| Ok I meant to write this after I read your last entry, but I think my computer was freezing on me or something at the time. Anyway, I just want to say that regardless of what your grades this semester are, you should not be thinking that it would've been better for you to stay home and get a job after high school, just to spare your family the extra money that college cost. If you hadn't made the decision to go to college, you probably would've been miserable and very unsatisfied with your life. It's not like you're a bum or something...you work hard and put in the effort for a really hard major that I know I personally would've given up on after taking one intro course; I know you're not ecstatic with your grades right now so here's what I think: first, try the study-harder route...go to office hours, tutors, whatever. If that doesn't work and grad schools don't work out this year, then take a year off. You don't HAVE to do something engineering-related during the time off. My one other piece of advice to you with applying to grad schools is to cast your net wide. I have no idea which schools you applied to other than the couple that you mentioned in your entries. But I know a girl who applied to law schools this year and ONLY applied to ridiculously competitive schools, and she hasn't gotten accepted anywhere. So just make sure you have a good mix of safeties, targets, and reaches. Basically what I'm trying to say is that whatever happens, you should not be regretting your decision to go to college. And things might not happen exactly like you planned them, but in the end, my experience has been that they always have a way of working themselves out. |

If she says yes, then you'll be really happy and everything will have worked out. Either way, you would've gotten it off your chest and you won't have to sit around wondering, "what if." When you begin to think about time and realise you don't understand it at all it is even funnier when you then have to teach time to 8/9 year olds. Talk about do your head in. | I don't know that this will be much help, but, as a girl, I would say that something simple like the 'wishing you to be my valentine' one would be best. I don't know what Tori is like so I can only say what I would like but since everyone knows what valentine's day means, simple says it all. If you see what I mean. I've only just got up so I don't know how I am going to feel yet today. I don't know what I think about religion and Christianity in particular. I lost all my faith five years ago now when I realised how totally awful I am. I don't think it will ever come back.
