Have you considered, perhaps, learning how to cook youself? If you're aleady the one buying the groceries, I mean....
from dangerspouse :
The difference is, draping yourself in velvet IS socially acceptable. Go for it!
from dangerspouse :
What kind of revivalist doesn't update in over a year?
from jpop :
leotard! thanks for that, its nice to hear kind words...i feel the same for you oldest buddy!!!
from jaysthoughts :
As to last entry - "Why not both?"
from dangerspouse :
I vote: miserable town full of psychopaths. But I'm just playing the odds.
from dangerspouse :
Caleb Proulx? The legal activist? Pretty cool wrong number call if you ask me. I've had much worse.
from dangerspouse :
How's the not-drinking thing going? Still in and out?
from saint-erin :
I still sometimes think about that amazing thai sesame soup you made with jut that one time. Ramen will always be a quick delicious sodium overload favorite!
from panzuda :
i counted the x's. i know who all of them are. consider yourself decoded by at least one person in the universe.
from saint-erin :
kari, i bet people feel the same way about you when they see you play music. An artist who is able to go on tour playing her music to people who enjoy listening to it. I am sure some people have been star struck by you. Wakey Wakey. :)
from outer-jessie :
Ha! I love your last entry (May 18) in every way.
from jaysthoughts :
Hahah.. bazinga.
from jaysthoughts :
That was leotarded. *badum tsh!* ...See what I did there?
from panzuda :
best post
from saint-erin :
We are 2 peas in a pod-I've been sleeping in a queen size bed at my parents but half of it is covered with stuff. Also, the bed takes up almost the entire room which makes it hard to be productive for some reason. I cant wait to have a small bed again. I was working on some stuff in my room today and half of my body was under the bed. You know how I hate tall beds. Cheers to us for living with our parents and sleeping in their beds!
from saint-erin :
Hey babe, I wish you would start writing in this again but no pressure.
from despierto :
dear leotard, i loved your entry about your top three loves so much, i just read it again out loud.
from whitepants :
I, too, love all kinds of pizza: from the gross to the gourmet.
from pettyquarrel :
I love your diary the way a fish loves water. In the sense of like ... almost needing it or something. Sigh.
from despierto :
almost went biking yesterday. and the day before. instead i saw leland at the symphony on saturday night and bashed my hand playing volleyball. i pretty much only want to bike by the river. and maybe to china.
from despierto :
remember my 8th grade self fixation? your groundhog day blue moon nightmare experience reminds me of similar feelings i had about being the reincarnation of my 8th grade self. tonight i am sending you a good dream about Brussels sprouts.
from despierto :
that's the way i've heard rain my whole life until recently. the basement window well holds a special place in my heart.
from inwardblink :
sorry u are in rotten cherry hell. at least the bottles will be good for mini-bowling after they are empty? good times & red roses.
from despierto :
sounds kind of like the variety the students at work play.
from despierto :
i love that you wrote about being patient in the process. i feel like that phrase is the theme of my life this last year....and maybe from here on out. i don't know how, but somewhere, somehow i feel i've accepted patience in process across the board--even patience in other people's processes of learning, and i think it's one of the most important things i've been learning and feeling in my life. it makes me feel in control and strong.
from rabbitfoot :
your entry monster ballads just made me laugh so hard!!! can i please hear that mixtape?!
from unclockwise :
I am all for a revival.
from rabbitfoot :
LET US BRING IT THE HELL BACK!!!!!
from whitepants :
So I am late to the party...but did the revival not happen?
from saint-erin :
wtf! i laughed really hard when i read that... I can picture you doing that so clearly!
from whitepants :
Who is it? Who who!
from panzuda :
i know who that is!!
from despierto :
it IS happening more often. every day i try to contact you. . . . i guess my telepathy hasn't been working.
from whitepants :
:(
from whitepants :
Sorry about your kitty. The death of pets--especially ones who've been around so long--is so so sad.
from despierto :
"don't worry, baby. don't worry baaaay-beeee!" i heard that in the store in the morning and thought of you.
from panzuda :
i already miss you. so so so much. waaah.
from despierto :
i love hearing about football in columbus! and the outsiders! i've been hearing about your footballness even here. now i've got a little taste of it. love!
from despierto :
you are dreaming of the day when i walk in the door and yell, "honey, i'm home!" think of that scene from little shop of horrors. think of plastic covered furniture and carpets! this is your dream.
from despierto :
last night i was at sego with crystal and company. we were walking down university avenue and crystal asked me to do my crazy walk. and then i did another and others did some weird things, and then i said alound, "i wish kari was here!" and crystal said, "i wish kari was here every minute of every day." or something like that.
from hrtlssrmntc :
its pretty debbie to write a note right after already writing a note, but this is necessary! i read your entry about good and bad signs and seeing the same times over and over again but better worded and I HAD BEEN HAVING THAT RECENTLY! this could be a good sign or a scary sign. but mostly a creepy sign of me being a creep! sorry! goodbye!
from hrtlssrmntc :
this has been the most fabulous thing i've ever read that wasn't a book. reading this has lifted the day from "not bad" to "really quite decent". thnkz for the lols.
from despierto :
k, i am in a state of constant confusion right now. i miss living with you, too. which you already know. i miss being around kindred spirits! so so much. it is at least better here than in boston on that front. but not perfect.
from panzuda :

from paperfriend :
what if in your effort to not let your fear hold you back your fear starts to hold ME back. that would be lamers. i am at the mac store right now. i installed leopard and it totally jacked up my computer. so i brought it in and now justin grow is giving it a look see.
from panzuda :
natalie portman naked made me so sad! for a second i actually thought she was supposed to be a holocaust survivor or something. i don't mean that as an insult against her though just that it is so surprising to see a body that is so different.
from paperfriend :
what about chris= christopher a.
from paperfriend :
which philosopher?
from ladyregent :
I hadn't visited diaryland in a long time, and I just sort of randomly browsed yours while looking for an old friend's (who isn't here anymore :( ) I'm glad I did, I like your little bits and pieces. Um, it's not really worth visiting the ladyregent diary. I'm starting on a little project that I might send you a link to later if you'd like to see it, but really I just wanted to say I enjoyed reading a slew of your entries :)
from despierto :
kari! every single thing that i hear or that happens around me lately has struck me as needing to be part of a story. i don't write stories, but now i have all this stuff, all these people that should be in stories! it is weird and great!
from despierto :
what!!?? who did cathy marry? WHEN did cathy get married? can the comic Cathy still exist if she is married? doesn't it just self-destruct or something....or maybe marriage gives them even more stuff to deal with. !
from paperfriend :
have you heard of the artist named howard finster? if you have not, you should look him up, i love him. he was a folk artist, old man who is now dead. why i am telling you about him is melissa had a teacher who met him. the teacher said when he met him howard was sitting on his (which is funny to me he met him in his room) eating from a block of cheese. the teacher said something like 'what's up howard. and h.f. said 'just eating some cheese.'
from despierto :
no more teeth brushing! wooden dentures! a dream come true!
from despierto :
i loved these entries. i love work stories. i love people stories! i love people! and kids!

from paperfriend :
i have always wondered why you have that thick accent.
from whitepants :
I used to hear "Someday We'll Be Together" by the Supremes in stores back when Spencer and I were broken up and it would make me cry in public every time. Because I knew that I believed it in my heart, but I didn't want to admit that I was so foolisly hopeful...but my hope was right!
from saint-erin :
"A thousand violins fill the air!" One time at work a supremes song was playing on the overhead and it filled me such happiness. I then went to the mall on my lunch break and bought the cd. It is still my favorite cd right now. I like your new diary.
