I miss you! Update please. ;o)
from h2ophobic :
I did know that was you. I have your number in my cell phone as Patti Florida. Someday I'm going to escape the snow and ice and come for a visit!
from fightn4life :
Merry Christmas...my thoughts are with you. Sandyz
from shear-madnez :
Merry Christmas!
from fightn4life :
Hope you can shake the "bug" I thought I was sick once again because I am now living north. I was hating my move...but I feel somewhat better knowing people in Florida catch the bug too. Still...I hope you get to feeling better. I too hope I can shake this bug. Sandyz

DO me a favor and talk to hubby about our decor up, LOL!!!!
from h2ophobic :
I miss you!
from shear-madnez :
Happy Birthday! Hope you get the new house!!
from h2ophobic :
#1 I've missed you! #2 I actually know someone (my hairdresser) who traded houses with someone. I don't know exactly how it worked, but she and her family got the bigger house. Good luck!
from h2ophobic :
Wow. You wrote what I said to someone on Tuesday! Scary! I didn't vote for Obama either, but I am ready to back him and give him my support. This country has been divided for too long. I hope he brings the change he's promised.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
from h2ophobic :
I was thinking about you yesterday, wondering when you were getting back. Sounds like you had a great time, except for the creepy hotels!
from h2ophobic :
I've MISSED you! I'm so glad that your family made it through the hurricanes ok. How great that your hubby loves his new job. Have a wonderful time on your road trip. I love road trips (if I'm not the driver.) I grew up 5 hours from Dallas. As a teenager we used to drive there to go to Six Flags. That's the extent of my Dallas knowledge. Have fun!
from fightn4life :
So glad you got through the storms OK and are finally getting out of the house. Snakes...uck! We had them hiding along the stone work in Ark...is no state clear of them...I suppose not. Get rid of that computer virus...they can destroy your hard drive. Thoughts are with you, Sandyz
from h2ophobic :
Ok, any thoughts I'd ever had about moving to FL, just flew out the window with the hurricane and snakes. {{Shudders}} Good luck to your mom. I just realized that with the time difference, she's already in surgery. As always you and your family are in my daily prayers.
from h2ophobic :
Stay safe! I'll be thinking about you and your family.
from moee :
Thinking of you darlin. Stay safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
from shear-madnez :
Stay safe!!!!
from boxx9000 :
The first unit in Science I'm teaching is all about weather. CA is rather BORING as far as weather goes: sunny, sunny, sunny, and MORE sunny. However, we do have the occasional EARTHQUAKE.
from fightn4life :
I called my girls as I have been watching weather...please be safe. Like you said...hunker down." Sandyz

1. I'm so glad you had such a great time on your cruise! 2. I hope your husband finds a new job lickety split. AND that it's one where he's appreciated!

Hopefully, the good always outweighs the bad (and the ugly) "BEAUTY will save the world." ~ Dostoyevsky
from h2ophobic :
How exciting! I hope you all have a wonderful time. I've never been on a cruise (I'm terrified of open water) but I'ver heard from friends and family that they're a blast. I can't wait to read all about your adventures!
from thecrankyone :
((hugs)) glad to hear everyone is okay. I'm extremely ocd when it comes to making sure people use seatbelts. Seen too much can happen when they don't.
from h2ophobic :
OMG! I once was driving across some railroad tracks and my back tire came completely off. It was really scary, and I was only going about 5-10 mph. I can't imagine how terrified April and her boys were! YOU need a vacation! A very, very QUIET vacation! You should fly here. You could sit on my back deck and gaze at the mountains while my little dogs cuddle you and lick your face!
from shear-madnez :
I got an idea...why don't you paint some blonde highlights in your hair. They don't show the icky roots so fast and it'll brighten your hair color up too. Just mix the stuff up and paint it in. You can use an old toothbrush. Try it...it'll be fun! (remember to leave it on until you're sure the hair is blonde). For the frizzies...use glossing polish. It really helps alot.

from cocoabean :
the head rush is from a drop in blood pressure when you stand up.. its happening because you're spending so much time lying down. it's called a vaso-vagal reaction.. nothing to worry about....
from h2ophobic :
Painting!? You crack me up. I did something similar when I was recuperating. Bill was trying to keep the house clean enough so I wouldn't lose my mind. I was being VERY good, I didn't lift, I didn't vacuum, I didn't mop. Then one morning I decided to clean the bathtub. Yeah...that uses the SAME muscles as vacumming an mopping. Yikes...I was down for two days! I hope your healing speeds along and soon you're back to feeling like your sassy self!
from h2ophobic :
I MISS YOU!!!!!!
from moee :
**HUGS** I feel your pain girl!
from h2ophobic :
I'm sorry your recovery is taking so long. You had much more done than I did! I'm so glad your boys are being such a help to you. The story about your husband finally agreeing to go to the doctor and then refusing to fill the prescription made me laugh...I have one just like that here! Hang in there girlie. The first month you DON'T have a period and all the ridculous pain that came with it...you'll be glad you had the surgery. HUGS!
from forty-plus :
Thinking of you and I'm sending my best healing vibes to you!
from moee :
Love ya! If you need me call!
from h2ophobic :
Thanks for the update. I'd been wondering (and worrying) about you. I hope you're healed up and raring to go really quickly!
from moee :
You'll be fine and we'll be here for you! **HUGS**
from h2ophobic :
Good luck, sweet Patti! I'll be thinking about you all day.
from h2ophobic :
That was a beautiful entry, about a beautiful woman, written with love. Thanks for sharing.
from fightn4life :
My hard drive for my computer went to a better place, so all was lost. :( Lucky I am up and running again but lost user name and passwords to all locked diarys. I never wrote them down. Could I get a new key to your world? Sandyz [email protected]
from forty-plus :
I choose cartwheels! I'll be thinking of you.
from moee :
Women are like fine wine, they only get better with time. That quote certainly describes you! **HUGS**
from h2ophobic :
I know...I leave you too many notes. I promise, I'm not a stalker. Good luck on your surgery. If yours goes anywhere near as well as mine did, your husband will be amazed at how well you feel in the coming months! It took me 3 years to convince my doctor that I needed a hysterectomy (because of my age.) A few weeks after my surgery, Bill kind of peered into my face and said "I see you." I asked him what he was talking about. He said "I see you...the you that you used to be." Good luck!
from h2ophobic :
Because I (and you will) kept my ovaries, I still ovulate, so sometimes I do get PMS. It doesn't happen every month though, and I probably wouldn't even recognize except Shelby & I are on the same cycle. (Poor Bill.)
from h2ophobic :
I'm just checking in on you. Did you have your surgery yet? How did things work out with your husband's job? BTW, I kept both my ovaries. The left one causes me problems now and then, but it's better than having to take hormones. Take care, I miss you!
from her-story :
Is there a password to get in now? :( Can I have it? OH, and I posted a response regarding the blackberry...
from h2ophobic :
Don't be too scared about your hysterectomy. Mine was a walk in the park. I literally woke up in recovery, feeling better than I did before the surgery. To this day, I say it's the best gift I ever gave myself. No more pain, no more harsh periods. Yes, my ovaries give me trouble now and then, but it's NOTHING like the almost constant pain I lived with for years.
from moee :
***HUGS***
from moee :
Sorry about M Day. I know how you feel, mine was not the best either. In fact I am still owed a mothers day dinner!
from h2ophobic :
Happy Mother's Day! Have fun with your boys today!

Tell them we said congrats! And they are smart to finish school first! HOORAY!!!!

from chaosdaily :
if someone hit her car and she was injured, the hospital bills would be sent to the other drivers insurance!
from h2ophobic :
This entry reminded me of when Mike moved to OK right before he turned 19. Since we live in betweeen 2 ski resorts, air fare is ridiculous here, so Bill, Shelby & I drove him to Salt Lake City for his flight. Shelby & I cried the entire ride home (6 hours.) For WEEKS, we were both inconsolable. That first baby leaving the nest is so hard. It DOES make you think ahead in ways you hadn't before. P.S. You have every right to worry and be sad that your son moved out. Other people's sadness, doesn't mean you're not entititled to be sad. You're a great mom and he's a great son...of course you're sad that he moved out!
from forty-plus :
I cried for April. Everyone needs to stand in her shoes to realize how it feels to feel singled out.
from h2ophobic :
That stalker sounds very creepy! If her mom doesn't report him, I think Doug should take Erin to the police station to report it. She's 19, she can file a complaint herself. I don't know much about stalker laws, but maybe she can even get a restraining order. Her mom sounds a bit nuts. I guarantee that if someone was stalking Shelby, I'd be at the police station in about 2 seconds! When Jeff was in high school, there was a guy (Jeff worked this this guy's live in girlfriend) who kept giving him a hard time. This guy was a registered sex offender too. I finally called the guy myself and ripped him a new body part. I told him if he bothered Jeff one more time, I'd file a complaint. He only spoke to Jeff once more. He told Jeff "Your mom is lucky she's a woman or I'd beat the crap out of her." His girlfriend (BTW ewww! who would live with a registered sex offender?) came to Jeff's funeral, but this guy was smart enough to stay away.
from h2ophobic :
I posted a photo of me in the entry previous to this one. Go take a look...be brave!
from moee :
Unfortunetly, I know how she feels! I have not weighed quite that much, but I still am discriminated against on a daily basis. And I am only 200 plus. I can just imagine what she is going through.
from chaosdaily :
could I please have the password? drkchoclover at gmail.com thanks!

My Grama saw Reba several times in concert. (Reba's from OK.) She always said they were the best concerts. I'm not a big fan of CW Music, but I do love Reba. Do you watch her show on TV? P.S. Your username/password cracks me up!

It has been awhile since I have been here and I am glad your back is better. Take care.
from h2ophobic :
I wish I had some words to comfort you, but we both know that words don't do that. I'm sorry this goes on and on. Just when you all seem to be doing a little healing, boom, it's right back in your face again. I can't belive your mother in law was laid off. What a heartless company she must work for! Hang in there my friend. One moment at a time. P.S. Thanks for your sweet email about Shelby's pic.
from shear-madnez :
I can't believe they let that son of a bitch out of jail! What's wrong with those prosecutors? ((((Hugs))))
from moee :
Sorry for your lose sweety! Get a hug from hubby from me!
from h2ophobic :
I'm so sorry. I'm glad his passing was so peaceful. Bill's dad died of cancer to. He died on his birthday. All of his children and grandchildren came to see him that day. When we all left, he told his daughter Marlene (who is a nurse and was caring for him at home) that he was just so tired. She told him it was ok to go whenever he was ready. He went to sleep passed a few minutes later. It was very peaceful too. God bless you and your family. And tell that big boy of yours to behave on his 21st birthday! ;o)
from chaosdaily :

As much as I work out at they gym, it's always GARDENING that kicks my butt! I'm not kidding either. I think it's all the bending over and lifting etc. P.S. Thanks for the funny emails.
from fightn4life :
Plant new flowersthat is what I need to do. Something always feels good about new growth despite what the neighbors say. Hope your back did not take too much of a beating. Sandyz
from moee :
There has been alot going on there! Sorry, to hear about Hubby's dad.
from fightn4life :
I am having a laid back weekend on Monday. :) I too was glad American idol is back on. "Big Brother?" na...I'll watch reruns instead. :) Sandyz
from h2ophobic :
Hey girlie! I miss you!
from h2ophobic :
The snake story is so funny! I can so see Bill doing something like that. He loves to make up stories, just to see if someone will believe him. I'm glad you had a great weekend!
from h2ophobic :
Whew! You had quite the week, girlfriend! I hope next week is quiet and non eventful (and itch free.) P.S. Tell your husband that I think he ROCKS for standing up for himself!
from forty-plus :
Horrible is not a strong enough word.
from moee :
OMG!!! The things she went through, I can't imagine! I can't help but feel we find him and show him how much what he did hurts. But more in a perminent fashion!
from mzbee :
Feet are NOT like a Barbie doll foot, they really are more like paddles. Feet don't get *bigger* as we age, but the arch falls and feet will get longer and wider. Wouldn't we all look silly with little tiny club like feet? re: big, wide mouths..... All the stars in Hollywood are paying extra money to get those large , big, lucious smiles. Small mouths and thin lips are undesirable. Celebrate your natural beauty.
from chaosdaily :
i have big feet too... have you tried crocs? they have some great styles, and the shoes are wide enough for my feet, and quite comfy. i think you are doing the right thing re: your "uncle"... he will be doing his own suffering, and if you torment him, you will be suffering too...
from h2ophobic :
When I was in high school, I wore a 7 1/2 to an 8. Now I wear a 9. When I buy shoes, I still automatically go to the 8's at first. Have you tried Sketchers? In the last few years I've had a hard time finding tennis shoes that were comfortable. This year I bought some Sketchers and am amazed at how comfortable they are. It's a bit of a challenge to find some that aren't geared toward teeny boppers, but it's worth it. They're as comfortable as being barefoot!
from yarnsmith :
Sorry to hear about the outcome of the trial...you all must be so frustrated. I live near Drew Peterson and my boss grew up with him. We are both thinking some how, some way, he's gonna get his comeuppance.
from forty-plus :
This is just horrible. I am truly sorry.
from chaosdaily :
at least he hasn't been tried and found not guilty, because then he would be off. if new evidence comes up, he can still be tried. im sorry.
from forty-plus :
I wouldn't want Hubby's boss' karma. He's evil and vile. I hope Hubby can find a work place where he is appreciated.
from h2ophobic :
God bless your husband for having the patience to put up with that! I think I used to work for that guy. Two jobs ago, I had a boss like that. He LOVED to make people feel stupid. I swear he used to sit in his office and make up questions that didn't have answers, just so he could ask someone and make them feel like crap. When the company decided to move to ID, he asked me if I'd move there and be his assistant! By that time I already had another job waiting, so I told him "Not a chance." When he asked me why (he offered me more money, blah blah blah) I told him "Because I'd kill you within a week." The only way he could be happy was when he was making EVERYONE else miserable. I sincerely hope your husband finds a new, better, saner job very soon...like today!
from moee :
Hun, give hubby a BIG hug from me! My husband has gone through that more then once and that's why we are doing what we are doing now! I give him alot of credit for putting up with him. But it isn't worth his health or his mental well-being.
from h2ophobic :
That's exactly how I broke my big toe a few years ago! I am now very careful about not getting up if my foot feels even a little bit sleepy! Be a good girl and rest.
from mzbee :
I ♥ tennis!
from forty-plus :
I know Crystal hurt your feelings but I can only imagine how she is struggling with reality right now. I hope your pooch is okay! You, mean? Yeah, right. P.S. Thanks for my card ... I left the envelope, with your comment on it, where The Boss did see it. He read, pressed his lips together, walked away and never said anything. That made me laugh.
from h2ophobic :
I'm sorry about the email you got from your cousin. Maybe just let her be for a few weeks and then try to contact her again. I'm sure she didn't mean to hurt you, in fact she probably ranted at you because you and your mom are the only ones she feels safe to rant to (that crazy unconditional love thing.) I love that your resolution is to be meaner this year. Good luck with that 'cause I know you're a softie like me! ;o)

I am sending healing wishes to your mom and your Cali friend. And remember, no matter how aggrevating those men get on vacation ... no pillow fights (you know you won't be able to stop beating them until there's feathers everywhere and then it will be YOUR job to clean up ... so not worth it)! ;-)

I sure understand about wanting to be a gypsy traveling around going nowhere having just the wind on my back. I hope too you get happy husband back, my job has been a struggle and at times, I feel like not so happy a camper. Yep, gypsy life sounds good. Sandyz
from moee :
Unfortunetly, you are right! You never leave a job that makes you happy for more money. It's not worth your selfworth. Hubby is loving our business, no stress. Except when I am, LOL!!!!
from h2ophobic :
Bill & I are gypsies at heart too. We moved into this house in May 1997. This is the longest either of us has ever lived in the same place...even our childhood homes. We often get the urge to hit the road too. But we've committed ourselves to having all three of our children graduate from the same high school. Shelby's a sophomore now. Once she's graduated and settled in college, we plan to take off (at least for awhile.) He can work anywhere (he's a diesel mechanic) and I figure I can just sign up with a temp agency wherever we land. Maybe someday we'll (you & I) land in the same place at the same time.
from moee :
***HUGS*** Love ya darlin!
from h2ophobic :
When I read your entry about how your family is beginning to split over your aunt's death, it reminded me of a conversation Bill & I had a few months after Jeff's death. The police knew (because WE hired a private investigator) who both parties were who caused Jeff's accident and death. They just weren't that interested in pursuing it. I have to tell you that originally, we wanted BLOOD too. But then we realized 2 things. 1. We knew that trying to get these men prosecuted and convicted could literally take over our lives. We could see that we would be come so obsessed with seeing them punished that nothing else in life would matter, which would not be fair to Mike & Shelby. It would be like the fact that they were still living wouldn't be as important to us as the fact that Jeff was gone. And more importantly 2. If we went through all that and they weren't convicted, it would destroy us. I can't say honestly that I've completely forgiven either of them, I just had to turn their "punishment" over to God. I do sometimes hope that living with the knowledge of what they did will haunt them...forever. I guess I'm not as forgiving as I thought I was. God Bless, sweet Patti.
from moee :
I'm feeling for you honey! Sorry I haven't been around much. We have been so busy it amazes me! And we are still trying to get the whole partner thing worked out! I love ya and if you need me just give a ring.

from h2ophobic :
Shelby got braces, not because her teeth needed them so much, (she had "Cher" teeth) but because of her tmj. She's (hopefully) getting them off in 2 weeks. She had them on for 2 1/2 years. We have what is called a daylight basement. When you enter our front door, you either walk upstairs or downstairs. The only thing at street level is the entryway. Our basement windows are at street level. I'd never had a house with a basement before. It's true however, the more space you have, the more crap you buy to fill the space!
from chaosdaily :
if your tmj is that bad, you might be able to get braces as a medical necessity!

She will probably get a chance to tell the Judge how this has affected her and her family members. All of you are victims of David. He destroyed something precious to you and your family. And, David is still alive to tell his side of the story. You all need to be strong for Aunt Jean.
from moee :

Sweet Patti, We're all here for you. I know what it's like to think you can't go on one more hour, much less a day. I'm praying for you and your family. Feeling like you have NO control over anything is so exhausting. I know it's little comfort, but be assured, if he's not punished in this life, he will be in the next. If I were independently wealthy, I'd fly there just to give you a huge hug! As silly as it sounds, try to relax and have a little fun with your husband in New Orleans. Nothing would happen differently if you stayed home and attended the trial. Take refuge in your husband's love and companionship. I don't really know you and never knew your aunt, but I'm sure she's at peace now and would want you to feel a little peace that she's safe and happy. {{HUGS}}

Send me the rain. We're in near-drought conditions. I want rain. Lots of rain. Then, I want it to hit the low 70s and STAY there. Enough of this near-90 degree weather. BAH!
from moee :
Love yu darlin! That test isn't to bad I had it done about a year and a half ago.
from yarnsmith :
I know doctors don't like to take organs out of a body but I agree with Carolyn...7 years is a long time to suffer and I would think taking BC pills would be more harmful than surgery. I had a hysterectomy but it was for cervical cancer but I'll tell you...it took away all kinds of problems and hassles.
from h2ophobic :
My doctor told me I shouldn't have a hysterectomy for 4 years. I just kept on living with the pain as it got worse and worse. One day I finally had a meltdown and told her if she didn't take everything out, by God I would do it myself! Things moved fairly quickly after that. I had my uterus and cervix removed, but left my ovaries. I've said a million times - it was the best gift I EVER gave myself. When I woke up in recovery, I felt better than I had BEFORE the surgery. Stay strong girl. If you don't want to do b/c pills...tell her what you do want. I think we are so used to having doctors be the "voice of reason" that we forget that they are just people too. AND that they work FOR US. {{HUG}}
from moee :
Thankyou sweety! You're right, I just ned to relax and stop stressing!

from h2ophobic :
Yay...you're not crazy! Will you still be my friend even though you're not crazy? You're husband MUST have a great reputation if the new company is willing to do so much to have him working there. I'd say good luck with your Jags today, but I'd be lying. ;0)

from yur-gonna-be :
"I'LL BE" .... When darkness falls upon your heart and soul I'll be the light that shines for you When you forget how beautiful you are I'll be there to remind you. When you need someone to see you through. I'll be there to carry you. I'll be there. I'll be the rock that will be strong for you. The one that will hold on to you. When you feel that rain falling down. When there's nobody else around. I'll be. And when you're there with no one there to hold. I'll be the arms that reach for you. And when you feel your faith is running low. I'll be there to believe in you. When all you find are lies I'll be the truth you need When you need someone to run to You can run to me I'll be your shoulder When you need someone to lean on. Be your shelter When you need someone to see you through I'll be there to carry you. I'll be there. I'll be the rock that will be strong for you. The one that will hold on to you. When you feel that rain falling down. When there's nobody else around. I'll be. I'll be the sun When your heart's filled with rain. I'll be the one To chase the rain away. I'll be your shoulder When you need someone to lean on. Be your shelter When you need someone to see you through I'll be there to carry you. I'll be there. I agree with your proposed punishment for that piece of crap, Vick.
from yarnsmith :
I agree with you. I hope he ends up in prison as the bitch who belongs to the guy with the most cigarettes.
from h2ophobic :
I've not let myself watch or read any of the new about Vick. It absolutely sickens me! The little town I grew up in used to have cock (rooster) fights every Saturday night. It used to make me want to puke when my friends invited me to go (I never did.) What is wrong with people that they enjoy watching animals kill each other? I'm such a softie...yesterday when I was taking my walk I saw this lady putting a bunch of plants out by her garbage. When I asked her what was wrong with them, she said she just had too many and was throwing them away. It took me 2 trips, but I took all of them to work and gave them a new home!
from boxx9000 :
I agree 100%, hurting innocents is wrong and a whole lot of BAD KARMA.

I jsut want this to be over. I'm starting to feel comfortable again around my apartment. It just creeps me out knowing how many loonys are out there!
from pinkbowshoe :
its just beyond me how the authorities let these people slip through the system. I've heard countless stories just like this one about how the restraining orders are put on and they're arrested, charged and they end up killing the person. The system doesn't protect anyone. It's a joke and I wish more people would notice that and make harsher punishments for thses things. Its such a shame and I know your family is going through so much. My thoughts are with you all.

from fightn4life :
No one understands the devastation over losing someone you love unless they have walked that road. Even then, we all grieve differently. Some never get over the loss of a loved one they just keep on moving through life, others like my husband takes blame upon their self and in his case falls victim to an addiction. Husband has always been a drinker but losing his daughter gave him an escape to live in the bottle and not work, not live, he feels justified to continue this. My daughter lost her 9-year-old son, my grandson, there was plenty of outrageous behavior but a time came she made peace knowing this life is finite. We look to the infinite lives our souls live and find peace knowing we will all be reunited. Your Blog is yours to voice no matter how down you feel and it is best to blast the pages than to bottle up and withdraw. My heart is with you, I have experienced grief and still do so I understand in part what you are dealing with. However, as with life our roads are never the same. Many prayers and I wish you peace. Sandyz

from h2ophobic :
Reading about your aunt is so eerie for me. It's like reading about what my life could have been. My first husband was abusive. I often say that I was one of the lucky ones. I left. It was hard...at times it was hell. I literally hid out with Mike for a few years. Because I knew. I KNEW that if we stayed together, one of us would end up dead and one of us would end up in jail. And I was pretty sure I would be the one to end up dead. How I was able to think so clearly at such an early age (19), I'll never know. I pray for your family every day. I sincerely hope that the husband is convicted. It won't bring her back, but it will protect his next victim. God bless!

Shhhh. Don't tell anyone. I've had a crush on at least 4 of my doctors. I now have a female GP that I'm not attracted to in the least. LOL I've only admitted one or two of my crushes to my husband so far. Why overwhelm the poor man? :)
from boxx9000 :
My youngest brother (the drug addict) was stealing my mom's morphine when she was dying with cancer. Suicide and mental health issues run in my family, too. I think dysfunctional families are a whole lot more common than you think. All 4 of my brothers have done jail time. I have NO idea how I escaped from hell.
from fightn4life :
OMGI am so sorry, good Lord no wonder you want nothing to do with his family. My heart is with you both. Be careful, you do not need so much stress after your surgery. I too have had so many problems on DL, keeps taking forever to post. I screwed up my Blog at my space and so far I can't fix it, had to delete it. I'll figure it out. Did you get my e-mail? How are you doing? I am doing so much better. Take care Sandyz
from nascarwidow :
So sorry I missed your surgery but thrilled to see it all went so well. Now if you will just behave yourself, things will be perfect....almost! How are you feeling today?
from forty-plus :
HA! We're both dirty old women! Does that surprise you? Nope, me neither.
from fightn4life :
Bad, bad walking that much. Hey, I wished my scar looked as good as yours did, mine is gross. Wish they had not used staples; it is still seeping, ugly, deep crater hole, and about 3 inches long. Maybe it will heal and look better, like yours. (My DR. said it looks good and healing great...What are you blind I wondered.) I still can't drive but plan to anyway. If you can break the rules, so can I. Be careful and take care of your back, maybe I'll have hubby take a picture I wouldn't let him with the staples in because it was gross, now it's worst. LOL Be Careful! Lucky you balloons, dad did take me out to lunch on my way back from the Drs. And they have been bringing food for over two weeks now. Guess we're never to old to be daddy's girl's. :) Sandyz
from forty-plus :
The healing looks really good! Tell Dougie to keep his "pathetic" to himself! ;)
from cassiopeia- :
Don't forget that you are your parent's baby girl and that they still worry about you!
from moee :
Oh, what an booboo!
from fightn4life :
my dr. told me to stay in untill my appointment to take out the staples. They worry you may fall on an uneven surface and undue what was done. I too am tired a lot and at times my leg and hip hurts. I'll know tomorrow, and tell you what he says to me. Take care and be careful. Sandyz
from boxx9000 :
Tell me again....WHY did you have to have back surgery and what exactly did they do to you to fix the problem? When will you know if the surgery was successful? What is the recovery time? You are too young to be having back surgery. How did you injure your back?
from h2ophobic :
Here's something to look forward to: the NFL draft is next weekend. YAY! We're total football nerds and watch it all weekend. In celebration of it, I usually wear my Broncos jersey to work on Friday. All the non-football people think I've lost my mind.
from cassiopeia- :
Oh my goodness, I hope you recover soon! Hubby should pick up dinner from somewhere nice and set up a table on the back patio (assuming you have one) and make it seem like you are getting out but with the comfort of being at home too. Please tell him I said so!
from fightn4life :
My appointment is on the 23rd, this coming Monday. My Dr will be removing my staples. I too hate I tire so quickly but hey this was no picnic we went on. I put my shampoo on the shelf and try not to drop it; I can't stand not washing my hair everyday either. I have to tape a plastic patch over the staples so I don't get them wet. They itch like heck. I sleep allot with a dozen pillows, I keep my back against a pillow at night it hurts less when I do that. My husband has been helping me too, I'm glad there is so little I can do right now. I don't have a clue how long I'll be off work, my Dr didn't say. He did say I'll have to go to PT later, I suppose I'll know after my appointment. Thanks for all your comments, it is nice to know someone has been down the same road and we can compare complaints. Not really. Yeah. Why not, my emotions are still shaky. Take care of yourself, Sandyz
from boxx9000 :
I've been such a big baby about my cut THUMB! hehehehe. I hope your back heals SUPER FAST. You're up and about? That's AMAZING!

from h2ophobic :
I'm so glad to hear that you're up and around. Take care of yourself. Maybe your husband will learn to do laundry and grocery shop. ;0)
from boxx9000 :
I'm glad to hear all went well with your surgery. What's the stimated recovery time?
from fightn4life :
Oh, I am thrilled you made it with no complications. You are so right; the pain is/was awful. It comes and goes now, mostly comes when I try to do the little things. I will take time to mend and please be careful not to overdo, they say you can undue what the surgeon fixed. My throat was sore too, I could not talk the first few days, (much to my husbands pleasure I can yakity yak again.) I go back to the Dr. a week from today to get the staples out. I'll be glad. My incision is only an inch and a half, but like yours, it can hurt like crap. Did they tell you it would be 6 months until you can do what you did before? They are remaining silent to me. I cannot drive or travel by car because our roads are gravel, They told me to stay inside for now because the area we live in has no level ground. ButI am healing. I am so glad to hear from youThank God you are on the road to recovery now too. I would love to add you on "my space," I'll look you up. TAKE CARE OF YOU. Phewso glad you are ok. Sandyz
from poolagirl :
Glad you are on the mend!
from moee :
I was so glad to see you updated! I've been thinking about you alot! Love ya!
from fightn4life :
I hope you are doing ok...today was the first day I felt a little stronger. The pain after surgery was ...OMG! TMy Dr wanted me to stay in the hospital that night. I came home and woke my husband up every hour. Oops... he siad he didn't care. MY prayers are with you...Got to go lay down...I feel weird. Thinking of you, Sandyz
from boxx9000 :

from forty-plus :
Best of everything tomorrow! Make sure you check you email today though.
from h2ophobic :
I'm sending you good thoughts full of calm and peace for tomorrow. Oh yeah, and a HUGE hug from MT!
from forty-plus :
I am so saddened by the news of the fire.
from moee :
That's why I normally don't go to rescues or pet shops. I ALWAYS want to bring them home!
from boxx9000 :
I've only had surgery a few times and I KNOW the doctors are required to tell the patient ALL the details, but I prefer they NOT tell me because if I have to have the surgery there's really NO WAY I'm going to say, "No, I think I've changed my mind" and all those details just freaked me out anyways. I say, GAS ME and tell me when it's all over. (((hugs))) It always works out somehow, it always does. Good Luck with your surgery and HAPPY EASTER.
from forty-plus :
Of course you're going to be nervous about the surgery, don't get upset at yourself too! Doug's new baby is so clean - wonder how long it will stay that way!?!
from h2ophobic :
Next week must be surgery week. It's a shame you and Sandy don't live near each other, you could recuperate together. I'll be thinking about you and I hope you have a speedy recovery. BTW, I like Doug's car. What's with the Dentyne Ice? He must be planning on smooching with some girlie! You'd better look into that!
from fightn4life :
Wow, this is weird I spent most of my life in Orlando and both my girls live there with their families. Yesterday I came close to having a meltdown, just because. I am supposed to be at the hospital at 8:30 in the morning, surgery is at 11:30. Mine sounds similar to yours except they are cutting a hole in the bone like a half moon shape to allow the nerves room to flows without being pinched. I should be out the same day. The disk they are working on is the 1-2 ended from the last disk at the bottom of my spine. Right above the tailbone, I have a little fracture in the disk too; this is why I am in constant pain and why they put a rush on the surgery. I wish you so much and hope angels guide the Dr's handstake care of you, I look forward to when we are both back to writing and having surgery behind us. Sandyz
from fightn4life :
Wow, my pre op was done today. My surgery is scheduled for April 10th. Looks like things happening in our lives are running close to the same time. I am nervous about this surgery, seems like they moved fast with it. Oh well, it will be out of the way soon. I wish tomorrow. Hope you got in for your pre op. They did a bunch of tests this morningI was glad when I got the heck out of there and had my coffee. My thoughts are with you. Sandyz
from nascarwidow :
Wow what a big fish! Congrats to Wes. Sorry I missed Doug's bday. His picture collage is awesome. I'll keep you in my prayers for your surgery.
from pinkbowshoe :
nice pictures. your house and the neighborhood look so cute. I wanna live there :)
from fightn4life :
I hope your surgery goes greatand no more pain for you. I am now waiting again to see if this procedure helped or just set me up for surgery, waiting I don't do well. But I do know this is the last step. I will be watching your entries to see how you do in surgery, makes me less alone. Sad isn't it when we are going through different things we find a comfort zone when sharing with others walking the same path. I wish you well, Sandyz BTW BIG FISH!!!!!
from boxx9000 :
That's a HUGE fish! WOW!
from moee :
I accidentally deleted it! But I planned on responding it!LOL! But before I do that I want to ask Hubby your question to make sure I answer it right! I would hate to answer it wrong! We are hoping this gets going, and it does as well as we think it will, we can have more in other states!
from boxx9000 :
My in-laws pretend like my kids don't even exist. I've always said it's the GRANDPARENTS LOSS. I think my kids just accept it as is, that's all they've ever none from that side of the family. My parents were good grandparents when they werte alive but they have been dead since 1999.
from moee :
I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. And I know that everything will be GREAT! Tell Wes congrats! As far as the birthday thing I got through it every single year with my mother-in-law. She forgets all of us. Which absolutely amazes me, I mean my husband is an identicle twin and they are 20mins. apart in age. how could you forget that day! LOL
from chaosdaily :
yes kidney stones hurt!! A LOT!
from moee :
Man, I'm always late!LOL HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOUG!!!!
from forty-plus :
And we love you!
from cassiopeia- :
Not Cassie of course...
from cassiopeia- :
Wow, too bad I am not single and twenty years younger! LOL Happy Birthday Doug!
from boxx9000 :
I like the last pic best. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOUG.
from forty-plus :
Especially loved the second photo! Congratulations Mama on not just one but two great sons!
from h2ophobic :
Great photos! What a handsome boy..er, uh, man he is !
from fightn4life :
I hope all goes well with your surgery, my appointment with the neurosurgeon is Monday the 26th, I'm nervous. I hope he gives me a cortisone shot and sends me home. I too have no answers for so many questions, I just ask and they disappear in the mist somewhere. Hope you have a good day, and your pain has quieted down some. Sandyz
from boxx9000 :
Is this your family dentist? My sister used to work as a dental assistant and she told me that the reason WHY people don't get completely NUMB is because the dentist is using OLD stuff. Change your dentist if it happens again. There's NO reason to be in pain while having dental work done. It's a form of TORTURE to do dental work without the numbing. YIKES!
from chaosdaily :
OUCH!!!!
from forty-plus :
Cool thing, feeding those fish! Good thing he didn't lose a finger or two!
from chaosdaily :
what you need is a pontoon! lots of space to walk and sit, just kind of hard to ski behind....
from chaosdaily :
thanks, but we dont use any of those! yay!
from yur-gonna-be :
Happy Anniversary. Isn't this # 50? I could have sworn that you told me it was the golden one. :) hehe I hope your surgery will FINALLY give you the relief you so need. And YAY!! for your Aunt. I so hope she stays away forever. You all are in my prayers. hugs ~
from forty-plus :
Happy Anniversary! Between worrying about the surgery and family issues I hope you can fit in a little relaxation and cuddle time!
from h2ophobic :
Bless your heart! I've had 5 surgeries where I was put out. I won't lie to you...it's a little scary. But there is a new drug you can ask for. I can't remember the name of it (of course) but they give it to you in an IV when you first get to the hospital. It doesn't put you to sleep, but it erases your memory. I think it's the same drug they use sometimes for a colonoscopy. When I had my last surgery, I was VERY nervous. My pastor's mom came in to sit with me (Bill was there too.) She said a little prayer right as they started the IV. She said Amen, I said Amen...and the next thing I knew I was waking up in recovery. Bill said I was awake and talking to the doctor for quite a while before they took me into the operating room, but I have no recollection of it. HUGS!
from moee :
Sweety, I'm putting the date on my calender! I think about you on a daily basis, but I'll be thinking about you even more on that day. **HUGS**
from chaosdaily :
sorry you have to have surgery but if it helps, it will be worth it. i had to laugh, cause you should see my black kitchen floor.. no one wants to mop it... it used to be cream color!
from boxx9000 :
4-11?? OK, I'll send good vibes your way for a speedy recovery.
from boxx9000 :
You were married on St. Patrick's Day?! That is soOoooOOo cool. Did you wear GREEN? Did you serve GUINNESS at the reception? Please have a beer on me this Saturady. CONGRATULATIONS.
from moee :
That's alot going on! Sending healing vibes!
from forty-plus :
Wow, what an update! I hope Hubby has something special planned for you two this Saturday. ;)
from h2ophobic :
Thanks for the email and link. I haven't gone to the link yet, but I will. The article was so true. My close friends have learned that when I say I'm fine...I am. But when I say I'm good, it's a bad day. when I say I'm OK...it's a VERY bad day. Thanks Patti!
from yur-gonna-be :
well, "frumpy" and "shaggy" are better than being the "eye shadow whore," right? the ONE good thing that came out of "her" was the laughs we STILL have over it all. hope you find out some answers on thursday. i'm still "missing" but i'll be back soon - promise. now go get that frumpy shag taken care of. lol hugs!!
from forty-plus :
Good luck today with the MRI.
from h2ophobic :
My email is [email protected]. Make sure you put from just2cusmile on the note line, because I don't open any mail that I don't recognize (just a little paranoid). Bill & I were trying to get tickets to a preseason Bronco's game yesterday...they don't have the schedule up yet. I miss football! We don't watch basketball or baseball, so it's a very long time between football seasons for us. Good luck on your mri today! I hope they find whatever is causing your pain and come up with an easy solution!
from fightn4life :
I wonder if my pain pills are what is giving me some almost realistic dreams...hum. Some mornings I get confused what is real and what is a dream when I first wake up. Hubby said I talk all night. Wonder what I say in my sleep. He said I mumble. Hope you get to feeling well soon, the pain will kick your butt after awhile. Sandyz
from chaosdaily :
boy i know how you feel. men just dont seem to be able to see the work that needs doing!
from nascarwidow :
Hope your anniversary was good even though you were no doubt in pain. When will you get the MRI results? Hope someone figures it all out for you soon and you get some relief.
from fightn4life :
I read once a quote that said "Just because I am in pain doesn't mean I have to be one." I loved it. Now that I am in pain I think the idiot that wrote that was not in pain. ;) Just my little it's ok to be in pain and be one too. Sandyz
from forty-plus :
I had to look for something a little less heavy and bulky than my usual shovel and rake. My body's taken a beating this winter but the poops still gotta get scooped!
from fightn4life :
I pray you find out what is going on with your back soon, I do understand you wanting to STOPTHE PAIN. I went Tuesday for my MIR for some thing that sounds like what you have. Mine was from a fall. My thoughts are with you; keep us updated on what you find out. Sandyz
from moee :
***HUGS*** I so wish we lived closer! If there is anything I can do to make you feel better, please feel free to email me. Or email me and I'll give you my phone number! I'm sure everything will be fine, but I'm keeping you in my thoughts anyway!
from fightn4life :
I take all the "tests" you post...they are fun. Thanks for linking them so I can find them. Sandyz
from forty-plus :
Hugs for the hip and back. I know, I've been watching the news since yesterday about the tornados. Terrible.
from stepfordme :
a crockpot liner???? oooo sounds good! i too hate crock clean up.
from boxx9000 :
A coloring book? hehehehe. My daughter (age 23) still LOVES to color, too. I always drew added pictures on the page and my teachers would get mad at me. My son would do *add ons* too. Coloring OUTSIDE the BOXX, imagine that?!
from cassiopeia- :
Talk about self-serving...if they give that judge a show I will NOT watch it. He made a joke of Anna Nicole's trial. If you want some Grey's Anatomy spoilers, let me know! If they ever come out with dolls from this show I will be first in line for Dr. McDreamy!
from boxx9000 :
You have Samoas? (envy) I was told my cookies will NOT arrive until after the 1st of March. ENJOY. Those cokies are soOooOoOo overpriced, but I LOVE the Samoas and I always support the scouts. hehehehe.
from forty-plus :
And hugs right back to you!
from moee :
I will definitely call you if I am ever down that way! I expect you to call me if you're ever up here! The kids have been bugging to go to Disney. So there is hope,LOL!
from forty-plus :
Happy Birthday to your mom! I hate to hear of yet another car accident involving kids.
from boxx9000 :
Your Mom is an Aquarian? Aquarians RULE! hehehehehe.
from cassiopeia- :
Did you know...that there are more hotels in Orlando than in any other city in the USA? You will probably have a hard time finding a non-vacation neighborhood but I will ask around for ya! Hey, you are going to be two hours away from us!!! :)
from boxx9000 :
♥ HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY ♥
from nascarwidow :
Moving can be great. It can be a major pain in the rear, but then so can many things! Look at all things, cost of living, resale value, taxes, utilities and driving time back "home". I think it would be more of a problem pulling the kids from schools at this point, but maybe not. WTG on the taxes. We are majorly dreading that too. We're hoping our Wilma damage will help out.
from shear-madnez :
OMG! Dr. House is hot! I love that show.
from moee :
Wouldn't be nice to know for sure! I can't help but feel though that they are all watching over us.
from cassiopeia- :
Are you staying warm? It is freezing here!
from cassiopeia- :
That is one thing I find wild about about Florida...no sirens or basements to hide in. I am glad you were not affected by the storms. Pretty car/truck!
from shear-madnez :
Thanks for the birthday wishes. It really meant alot to me.
from fightn4life :
My daughter called from Florida today and said it was freezing. I told her it was 17 this morning here...she said ok...not so bad here after all. :) Sandyz
from moee :
Thanks sweety for understanding! I've just been feeling sooo drained and frustrated with this whole thing. It's nice to kow you're thier! Happy late birthday too!OOPS!!!

from yarnsmith :
My Bears will be seeing your Colts on Feb. 4th...May the best team win. (Go Bears)
from forty-plus :
We never do the silent treatment - we're too verbal-complusive to shut our holes! :D Hope your leg heals up - maybe a trip to the doctor for anti-flamms. is needed.
from pinkbowshoe :
I've been reading back on your entries. Just saw that your hubby isn't doug and vise versa. I really, really thought Doug was your hubby. So is doug your son? sorry for my absent-minded ness! lol
from boxx9000 :
I HATE the silent treatmnet, been there, done that TOO many times. I have a MUCH better system now I just TELL dave when I am unhappy rather than marinating in misery about it and then eventually resenting him. It only took me 30 years to figure this out.
from forty-plus :
You know I love your new friend! Now Hubby's ... not so much.
from pinkbowshoe :
I've always wanted to see a bubba gump shrimp place. that's my all time favorite movie! (along w/ the notebook of course!) but glad you had a great time. and glad to hear you're safely back home :) grrr...and no cheering on the saints..gees the eagles got taken out..;(
from yur-gonna-be :
Sounds like you all had a blast!
from shear-madnez :
Sounds like you had a glorious time on your mini-trip. Love the pictures. Do they plan on rebuilding the lazy river at the Gulfport Grand? I hope so. That's the reason we stayed at that hotel. Next time you're in Gulfport/Biloxi, try eating at Lil Ray's. MMMMmmmmm good po-boys and gumbo!
from forty-plus :
Enjoy your trip WITH your husband! :D P.S. Thanks for all the encouragement. Love ya!
from forty-plus :
Unfortunately I wasn't invited to go to Fl with the crowd. Boo.

Have a wonderful and safe trip. A very Merry Christmas and an awesome start to the coming year. We had a great day hanging out with family. :) Sandyz
from yur-gonna-be :
Oh my gosh!! How about the Honey Hill Bunch dolls. I wasn't too into barbies either, but I did love my HHB dolls (and later my Strawberry Shortcake dolls).
from yur-gonna-be :
How about romper stompers (from Romper Room)? That show was filmed in Utah and I was head over heels when I was on that show!! (I was also on Hotel Balderdash, too) And tinker toys. I know they still make them but they are plastic now a days. I loved to suck on the wooden pieces. Yes, I know I am wierd! And how about those balls you could sit on and bounce around. I don't remember the names. But I loved those. I was also in lust with Shaun Cassidy and had everything they came out with - record player, shirts, necklace, bracelet, backpak, etc. Oh, the memories.
from pinkbowshoe :
thanks...for being the only one to do that!! sheezus. LOL love ya..thanks again! have a great holiday!!
from forty-plus :
Thank you for my holiday card!
from yur-gonna-be :
Make sure you have enough postage for those cards so the recipient doesn't have to fork over any loose change! :)

from chaosdaily :
oh oh i failed my drivers test!
from fightn4life :
That was a fun little thing to do, I liked your answers. :) Sandyz
from pinkbowshoe :
I know exactly what you mean. Who cares about Britney's cooch, i dont' wanna see it or hear how she's screwing up here life...AGAIN. And, that comedian--SO TRUE. I mean yeah he lost his cool, but they don't show how disrespectful the guys he was yelling at were being. Why don't they show that? He obv had been pushed and pushed to lash out like that..but all we see is Mr Kramer as a racist..LOVE the medias portrayal of that...etc. etc. etc. blah.
from moee :
SOrry about that patti. It was an accident! Hope you are feeling ok today! I was hoping to get your address for xmas cards.
from yur-gonna-be :

from yur-gonna-be :
Happy T. Day!
from pinkbowshoe :

from h2ophobic :
I looked for a young man on crutches in the crowd when we watched the game Monday night. I was thinking about you. Just wanted you to know!
from pinkbowshoe :
I've been meaning to write ya a lil note! Wowsa, so have you seen this Ps3, is it all it's cracked up to be?!
from moee :
Good luck sweety I hopoe everything goes well at the doctor! I'm thinking of you!
from her-story :
There was a kid up by me who was held up at gunpoint as he exited a store where he just bought his new PS3. Sucks. I also heard something about it going for over $20,000 on Ebay. Sheesh, if these gaming companies made MORE of them, people wouldn't have to act like asses to get their hands on them.
from fightn4life :
Your the first one I know that has a family member with the new play station...lucky them. I heard one was on E-Bay for 14,000 bucks...that is worth being in line a few days for. Hope you both get to feeling better and get some good news from the Dr this time. Sandyz

from shear-madnez :
We got rear-ended on the gulf coast last summer. My son, who was 8 at the time, fussed at the policeman for makiing the little girl who hit us cry. She was on her cell phone when she plowed into us. We had to explain to him that the policeman wasn't mad, he was just doing his job.
from forty-plus :
I am thinking of Austin.
from yur-gonna-be :
Why? Because I can! Evil? Yep, this I know. Tata!!
from pinkbowshoe :

When we are very young we freak when someone thinks us a nerd, when we get older it's funny. Life in full cycle? The zoo sounds like a great place to nerd outI might try it myself. LOL Sandyz
from nascarwidow :
Yes ma'am! Since you're taking such good care of yourself, I'll do my best to follow suit!
from forty-plus :

I hope your hubby is alright! He sounds like MY hubby. His doctor said he needed to straighten himself out, or he was going to run out of spare parts to fix him with! LOL. One time he was fixing a lawn mower and was pulling a spring with a pair of needle nose pliers, to put the end of the spring in the little hole to pull it taut, and the spring snapped and he stabbed himself in the middle of the forehead with the pliers. Looked like he got a single gunshot to his head. OMG I thought I was going to die! That is just ONE of the many injuries I've had to patch up or take him to the ER to patch up. LOL! But I love him anyway, as I'm sure you do your hubby!
from fightn4life :
I hope your hubby is okreally. You could change with mine but really I think you have the better deal, being Pee Wee Herman and all. Only kidding but trust me you would not want this one. He's mine for life. ;) sandyz
from fightn4life :
I had to laugh too when I read about your tree toxins killing things in your neighbors yard. Some people are just not right in the head and unfortunatelyone lives close to you. At least you find humor through this and pass it on. Loved this entry. Sandyz
from forty-plus :
Does your Aunt Francis like books? You could get her some on tape.
from her-story :
An earthquake in Florida? GET OUT... when??
from forty-plus :
Our sons are long distance sassy twins, aren't they?! :D
from mizlizzy :
Some people are SICK SICK SICK!!!
from forty-plus :
Oh my goodness, this is such good news for Austin! Such great news!
from forty-plus :
I hope the storm fizzles out and misses everyone!
from forty-plus :
Two hours waiting for the doctor? No wonder we hate going to them. We should be able to deduct our time off their bill. And you know as mamas our time is very, very valuable!
from forty-plus :
I hope someone will see Wes, that's serious. And I will pray for Austin, so sad.
from h2ophobic :
I hope your son gets better soon. And your husband quits being a klutz! I always enjoy your entries so much. Even when they're about scary things...your humor cracks me up! Hang in there girl, and if you need to...knock some male heads together!
from her-story :
When Elvis died, I was sitting in my mother's car (with her) waiting for my dad b/c we just closed on our FIRST house. My mom sat there and wept openly for what seemed like forever.
from forty-plus :
I hope that nasty burn heals fast!
from moee :
WOW! Thanks for the note! It is nice to know that someone else out there knows how it feels, worse even!
from chaosdaily :
sponging with vinegar (ewwww) does help cut the pain, also oatmeal baths help!
from forty-plus :
I loved the Tower and the boys went on the Aerosmith ride about 987,349,875,293 times!
from sallydallydo :
Chinch bugs are portable, ya know. >:-}
from forty-plus :
Just found your comments. Thanks for the compliment and I think everything worked out with the scholarship money. It supposedly got sent directly to the university. I can't believe he leaves on the 25th! How am I not going to sob my eyes out? Except, I know he won't want to spend money on laundry so he'll probably be home every weekend! :)
from forty-plus :
I hope those little creepy critters head over to your neighbor's yard! *evil grin*
from forty-plus :
The first year we went to FL with a huge group of people we stayed at a hotel right next to Old Town. Every night we took everyone over there. The kids had fun, the adults had more fun (karoke, etc.) and I had my hair corn-rowed. Groovy!
from forty-plus :
I need to see some photos of the mini and other horses. I need to!
from shear-madnez :
Yay for vacations! I hope you have a wonderful time. Just getting out of town for a day or two works wonders. Can't wait to hear about it. By the way, it must be a "man" thing with the kayaks. My hubby mentioned last night that he'd like to have one. Surprised me, but I laughed anyway.
from forty-plus :
Have a fun vacation. PMS and all! :D
from forty-plus :
I am doing the diet. Today is day two. No fruit today, boo. I was exhausted yesterday but I don't know if it was due to the diet or weekend recovery!
from boxx9000 :
105?! YIKES! Global warming is here.
from shadesofblk :
Pain free would be nice. I haven't found any meds that help with both the Fibro and the arthritis. It is eithier one or the other.
from forty-plus :
Dolphins make me cry too. My very best wish is to swim with them, but I would probably drown in my own tears! ;)
from yur-gonna-be :
17 pounds? Damn, are you serious? The only problem with diets such as that is that the instant you're off it the weight is back on. I am tempted to try it just to see if I can lose 17 pounds in one week. Now that'd be exciting. Shitting out of every hole in my body? Now that's another story. But I think I am going to give it a shoot. I'll let you know what happens. :)
from shadesofblk :
I tried a diet similar to this and had almost the same reaction. Didn't like it much. Have you been able to find anything to help with your Fibro?
from h2ophobic :
That diet looks remarkably like the cabbage soup diet...without the TON of cabbage. I tried it several years ago. I lost a few pounds until I went back to regular eating and then BOOM it all came back. The ONLY diet I've EVER been successful on is the Weight Watchers Point plan. The weight came off slowly (1/2 to 2 lbs a week), but was easy to keep off. Although I don't go to meetings anymore and don't eat as well as I should, I still think "in points" to this day. Good luck! P.S. I'm glad your husband is feeling well enough to want to diet!
from boxx9000 :
I really DO think exercise is the key for maintaining a healthy body and weight. I used to be able to eat ANYTHING I wanted when I lifted weights, swam laps, played tennis and did aerobics. NOW what do I do? Hardly anything at all and the weight creeps on 1 or 2 pounds every year.
from shadesofblk :
I am glad all went well with your hubby's surgery.
from forty-plus :
Yes, that was RIGHT where we were the night before. I am not sure if they are going to charge the old guy but a LOT of people got hurt. Terrible.
from cassiopeia- :
Thank you for the nice note about my grandma. kisses, cassie
from shear-madnez :
Oh my soul! A whale? I would have pee'd my pants and drowned. I know that whales are not supposed to be agressive and stuff but holy barnacles! Something that big and alive right next to a kayak? I would have at least fainted. Glad your son had his senses about him and pulled anchor and got the heck away.
from forty-plus :
Wes & the Whale, sounds like a great kids' book!
from forty-plus :
Hurray for the good results! Rest well.
from thecrankyone :
yayyy!! So glad it all went well. Hope recovery is smooth and easy.
from shear-madnez :
Awesome news! Glad y'all are getting some much needed rest.
from sallydallydo :
HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
from yur-gonna-be :
::sigh:: So glad it is over with and that it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Hope his other health concerns are minimal as well. hugs ~
from yur-gonna-be :
Been thinking of you all so much today. Praying things went well.
from h2ophobic :
Oh Sweetie, I don't even know what you look like, but I wish I was there with you today. You, your husband and your boys will be in my prayers all day. God bless and keep you all safe from harm and worry today and everyday.
from bitterwineuk :
sending best wishes and big big hugs to you today. You and your family are in my thoughts. Becca.
from forty-plus :
What a wonderful, wonderful email. It will be okay. There are lots of people praying for him and your family. Love, love, love, Y.
from forty-plus :
I will be thinking of Hubby and your family on this Thursday!
from sallydallydo :
Hey you got your 3rd..."We can squash your boob sooner." All will go well with da hubs. Amazing the stuff they can do nowadays. He'll be in my prayers.
from her-story :
err... I meant PUCK (sorry)
from her-story :
I was just watching the RR/RW Fresh Meat epis last night. What is WITH the Austin crew? They by far are the worst ones yet. *gag* They make Puke look like a god...
from bitterwineuk :
((((Big hugs)))) I sometimes think that these things happen from time to time to make us aware of what we have around us and to make us grateful each day. Even more so when we get through these stresses of life ok. My family is plagued with ill health and they all got through it just fine. I know it's natural to worry, but just take each day at a time and you will get there. The best you can do is take the treatment/pre-cautions necessary. Wishing EVERYONE all the best and sending you big big hugs. Becca.
from h2ophobic :
You and your family are in my daily prayers. I know it's impossible NOT to be scared. Don't forget to take care of yourself too - go get that prescription filled! Here's a big HUG from MT!
from forty-plus :
I am sending your husband my best thoughts and gentle hugs to you.
from yur-gonna-be :
Praying that all turns out good for Stewart. Scary stuff!
from bitterwineuk :
that's ok hun. Sorry to hear about your husband. At least it has been discovered so some form of treatment can take place. It is terrifying but now it's out, things can begin to improve. I tried to note you last night (I'm UK time) but d'land wouldn't let me. I hope all goes well and I will keep in touch. Becca
from boxx9000 :
((((hugs))) and fingers crossed. You two just take care of his health issues and try not to worry about the next job. SOMEHOW it all works out. How? I don't know, it's a mystery.
from wedge-o-lime :
closing my eyes and repeating..."it'll all be good, it'll all be good"

Crossing my fingers and toes that all goes well for you and hubby
from forty-plus :
I just spoke with my mom in FL and she said it's supposed to be H-O-T down there this weekend. Stay in the AC!
from thecrankyone :
yummmmm Bison. I love Bison. Living in ND, bison is quite common, though I rarely buy it as it is at least twice or triple the price of beef depending on the cut. Now I'm hungry for a good bison (or buffalo as sometimes called) burger.. you're making me hungry
from thecrankyone :
I've always had big feet. I wear a size ten and have since I was 12 or 13. Warren will be 13 in two weeks and is already wearing size 13 EEE shoes. I blame his dad's genes. Nobody in my family has feet THAT big. Thankfully it's not such a big deal when you are a boy, or so I've heard.
from forty-plus :
I'm sorry Hubby backed out of the concert but Girl! you sound like you had a great time and good for you for not letting it stop you from going. Boys are hard to deal with sometimes, be they young or old! :) Congratulations about the new van!
from moee :
We can have the Greatest husbands but sometimes they do things that piss you off!LOL
from thecrankyone :
Now that is scary. Wow!! I'm glad everyone is alright. I hope they find the perp soon and the idiot never sees light again. YIKES!!
from wannagowest :
Hi, I found your diary from a comment you left for Nicole the other day. I also have fibro and I'll be checking out your diary to see how someone else is dealing with it. :)
from thecrankyone :
Glad hubby is okay. Hope you feel better soon. I don't do well with pain either, painkillers however..that's another story.. :)!!
from forty-plus :
Good news about Hubby, bad news about your back. I hope today is a better day for you.
from cassiopeia- :
So sad, right? Oh and I think you are right on that other thing too...do you babysit? LOL! kisses, cassie
from forty-plus :
How awful for everyone involved. So very sad.
from thecrankyone :
Her poor parents. I can't imagine how horrible it must be, one minute your kid is playing and the next she's gone. Talk about your freak accidents.
from poolagirl :
Sending hugs and good vibes.
from forty-plus :
Sending good vibes about your husband's test results and your tender boobie. :)
from shadesofblk :
Happy Mothers Day!!!
from forty-plus :
Happy 21st Birthday, Wes! xx, Y.
from thecrankyone :
Have a fun and safe trip
from shadesofblk :
Just passin thru. We have much in common including Fibro. Will need to catch up on your entries soon.*HUGS* Sherry
from chaosdaily :
here you cant be outside with an open container, although if you arent being a pain in the butt, most officers will overlook it. an open container in a car will get you fined, and tested for alcohol use, but its not a felony!
from thecrankyone :
Yikes I mean DAMN!! Sound like an innocent mistake. I've had my ex leave empties in my car, adn me paranoid if I get stopped. Keeping sripts outside the original bottle is a felony. Cheeze Louise, I've done that alot. Who carries a giant pill bottle to work, just so you can take one stupid pill?? If they were demerol or morphine or something controlled I could kind of understand but other wise sheesh!!
from forty-plus :
Your poor brother! I hope they reduce or better yet drop the charges. I mean - go catch some real criminals!
from chaosdaily :
didnt they test him for alcohol so they know he wasnt drinking? his lawyer should have no trouble getting that reduced to an open container in the car, which here means a fine and no loss of license.
from poolagirl :
Dang! I put my slippers on backwards this mornig, opened up Diaryland, and read your entry. You do that stuff too? I am not alone in this world! And neither are you, dear one. We are all more alike than we could ever imagine. Funny, huh?
from h2ophobic :
You wrote "i dont like writing in here anymore-i feel like i write about dumbshit that has know meaning....grrrrrr" PLEASE don't stop writing...I enjoy all of your entries. They're entertaining and funny. When they're not entertaining and funny - they're so honest! I don't know how many readers you have, but you have at least one FAITHFUL reader. I'd miss you so much if you quit.
from forty-plus :
My thoughts are with Stephanie's family and friends.
from thecrankyone :
sounds like a blast. I haven't been to the fair in years. So sad to hear bout the friend. why is it the drunks always walk away unscathed in these things. My uncle was killed by a 19 year old drunk idiot, and my uncle was sitting in his own freaking home minding his own business, when the guy missed a corner and drove thru Uncle Peter's window. Stupid fool.
from boxx9000 :
My ex in-laws play *favorites* with all the grandkids. My two kids always get overlooked. Since I'm not a grandparent I don't really understand this. I say , *It's THEIR loss". (the grandparents) Ifeel bad for MY kids, tho. I had such great grandparents. My own parents were good grandparents when they were alive. i don't get it. It makes no sense. Reading your diary entry let me know it's not only MY kids that have missed out on having caring grandparents.
from yur-gonna-be :
aww ... thanks for the note. but i am here to tell ya that the "reality tv nut bug" hasn't been much of anything lately (and i have no idea what's happening on any of the shows). just kind of wanting to be a loner. hair is gone, mouth sores are in, and tiredness has completely taken over. i had this week off but ended up inpatient last weekend and part of this week due to a fever. and if that wasn't bad enough, the damn steroids are making me look like the queen of good year blimps. like i wasn't extremely fat to begin with. oh well, hoping that once i am done with the steriods i'll be super skinny because not eating and hanging ones head much of the day should result in something, right? again, thanks for the note. sorry i haven't been around much. maybe soon. hugs ~
from forty-plus :
Happy 19th to your Doug!
from shear-madnez :
Isn't life so precious? We learn not to take each day for granted, don't we?
from poolagirl :
3/15/06 Blessings to you as you remember your husband's accident. Life can spin on a dime. Take care.

Good luck with Doug's MRI tomorrow. That's great about Crystal getting out a bit early. "Come to Mama," you're SO funny! :)
from forty-plus :
Thinking of Crystal today ... I hope that nasty pill takes care of it ALL! Hugs to her for the next couple of days.
from boxx9000 :
That's a whole lot of medical bad news. Is there something in the water?
from forty-plus :
The link would be Pray for Austin. (Removing the space after the = and the one after .com". My heart is breaking for him and all your upsetting news.
from yur-gonna-be :
All right!! It's your fault this time. ALL YOUR FAULT!!! You made me miss RR/RW tonight. Gosh dang it!! ohhhhh!!! but it was so good talking again. We're such goofs, don't ya think? With or without an invite your rear better be here. Or else - I'll come stalk ya. :) I'll keep you posted on all that happens. hugs ~

from forty-plus :
I always laugh out loud when I read through cards in the store, the good ones get a snort!
from thecrankyone :
Other than be there for her until she is ready to leave there isn't much you can do. Some women come to think so little of themselves they feel they deserve it, they believe there abuser, or feel so scared adn helpless they put up with it, rather than be alone or face the unknown, especially if they are older or have limited skills. I should know. I didn't know what I was really capable of until I was on my own and realized in the words of Christopher Robin, "I'm braver than I feel and smarter than I think"
from boxx9000 :
There's really nothing you can do until your aunt is ready to do it herself. Just let her know you love her, support her, and if she needs an *escape* (safe place) you are available. (sigh & hugs)
from forty-plus :
I hope your cousins can talk some courage into your aunt. So many years of this can make a person believe they deserve it. So sad.
from yur-gonna-be :
Wow! Very scary indeed. Hope it's nothing too serious. Hooray for Doug going to college. I hope he can stick with it. Happy Bday to Daulton. You gotta show pics of your new do now. Have a great weekend, too.

I've been on a SALT kick for some unknown reason (pms?) I should just buy a salt lick from the feed store and keep it handily located in the middle of the kitchen counter. ShEesh! I don't know what gets in to me sometimes. My body must NEED salt. Yeh, so it can swell up and bloat! GAH!
from forty-plus :
I took that quiz and posted an 80% spiritual. My born again In Laws would be very upset with me! If we scored a 60 and 80%, what about the other 40 and 20%? Fluff and fog in our heads? :) I hope you have a quiet day today. Sorry the Pats beat your team last night!
from forty-plus :
Don't you think being mean drags you down? I try not to be mean, but when I do I feel like I have his nasty residue left in me that's hard to purge. Then I decide, what the heck, even if being nice only pleases me, it pleases me and what's more important than that? *snort* Happy new year, my friend!
from forty-plus :

Shut up about my diary!! lol :) Glad you're back and that you had a good time. Can't wait to see the pics and hear the "stories." I am excited!! Can I tell ya that you were missed? Well, I just did. :)

from boxx9000 :
WELCOME HOME!

Thanks so much for adding Suburban Island to your D-land favorite's list. I am looking forward to reading about your cruise. I've always thought that would be fun.

Have a great time and try not to toss those boys overboard! :)
from mom2kendall :
I *laugh* at you and your 30's! It's only 18 here right now. 18 freakin' degrees. And of course it's snowing again LMAO! (Please...it is spring yet??)
from mom2kendall :
hehehe I had to go back through my 75 things list to see which ones we had in common. That's too funny! And boys are so weird sometimes...keeping stuff like that LOL Oh yeah...and I LOVED Rupert too!
from nascarwidow :
He hides the keys from me, can you believe that! :) Hubby got me the bench for X-mas 2 years ago. I think from Home Depot. It's the best. It keeps the outside junk outside!
from forty-plus :
Funny how they think all that stuff is so cool but they turn their noses up at emptying the garbage. Boys are funny creatures.
from yur-gonna-be :
solo cups? umm ... ok?! lol i can see the smashed oranges and the good luck thing. but what's the story behind the cups and him keeping them? good luck, too? lol that's too funny. you got yourself a couple of packrats there, patti. :)
from forty-plus :
They most definitely WOULD have done the same thing. Worse yet, I probably would have been out there egging them on!
from mom2kendall :
I thought the same thing when I saw Kenny/Lionel while I was flipping channels LOL!
from forty-plus :
Humpin' deer. Naughty boys!
from chaosdaily :
how funny.. you mowed your lawn and got your christmas decorations out. my lawn was covered with a couple inches of snow!
from yarnsmith :
Thanks for the nice note. I saw the Knot's Landing reunion too and also picked up on Val's boobs....or lack of boobage. I thought she looked like a corpse that had too many face lifts. All in all, I thought most, except William Devane looked really good for thier ages. Hubby and I were Knot's Landing Junkies. Hope all goes well with your eye and there is nothing serious.
from forty-plus :
Should you see a doctor about your eye? That's weird. I've been having a lot of trouble with my eyes, mostly my left, but I think it's because my eye doctor changed my prescription to a weaker one. He shouldn't have, he has this thought of never overdoing, always under. Shoot, I take pictures, I need to see clearly. I hope Hubby doesn't have anything terrible planned for your morning!
from forty-plus :
I know. The boy had a peanut butter sandwich hours before seeing his girlfriend. They kissed, she had a reaction and was rushed to the hospital, but within hours she had passed. Incredibly sad.
from forty-plus :
Hi Sweetie! Thanks for joining the East Coast diary ring. Happy Monday to you!
from yur-gonna-be :
lmao!! that's what we're gonna be doing come thursday night/friday morning. it starts earlier and earlier in salt lake every year. last year we got there at 10pm and there were already people in the layway line. so, we'll be heading out around 8pm Thanksgiving night. hope Doug has tons of fun with it. Jordan wants one, but I don't think he'll be getting one - I had to work last night and when I called around this morning at 10am all the stores were out. glad you had fun going to Georgia. send those gas prices this way. we're still paying $2.05. and tell the hubs to "stay put!!" lol in case I don't get the chance to sign before thursday .... Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, "sis." luvs ~
from forty-plus :
I hope Doug got his toy! You know there will be nothing else done until Monday but play, play, play. I hope you were able to fall asleep and rest well last night. ~Y

Hopefully Bailey's bones will heal quickly. That was good of her coaches turning lemons into lemonade. Good coaches.
from forty-plus :
Poor Bailey, she must be so bummed. Although this won't mess up off season training, so that's good. I hope your head lightens up for you today. You're so right about Christmas being less fun now the boys are old. We could look forward to grandkids -- in about ten years! :)
from yur-gonna-be :
Happy Birthday to Bailey Girl!! Glad you liked your present. :)

i just wanted to take a few moments to say thanks. the last few months have been extremely difficult - especially this past weekend. but being able to share all the details with you and knowing that you care brings tears to my eyes. so many times you could have walked away. but you didn't. and i am forever thankful that you are still here - after it all. you'll never truly know how much your friendship means to me. really. i feel thisclose to her and reading your words of encouragement make it seem that much closer. i hope i will get the chance to see her face to face on this earth. but if that chance never comes i will be ok with that, because i have this incredible sense of peace throughout my whole being knowing that my babies have FINALLY found each other. jordan said something this evening that made me realize it's "all right" ... he said if anyone ever hurt her they'd have him to answer to. now isn't what a brother/sister relationship is all about? i've wished for that for more than 16 years. tonight i got that wish. my babies have that relationship - although it's still newly forming - it's there. i couldn't ask for anything more. thanks for being there to share this weekend with me. thanks for listening. thanks!!
from yarnsmith :
Thanks for your note. Beg your husband...plead with him to hire someone to move that gravel. We did the gravel moving 2 days ago and you should have seen me try to come upstairs tonight...still so sore...it is pitiful...if it were Halloween, I could put on a Frankenstein mask and I'd have the walk down pat.

I take a sinus pill. It doesn't seem to matter the brand. Usually, I take the generic kind because they are cheaper. But when it gets bad I will take two pills instead of one! Good luck hope it works!
from angelsxvoice :
hey .. what happened to the note i left you on here? ... uh .. ok. :( anyway, i posted to you on myspace recently, too, and it didn't post. just wanted to see what was going on. hope all is well ~ nik
from hissandtell :
Oh, your note about Velma cracked me up. I'm loving your photos, too. Now, about this Halloween dress-up business - are you mad, darling, putting it back? Of course you must be a sexy fairy; a woman can never have too many costumes with wings (and tiaras). Explore your inner fairy, I say! Now that I'm back home, I'm looking forward to reading much more of your diary. Love, R xxx
from nascarwidow :
Thanks for the link to the pics! What a bunch of hunks you live with! Great pictures. Believe it or not, all 3 of my guys can sew but Fred is the only one who actually does it.
from forty-plus :
They would have just backed out and shut the door until their father came home. Then they all would have called someone else to handle both messes! Rotten fruit does not fall far from the tree!
from forty-plus :
Hurray for Bailey! She did so well, just excellent!
from forty-plus :
Best of luck to Bailey! I hope everyone has a great time.
from nascarwidow :
Yep, you read right. I have this thing about flying. My family all love to fly and only drive for me! Isn't that sweet? Hey, don't forget about the Lemon Law. Maybe if you threaten them with filing a complaint with that they'll do something. Good luck
from mom2kendall :
Let's take Doug's car and my hot water tank out back and put them out of their misery ;-) LMAO! Nothing ever goes right with our vehicles either.
from forty-plus :
Oooo! You have to take a camera along with you on the boat. My dad just sent pictures from one of his fishing excursions featuring a 6 foot alligator. He says the 12" and 24" baby gators hang around the boat while he's fishing. I asked him (through email) if he is ever tempted to grab one for a great photo op. He hasn't answered me!
from golfwidow :

It only takes a second! Good luck tomorrow.

I am using a REBEL EOS right now but I usually use the Canon D20. I have a few different lens, but am hoping for a higher quality zoom than I have right now. Especially if I can make money with this hobby! Here's hoping! :)
from forty-plus :
I hope your headache is a thing of the past! :)
from forty-plus :
School starts on the 5th of August? Horrors!

from poolagirl :
Thanks for stopping by my diary and making me a fave!

Just getting caught up after vacation - I had a benign cyst removed a few years ago. It is great your physician is proactive, mine was a bit laid back at first because I was only in my thirties. She ended up being the one to schedule me for surgery after we couldn't come up with definitive answers. All turned out well and I will pray for the same result for you. Take good care, Y.
from nmnohr :
Oh wow, how scary. I'll be thinking of you, and hoping Friday gets here quick, and everything turns out OK. Hang in there.
from forty-plus :
Hi Patti - you're right, we do seem to have tons in common. I have even been looking for the Jergens Natural Glow, how funny is that? Thank you for adding me to your favorites. I am off to do the same for you. Have a great Monday!
from poolagirl :
WOW! Thanks for stopping by my diary! I am really flattered that you made me a fave. I look forward to reading through your stuff to find out more about you and your life stories. Have a nice weekend (what's left of it).
from days-ahead :
I really don't like myspace. But best of luck to ya - over there. Let me know when you update since I don't have a link to let me know. Gotta run. Buh Bye!!
from days-ahead :
I watched "foo-fee-foo-fee" tonight. I don't know about those two, their relationship is so freaking odd. The way they talk to each other - they are so flipping anal at times. She looks like she is drunk 24/7. Odd, very, very odd!! That's all I gotta say about those two. :)
from days-ahead :
Oh, and did you watch Trading Spouses on Monday? What was up with that lady giving those kids 3 bucks a week of allowance? DANG!!!
from days-ahead :
Pot? As in pothead? lol Uh huh, I know EXACTLY what you were smokin', I mean meant. lol lol
from days-ahead :
You go be on that show and I'll sit back and LMBO like I did Sunday night. Your family would end up with someone who didn't allow pets in the house, and she'd ship Bo off on a doggie vacation. She wouldn't allow any TV after dinner, and absolutely NO SPORTS on Sunday. And she'd make your family on go a family outting to have a picnic in the park. Therefore you'll have her family that reads stories together after dinner, plays ring a round the rosies in the back yard, sings "Do You Know The Muffinman" on the way to the GrandParents house. You'll have to do 5 hours of house work every single day, and drink coffee from a straw because you had your teeth bleached and you can't let the coffee touch your pearly whites. Uh huh ... do it. I wanna see ya. lol lol lol

I admire anybody who can go into coaching, especially at the high school level. Being on the sidelines taking pictures and such, it's not the kids who are bad but the parents! They're terrible! Coaches get some glory if they win and all the grief if they lose! But coaches really have a chance to make such a difference in kids' lives, I've seen it quite a bit -- well, in the good ones of course.
