know. i was quite stunned when i saw all that but oh well.. i can't be bothered to get upset about it right now. i am just grateful i don't feel the need to hurt people in such a stupid, pathetic way by hiding my name and my face. bloody people.. but yeah you're right. waste of time to think about it!
from ping-island :
oh shit, i didn't mean to leave it locked! i was messing with the template and i didn't want people seeing my mistakes :( thank you for telling me, it should be unlocked now!
from omfggwtf :
i knooow! i prefer the first two but they're too expensive for poor old me hahaah. had to settle for something cheaper but it's still sort of the same! and oh no.. well the snow here is crap, there's so little of it in my area. it's all just iced over or some has melted.. it should snow again soon though, i think :O
from retro-cat :
oh wow, i'd be freaking out if there was a tornado warning here!!! although we actually had twisters in southern ontario which is weird coz i always thought they came from texas. anyways, hope you won't have a twister! that uber-euro guy sounds way cool!!! good-luck with him! hahaha..i wouldn't have screamed either to see a mouse running around. we actually had a rat this one time inside the science lab, poeple have a way of panicking when it comes to little things.
from retro-cat :
hey girl! got your message. miss ya! when are you updating??
from animejournal :
heya! Missed you!
from kelms28 :
OH definitely. DJ is the sweetest thing. He hugs me every morning like he hasn't seen me in years :3 It's just wonderful. Haha, the nicknames you use are frickin awesomee!!
from retro-cat :
ohmeegod, that is such a heroic thing you did for your friend!!! i would've been sooo nervy if i would've had to fill out police forms..eeeek!! but hopefully that asshole won't bother your friend anymore!! Oh i found out from a friend of mine that The Killers have not broken up, they just took time off and Brandon has a solo album called Flamingo and he was on MTV Live but i thought his song was soo totally boring!!
from strawberrri :
I sadly haven't had the nickelodeon channel for several years so I have no idea what they show on there anymore! I think it's all the new rubbish though. I loved it mid to late 90s. We used to get marathons like 'Sabrina Sunday' where it would just be that one programme played alllll day (and I would often watch all of them!).
from sexonatable :
I know I missed you too! The old man is the old married man!! The one that I always talk about theres a pic some where in my history of him
from retro-cat :
i hate maths too!! btw im reading Lisi Harrison's My Little Phony..its soo good!!! have you read that one?
from strawberrri :
hey, yep, the secret world of alex mack...probably the best programme on nickelodeon ever. also loved rocko, hey arnold, sister sister and sabrina <3 party pics coming soon. sorry to hear about your detention but nice one getting out of it!
from ping-island :
imo coconut cakes are the worst. they're just COVERED in shredded coconut and the texture is so bad. at least with those cookies you only have to put up with the taste! just thinking about one of those cakes makes me want to barf a little. D:
from college-kid2 :
Aww, thanks for being so encouraging! I sincerely appreciate it. =)
from ping-island :
people tried to give it to me ALL THE TIME before i started saying i was allergic. i was a girl scout and there was that one cookie, caramel delites, that had coconut? yeah. i'm just glad i told my troop leaders i was allergic before they started making me eat those.
from raven72d :
Beignets! They're NOLA-famous...from the Cafe du Monde in New Orleans... And jambalaya when it's done well is just brilliant...
from omfggwtf :
sounds really interesting haha. i read about the series, it sounds good. when i get some money together i'll have to buy them altogether or something. thank you :) x
from raven72d :
She's the *other* nymphet, the girl Humbert is supposed to tutor. When the McCoos have a house fire, Humbert needs a new job and ends up meeting Lolita and her mother and boarding at their house. Ginny McCoo--- to the Ginny who's my friend in Montreal ---is the story that didn't happen, the possibility of *another* path the novel could've taken. And I always wanted to write a story about her at 19 or 20, about how she turned out.
from retro-cat :
yeah i've been having freaky dreams lately. im glad your locker situation is going great :) your Greek Mythology class sounds like fun!! and Spanish gay jokes..haha. I know several swear words in Spanish, its fun using them when noone knows wtf i'm saying. hahaha..that red suited fan cracked me up! its funny when they do that, especially during a soccer match when sometimes they run around in the nudie pants. it also happened one time during a formula one race, the guy was clearly insane walking on the track, so dangerous and he was advertising for a casino, he had it written in big black letters on his back.
from omfggwtf :
thank youuu! that pretty little liars thing sounds like it'll probably be right up my street aha, sounds like i'd enjoy it.. and i've always wanted to read the bell jar but i've never actually got round to it. i'm so lazy when it comes to buying books :| i used to go to the library but they don't have a very wide selection so i just usually stand there for about 20 minutes trying to find a few books and then walking out with none ahah. i'll read about the books you suggested though and see what i think from there ;)! thank you again xo.
from raven72d :
See the film first, I think. But do read the book. Oddly (yes, I worked in a bookstore for a while in school), you wouldn't believe how many girls fall in love with the book in high school...
from raven72d :
It's a very wonderfully funny and sad and complex novel... See the film, too. Jeremy Irons is perfect in it.
from killsoft :
why?
from raven72d :
Miss Ginny, yes--- she's Genevieve, but she took her blog name from Ginny McCoo in "Lolita".
from greenteacup :
i have no idea!! there are too many places- where would you suggest in the US?
from dia4 :
No...I'm not going anywhere just yet. ~wry smile~ I'm just musing aloud.
from killsoft :
skeet skeet
from raven72d :
I'll be watching No Reservations online... I don't regret giving up cable--- I can use the extra money, and I want to give myself more time at night to read and review French.
from retro-cat :
oh wow, yeah you do have a chaotic situation here..i would get together with those 2 friends, sit down, share some yummy candies and talk about how you feel about the locker, tell them about your concerns that it may be bad in the long run to share and that the locker isn't big enough and you might be worried that they might lose their stuff or not be able to find a book when they need it right away, and maybe they will start to think that its not such a good idea after all..i don't know what else to suggest but i know from experience that honesty and being sincere and discussing things really can work for the better..well i hope that they will understand and that everyone will be happy.
from avantbedroc :
:-) i love humor, oh, & sometimes i don't exist
from ping-island :
i only just now read your previous entry, but if you need to talk about anything just let me know. :)
from avantbedroc :
hello. i saw some funny notes you left round othr ppls dland note pages
from sassymcgee :
LOL! Exactly!!! Funny thing is that my writing is actually pretty serious analytical stuff. What I write on here is how I talk to my peeps in real life...I'm a goofball.
from retro-cat :
hahaha..kiwi-a-gogo-land! i hope you will find the book you are looking for soon! *cross me fingers*
from retro-cat :
whhaaaaaa?? what dilemma? i'd like to help if i could. does it have to do with a boy?
from retro-cat :
oh wow, i didn't know these books are hard to find where you are. a friend of mine from the UK introduced me to the first 3 books, and then i found the rest at the library. i hope you will be able to read all of them..away on a fast camel was my fav. of all of them when georgia goes to hamburger-a-gogo land.:)
from omfggwtf :
well if i'm being honest, i haven't even looked yet hahaha. but i really need to get on with it, limbo is such an awful place to be. there's nothing going on, so it's all incredibly boring hahah. and yeah i get what you mean. my parents are the same but they're too soft on me, and let me get my own way still. bless them! but good luck in finding something anyway :). i think i'm destined for an office job somewhere, stuck in a dead end job for life ahah x
from retro-cat :
hahaha..harry potter fun!! oh i meant to ask ya, did you get around to reading the final Georgia book, Are These My Basoomas I See Before Me? it was soooo good!!!! its sad though that there will be no more in the series :(
from kelms28 :
Thank you :D Of course I wouldn't mind, I'ma add you too okay? :]
from sexonatable :
haha I know im sorry I will make a giant entry soon!!
from raven72d :
I have the Tare Panda Laptop, Toshi Tare Panda--- my little Toshiba A210.
from raven72d :
what kind of new computer did you get?
from journalmine :
Oo, I like the new layout. Pretty picture! And, yes, high speed and new laptop are awesome. Dude! I saw that crazy chicken mcnuggets woman, too! Beetch was insane!
from raven72d :
I'm having laptop problems myself, so I really sympathise about being without internet!
from ping-island :
it really is awful. to see her reaction, you'd think i'd said "instead of going to college i am going to rob some banks and then go on a killing spree." and you might be right about the friends thing, i dunno.
from retro-cat :
Yay she's back :) I just got really bored with everything lately, i think its coz the heatwave has been going on for way too long here and the fact that i have a lot of work to do..ugh! but yeah i might update soon. Its soo cool that you got a laptop!!
from englishsucks :
thank you love♥
from englishsucks :
I'm still alive, sorry for scaring you. I'm just struggling with a lot of things in these days but I'll make it through.♥
from animejournal :
Yes! I am a big Argentina and Spain fan when it comes to the world's football! LOL
from owlheart :
seriously, i hate that. it's like, "open your eyes!" and when they finally realize that the other person is wrong, then they feel they were right all along and never admit you saw it all first. blah! i'm okay now though. i just remind myself that i have more good people than bad people in my life <3
from greenteacup :
it's a really cute band :). my summer isn't too bad thanks! the weather's awesome in london, it's never usually hot- but i've got nothing to do all the time. how's yours? :) xxxx
from retro-cat :
That tornado was pretty scary stuff!! We had several in Southern Ontario and there was the earthquake but we didn't feel it. My mom loves the Fratellis too! the Pretty Liars Club show isn't that good, the books are soo much better!
from omfggwtf :
hahaha yes! it was appalling! i was really getting into it, and everyone was like YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! and then 2 seconds later it was taken off, and everyone just went insane aha. we went downstairs to the bar to get drunk after the 4th goal was scored.. terrible. and yes, burger king ;) i got a burger that was bigger than my head. lovely.
from greenteacup :
ps love the songs you downloaded :) you might like the wombats if you haven't heard of them.xxx
from greenteacup :
miss you too! xx
from alethia :
I hope you are correct. I really hope you are correct.
from retro-cat :
yay!! i'm glad you like Sleeper, they rule!! they broke up in the late 90s i believe, such a shame! also love The Fratellis!! They're new album is even better than their 1st one.
from stepfordtart :
Aww, thanks for the kind words! I took quite a few of those pictures and Treacle took the rest - its actually quite hard to not get a good photo at the quarry, cos its such a photogenic place! Good luck with the job thing. s x
from omfggwtf :
hahaha yes.. i'ev just spent like two and a half hours cleaning my room.. all because my mum said i had to because a new tv was coming in my rooms. ohhh it was horrible. but yay.. new tv ;)
from omfggwtf :
waheey ;) thaaaaaaank you.
from omfggwtf :
oh well good luck! haha yeah i just finished college with a qualification for i.t and computing, so i guess i'll be stuck in a dead end office job, which is fine by me.. sitting around ahahah. and oh no i hate the football. i mean yeah it'll probably be good to join in with being patriotic with the country but i just can't aha. i keep hearing people outside yelling now. by the sounds of it, england just scored! x
from omfggwtf :
same! i need a job so bad. i mean, looking for one would probably help... i'm so lazy argh aha. and yeaaah i'm good. the football is on soon, world cup and all, so dull.. i'm going to hide while it's on aha x
from omfggwtf :
:O! aw that is very sweet aha, of course i don't mind, and i just saw your little note about me ;) thanks! aha. i'm adding you too :) so how are you on this fine day? x
from owlheart :
thank you! :)
from retro-cat :
hahahaha..yeah my aunt has a crush on her KFC man! she keeps asking me if he's still alive. Pretty Liars, i think there's a show now on that? i've watched it a bit a while back.
from owlheart :
hello! :)
from raven72d :
just added you at LastFM under your new account...
from raven72d :
leave her a note at LastFM to tell her to update! and i hope your summer is doing well...
from retro-cat :
Hey sweetie, yup i can't wait for my aunt to come, she's so wonderful! anyways, thanks again for being a great friend. luv ya too!
from retro-cat :
Hiya sweetie!! Thank you soo much for the lovely things you wrote, hugs to ya!! Me and mom are still in shock becuz it was just so sudden. I'm so sorry to hear about Johnny's brother, he was too young to go that fast!! Anyways, my auntie is flying over to be with us for 3 weeks and she will be able to see the dance recital, its going to be great to have her around! I haven't seen her since i was 9 years old! I'm already getting soo excited!!
from animejournal :
it's cool sometimes it takes me a while to respond to things too.
from animejournal :
Review from last year? Funny, friendly, entertaining, but do not cross you! lol I always enjoy reading your journals. They are light-hearted and breezy! Yea, last year was a drag. This year should promise success!
from retro-cat :
hiya groovy girl! a review..hmmm..i would say you are super-fab, brainfully creative, and super-duper sweet like a glitter lollipop..(erm..haha..was that weird? i didn't mean to sound like that, anyways, you are cool, totally!) :)
from stepfordtart :
Hello dear! A review? Golly! I'd be terrible at that - I even correct Jooj's grammar when she's on MSN!! Here's my review: "I like reading your diary. It makes me smile. Mostly because I am old and you are young." There! Finished! (told you I'd be terrible!). s x
from raven72d :
Darlin'... You must try Korean tacos. The spices and kimchi are just...killer.
from sunflowerowl :
Thank you! Hey, do you remember a site called, Diary-x? It was a blog host. Around 2006 it shut down for good and I was so nervous that D-land would be next, but lucky for us that hasn't happened and I hope it never does. Anyway, hope you have a great day! :)
from retro-cat :
ohmigod..i tried to add you on my last fm page but i totally forgot the user name that i picked..duh me! how's tricks? my friend at work kept on asking me that today..gah! what do they mean by that anyways? LOL.
from raven72d :
"Backyardigans" is just...wonderfully strange. And I do sing the Wonder Pets Song.
from sunflowerowl :
The same thing happened to me once. I thought Diaryland had been shut down for good and I was so close to crying. I hate Diaryland scares! lol! I'm glad we're all still here and I agree, Diaryland better not shut down. I will be so depressed.
from greenteacup :
That crash freaked me out too! And I love Kiss Kiss Bang Bang :p hope you enjoy it :) xxx
from retro-cat :
hiya, ohmigod i was seriously freaking out too when diaryland disappeared! i did up a diary at livejournal but its just not the same without all my friends here. oh i found you on that music page thingy, you can ignore the note i left ya, since everything is back to normal..yay!! Happy St. Patrick's day to ya!
from sexonatable :
I totally thought of you to when it wouldnt work I was like omg i am never going to talk to her again I was sad :( Also I went and signed up for another blog sight and decided to take all my old entries from this and put them there one by one just in case since my diay is like ancient and I would die if I lost all of those memories!!!!
from alt-life :
Hey! I added you to my favorites because I loved your diary! :)
from sunflowerowl :
Yes! I'm back here for good. I missed D-land!
from sexonatable :
OMG HAHAHA THE SONG The Filet of Fish song I totally saw the fish on the wall thing at Walgreens the other day and it sings the song its hystarical haha you should buy it hahaha... Anyway wanted to tell you brown eyed boys are good! I urge your friend to introduce you :)
from anna-popcorn :
the entry is called "Stockholm Syndrome" (not sure if i spelt that right.) anyway, though... they are weird kids, let me tell you.
from anna-popcorn :
i don't know if they have d-land. all i know is they super web searched my name and found like, anything and eeything i've ever done online. kinda creepy, when you really think about it. but then they found this and decided to read it. I'm writing an entriy on what scam they pulled today if you'd like to check it out.
from retro-cat :
how was the encounter with the brown-eyed brown-haired dude? hope he was everything you imagined him to be :)
from raven72d :
so keep us posted on this date thing...
from anna-popcorn :
oh... it was sheepdog orangutang and Zzach. they found my diary and apperently went right to reading it. but i'm sick of yo-yo ing... locking it, unlocking it... so i just said "F-You!" and kept it open.
from newschick :
yo, wordpress IS confusing! i'm actually not messing much with all the stuff so i have no idea how to format anything, i'm just taking it as it's given to me. i'd prefer a blogger, but i have a google web site and they would link and i would not be anonymous anymore! :( so i'm stuck on wordpress. i'll still check here to read up on you guys, but i just couldn't take the freaking slow server and basic html stuff. too 2002 for me. ;) take care
from stepfordtart :
Hey! Come over and watch my video! You can hear me speaking and everything! (And you can pick up recipe tips!). s x
from retro-cat :
mmmmm..lobster!! i love figure-skating too! yess..the pairs all looked lovely..i loved the American black pair the most and it scared me the way he swooped her down like that! i would've given them a standing-O too! tonight is the men's short..can hardly wait and i also watched a bit of curling. c ya.
from retro-cat :
Yay for Wayne Gretsky! Watched the ceremonies too. Yeah very sad about the luge boy!! When i first saw the footage on tv, my thought was that there is no way anyone could survive an impact like that. It's soo sad!! My computer is the shitzig at the moment, i still can't get rid of the virus!:( I usually play backyard baseball with friends in the summer in the park, never heard of the actually video game though. Anyways, i'm off to watch some speed skating..love Ono!
from animejournal :
"Oh spare me if you please!" That song is addictive! lol Sick and Tired! lol
from animejournal :
I am such a dickhead! lol But yea, just keep working on communication before you decide anything. He may seem hot right now, but who knows you might decide you don't like him or decide that you like him even more if you just gat to know him a little more. Get to the point where you can FREELY talk to one another. If you talk in class, just keep saying hi like you know this person. That's what I do to everybody. Once you start a convo with me, I'm like your friend for life! So I say hi. Just like you Julymalaise. If I saw you on the street, I would chitchat with you as if I've known you forever! lol I'm like that.
from sugar-pain :
Haha! That's awesome! I'm happy for you! ♥ :D
from sexonatable :
hahaha your so funny I love it glad you got a snow day!
from elgan :
Thanks, dear. I appreciate your note.
from retro-cat :
There's snow over here too but not so much, we were supposed to get 20 centimeters..ugh! That casanova guy..creeeeepy!! why is it that the ugly guys always big themselves up into thinking they are super good-lookin' when sadly they are not?
from fangbanger :
Ahh thanks :). I'm feeling ok about it, I just think my mum should hurry up and talk to my dad about it now that she has made her decision. Hopefully this will be really soon!! It is just a strange concept to get used to... x
from raven72d :
how's the snow?
from raven72d :
i love the new layout!
from retro-cat :
I totally cracked up reading about Ewan..he sounds so hilarious!! Guys can be so stinkin' funny.
from sexonatable :
O I know I love love lovvvveee Fleetwood mac they are amazing!!
from animejournal :
I don't mean to sound like a dick, but how do you know you like this person if you never talked to him? lol Relationships start off with friendships. If it's for looks, it might not last. Nothing wrong with talking to him though, but for the safety of your heart, be caeful who you give it out to. It's better to give it to someone you naturally gel with, know what I'm saying? Trust me on this. Anyway, media is getting sluttier and sluttier nowadays. ugh!
from sexonatable :
yay I am glad that you are going to say HI omg I know I love dreams to last night I dreamed that I ate some doughnut burger I saw on Man vs Food haha odd!
from retro-cat :
hiya, yup i totally agree with you when it comes to money..i hate to ask anyone for hand-outs, i like to make my own money and feel really good about it. So yay for having a job!! And yeah, if i had lots of money, i'd give to Haiti too. We did manage to come up with a nice little sum at work to lend our support. Anwyas good-luck to you with Martin! Hugs!
from englishsucks :
No problem. Thank you for adding me back. ♥!
from sexonatable :
OMG SAY HI ATLEAST SAY HI You have to say hi to him then move on to hey baby lets hang out haha
from greenteacup :
Oh totally :) he makes me happy so all is well. I'm hoping my parents will come around to him soon, but we'll have to see :s! I can so relate to your problems with martin, i properly mental block too when it comes to guys- but go ahead and start conversations or something :D it'll be fine when you've broken the embarrassment of it to begin with :) good luck! xxxxx
from retro-cat :
Yeah i get all tongue-tied and shy too when it comes to the opposite sex..especially if its a guy who makes me melt! I was lucky that i was introduced to Vic, otherwise, i would've been all clumsy with words with him. The best thing to do is be natural about it and say "how's it going?" like totally casual-like and see what happens..he's obviously shy too coz otherwise he would've said "hi" to you too and maybe he's trying to figure out what to say to you too..i'll bet he likes you a whole lot! Anyways, i used to do so many embarrassing things around boys i liked in school..this one time, i swung myself around the computer room door just to get his attention, is was soo stupid! haha.
from stepfordtart :
Instead of saying 'hi', as in 'hello. shall we have a conversation', why not say 'hey' as in 'I acknowledge that I know you but also acknowledge that you may not want to interact with me right now'? When accompanied with a smile its usually pretty non-scary. s x
from ping-island :
it might help if you can think of something to start a conversation about with him. if you have classes together you can ask about an assignment or something like that. you really just have to gather your courage and do it. :( i'm sure you will do just fine, and if you don't it's okay because you'll have other chances. good luck!!!
from raven72d :
Anytime!
from retro-cat :
Happy Groovy 2010!! okay, whats this about Angus Thongs film?? i really want to see it but its not out over here yet..now i'm all excited!!! Mia Farrow, and Robert Redford play in The Great Gatsby. Hugs!
from sexonatable :
watched Angus Thongs loved it :) Hope you did to it was cute :)
from greenteacup :
Haha, I do, I do :) he's really awesome and i've been seeing him for about four months. I don't think my parents don't really like him, so it's a bit difficult- but I'm working on it! My Christmas was good though thanks! Really quiet. Everything's cool here though :). Happy new year! Hope it'll be a great one! :D xxxxxxx
from fangbanger :
Hey! Thank you very much :D. I hope you had a great new year and that 2010 is going to be even better for you!! xx
from raven72d :
Look for "Undiscovered Gyrl" as well.
from raven72d :
Yep, two book titles. Go take a look. "Low Tide" is older, so you'll have to hit the library, but it's brilliant.
from retro-cat :
hiya sweetie! 300 cats?? holy froggies..if i had that many cats, i'd start a private cat island! btw, The Great Gatsby is also a great film, definitely worth a look. bye4now
from raven72d :
"500 Days" was cute... I always give my little niece and nephew Borders or B&N gift cards--- I'm glad they read. And you so need to make the library get you Fernanda Eberstadt's "Low Tide" and Amanda Boyden's "Pretty Little Dirty"...
from sexonatable :

If i don't hear from ya, then i'll wish you now a Groovy Christmas and Fun 2010! hugs from Julia xxx
from and-the-way :
thanks, i drew the little birdie :) you're soo lucky to have snow. it hasn't snowed down here in years!
from retro-cat :
I'm soo glad you're back!! Missed talking to ya! Vic is (hopefully) my new boyfriend..i met him over the weekend and he is soooo groovy!! Its snowing over here too..yuck! Try putting the curse of King Tut on those annoying people. Thats what i usually do. I'm so happy that your shoulder is better! Why not ask Martin if he'd like to hang out with you some time and that way you can find out if he feels the same way about you, which i'm sure he does..go for it, girl! Never heard of Caitlin's Way, what sort of tv show is it? and whose in it? Gotta run. Ta!
from sunflowerowl :
Oh, yay you're back! :) Caitlin's Way used to be one of my favorite shows when I was in middle school. I still watch it sometimes when it's on tv. Glad to hear your shoulder is better. Take care! Talk to you soon! <3noey
from sunflowerowl :
Hey I miss you! Hope you're well. How's your shoulder?
from anna-popcorn :
I had to go back and figure out what song you were talking about. yeah, i did write that one. it's deffinaltly one of my favorites.
from stepfordtart :
Hey! Hope you had a good thanksgiving. s x
from sunflowerowl :

from sunflowerowl :
Hey! I hope your shoulder is getting better. I miss your updates! Take care! <3
from animejournal :
How is that shoulder? I just got out of the hospital too. DEJA VU... Are u getting lots of attention? lol The Haunting is awesome. It's how I feel about Goosebumps and Weird Travels...I love spooky movies. Halloween is the only time I watch Disney Channel. lol
from animejournal :
OMG u got me into The Clique! lol
from retro-cat :
ohmigod, i hope that you your shoulder is going to get better soon! i know a lot of people who won't get the swine flu shot coz apparently some people who gotten are now paralzyed for life and this one girl lost all function in her arm..scary! i used to get the seasonal flu shot but im not so sure if i will this year. Its really pointless coz i still got the flu in August. My diary keeps going on and off, i don't know why they are picking on me for some reason? Let me know if you can see my diary. I hope they will be able to fix this. I always update so i don't get why this is happening. Weird!
from retro-cat :
hiya sweetie, my diary has been taken off for some weird reason coz of inactivity which doesn't make any sense..did you have this problem too? now i have to wait for an hour for my diary to come back, that totally sucks!!
from strawberrri :
thank you :) oh sweetheart, i'm so sorry about your broken shoulder! hope it heals really soon x
from ping-island :
thank you! yeah, i'm completely in love with alice, haha. i went to the midnight premiere of twilight too but there actually weren't that many people there. i think it was about equal between guys and girls, seems like a lot of people thought it was a "real" vampire movie at first.
from sunflowerowl :
oh no! :( i hope your shoulder heals quickly. how are you feeling today?
from sexonatable :
I was reading Almost MOON AMAZING READ IT!!! haha the author of the Lovley Bones
from sugar-pain :
No problem chickadee! Hope your arm feels better soon! ♥
from raven72d :
thanks, girl! much appreciated!
from retro-cat :
hey sweetie, hope your shoulder gets better soon!! Your shoulder pain reminded me of something awful that happened to me in high school, i wrote about it on my page. anyways, have your tried vic's vapor rub? i find that it can soothe the pain a bit. Laters.
from sunflowerowl :
i think jim might have the same thing you have, but in his knee. it could be muscle strain. i remember a few months ago my neck hurt a lot every time i turned my head to the left. i don't know what happened, but that went away. whatever it is, i hope you feel better! *hugs* :)
from sugar-pain :
Yes! They're very good! The kind I was eating you can get in the TV dinner section at the store. It was by Stouffer's. You should try them sometime. You'll probably get addicted like I did! ♥
from fangbanger :
You do the crossing out using < s > and < / s> without the gaps :). Yay for Hot Sam. Hopefully am seeing him this week or next... so who knows!!
from raven72d :
geometry is fun. hope the arm is better.
from sunflowerowl :
awww, i'm sorry to hear you had a bad halloween. my halloween was bad as well. hey! can you move your arm? because if you can, it's probably not broken. i hope it feels better soon. oh, btw, i'm updating again! :D lol ♥ noey
from sexonatable :
omg your arm!!! That sucks I hope you didnt break it..That sucks!!! But look on the bright side u can get a cool cast and people can write on it hahaha :) just trying to make you feel better!!!!
from snoopy-9487 :
I hope you didn't break your arm! Sorry it hurts. Hope you feel better soon! Cheers.
from retro-cat :
oh yeah love ur new layout!
from retro-cat :
Happy Veterans Day to ya too! Been wearing me poppies in my hair all day. Ta!
from stepfordtart :
Not sure how Vets Day can be happy but I kind of get the sentiment you were going for! Jooj had a 90 minute assembly in the freezing cold school quad today for Armistice Day (same thing as Vets Day) and they showed a cartoon drama of part of the First World War. Even tho it was a cartoon, Jooj still cried - she's VERY soft-hearted! Now off to the doctors with you, young lady, and get that arm checked out! Love from your Cybermum s x
from anna-popcorn :
i love your new tmeplate!!! the pansy seems like an a hole, ngl. which song?
from retro-cat :
yeah i guess my halloween was a bit of a drag too, i just wasn't in a good mood all weekend, i hate when i get all moody..LOL. boys have a weird way of misunderstanding stuff..the other day i was smiling at this really cute guy at work and he actually thought i was flirting with him..gawd, not even close! but he then told some guys at the other end and now they think i'm this stupid little wench just coz i was being nice and friendly..since when does smiling = flirting? and i hate the word wench! ughhhhhhh...
from and-the-way :
yes, i was! and thank you :) halloween is probably my favorite holiday (it's in a close battle with christmas)
from fangbanger :
Oh my god, he is absolutely gorgeous :). I don't know how things will turn out because I need to get to know him better, plus I am still crazy about Sam. Right now if Sam told me he wanted me then I would get rid of Mr. Perfect and throw myself at Hot Sam :). But we shall see!
from sexonatable :
aww thank you for saying I am the best your amazing also :) thanks!!! Anyway nothing happened I was just irritated and wanted to vent about my friends but I didnt want them to see if they happened to look at my diary by any chance so... I was thinking about it but I would never do it I decided thanks for the love
from catsoul :
Hey I watch Ghost Hunters also, though I like Destination Truth better. =^..^=
from retro-cat :
hey girl, yay for digging that band! yeah Air's Sexy Boy is great too! Love Garbage since forever. yah, drugs are so stupid!! i watched 2 people i knew in school totally deteriorate and look wasted, i just never understood the point of wanting to get high..why can't people just be high on life? I've read "Go Ask Alice" by Anonymous and the end is sooo shocking..what drugs can do to a person is just so sickening and scary! Also saw the film on youtube..really good! I've read every single Susan Juby book, "Alice, I Think" is one of my most favs. There was even a tv show made out of the book series but it didn't do so well, i've watched maybe 2 or 3 episodes but the books are far more groovier!! I can't stand TLC too!! The only show that was worth watching on there was Trading Spaces (i had this huge crush on Ty Pennington..LOL! don't even go there!) but since that show has gone AWOL, i don't bother anymore.
from fangbanger :
Haha, I didn't know you put your clocks back over there. I thought it was a weird british thing :D. I enjoyed my extra hour of doing absolutely nothing. Awesome times :)
from catsoul :
oh my gosh, Swiss Rolls have been around for so long, I remember eating them as a kid. I have now been trying Clif Bars, they are gluten-free by the way. The crunchy peanut butter one is good. Great writing about not doing drugs by the way. Take care. =^..^=
from raven72d :
do tell me how Halloween goes...
from ping-island :
thank you!! i am 18 now and it is LOVELY hehe.
from raven72d :
happy upcoming Halloween!
from sexonatable :
Im sorry you had a bad day!!!! Hope tomrrow is better it should be because its Thursday and the next day is FRIDAY YAY!!!!!! Hope that things are better for you cause YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
from retro-cat :
Yup, i love Veruca Salt too. You should check out Seven Year Bitch. They totally rock too! Thanks for liking my ghostie. I cannot believe the nerve of the pansy, to do that to you!! Some guys should go to Learn Respect Boot Camp! Your grade room teacher should seriously get together with the french teacher i had..he used to line us up and smell us to see if we were wearing deodorant coz he kept on complaining that some of us smell, when he smelled the most with his bad decomposed coffee breath!! UGH!! yeah theres a lot of stuff we couldn't wear either coz of the Catholic school rules, sooo bloody crappy!!
from famoustn :
And he told me last night that he was gonna come anyway, and he didn't even text me today yet. I just dunno.
from strawberrri :
thank you sweetie. some horrible things happen in the world, sadly :( x
from sexonatable :
yea I heard that to so I am going to watch the original stepfather and then maybe the remake but not until it comes Paranormal experience is coming out Thursday Im super excited :) YAY I will let you know how it is :)
from famoustn :
He was supposed to come over this morning so we could actually have sex, and he was like, "Well I'm going to a party the night before, so I'll be hungover." and I told him I didn't want him to come if he was hungover, and obviously, he chose getting drunk over me. Stupid jack ass. Ha.
from sugar-pain :
Thanks! Sure, be my guest! ♥
from ping-island :
aww, thank you! it's nice to know that people care, because sometimes when stuff like this happens it's hard to believe that, you know?
from famoustn :
We didn't have sex, just oral Ha.
from fangbanger :
I do plan on getting the other one done eventually. It will be awesome :D. It doesn't hurt anymore, so that is good. :D xx
from almostrachie :
So I totally realized that I haven't left you a note in about a zillion years, and it's high time to fix that! School sounds exciting as usual, I totally want to meet this Luna person! Haha! Anyways, the entry you asked about was this one: http://almostrachie.diaryland.com/090923_33.html Hope all is well! =)
from retro-cat :
Fort Mifflin sounds like fun! eeep, a girl who looks like Lady Gaga? dunno if its a good thing or bad..LOL. As long as she doesn't own one of those red lace cocoons! Gawd, your school must have sex-god overload, lucky girl!! Totally go trick-or-treating! I would love to go too since everyone always thinks i'm still in high school but i wouldn't have the guts to go alone. I miss it though, it can be sooo much fun and i remember this one time even going through someone's house which was set up as being haunted with people dressed as ghosts and scary movie monsters.
from sexonatable :
no clue why i thought that im a lil special hahaha.... anyway glad ur staying :)
from famoustn :
I know, right? haha. Hey, can I ask you a question. Since I don't know you in person, your answer won't be biased.
from raven72d :
she really is adorable...
from retro-cat :
Shirley Manson writes amazing lyrics! Yeah i want to see "Whip It" too! and btw, Meatloaf rules! He's groovy as psycho Eddie in the "Rocky Horror Picture Show"!
from sexonatable :
Hi so you so better let me know what your new diary is or I will cry *tears* hahahaha i miss you!! and ur diary cause I heart you
from famoustn :
My mom and I love Meatloaf! it was great. Haha.
from raven72d :
I love Zooey... I'll have to look into 'The Happening'...
from catsoul :
I like chocolate soy silk best. I nuke it and put marshmallow fluff on it as my bedtime snack usually. =^..^=
from retro-cat :
LOL, those boys in your class are sooo dirty-minded! Most of them in my class used to discuss boobs real loud and then rate all the girls from 1 to 10..real immature! Anyways, Alex sounds way cool! Good luck with him! I never miss Ghost Hunters or Most Haunted. Love the Halloween lay-out!
from stepfordtart :
"G and L"? whats that? s x
from fangbanger :
I only got one of them pierced, I wouldn't be able to cope with the pain of having them both done at the same time!! Haha. Looks awesome :D x
from catsoul :
Me again...I was wondering what comic strip that is and who the artist is? Thanks!! =^..^=
from catsoul :
I love your new look! Yeah for super delicious chocolate milk, was is soy? Take care. =^..^=
from raven72d :
so what's up?
from stepfordtart :
Hello dear! "Angus.." is a movie, too - did you not get that movie over there? Jooj and Treacle have both seen it with their auntie. s x
from retro-cat :
LOL..did i actually write hilious? i meant hilarious. LOL, i just made up a new word.
from retro-cat :
Once you start reading those Georgia books, you're gonna want to read them all..there's like 7 or 8 of them in the series. I love the first one loads! "Away Laughing On a Fast Camel" is also totally hilious and it takes place in the States when they go on vacation there. We've had a heatwave all week and today the weather is back to normal. That woman in the toilet sounds so nasty! She also sounds like she has a severe constipation problem! Yup, Mel and Heath are Aussies. Have a groovy weekend. :)
from sexonatable :
YOUR READING FULL FRONTAL SNOGGING AMAZING I Read all of them they are great!!! You will love them glad your back missed ur diary.
from and-the-way :
i didn't even realize that the evil British soldier and Lucius Malfoy were the same actor. cool!
from vetanda :
What? They don't let you wear jeans?? Must be some kind of crazy dress code or something!
from animejournal :
you can find Babysitters Club books even at the Dollar Store! I wentto some book barns, the library, and the dollar store. They had them. LoL. I even got some old vhs's of the BSC! LOL I'm weird like that....
from retro-cat :
That is so cool that the little girl threw back the baseball! Yeah really sad about Patrick Swayze, he was going to be starring in a new tv show, forgot the name?
from vetanda :
I read about the little girl throwing the ball back, but I hadn't seen it. Props to the dad for not getting angry about it. He looked like a really cool guy.
from retro-cat :
Luna Lovegood rules! I absolutely love her name! Yeah i end up feeling totally stupid afterwards too! yeah why can't people just get to know others without already labelling them or figuring them out in less than 5 minutes! Nope, i don't think Gordon Levitt was in "10 Things..",it was Heath Ledger. I totally looooooove Gordon in the film "Mysterious Skin"!! he plays a male hustler. If you haven't seen that film, i highly recommend it! Michelle Trachtenberg, plays in it too. I haven't seen "500 Days of Summer" yet. I think "New Moon" is going to be better than "Twilight", it just looks like its jam-packed with awesomeness!
from animejournal :
I'm going to say this right now: you are insane for liking Ann M. Martin knowing I love her too! I love the BSC stories! I spent the whole summer reading them! I love your diary btw!
from retro-cat :
heya groovy girl! ohmigod, gym in the morning, poor you! i hated gym coz in the winter they made us run around the track in t-shirt and shorts when it was minus 10 degrees..ugh!!! i'd end up freezing my ass off all the time! chicken fry from Burger King..LOL!! i used to be totally addicted to Third Rock From the Sun! i had this huge crush on Gordon Levitt, still do! Can't wait to see "New Moon"Twilight series! Trs cool layout btw! Sorry to hear that your dad got laid off, that sucks! I can't stand Kanye! That was just so cruel what he did to Taylor Swift. BTW, i like that song she sang on the show! and i want her dress!! Hope you are having a great week at school, yeah i know, school majorly sucks cock..LOL! i like the words you use.
from stepfordtart :
Hey girly! Can you note me and let me know if you can see the clips (for Tim's show)? I posted the links Ok (I think!) but now even I cant see the clips! s x
from journalmine :
Sorry, I didn't mean to be short. I am just so, so stressed out right now!
from journalmine :
well, he must have just put mystokryst back up because moments ago, it was blank
from greenteacup :
hah you're welcome :) i keep on meaning to change my layout, i've had it like that since last year i think :s. maybe one day we'll manage to get child tickets again :D or when we're old we can get senior ones. not long to go? :)xx
from journalmine :
Yes, he is my stalker. And he just left me another note that I do not feel like reading. But I did just update. An angry one.
from blu94anjel :
No... haha I'm not from France. I learn French - I'm going to France for three months on exchange soon. As you can probably tell, I'm insanely excited XD
from greenteacup :
the 26th i think, then classes start maybe a week after that? i have no idea aha. when did you go back to school? the schools and colleges here started this week i think. xxx
from raven72d :
I love the new layout photo.
from journalmine :
The new layout is so cool! -- Sucks about your dad. That's happening to more and more people these days. I'm starting to wonder how all these companies are getting on with so many laid off! I mean, WTF! I hope everything will be OK with you and your family. Obama is eating everyone's money and shitting on them in return!
from greenteacup :
I love your new layout! It's crazy how much films are at the cinema, should be a lot cheaper, I can't get away with childrens tickets as I don't look 12 anymore :(. Thanks! They were just a few pictures I had from this summer. xxxx
from stepfordtart :
Oh, and get 'comments' willya! its so long-winded coming all the way over here to leave a note! I got mine free from Haloscan. s x
from stepfordtart :
Umm...ghosts generally ARE 'a bit pale', arent they? heehee. s x
from ping-island :
seriously! i think they want me to be like, "oh wow you're right, i am too old for this, it's actually not a big deal at all" and then thank them for enlightening me. what actually happens is i cry the whole time and then afterward they say, "that wasn't so bad, now was it?" and i say, "it was completely horrible and i'm going to cry next time too."
from stepfordtart :
Aww, that sucks. Happens to a lot of people these days (happened to me in May if you remember). Hope he finds something else soon. s x
from sexonatable :
love that school went well :) Happy for you... tell the ugly girl to dump him cause u like him and shes not allowed to...
from ping-island :
any kind of needle bothers me! every time i get a shot or i have to have blood drawn, i cry. i'm almost 18 years old ;_; nurses actually tell me things like "you're too big to cry about that"! it's so mean!
from fangbanger :
I love the new layout :). It has been fun talking on rs, but when you do manage to get some time on there we can still talk! Have fun at school!
from snoopy-9487 :
Hey, thanks for the birthday note. :) Cheers.
from h2ophobic :
I've tried several times to leave a note but they never seem to appear. I hope this one does. Thank you for all your sweet notes. I hope you have a wonderful school year. Are you going to be a Junior or a Senior? Take care.
from greenteacup :
awh man, you should so go and see it, i'm sure you'll love it. have you seen many films recently? the cinema here is hella expensive, so when i see something i have to make sure i like it to get my moneys worth aha. awesome :) i'll definitely look into runescape then haha, i love geeky things. xxx
from famoustn :
Haha. Thanks. Lol.
from famoustn :
Haha. Thanks. Lol.
from sunflowerowl :
hmmm, i will check it out. :)
from sunflowerowl :
thank you! :) what's runescape?
from greenteacup :
Yeah, i need to be so much healthier than i am right now! I had a heavy seven months or so and it's taken on me so it's like ouch. All's good though. And haha i've always wanted to play runescape! it sounds like fun when you're properly into it :).xxx
from fangbanger :
Haha, it is fyarlieken :) I will add your other one too :D
from greenteacup :
awh :) thanks love. i'm moving up to the midlands, to leicester. it's about an hour from one of the stations in london. should be fun :). i haven't been on dland in long, i've got so much catching up to do with diaries. xxx
from retro-cat :
ohmigod i want to see Taking Woodstock so bad but its still not playing in my area which sux! although i saw truckloads of the cd already in stores. yup ramsey is a sadist! cooking class rules! and yeah journalism is a great choice! this is a dumb questions, but how come you have to wear uniforms? are you in Catholic school? over here, you have to wear uniforms in certain Catholic schools, mostly private ones. My cat Bobby loves to cuddle with me on my bed and he snores like a human too! and does these huge sighs, its pretty hilarious! I speak to my cat as if he was my little brother.LOL. and i call my cat "chunky monkey" or tubby bobby coz he's quite heavy too. A bolt shaped like a circle? maybe it was a UFO? it would be awesome to actually see one!! yeah very sad about DJ A.M., i wasn't too familiar with him other than he dated Nicole Richie. I totally love british dj Digweed! He was in the film "Groove", i heart that film. Thanks for wishing me a good week :)
from fangbanger :
Hey! Haha, I love your runescape name, funny. Yeah I kept getting asked that too, mostly when I was low levels, but now my levels are a lot better. It is funny. xx
from sunflowerowl :
BTW, sophomore year of high school is so much fun! I will never forget that part of my life. I met some amazing people who changed my life and we had so much fun together. Awww, the memories... :) Also, I'm happy to hear you are experiencing nice weather. I wish I could say the same. I can't wait for Autumn to arrive!
from sunflowerowl :
Seriously annoying! I'm just happy I get a break from it all next Monday. Holiday, no school! Yay! :D
from strawberrri :
the guard wasn't sexy per se, but his uniform was! the michael jacksons were brilliant. the only thing was the club was absolutely baking, so in their wigs and jackets and everything, they were all unbelievably sweaty. mmm.
from sexonatable :
Do not swear at yourself.. You are friggen funny... Loved the entry... am adding it to my favorites... you should feel SPECIAL.. haha
from fangbanger :
I am glad you find me funny :) hehe, at least someone does. If you remember your runescape name, mine is fyarlieken, then we can play together :D
from sunflowerowl :
Awww, thank you! :) YEAH! cats are the best! My cat snores too and his nose whistles a little. It's the cutest! Jim's cat uses pillows for her head as well. I love cats so much. Your kitty sounds lovely!
from newschick :
yup i live in ireland. :)
from retro-cat :
fried oreos???*cringe*LOL. yeah i agree with you that i do love fried chicken and things that are normally fried too. yeah i hate it too when people grope each other in public, its just soo distasteful! i'd love to get guitar hero for x-mas too, i think im obssessed with it so much.LOL. have a great weekend!
from fangbanger :
Haha, makes me a geek too! I have been playing on it for like the last 3 hours!!!! Ahhhh.... funny.
from newschick :
thanks, never thought i'd have a thing for booze and boys! :) walking IS the best, especially in dublin. :) xxx
from famoustn :
I am addicted. Haha.
from sunflowerowl :
It actually happend to my brother, Jay. Jim wasn't there. He missed out on all the action. LOL :)
from sunflowerowl :
You're welcome! :)
from sunflowerowl :
I wish I had time to read something other than text books. Lady Oracle by Margaret Atwood is a good read. That's just a book that came to mind right now. If you liked Plath, you might like Atwood.
from retro-cat :
crikey! being home alone with the power off can be sooo scary! i don't even know where they buy those javalin-like heels from, probably ho's-r-us! kill bill with hobag heels, LOL! guitar hero rules! i played it once at a friends place and once i was on it, noone could get near it,LOL! i hogged the whole game for myself.
from greenteacup :
Aaah, thank you :D. Nice to hear that you've been doing alright-o. xxx
from fangbanger :
Lol, not too much of a confusion then hehe. xx
from sunflowerowl :
Ryan Jenkins looks exactly like one of my exes. So watching the story on the news and seeing his face everywhere has been freaking me out lately. What a monster. I heard he was found dead in a motel in Canada. Suicide. Uh, anyway, I'm gonna try and end this note on a happy... note, ha! I read another entry of yours and read something about a novel you're writing? That's very cool! I started writing a novel when I was 16 and never finished it. I still have the story in my mind, but I haven't actually written anything. It's hard to pick up where I left off. Especially after so much time has passed. My advice to you is to keep with it. Wow! Long note. Sorry about that! Talk to you later!
from fangbanger :
This will be too late now, but... cereal! Hehe. xx
from vintagejunk :
Yeah, just read the newest entry and you'll see how horrible men can be for real. Ugh. I swear that if this thing between me and V flops because of this, I'll stay away from ANY foreigners for at least 6 months, FOR REAL. I'm done with this kind of shit.
from retro-cat :
wazzup? what are you confused about? oh wow, a murderer somewhere in Canada?? that is just horribly sick what he did to his wife!!!! i hope they catch him fast! Yeah guys are so camp challenged! they think they know everything, ha! especially when it comes to reading road directions and maps, they think they are experts, puh-leassse!!LOL.
from fangbanger :
What are you confused about? I am always confused about everything haha... even whether I am bisexual or not! xx
from fangbanger :
http://www.paperchase.co.uk - but I cannot find a usa website. :D x
from journalmine :
Exactly. I need time to ponder life and process things. Aggravation builds up if we don't take time to consider things, learn from them, find better ways to see and do things. You know.
from sunflowerowl :
My mom and I did that same thing a long time ago. We were supposed to go somewhere and instead we ended up at the mall. It was fun!
from fangbanger :
It is cute isn't it?! I loves it. It is from paper chase :) so if you have one where you are go find one! Hehe. It is cooler today, thank god, it actually rained. Wohoo. I can't believe I am thankful for rain, as english folk always complain about the rain, but when we don't get any we get all sad. And yay for Ruby Tuesday (so sad I can't go!). I will have that 26 year old though, just the right age for me.
from anna-popcorn :
guess what?! boys are icky poos!
from greenteacup :
Haha, I'm 100% back now (for a couple of days at least). I was in Paris for the past few days and before that I was actually sailing. It's been busy! How're you? :)xx
from raven72d :
you may have to look around for Mono--- the trip-hop band, not the other two bands of the same name. persian food and poetry are both wonderful.
from famoustn :
Thanks. It went pretty well.
from raven72d :
Take a listen to Mono's "Formica Blue" CD...
from retro-cat :
love the new layout, very pretty!! you're lucky your going to Atlantic City! are ya gonna do some gambling? just kidding. Poor Morris the squirrel was run over by the next-door wanker!! That guy was so nasty that this one time when he came home from work, he ran into his yard and stomped on his patio to scare away the birds, but the way he stomped his big fugly boots was just soo idiotic!! i could write a big entry on the way he went all psycho towards the girl he was living with. The guy was evil!
from raven72d :
I've always had a good time in PA! And I'm seriously looking forward to meeting Laura!
from fangbanger :
haha, well this layout is cool :). Yeah haven't seen a ghost since. I must have been about 9 when I saw it... it just walked past my bedroom door and into the room next door. Thought it was my mum, so went into the room next door, but no one was in there. Spooooky. hehe x
from fangbanger :
haha, yeah definitely saw a ghost, and was truly freaked out. I like this layout :), the links didn't work for me on your old one because of using firefox browser :) xx
from fangbanger :
I swear I saw a ghost once!!! x
from fangbanger :
The film was amazing! Brad Pitt = sexy. Funny as fuck. I wanna see it again! NOW!! Haha. I always think odd things/noises are ghosts hehe xx
from sunflowerowl :
I've read The Bell Jar. It's good. Also, Juliana Hatfield makes lovely music, doesn't she?
from ping-island :
yes! i'm pretty crazy about animals and stuff in general. sea animals are just i guess the most interesting to me because my fascination is combined with so much fear. it's almost exhilarating to come so close to something that terrifies you so completely.
from retro-cat :
yeah that Michael whoever should be wrung by the neck for doing that to those poor dogs!!! dog fights should be illegal and banned for good!! a friend of mine in the UK said that finally fox hunting had been banned..good! Swedish fish = gummy love!! i haven't had it for a while so when i read your entry, i'm now craving some so bad!! can you squeeze some through my screen? LOL. yeah i love animals sooo much too!! i wish i could build an island for all homeless cats! That is sweet that your cat Blackie has squirrel friends! I used to have a pet squirrel named Morris, i really miss him! He'd tug on my clothes when he wanted peanuts and he'd eat them on my lap. Oh yeah and i miss Pee Wee's Playhouse..i used to watch that show a lot..loved the talking couch chair or whatever it was. I have no idea who put that moustache on Scarlet? the mag was just lying on the table in the waiting room and it was quite a laugh.
from sunflowerowl :
Swedish Fish are goooood!
from raven72d :
"Hullo, I'd like an order of fried garnips to go..." I like that.
from retro-cat :
I gotta do that G & P thing too..fun! I'll do it tomorrow if i have time. Yeah computers can really suck!! I had a hard time getting my internet running again today. Internet service can be equally shitty! thanks for liking my line :) its still very hot over here. Yeah we now have 3 more cats thanks to do those people who keep sticking cats into barns and neglecting them, so we end up feeding them and taking care of them, becuz we just can't say no to them, looove cats too much! So Ginger is the mama cat who had 2 kittens, Fez and Jackie, both boys..they are so playful. Bobby likes them too but he's afraid to come outside coz he was another barn cat that we rescued coz he nearly died. Anyways, we can't have anymore cats inside coz my mom is allergic to cat hair, its not too bad if its only one cat. Then Ginger got pregnant again, so im sure we're going to have a lot more cats in our yard. I just wish these farmers would stop sticking cats into their barns and not leave them to fend for themselves, especially that they can get run over or eaten by coyotes. It's really sad. We also have a pet raccoon who comes to visit every night, you can actually pet her and she doesn't mind. LOL, yeah blame my dream on Harry Potter! I wish i would have more dreams like this but most of the time i have pretty bad nightmares which i hate. and i totally agree with you on those pageants!! they need to stop becuz sick men will get the wrong ideas like what happened to Jon Benet.
from sunflowerowl :
Awww, thank you! I'm in California. Pacific time zone. You're probably sleeping right now or up real late. I don't know. :D
from dia4 :
my Mate died this morning....
from fangbanger :
Well one more day. So maybe I shall say something tomorrow. I have him on facebook though so I can just stalk him that way lol xx
from raven72d :
don't know what a garnip is, but... I loved Gary the Snail.
from xxholding-on :
hey sorry for bothering anymore just wanted to let a few people who supported me to know that the art contest closes its voting tonight at midnight, so if you have a chance please stop over and put one last vote and review in for me, thanks so much =) http://www.brickfish.com/Pages/PhotosAlbums/PhotoView.aspx?picid=975395_34070543&pid=2767347&scid=452
from sunflowerowl :
I've never had that problem with my computer before. I wish I could help you, but I wouldn't know where to start. Thank you for adding me. I've added you back as well.
from fangbanger :
Haha, yeah I almost said something to him. But I stopped before it came out. Kind of wish I had just told him though, because then at least I would know either way. I have 2 more days to let him know before we go our seperate ways after the training... so maybe I will. Hehe. Makes me nervous thinking about. x
from fangbanger :
hey, I hope you get your computer fixed soon! Also, I was reading a few more of your entries... I think the bold are gold or maybe supergold? Mine is supergold so that's why mine shows up, maybe?? xx
from sunflowerowl :
Hello! And Yes you may! :)
from retro-cat :
heya, i hated back to school commercials!! i never understood why they had to start them in July when there was still another month to go. Pure torture! There's this one that they keep playing all the time and they use a christmas song "its the most wonderful time of the year"--that is just beyond stupid!! for me, going back to school was a total nightmare! anyways, i love cooking with my mom too. Its awesome that your dad can bake..my dad wouldn't know flour from icing sugar-LOL. Lasagna rules! yeah i lost contact pretty much with all the friends i made in camp which is really sad coz i do miss a few of them. I was made fun of coz i was allergic to pepperoni on pizzas so i can certainly relate to Joey's situation. People can be so damn mean! I miss childhood a lot too..the older you get the more responsible you have to be..yuck! That lady that talked to herself sounds wack! This one time, me and mom were sitting down on a bench in the mall when this bearded guy with long hair came up to us and said "you just met Jesus" and walked off. It was sooo weird and i got goosebumps up and down my arms. Was it really Him?? who will ever know. He sure disappeared quickly. 100 degrees??crikey that is HOT! i totally agree with you about macho men! they are a bunch of tossers!! so many of my friends fell into that popularity trap--they transformed themselves into plastic barbies and they became something they never were and then they would turn against me which totally sucked! But what i've learned is to always be yourself no matter what.
from ping-island :
Her name was Lily Burk. She was very, very beautiful, and one of the gentlest people I've ever known.
from ifiliedown :
Yes, I have a feeling we'll do much better as friends. These things do happen.
from sexonatable :
hahaa..it was yummy though. It is scary looking but it tastes so good!!
from fangbanger :
:D yay thankyou. I am liking the being awesome bit, good stuff!! x
from fangbanger :
Hey. Thanks for your input, I like the girl one too :). So I am getting both yay. Only one of them this year though, well get the other one next year. I am too broke to be able to afford them both and a nipple piercing! Hehe x
from dia4 :
Heh...I'd enjoy what school time you have left my friend. Soon you'll have your own version of an 'adult' life and let me tell you....who ever said that being an adult is worth the rush of growing up lied. *wry grin* (Hint: it is basically high school, but you don't get to have vacation breaks. And you still have to do what someone else tells you to.) But....there are a few pluses. We all look forward to the day when we can start our second childhood. *shrugs/smiles* And of course we get to torment the next generation.
from fangbanger :
:) well at least I am not the only one!! My friends, luckily, are more or less just like me, so not too bad around them. They are just as weird. I will stop thinking about sex though once I get some!! x
from fangbanger :
Hehe, well thank you :). I am not sure where it comes from, generally people just think I am weird and inappropriate. But I guess it is a tad inappropriate when I start talking about willies and boobs in the middle of a work place... x
from fangbanger :
Haha, there most definitely is. I am going to go with HOT guy though :D mmmmm yum x
from ifiliedown :
I am indeed talking about my college boy. Unfortunately, staying with him won't make things better. These things just happen sometimes. But don't worry. I've been through this before. I know I can handle it. It just always makes me a little uneasy when I have to break up with someone. It's never a fun thing to do.
from ifiliedown :
A beautiful, confident, caring, remarkable young lady. Definitely things to remind yourself of every once in a while. Don't ever for get it. Always be proud of who you are.
from sexonatable :
Love the letter to yourself :) You dont have to let thos jerks walk all over you... When I was in high school I was popular well..Im not sure if I could call it that more famous... Everyone knew me even the stupid popular people. Why... Because I was unique and I was myself... being yourself is more memorable than being popular :) Just wanted to help :)
from raven72d :
Once you learn Spanish, Italian or Portuguese will be dead easy!
from stepfordtart :
almostrachie is absolutely correct (whcih is why my name is in miniscule pixie writing. Cos I am a pauper. s x
from almostrachie :
I have this account that is not gold, and another account that is gold, and as far as I can tell, the big names on the side are gold members. Actually, I'm pretty sure because my gold membership on my other account expired a few days ago, and now my name in the box shows up small instead of big like it used to!
from raven72d :
I'm a big believer in people learning languages. It opens up the world for you--- opens up so much. So whether it's Russian or Arabic or French or Portuguese--- take language classes!
from raven72d :
You'll like "Bell Jar"... Go on from that to her poetry. And Moscow is very much on my to-see list after years of reading Russian history and lit...
from ifiliedown :
Good, girl. It's very beautifully written. It has the ability to make you obsess over Plath's writing. I hope you love it.
from strawberrri :
thank you :) england is a bit swine flu crazy atm. 100,000 people a week are getting it!
from and-the-way :
haha, i guess it can be scary to know that anyone can see where you live. but i'm so addicted to it. especially looking at foreign countries.
from ping-island :
i don't get the cookie dough love AT ALL. in my culinary class last year we made cookies a lot and people would always want to eat the dough before we baked it. that's so gross! can't you wait like 10 minutes until they're done?! nah, it's not thomas :)
from retro-cat :
hiya sweetie, thanx for liking my new layout! Muchmusic used to play all the cool British festivals on tv and when i saw The Wannadies, i right away became a total fan. Ohmigod, i loooove The Cardigans! i've got everything they ever made. I also love those 2 songs too. Nina Persson has formed a new band called A Camp..check it out, that band also rocks! Thanx for the password. c ya.
from stepfordtart :
Why not get The Bell Jar from the library and have the extra money for more STUFF! Happy Shopping s x
from fangbanger :
Hey! Yeah of course you can add :). I love Krispy Kreme. I am in england... but sure they are everywhere haha. I love Ruby Tuesday by the way, my favourite, but we don't have one in this country :(, so sad.
from snoopy-9487 :
"The Bell Jar" is a deep and well written novel. I read it myself about four years ago on a desire to just buy a book. I thought it was a quick read and I really enjoyed it. I would try to recommend people read it (or attempt) at least once, even if they end up hating it. Anyways, cheers.
from raven72d :
I d/l'd about half a dozen of her songs...
from ifiliedown :
They're photos of me on a baby grand piano. I'm sorry they're so dark. I have a love for dark photos.
from raven72d :
Duffy, yes! I do like her voice.
from ping-island :
Sure, I don't mind :) Thank you!
from ifiliedown :
No. It's a song by Neko Case. It's called "At Last." It's very beautiful.
from xxholding-on :
hey i saw you were online and i really wanted the vote/review from diaryland members towards an art contest i joined. It's a coach marketing contest and i need as many votes as i can get! I'm already in 19th out of 2700, please help me out! http://www.brickfish.com/Pages/PhotosAlbums/PhotoView.aspx?picid=975395_34070543&pid=2767347&scid=452
from ifiliedown :
Oh yes, dear. Most definitely.
from h2ophobic :
When we were at the airport picking up my son and daughter-in-law, this creepy old man began staring at Shelby. Like, looking her up and down type staring. It was so gross. I walked up to him and said (really loudly) "REALLY? Are you REALLY standing there staring at my 17 year old daughter while I'm standing right here?" He mumbled something and walked away. People like that piss me off. Women are not pieces of meat on display. I'm sorry that happened to your mom.
from ifiliedown :
Shit, girl. I wish I was cool enough to have listened to Sonic Youth at 15. I think I just listened to a lot of Death Cab for Cutie and Bright Eyes. I was a little sullen.
from catsoul :
Big Brother 11 which airs on CBS, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights. Then on Showtime Too, there is BB11 After Dark which is recorded live that each night for three hours. That one gives you more info about the people. I find it very interesting. =^..^=
from famoustn :
Sorry. I don't check my messages on a regular basis, but thanks for all the messages! Lol.
from retro-cat :
oh nearly forgot..i found out that your other diary is locked. can i please have your password? ta! :)
from retro-cat :
Yeah The Wannadies were my favs. in the early 90s..i have them live on video when they performed at the Glastonbury Festival and i have several of their songs on mixed tapes somewhere..i like "You & Me Song" and i think "Little By Little". Have you heard of the band Sleeper? British groovy band around the same time as Wannadies <-- i think they are from Sweden? You have to read The Bell Jar - so incredible!! And yeah The Craft rules! I actually got into Wiccan becuz of the film.
from theboxisback :
Maybe the easiest way for me to help would be if you simply send me a link of which template it is you want and a link to your photos and I will fix it and send you the code in a .txt file.
from raven72d :
I'm not a big texter. 160 characters isn't much of a message, and I'm slow at it--- one-finger only. (I only type with two fingers, mind you)
from retro-cat :
i heart The Wannadies!!! ohmigod, a diaryland page that actually talks about pantyhose?? that is seriously lame!! i once saw a page that talked endlessly about nail files..total snoresville!
from sexonatable :
Yea they dont roast the pig at my uncles party they just have someone do it but its pretty gross when they bring it in the head is kind of scary... its ugly but its really good.. :)I will take a pic of it and post it on my diary hahaa so you can see
from elgan :
Thanks for your notes. They're sweet.
from raven72d :
I don't mind hearing people's bizarre stories, but this was just...creepy. Where did the guy *get* that phrase? And why would a girl date/live with someone who'd *use* phrases like that. Something light and funny, well, that's one thing. But this was just...wrong. On multiple levels.
from catsoul :
Tracy Chevalier is a great writer. She wrote "Burning Bright" as a sequal to "Girl With a Pearl Earring." It is about the poet Blake. She also wrote "The Virgin Blue" in 2003, "Falling Angels" in 2001, and "The Lady & the Unicorn" in 2005. I find myself reading everything that writer has written once I read a book they have written. I have to say I have enjoyed all of her books. Take care. =^..^=
from greenteacup :
Haha nice, what are East Coast girls supposed to be like? I know nothing about this aha. Ah :) where would you travel/live if you wanted to go abroad? Hahaha,-I'm so glad you're with me on this cat food thing, it was driving me crazy. xxx
from almostrachie :
I can totally relate with your Diaryland frustrations...although in a different way. Back in the day (Boy, don't I sound old?), my frustration was that Diaryland was SO hopping and SO popular that sometimes when you went to go add an entry, you would be led to a page that said Diaryland was too busy and to come back and add later (And you would lose your entry if you hadn't copied it and pasted it somewhere first). It got to the point where it would happen practically any time of the day, even at 3 in the morning. Compared to then, it's like a ghost town here now...but those freaking fake diaries are OBNOXIOUS!
from raven72d :
Well, try instant 'til you can get to a good coffeehouse--- they are wonderful places.
from raven72d :
Ah, nope--- Cafe Vienna is the brand of instant coffee (worth trying). My cafe when I lived in Vienna was Cafe Landsknecht.
from raven72d :
I'd bring you one for lunch anytime.
from theboxisback :
Yep. It's Ben. And no worries. I'm doing well. I've just had a lot of time with my thoughts lately. In a good way.
from raven72d :
Had one for lunch--- 300 calories, delicious.
from raven72d :
God, girl, yes, absolutely. Falafels are really good lunchtime (or late night) things. Try one! (Or at least wikipedia them and see photos)
from greenteacup :
Awh :) that's so cute then, this makes me want a cat but I don't know how easy it would be to name one haha. This probably sounds weird and I've been made fun of because of it- have you ever smelt cat food and thought it can't be that bad? I'm genuinely trying to find someone likeminded haha. xxx
from h2ophobic :
I used to re-read the HP book before I watched the movie. Then I would get irritated because they didn't follow the book the way I thought they should. Now, I just watch the movie and enjoy. My husband has never read the books, so we do have to explain some things in the movies to him. I'm not planning to see the Half Blood Prince in theaters - it was my least favorite of the books. I can't wait until the last movie comes out. I'll wait in line to see that one at midnight on opening day!
from stepfordtart :
thats exactly how we felt about HP! I didt want to spoil it for you but we were all a bit disappointed. They didnt explain about the Half-Blood Prince either and that was fairly crucial. L hasnt read any of the books (and has only seen one of the other films) and he couldnt follow it at ALL cos there was so much missed out. I guess they rely on people having read the books. Shame. s x
from theboxisback :
Thank you!
from almostrachie :
Thanks for the encouragement about the play, I did write that e-mail but I haven't heard back yet...hopefully this doesn't mean I won't be able to participate in future plays! I'm glad you got to finally see HP6!! I can't wait for it to come out on video so I can finally see it lol.
from retro-cat :
hey-a! yup The Clique was pretty good!! it had some way funny moments in it..definietly recommend! yeah i read one of her books "Dial L For Loser" which i liked a lot. Have you read that one? "Girl With teh Pearl Earring" is a great film even though Scarlet Johannson played the Vermeer girl..she did oddly look like the painting though. I should read the book.
from newschick :
fo sho. i've been out of action for a while, but im back now. :)
from theboxisback :
Yes. I use it for everything.
from stepfordtart :
We saw HP! It was pretty good but there's some big chunks missed out - if you've read the book it wont matter but if you havent it might make it all a bit confusing! One time we nearly jumped out of our skins....but I wont tell you which part! s x
from theboxisback :
I host all my photos at photobucket.com. It's free.
from theboxisback :
No, I found that one at raging pistachio designs. If you google it, it should pop up. There are a good bit of layouts there. I just replaced the photo with one of my own.
from theboxisback :
Well, I used to make my layouts myself, and I was pretty decent at it. But since I got my macbook last year, I haven't gotten photoshop for it, and that makes it much easier.
from theboxisback :
Thanks! I found it in a ridiculous search all over the internet. I tweaked it a good bit to suit me. I'm pretty satisfied with it.
from deez-nuts :

from strawberrri :

Tonight i'm watching "The Clique"..should be FUN! later dudette! ")
from raven72d :
go get a LastFM account!
from raven72d :
I like Chevalier's books. I think you'll love her stuff. "Ramen Girl" is a cute little American-girl-in-Tokyo tale. Very fun.
from greenteacup :
It's all good I hope, I'm positive about these things. I heard that he didn't have to go to hospital, so that can't be bad? Thanks for the kind words love. xxx
from greenteacup :
I love that cat on your youtube message, it's so cute :D.xx
from raven72d :
and one more with her... "Ramen Girl"...
from famoustn :
it was on the 18th.
from raven72d :
Great little comedy wth Brittany Murphy called "Love and Other Disasters"...worth renting.
from raven72d :
I saw Gwyneth Paltrow as Plath in "Sylvia", but I've never seen a film of "Bell Jar". Though do look at the book--- you might like it. I'll look at "500 Days"--- it seems fun.
from catsoul :
The sign Cancer is a great water sign. I am a Scorpio and I do believe that is comptable to the Cancer sign. So I am answering back, you have a great Saturday. =^..^=
from retro-cat :
hey sweetie! happy b-day to ya!! let me know how the new Harry Potter film is okays? yup, its celcius over here..ja confzzing ja..haha..don't mind me, i've got Brno fever.
from stepfordtart :
We have harry potter on sunday, too! Lets compare notes after! s x
from almostrachie :
I was adopted when I was 24 days old! I don't mind airports so much as I mind bus stations...oy, I HATE taking the bus. If I had money I'd go see Harry Potter in theatres, but more likely than not I'll wait for it to come out on video and Netflix it!
from h2ophobic :
Happy Birthday! It sounds like you had a pretty good day. Have fun this weekend.
from journalmine :
Happy birthday! Wow, you're just a little over 5 yrs older than my son! hahaha
from greenteacup :
Oh that's great :D I'm glad you had a good birthday then. I wish I got flowers on my birthday, I'm so jealous :). Definitely go and see Harry Potter, the acting is as bad as it ever is because they haven't managed to develop skills as their experience is limited, but I loved it :D. Tell me what you think about it.
from stepfordtart :
Hello girlie! Glad you had a good day yesterday - looking forward to being clever and telling you what the flowers are - Im a swot at that sort of thing! You were right, Shagnasty is my first husband (L is my 2nd) and Paki was a friend who died a couple of weeks ago. If you click back one entry on my diary you can find a story about Paki (which involves lots of poop!). There's a bit more stuff about my family etc on my "Cast" page. s x
from greenteacup :
Hahah thanks, it's been a couple of years since i wrote that about me. Sure, it's greenleacedshoes for youtube (i spelt my username wrong) and I don't use it much, but still. I think he's fine now :) I think he found it funny too because he liked the novelty of it. Happy birthday by the way :) hope you had a great time.xxx
from raven72d :
I don't mind rain, even heavy rain--- cools things off in the afternoons. It's just the lightning that's no fun. (But I hope things are okay out your way)
from theboxisback :
Hope you had a happy birthday. And definitely go see the Harry Potter film. Let me know what you think about it when you do.
from raven72d :
Oh--- "Girl With A Pearl Earring"--- the novel is excellent. Tracy Chevalier does excellent novels! And--- belated Happy Birthday!
from raven72d :
Hey, girl! Watching thunderstorms tonight, listening to The Knife and Kings of Convenience. What are you up to?
from stepfordtart :
Hey! The happiest of birthdays to you, dear H! I remember 15. It was pretty cool. A damn sight better than 42-and-a-half anyways! Enjoy every second of it and you are utterly forgiven for not being able to find *those* books! s x ((squeeeeeze))
from and-the-way :
I thought it was awesome! The special effects and filmography seemed worlds better in this one than the others. I heard some people complaining that it wasn't like the book, but I haven't read it in over a year and forgot all the little details, so I didn't notice much. Totally worth seeing!
from and-the-way :
Haha, well, my friends and I planned on dressing up. However, I somehow ended up being the only one in costume.
from and-the-way :
I never read the book, but the Girl with a Pearl Earring movie was fantastic. Every frame looked as if it were a Vermeer painting.
from almostrachie :
Of course you can add me =) Thanks, I'll add you as well!
from journalmine :
Yeah, definitely give me the link when you find it. That'd be cool.
from journalmine :
The fanfics I'm working on right now are of a cartoon that's a bit before your time. :) It's the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon. I got in with a group of fans who do pics and vids and fics, etc. I made my own little site with stuff at realmlore.diaryland.com. Just fan-girling out to a childhood cartoon. Other stuff I like is in my profile at http://www.fanfiction.net/u/463427/. I don't have a clue what I will call my future story, my original work, but it'll involve religion (not any of Earth's), prophecy, politics, and ancient powers. Just a good ol' fantasy epic.
from journalmine :
What kind of novel are you writing? Right now, I'm just trying to finish some fanfictions I promised myself and others I'd finish. But when they're done, I'd really like to seriously try to write a good fantasy novel, or even novel series (at least 5 books). And I can't wait to see Harry Potter! Honestly, I only miss Severus. If Alan Rickman were not playing Snape, I likely wouldn't have the first bit of interest in the whole thing. I think I'll go see it Sunday, too! :D
from sexonatable :
yay so happy you made a new one!! I added you to my buddy list :) great to see that you have decided to continue u will be happy!!
from sduckie :
I'm sure you've already figured it out by now, but Smitten's not a doctor... he's an acupuncturist... :)
from retro-cat :
btw..i have went through stages like that too and of course i understand why and you are an incredible human being and i am happy to know someone like you..mucho big hugs to ya! :)
from retro-cat :
hey girl! love the new name! hugs!
from and-the-way :
laughing is so much fun. :)
from greenteacup :
From what I've heard he had some high temperature and was feeling tired. He went to the doctor and that's how it ended. We don't have to wear a mask or anything, I think he had to have a few days in quarantine- I haven't seen him in a bit so i hope he's okay! aha.xxx
from raven72d :
I'm HighDesertSnow there...
from raven72d :
Foundry Field Recordings = very interesting alternative band... I like alt and indie music, plus electronica and 80s synthpop and darkwave/ethereal... You'd like LastFM.com--- sign up there and add me...
from raven72d :
Yeah, a really good friend. We flirt all the time, and maybe one day we'll see about being a couple. Anyway--- you need a LastFM account so you can keep up with friends' musical tastes and tracklists... LastFM also lets you find new music and hear it and it has free downloads sometimes. What music do you like? I'm listening to Foundry Field Recordings this morning.
from strayrecluse :
yeah i totally don't mind. :)
from raven72d :
Miss Ginny is a friend who's finishing her PhD in Lit at McGill in Montreal... We've known each other through our blogs for five years now... We share a lot of music and literary and film interests...
from greenteacup :
Awh. glad you're doing fine. Yeah, it's weird but apparently he caught it at a music festival the weekend after we met and I was saying how smthing like that would happen because i was jealous - turns out it did! Weird. xxx
from journalmine :
My favorite 90's cartoon (though I didn't watch it until around 2001) was Gargoyles. Goliath was HOT! I mean DAMN!
from greenteacup :
<3
from greenteacup :
Haha, the trouble mainly surrounds boys. His sister kept on involving herself, which was a bit difficult considering I'm her friend. Nothing too dramatic, but it definitely was easier before. Live and learn, I guess :). How's it going though? :) xx
from raven72d :
avocado dip, yes... just not...mixed with hair. kissing champagne off a girl is one thing, avocado mulch is another. i gues guacamole would be worse, though...
from stepfordtart :
Couldnt you go see HP the night before? Offer to pay for yourself, that always works on me when Jooj does it! Over here, for the 4 of us to go see a movie costs around $50 (+ drinks & stuff, more like $70-$80) so any contribution from my kids is always welcomed! s x
from raven72d :
thanks, girl! the avocado thing is a a bit iffy... i like avocado dip with chips, but for my hair...maybe just good conditioner...
from rhetoric :
feel free to add me if you wish. but you needn't ask. add whomever you like.
from dia4 :
Ya know it isn't lieing if you're truthful about everything else. *grins/hugs* Nice to see you...again.
from stepfordtart :
Hello girlie! *waves across the ocean* s x
from theboxisback :
You're very welcome. :-)
from theboxisback :
Yes, I was definitely up late. Talking with Ben on the phone at night causes that. Fortunately, I don't do too much during the day, so it doesn't really matter how late I stay up. As far as the italics go, it just some basic HTML. If you put < i > before text and < / i > after the text (minus the spaces, those are just to make sure it shows up) it will put your text in italics. If you want to read more about HTML, here's a link that teaches basic knowledge. http://www.w3schools.com/html/DEFAULT.asp
from blu94anjel :
Hey feel free to add me =) Going to watch Harry Potter on Thursday!
from alethia :
You don't need my permission to add me. Do what ever makes you happy. :)
from elgan :
I would be flattered.
from elgan :
Thank you for your note.
from raven72d :
Tony Chachere's Seasoned Salt...a must for, well, just about anything. I'm New Orleans-born--- I couldn't live without Tony's. Glad you like the films... What *are* your own fave films, by the way?
from journalmine :
Yeah, I tried to leave a note last night and they were off. Tried the guestbook, but signmyguestbook.com has been down for ages. I think I tried the email, too, but it didn't work. That video was cool. I'd love to visit a place like that! Even at night! -- And I really do have faith that I'll be able to quit smoking cold turkey. It'll be hardest after meals because that's when the craving is the strongest.
from raven72d :
Hot dogs are key... Just boil 'em with some seasoned salt in the water... Though bachelor males are known to just eat them straight from the package...
from raven72d :
i'm the world's worst typist. never took it in school, so i type with about one and a half fingers.
from raven72d :
i do love small, quirky films...
from supertuesday :
the comment below me is actually from me, i just have two different diaries and forgot i was logged in to that one! sorry, if that was confusing.
from arizonastars :
thanks! you can def. add me if you want to.
from raven72d :
no, 'careless' isn't Zooey--- but it's a wonderfully strange and offbeat and oddly funny little film.
from greenteacup :
Hey :) awh thanks :):) and sure, I don't mind at all if you add me. How're you anyway? I hope you're okay xxx
from sduckie :
certainly, thanks for writing! :)
from and-the-way :
of course! thanks!
from journalmine :
Thanks. :) Sounds cool. Got you added. I would add you to the dream journal's buddylist, too, but I'm using the buddylist code to link to other dream jorunals I find here on Diaryland. You have a cool layout picture. Later.
from raven72d :
you'll like "the go-getter"... and maybe "careless", too.
from h2ophobic :
What is a water ice? Is it like a snow cone?
from raven72d :
well, i have no problem with her dating samantha. they make a good couple. but as much as Crazy Girls are fun, there have to be limits. Always remember: run your vices, don't let your vices run you.
from raven72d :
kind words are always appreciated.
from raven72d :
you, too, girl! i hope the holiday goes well for you.
from famoustn :
Thanks. :)
from theboxisback :
I would love to continue reading your diary. I can understand about privacy. My email is [email protected] if you would like to send the information there.
from famoustn :
Hey you locked your diary so I can't read it. Lol. Can I get the information to read it? Haha.
from famoustn :
Of course. Lol. I dig your diary also, by the way. Ha.
from guitarphreak :
of course. enjoy...
from raven72d :
"Just Dance" is my favourite...
from raven72d :
reading is the key to my life...always has been.
from h2ophobic :
Thank you for your note. I've just read through your archives and enjoyed your blog. Thanks again!
from raven72d :
done!
from sundaygirl :
go right ahead!
from theboxisback :
Oh, of course. I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Sometimes I don't check my notes for a few days. I would be glad for you to add me. I'll have to come back by and check out your diary when it's not my bed time. Thanks!
from raven72d :
Please do add. Much appreciated.
from margaretanne :
I'm just curious as to how you found my journal, as it is password-protected as far as viewing is concerned.
