I think it's a perfectly reasonable request. But you also have to look at it from his perspective. It does seem like you don't trust him, or maybe you're even scared or something. But why wouldn't you be? You're only being smart about it. So no, it's not unreasonable at all. But to him it could seem like an insult.

Every one of my friends says I write TOO much, though, so I try to not to overload everyone's mailboxes ;) Thanks for your note. I'm glad you see me as support, I am so sorry about all the sad things going on and that your grandma passed away. Yeah, actually I've been sick, so I got some blood tests done for diabetes and anemia and things like that, it turns out I have a bit of anemia, but it should go away with iron pills. I haven't gotten back a full result, but so far that's what they are saying! I am so glad it's not diabetes or something neurological (I have been getting dizzy). OK, thanks so much! Hi Ragnhild, I'm sorry about your family's attitudes toward your wedding, I wish you had more certainties so that you felt better. I think all the pill stuff is complicated, I would guess the condom is easier and it just makes more effective the whole process. I'm sorry those pills give you anxieties. I just love Norwegian weddings, though - with bunads, it must be that since I'm foreign I sort of have all "wow" like others do pi�atas and things like that. What kind of bunader do you have? I'm on the mini pill. Microluton. I haven't had any side effects, but a little bleeding in between two periods. No weight gain, maybe some mood swings. But actually, if you remember to take it the exact same time every day, the side effects will be less.. I've been on them for almost a year now. They work great ;)

ortho-tri cyclen made me gain weight both times i was on it. as for the whole teeth thing, my little sister does it with grand results...so now my parents do too. it works really quickly and their dentist said it is perfectly safe to do the at-home kits, which is what they have. (oh, thanks for the nice stuff in my guestbook! sorry it takes me such a shameful amount of time to reply. BAD alison.)

Hey... I don't know if you know who I am. I used to read your diary at the OD when you were writing there. I don't even know which name you knew me by there, because I've changed so many times since then. The only thing I can say to give you any clue is that I'm from Sweden. the latest i'll find out who my host family is is on the 2nd of january...the day i leave. that's the very latest, and i don't think that it's going to be any sooner, because 8 people from australia are going to norway and they haven't found host families for any of the people going...they have a lot of catching up to do.

when i found out what happened, i wanted to throw up. i still do. i've been glued to the news all day...mainly because i'm waiting for the casualty lists to come out. there's a chance that my maths teacher, who was on holiday from australia to new york to visit his son (who works two blocks away from the world trade centre) might have died (or affected in some way). even though i live in australia, there seems like heaps of people around me are at a risk - i.e., lots of my friends know people that work there, or around there. a guy in my ag class has friends that work at the world trade centre. one of my teachers has a friend that lives in chinatown manhattan - and has been trying deperately to get in contact with them. we've got a line open for people worried, but you have to be a relative...and it's driving everyone crazy. i can't believe this has happened...and i'm going nuts about all my american friends. i guess i'll find out soon enough.
