Hi Yelen, you locked your diary! and thank goodness I haven't forgotten my log-in details for my stevieg account. Can I have access to your diary? I have been a reader of your diary for years and it feels odd to suddenly not being able to access. But if you're really keeping it private to only people you know in real life, I'd understand too. Cheers.
from silverywhite :
Oh no! You locked your diary :( By the way, thanks for your note. Things are getting better with my family :)
from silverywhite :
Thanks! I try to write a Chinese entry once in awhile so my Chinese doesn't get rusty >_>
from dontremember :
i just stumbled upone this. aaand i am remembering my love for tennis anew. i enjoyed. :)
from silverywhite :
Yes FMA Brotherhood is Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood indeed. I only started watching it 'cause my roommates insisted, but it's pretty good so far! I didn't watch the original one but from what I've heard, the original FMA diverged from the manga starting from around episode 15 and has a completely different storyline from then on. FMA Brotherhood is a remake that follows the manga more closely. It started in April I think and comes out weekly, so we've gotta wait a whole week for a new episode =(
from julymalaise :
I think your diary is pretty cool, mind if I add you? Add me too.
from silverywhite :
Hi there! I've been lurking around your diary for a couple of days and decided to leave you a note 'cause I'm bored at work. I absolutely love your diary and everything you write about, from Jay Chou to Taiwan (I was there for 4 months last year and loved it!) to Federer (I'm not a fan yet but my sister and dad are...so I got moderately sucked into their hype) to...ah, you know, just everything. You've written so much that I find myself coming back every now and then when I'm bored and just reading a random entry from way back when. I wanted to comment on your entry about how Chinese people aren't willing to criticize their own country (forgot when you wrote that) and I must say I agree with you completely - my boyfriend keeps telling me the same thing, and I'm one of those Chinese people that used to be very defensive about the country, blah blah blah. Anyway, if I write anymore, this will qualify as an entry for me (mine are much shorter, not as detailed as yours >_<). Just wanted to say hi! Keep writing and I will definitely be back to read your 2000+ entries.
from nmj :
hello. :) you really stuck it out with dland eyh? hope things are good. it has been eons since i logged on to dland. at any rate, im sure a lot has happened. i was just feeling a tad bit nostalgic over things. ;)
from mymonologues :
waah sorry, i should read better, you already wrote it in 2007! haha I added you as buddy btw :D!
from mymonologues :
Hey ! What a coincidince we've both written about Catullus' love letters! check out my entry from last week it's called 'Carmen 58'.. Was it just coincidence or did it gave you an Idea if i may ask! nice writing btw! Greetings from Amsterdam! Masalama!
from darthuae :
I love your template!
from snakeandgirl :
thank you.
from sunfuck :
omfg, i wanna read your diary, but i don't have a television and veronica mars season three hasn't come out on dvd yet. shits.
from rocksbaby :
Contrary to all other reviews, I thought the Da Vinci Code was watchable; if only because it was true to adaptation and I got to see the works of art and put to view the pieces I had only been able to view in my mind. Heh. But yeah, I do agree that anyone who BELIEVES the plot has got be something wrong somewhere. That was the part that was so predictable, even while I was reading the book. And you are the second person I know to think Silas is hot in the movie. There must be something I missed. Hmmm... Last, but not least (I wonder why people like saying this), BON VOYAGE!
from rocksbaby :
"It's so stupid because it's just one bloody insignificant mistake ... It scares me that there are actually people in this country who are voting for the PAP simply because of the money they gave out recently." --> My sentiments exactly. I guess these people are banking on the fact that some Singapore citizens are materialistic and/or do not have a mind of their own to bring them back into power. Anyway, I am pretty sure you can scrape through Contract. I remember hating Contract just as much but with enough bullshitting skills, I managed to gain an above-average score overall. Heh. So, you, having more intelligent and convincing answers can pull through!
from bamboostick :
hello, haven't dropped by here for a long while :) anyway no offence but law really sounds uber boring.. :( uuuccckkk. hopefully it gets more interesting in ur 3rd/4th yr.. my sis told me she enjoyed law anyway, lol. Hmm is there really a rift btwn law and arts students in nus? i might be entering nus for sociology this yr heh.
from unfaerietale :
gay pride
from flyakite :
You sound depressed. :( There's medicine that can make you feel better, I think.
from flyakite :
Wow.. you got mad at me. :( I read some of your poetry. I read the one about Codeine Cough Syrup and the one about The End of Love...they called to me from my current state of mind. Not bad stuff, y'know?
from flyakite :
So, the brute who rapes and strangles that 9-yr old little girl shouldn't be put to death? What? Our taxes should support his stay in prison for about 60 years? And what of the little girl? She got the death penalty, didn't she?
from bamboostick :
oops! i mean chungking.. bleah
from bamboostick :
hey i'm popping by again heh^^ just googled on tt chungching express movie on ur page layout and it sounds damn cool!!! wow thanks for putting it up i'll go check up on it someday.. haha.. and uhm.. bamboostick used to be my nickname in sec 2.. freaking lame huh *rolls eyes* hahaha.. and i can't rem how it came about but.. yeah i think cuz i used to be very skinny?? (but just to clarify i'm of acceptable weight now and not as thin as before.. *phew*)
from bamboostick :
hi hope u feel better soon :)
from bamboostick :
(ps. i was reading one of your last few paragraphs abt being afraid to reveal ur deepest secrets and insecurities in case they'd turn pple away and i feel the exact same way.)
from bamboostick :
hi! haha crap why do those pple sound so stupid bleah discriminating against gays's like discriminating against handicapped pple just cuz they're not defined as "normal"... ahh and relationships i just can't get the male psyche lol but most girls are straight in s'pore.. i seem to have lost all hope in them :S
from bamboostick :

HAHAHAHAHA!!! :D
from bamboostick :

from bamboostick :
hey, just found out you posted me some notes long time ago... lol actually you've seen me before at the initial d movie premiere.. my chinese name's peiqi haha do you remember?? Felt too embarrassed to tell you though haha
from bamboostick :
Sad to see that so many girls, in s'pore especially, are so obsessive about being skinny... it gets kinda irritating sometimes but i guess they're all perpetuating the same vicious cycle. The definition of "fat" here is pretty ridiculous.
from nmj :
hi yelen. just saying hi and now that your diary is vieable thru firefox, i can read you more often. (i didnt know you did reviews!! must be really left behind). you take care then girl. 18 already. time flies. im a old farty tarty 23 woman already.
from jomelchaton :
well, it's heartbreaking if you know Before Sunrise...it broke my heart knowing what happened after Before Sunrise.
from stevieg :
it's over here. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ do a clean sweep. :)
from stevieg :
i hate blood tests too. and i have to go for one soon too. arghhhh. i didn't have a blood test when i entered ntu so hope it's just a normal checkout without the bloodtest then. and i like the layout of jay's fanlisting. :)
from serxon :
ur fanlisting site design is really nice.. esp the blended picture on the right.. so so nice.. i like!
from stevieg :
straits times didn't do edison justice. made him out to be a brat but i always knew him to be nice around fans/people well basically anyone but the press. =) sigh i should have gone..ha anyway gonna watch initial d tomorrow too.
from bamboostick :
hey since u like catcher in the rye i'd like to recommend rubyfruit jungle by rita mae brown.. it's got a similar style in that it's just as blunt though it's much easier to like the protagonist. and yeah the initial d anime sucks to the core i wanna see jay chou face-to-face :D
from serxon :
hey, that transceiver 16 yrs thing freaked me out too.. anyway i might not be able to make it on 21june but i'll let u know again. (:
from serxon :
how do you win tix to the premiere?? i dont mind going together. (=
from serxon :
hey.. i wanna go see jay too! like he's finally coming... x)
from stevieg :
oh my, ultimate stalking. :P but as you mentioned, shaw would probably be flooded. I hate crowds too but I'll see how it goes...check with my friend to see if she wants to go. :D now if only can get the premiere tickets. i got tix to mr n mrs smith's pte screening but i rather get this instead. *yelps*
from stevieg :
yup his shop seems to be selling a combination of items ranging from clothes/shoewear etc and too bad it was closed :(((( wanted to go in. it says there that it opens at 2pm but i reached at around 3 plus and bah closed. :(
from stevieg :
yup i found jielun's shop which ermm wasn't exactly easy to find. cos there were just too many small lanes around. :P and his shop wasn't open!!!! :((( and there seemed to be quite a few nice shops around the area too! =) but my travel companions were in a pissy mood (after making wrong turns and stuff) so didn't venture into the shops. :( and heard the taipei dong qu area is a favourite haunt of the celebs so no wonder saw alex toh and this other comicboy member which I totally didn't recognize. haha.
from bamboostick :
have i mentioned that i love reading your diary? well, i do.. so funny and witty... i like your ode to jay chou! glad i managed to find a blog like yours. :):):)
from stevieg :
congratulations! =)
from stevieg :
I have never attempted to apply for relief teaching but from your entries, must be quite an experience eh. Public speaking is never natural but now you have to do that to an entire class of students, yeah I really wonder how teachers survive. at least gp is some sort of a crapping subject. =) I can't imagine relief teaching for subjects like econs, probably kena corrected by some smart ass. :p by the way, what is the name of jielun's shop?
from stevieg :
just taipei..you have any nice places/malls etc to recommend? :)
from stevieg :
i'm going with four other girls for a week. =) almost couldn't get a hotel. lousy tour agency. :\
from stevieg :
thanks for the add...but....but ermm how do I get there? haha. is it near to any mrt, any landmarks? yep, visiting taiwan next month. =)
from stevieg :
oh my yelen..is that kiddo jielun in your new layout? it rocks =) actually I keep forgetting but I've been meaning to find out from you the exact location/address of jielun's antique shop. :p
from orionreviews :
we cannot review your diary as it stands. your text box does not agree with firefox.
from deaf-knee :
hahha thanks for the luck and the congratulatory msg etc. :) the stupid m'sian gov has come up with a 3 mth national service programme that I got chosen for so I'm gonna be NS-ing from 3 months starting monday till the 3rd of june.
from deaf-knee :
yelen ; not your baby. :)
from rocksbaby :
Hey, I don't know if you realise this but I read your diary. For months now. Heh. Anyway, the point of my note here is to give you my heartiest congratulations. All the best for the next phase of applications. :)
from stevieg :
i'm not surprised at all..congrats girl! =)
from deaf-knee :
congratulations! :) yourock.
from jomelchaton :
Well done!!! You did far better than me anyway hahaha!! :) *hugs*
from stevieg :
yelen..just wanna wish you all the best for whatever that is to come later. it's pointless asking u not to worry cos I was a nervous wreck once but things should be fine. i await your good news.
from stevieg :
hey do be careful about those modelling jobs cos some of them claim to be free but in the end you'll still have to fork out 100 over dollars for some portfolio (makeover) thingy.
from stevieg :
i mean "now neglected"
from stevieg :
actually i joined the supposedly biggest nqmm yahoo group too...all are taiwanese groups cos the celebs themselves do go back there to leave messages and stuff. and the sad thing is..that biggest nqmm group is not neglected and swarmed with ads. :\ you can try joining this yuhao's grp @ http://tw.club.yahoo.com/clubs/all_love_love_yuhao
from bamboostick :
hey stumbled upon ur diary while searching for news on jay chou and his new gf.. and i TOTALLY agree with you about how stupid the media is! I don't believe he's ever been together with jolin tsai either, and yeah she sucks... i don't like her singing and i wonder why people like her at all; i don't think she's THAT pretty. Anyway I really like your views :) It was a pleasant surprise reading your blog.. and finding out we have so many similar views! :) Haha and i like yuhao too, just bought nqmm's album.. he's talented and is the shy-quiet-sweet type that i like! Good luck for your A level results... and hey Arts stream isn't that bad, you should just do what you enjoy.. i'm from arts too :)
from stevieg :
I think he's born in '81...not really sure...joined some yahoo group of his immediately after jielun's concert. ha..:P
from stevieg :
no i don't have nqmm's album but i think their songs rock especially seeing them perform live again in the jielun incomparable dvd. :) yuhao's child-like appeal is indeed very angelic (minus the horrible eyebags..poor student celeb)
from stevieg :
haha you like yuhao too??? i was totally captivated with him during the concert when he showed off his remarkable piano skills with jielun..ooo
from stevieg :
i think you must have heard about the jielun's confession by now... >//<
from stevieg :
forget abt the starhub job. my cousin works for them..something similar if not the same that they are offering you and they always pay her late. :\
from unfaerietale :
erm i smoke
from stevieg :
starting work tomorrow? all the best yah...at least it's only temporary. sales job is interesting but can get pretty tiring with all the standing whole day long. but well, have fun. :) it's probably only during the after As' hols that we can try out different wacky jobs
from stevieg :
forget the papers..I walked in one of their boutiques and the sales assistant gave me this card to call up their HR. And so I did, trotted down to their HR office (for the interview) which was located at this rather ulu, residential part of singapore and few days later, HR person called and posted me to one of their shops. actually i tried for some taka sales job too, to sell scarves actually but the response was too overwhelming, they didn't want me but partly cos it was in the papers. :\
from stevieg :
i worked at a designer boutique after my As' and well the job paid 6/hour and with the random off days during a month, it's about 1250 a month. Wasn't that bad =) and shop closes at 8 unlike the usual 10 for most departmental stores.
from stevieg :
but i must add..it's remarkable the way he made up his own lyrics but well actually just a string of words to confess that he has forgotten. lol.
from stevieg :
i just bought the concert cd too...great stuff been listening to it again and again...and now everything's in my ipod, ready for on the go. and yeah he's pianxin for singing 4 whole songs for encore in taiwan. sigh
from randompoetry :
thanks for favourite-ing us. how'd you find us by the way? sarika x
from stevieg :
oh yeahh i'm going to catch 'my brother' next week. :P I guess I'll try to have fun but it's gonna be belated fun. it's on the eve of v day and i have a presentation on v day and a quiz on the 15th. totally cool.
from cir- :
ooohh...nice layout. pity it doesn't work well with on the firefox browser. do msged me the add of your wkplace and your working hours...may visit you. haha. anw, your boss needs anymore workers? i need a job!!!
from stevieg :
your prelim grades are like waay better than mine. if my lousy memory permits, I think I got BCC, something along that line. Ha. And at the As', struck jackpot. so it just might happen...and I believe you will do well. =)
from cir- :
now now...what's wrong with kovan? it's pearlyn's area. pretty near my home. hah. you're working at marine parade on saturdays? when? and where? maybe i can pay you a visit. :)
from stevieg :
yup I was from arts too. I went through twice of the freshman orientation as in I was part of the freshies then I went back to help in my second year. It wasn't so bad, quite fun actually, 5 fully packed days with a sentosa stayover thrown in. my juniors slept in the underwater world...it's definitely more interesting than jcs but with more outrageous games.
from serxon :
hello, i've finished watching and it's so nice! (: xiaotian is so cute. haha. kk, can i have your address so that i can mail it back to you.. thx again.
from stevieg :
erps, looks like the pseudo prom left a dent in your memories instead. A FUNERAL SERVICE set up the platform???!! Oh goddd...I'm sure there are other organizations involved with parties/cocktails setting up (but some of them do all type of functions tho') whatever but, oh geez, I'm pretty much speechless too. yes those who came in jeans are geniuses....the least jj could do is to get a decent hotel or something, a country club would be fine too. My school used to have this tradition of having it at a country club but it seems like it's now at some hotel. My class had, erm..4 guys. a uni d&d usually happens after the freshman orientation where all the OGs dress up and go for some dinner at a hotel with pageant and stuff, so it's similar to a prom i guess. :)
from serxon :
hey hey, thanks so much for lending me the dvd! (:
from stevieg :
during my jc days...nj had theirs in their school hall. duno if they have upgraded to some posh hotel though. I didn't go for mine cos 3/4 of my class girls decided NOT to go..lolz..there were very few guys in my class. They went..we somehow decided that there are better things to do than spending $. But i did attend my uni d&d later on so didn't miss much on the prom hooha. anyway enjoy the pseudo prom tomorrow. it's after all...the last part of your memories with jj.
from stevieg :
and I thought nj was the one who had theirs in school. :X well..I didn't go for my jc prom (ha). I have never bought any cd from Borders before but I sure hope they have the jielun vcd/dvd when it comes out. that prepaid card...was a prize from some oh so prestigious (and too stressful) competition that my class group took part it. It wasn't voluntary.
from stevieg :
you don't have your prom in a hotel or something?
from stevieg :
I couldn't really remember..but I think he did..appeared to play more than once. yeah it's good that he looked up. and as for the shaking hand bit, some celebs do insist to hold your hand regardless of the irritating gongzuorenyuans but it all depends...and yeahhh deal! we'll go see him the next time he comes and is that dvd out?! I have this borders prepaid card thingy that I could think of nothing to splurge on till his dvd came to my mind. well I hope borders have it when it comes out.
from serxon :
thanks so much! do u prefer meeting up or snail mail? if it's the latter, i can pay for the postage fees. (: anyway, my number is 90694641. sms me yah.
from serxon :
seriously? u're lending it to me? :D i have a dvd player, should be able to play. i dont understand why jay chou dont have autograph sessions in sg. :(
from stevieg :
oh and I was wondering..was there any remote possibility that one could actually chat briefly with jielun? did any taiwanese fan attempt that? I accompanied my cousin to the stef sun one last week (and totally regretted it)..she didn't lift up her head at all. As for jielun..I would have gladly queued as well....sigh.....that eye contact moment, it must have been an electrifying 3 seconds. treasure it. *meepies*
from stevieg :
firstly..I watched that charity basketball match too. Downloaded it. Hell it was over 800mb in size. The Jielun queue was from level 1 to level 7...well well if he ever comes to singapore to do this. i bet the queue would be bloody horrendous as well.but your mom was nice to accompany you, my mom wouldn't in a million years but then again, it's taiwan not singapore so maybe mom would, seeing that it's not home and all that..
from serxon :
hah, i think neither way works for me. yang you ning is so cute! or is he hot? haha
from serxon :
im so envious! u get to watch formula 17 (shi qi sui de tian kong right?).. sigh.
from stevieg :
singaporeans are disgusting when it comes to the MRT..oh boy the taiwanese really queued? guess that was never in our culture
from stevieg :
yessss...continue with your taiwan entry before you start losing bits of the memory. but i'm absolutely sure you'll remember every single itsy bit of the jielun encounter.
from stevieg :
hey you are back!!! looking forward to that jielun entry.... :)
from stevieg :
glad to see you updating from taiwan. although it didn't seem like a very pleasant trip so far (discounting the good buys) but hey there's the upcoming jielun autograph session to look forward to right?
from unfaerietale :
erm nyu is a private uni thats why it didnt make it to the top fifty list yah
from stevieg :
have a good trip. =)
from stevieg :
then we should go together next time...serious! ha yeah i know that feeling. I can't very well make my friends fork out $148 too. I was seated at the b17 area at the top. Only me and my pals were jumping about whereas the rows around us remained seated. bleah.
from stevieg :
and you are going to see jielun soon again...*enviousss* I never had his autograph and I think I never will. :\
from stevieg :
you went alone to jielun concert? and..i was too far back to realise the piano was pink..thought it was white. totally regret buying the cheaper ticket. but yeah it was awesome...=)
from deaf-knee :
we had MU, PTM 1948, PTM 1957 and PTM 1963. worse, no? but then again. we had two papers only. all good I guess. :)
from stevieg :
the first thing I saw about taufik was the black eyeliner too.. but yes..he has DA VOICE...sad about oli though.
from stevieg :
my first paper starts on nov 4th too *weeps* good luck
from stevieg :
hey congrats on the good prelim grades...and all the best for ya As'...it'll be over soon.
from lebensraum :
You're the only person in school that makes sense and seem to coincide with the term logic. I always wondered what it meant to be with an opposite, then I realised the bleddy irony because we're like always together. yours truly, Melissa Insane Zhuo.
from cir- :
hmms. i was just reading thru ur econs mcq question. & even tho' d sounds like a logical answer, it isn't the best answer. maybe that's why you got it wrong. b is definitely correct, it's the characteristic of the different mkt structures. anw, some monopolies advertise to retain their mkt share, and to inform consumers of their new pdt. haha, nvm. my sch's mcq questions have 'double answers' too and some of the questions are really badly phrased. anw, glad you did well for ur prelims. really good grades you got there. =)
from unfaerietale :
hmmm im at infactuation number seven i must be old
from stevieg :
jielun immediately after the As'...what a treat. =) I think I went to see edison the day of my last A'level paper. ha.
from unfaerietale :
the adverts dont sell it the way it should be trust me its nicer then that and i seriously would rather watch alien vs predator again then live through the trauma of the house of flyin daggers again wait hold on okay now im not too sure which of the two is funnier
from unfaerietale :
i actually kind of liked the terminal okay so it was draggy could have been better but it was rather sweet touchy kinda movie it was rather racist though but aside from that i thought it was rather nice
from stevieg :
yelen...relaax!
from lebensraum :
I'mm so sorry I didn't accompany you to school today...
from stevieg :
oh..i realise...miss zann.
from stevieg :
*incredulous* how did u know my name? did i mention it somewhere?
from lebensraum :
You do understand that Kenn made the comment about dash board coffesional out of sheer sarcasm. He hates that band, or any other college/ pseudo/ crappy alternative bands that call themselves "rock". He's into some other genre of music, and should I mention it, you'd gap. So I'll save you the trouble. Tata. I love you.
from amazinfuckup :
Sarah's right you know, you SO will rule the world ^^. Anyway, I stopped by to reply to your note (heh, sorry it took so long...) and say that I really appreciated it... that it made me feel better. Thank you. <3
from softplaces :
HOly shit. I just have to say, you are an incredible writer for ANY age, and when I read how young you are, it kinda blew my mind. (And here I thought I wasn't age-ist...) I predict you'll rule the world someday. Yup. Just remember, I called it.
from crooked-nose :
You have the most gorgeous layout known to womankind.
from unfaerietale :
the cg spoilt it really and its not his best cinematography i mean it was better when he was doin cinematography but well i seriously hated the actin i mean you expected top stars like them to do better but no zhang ziyi didnt bewitch me shes sweet but not my type frankly i think the takeshi whatever his name is prettier frankly
from unfaerietale :
dear yan i love you with all my heart but when you give house of flyin daggers a seven over ten that would be abit pushin it no i mean house of flyin daggers is probably what i would consider one of the best comedies ever made from someone as revered as zhang yimou i expected something much much more from him
from visualreview :
Would you like a review of your layout? Thanks for your time! :)
from lebensraum :
If I don't do it for you, who else would I do it for? C'mon dude... you're the only one worth the while. NO ONE ELSE.
from stevieg :
jielun rocks..
from deaf-knee :
wah super singlish entry no bad lerhhhh :P
from unfaerietale :
no dear i have not watched it but at times you have to differentiate between art and entertainment but remember without culture there is no art so theres always a need to understand before you appreciate
from unfaerietale :
girl your review of mardi gras is what i would call a straight persons review know the culture first it would be alot more different after that
from lebensraum :
He's turning bi. BISEXUAL... *flicker of hope* But heck... He's mine. Bwahahahaha....
from lebensraum :
Great. Lets have a mass suicide at JJC. Let's all go to Mr koh and swear...
from stevieg :
happy belated birthday...sorry for the late greeting =) glad to see you had fun
from amazinfuckup :
Happy birthday ^^. I'm sorry, I wish I had something more witty than that to leave you. Eh. I'll think of something badass and come back later.
from lebensraum :
Glad you enjoyed yourself. I had fun too.
from deaf-knee :
happy birthday! :)
from lebensraum :
I have 9 years, 1 month 15 days to go. See you at the other end.
from lebensraum :
*Scuttles away to leave her alone* The fear of you possibly breaking down is quite overwhelming. The fear of you biting is even more scary.
from stevieg :
spidey 2 was great. =) and the weather in genting is cool of course cept I spent most of the time in KL shopping..there is really not much difference. genting is just like..for accomodation. tsk.
from lebensraum :
La la la... Not looking at your part about vernon god little... This is much UNLIKE Last Life in the Universe that slept through my fingers like air can... I have the BOOK and I'M gonna READ it. MUAHAHAHAHA *confused victory* yea. whatever. Haha. Have a happeeee youth day Miss i'm-going-to-turn-18.
from amazinfuckup :
A thesis statement is, as it has been explained to me, the point you are trying to prove with your paper wrapped up in one neat little sentance. In a typical five-page essay, it comes at the end of the introductory paragraph. Say, for example, the topic of your paper is to discuss weather your class is stupid, or incredibly stupid. With your paper, you decide to prove that your class is incredibly stupid. So you write your introductory paragraph, and then at the end of it [transitioning smoothly, of course] you put something to the effect of "This is class is incredibly stupid." or "I am going to show you how incredibly stupid this class is." Then the rest of the paper centers around proving that statement. I hope that helps a little. Good luck with your class; you are incredibly intelligent and talented even if you do not believe so.
from stevieg :
i agree..d-land may look unappetizing at its index page, too kiddish..lolz but it kicks ass at being totally customizable and OF COURSE no unwanted rubbish on your sites. cheers!
from lebensraum :
If you have a brain transplant, can I have yours while you take on Einsteins? At least now I don't have to be a road sweeper when I grow up... okok... but Im sure you value every single magnificent part of yourself. especially your beautiful mind that's been so blinking compressed and mutilated by Singapore... good going on your studies...that's something I can and will never do. Thanks you just made my life a whole lot better. Looks like Id have to repeat well, the option of St Franciss always open.
from diary-nazi :

i was trying to learn how to make animation...haha and after picking up the basics, i'm back to my trial and error ways.
from lebensraum :
HelloOOoO yelen! Itz Mel here worx. GP in JJ sux lorh... Then hor the teachers are all fucked cu*ts with nothing better to do (that's of course with the exception of a few *cough cough*... few PREVIALAGED and goooood ones.). By the way, Mrs. my-make-up-is-so-thick-Im-sure-it-takes-the-years-off's retiring in 2 years. That overdue piece of shit's still stuck in her pre-pubescent mode and fashion sense. And hey! Youre using the name TUBBY! He rules!
from stevieg :
I used to hate gp too cept it was like the slackest lesson of my three subjects. i always felt that the marker wasn't giving justice to my essay...especially those that I felt that I should deserve more >_< and yes your marker is a moron for saying that the iraq war is not related. that really makes me laugh.
from korner-sista :
i checked out the one at tampines mall, it was just a small department store and it was packed to the max, i couldn't get anything, and there were only 2 fitting rooms. had to go down to the raffles city branch one in the end and it was equally, if not EVEN MORE PACKED with people shuffling the clothes and shoving people around without even the courtesy to say, "excuse me". but that's not the point right now. hur. AND THEN. i saw the infamous queue outside the fitting room as well and gave up on trying altogether. thank my lucky stars i was wearing a MNG top that day so i just took note of my size and grabbed whatever i liked in that size. i love the skirts as well, got 1 of them and 2 other tops. i spent a grand total of $48. can you even believe it! hawhaw.
from gothchicknik :
Hey, I've made you a password for my diary Username: offence Password: joaquin Sorry they're not too original! Ciao!
from gothchicknik :
Hey, I love your template, Joaquin is SO hot! You have a cool diary as well. Jus thought I'd let you know lol. Byee.
from korner-sista :
i loved harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban as well. & i went to check out the mango sale today! it was damned packed, with much pushing and shoving but when i got to the skirts section, i realised it was all worth it. and yeah, the worst part is? i have no more money left. gee, i really don't want to miss out on the sale!
from stevieg :

from alithiel :
Hahahah. He does? Are you sure that there wasn't a sock involved somewhere? I think I shall go rummage around to see if I have some of his MTVs.
from a-little-off :
I love Jay Zhou. And he's really hot in that picture. Ta.

Tess of D'Uberville....I think :) I did it for one of my Practical Crit (Paper 7 as it was known then) classes in jc too. Are you doing the part where she gets off the carriage in the morning?
from stevieg :
the CCTV countdown thingy was on which channel? today is it? what I saw was only the sony anti-piracy concert where I caught a snippet of jay playing the piano and jolin singing by his side.
from stevieg :
I was just wondering..is that guy satoshi in the waterboys drama?
from serxon :
heh. probably not anytime soon.
from serxon :
hello.. the word 'xing' of xing fu is wrongly written (or typed). just thought i should inform you. (=

from stevieg :
49 is the dongfeng channel. :)
from fuckinugly :
Your review is up. Thanks for applying again!
from stevieg :
it was on cable channel 49. his was the first gig but I didn't manage to catch it. saw the subsequent report on another channel. every other artiste seemed to be sweating, rushing from show to show yet the pinkish jay (who said the colour is cos it's new year) can still remain composed and nonchalant..lolz.. and who don't like handsome guys? ;)
from stevieg :
jay was in pink for the countdown ...and so was his whole entourage including the van I think. It was so interesting to watch. :)
from variegate :
Happy New Year to you as well. As for the poetry, it's just what heppens when my brain goes on auto-pilot ;) It's quite fun!
from variegate :
Your new layout is nice! Yes, "enervated" was a good word to use. I hope you're feeling better soon...
from stevieg :
I love your new layout. :)

Yes, it does stand for Presbyterian High School. You're pretty smart to figure that out so quickly. Nah, it's only my writing. If you looked at me you would never get anything out.
from dottyreviews :
Hi - just to let you know your review has been finished.
from stevieg :
I was calling it internal affairs too...when it first came out haha but basically cos I didn't know wu jian dao means hell or something like that.
from jomelchaton :
howabout: things will be better after 20 cigarettes, a bottle of wine and some sleep :) wait a minute, that's just me heh heh do feel better. There're too many ungood things in this world.
from stevieg :
someone would ask me..what's the last movie you watched before the exams? "...hmm..infernal 2" And what's the most recent one you watched after? "uhh..infernal 3" That's how long I haven't watched a single movie :\\ Miss those jc days..
from rosytears :
HI thanks for the review I'm from PHS, not a top ten school. Not sure where it stands, haha.
from stevieg :
it must feel good to be back at home again. :)
from tokcocktok :
It's unfortunate that you had such a poor time at camp. Anyways, Happy Holidays :)
from unchbunch :
Here's an alternate perspective: I got 700 verbal and 680 math on the SATs back in 1988. It's almost 2 decades after the fact and I'm still not making anywhere near 1 million dollars a year. Moreover, I don't see that happening anytime soon, if you get my drift. Do the best you can, but don't worry about it; high scores on the SAT don't necessarily translate into greater opportunities. ...Or maybe they do, and I've simply been unambitious all these years. Whichever. Do your best.

Hmm... so soon when they find the raped and mangled body of a dead girl, the asshole who did it can come forward and say "she wanted me to do it"? Man. I hope they lock the cannibal away just for being gross and disturbing.

Send you some of my strange twisted good luck. The most important thing in life is to know what you're waking up for....and holiday homework is meant to be done a week after the holiday ends :) I have six papers on six consecutive days next week so good luck to us both :))
from korner-sista :
Nope, I'll be taking the January paper. You'll be taking the Dec 6th paper... next week right? Break a leg! :)
from korner-sista :
verbal section = the comprehension part? because if it is, then yes, i agree fully with you. that section pisses me off a great deal!
from unfaerietale :

from pk-woodstock :
hee i noe.. i sort of copied n paste the thingy frm another website n din realise the mistake..
from jomelchaton :
Also, I use tampons because strangely, I seem to be allergic to anitary napkins. They make me rash badly...not like I particularly enjoy sticking strange things into myself :) STUDY FOR YOUR SATS!! Do so well that you get invited to join mensa (actually happened to one of my faculty mates back in jc days).

from urban-faerie :
I've just unlocked it now anyway.
from jomelchaton :
thanks for liking me enough to add me to your faves. Over last night, I've developed a full proof plan of murdering someone and sort of getting away with it. GET PREGNANT. then you get life imprisonment instead and life sentences get reviewed at the 20 yr mark and every year after. In view of the fact that you had a kid, they'll probably release you after 20 yrs and you get on with life from there...not like you needed to know that, but I just felt like telling someone :)
from saddlereview :

from aumbry :
Hey, it's me. I moved. But just to let you know, I adore your review site:)
from jomelchaton :
tip to maths c exam I didn't want to leave in your guestbook. I took my As in 1998. I had absolutely shitty grades too. The As were the first time I passed all four of my subjects together!! Anyway, from the September hols that year till I took my paper, I did every maths paper in the 10 yr series from 1985 onwards TWICE. I started each day doing a maths paper. I got an A :)
from variegate :
Damn, girl, you wrote a lot whilst I was away from this site! I've been trying to catch up with your entire journal; several days I have been at this task, and STILL not finished. But anyway, I just wanted to let you know, in case you check your site stats and notice lots of large numbers of pages being clicked, and thinking, "Uh, who are you, and why are you so obsessed with my journal?" *grin*
from gumphood :

I haven't seen the third installment of the Matrix yet, and I'm not sure if I want to. If I do, I'm certainly not going to pay much. Heh. I keep hearing such conflicting reviews. You're right about Keanu, though. Did you know he was in the movie adaptation of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing? My professor said it was an abomination that he's even listed in the cast, but at least he plays a bumbling moron, which is about the extent of his capabilities!
from korner-sista :
grin. cool it! i watched the clip that lasted roughly about 15 minutes so i guess it was the short one. i'll try digging for it in my computer and if i can find it, i'll send it to you : )
from deaf-knee :
thanks for the..info? :)
from unfaerietale :
drugs teens now thats a topic right there
from korner-sista :
15! i watched it a few months ago when my friend sent me the video clip. very real and good :) it is a shame singapore decided to give it an R(a) rating, depriving many teenagers the chance of viewing it.

from justcritique :
Just Critique is under new ownership, and I noticed that you requested a review. If you would still like one, please link to us and leave me a note. Thanks!
from slutreviews :
Yeah well, I'm not completely heartless. The 23 just didn't look right to me and you made one hell of an argument. You earned that extra five.
from slutreviews :
The scoring page clearly states that I review the person as well as the content. But your mark down came from the content, not from you. I'd throughly enjoy reading your opinions on things other than school... that's the point I tried to stress. The snob comment - maybe unfair, but you take it well and that's appreciated. In all honesty, I fucked up your score. Check back for the new one.

from stevieg :
I totally understand how you feel..in the midst of all my papers last semester, I was churning out pages of incoherent shit in my written diary...all the bottled up stress, frustration, anger...do you feel much better after typing them out? I did..sorta got it out of the system. and the whole vicious cycle will soon resume itself again, I have some twenty days before my first paper and the silly school is still making us do assignments and major presentations. sad life isn't it? well chill out girl, at least your exams are gonna be over soon. sort out your stuff with the new kid after the exams, don't let it bug you (too much) for now. take care.

Don't worry about your notes taking alot of space. I welcome them all! My Mandarin is not what you would call in any way, shape or form good. I can barely say Ni Hao. Ooh, I love to learn a different language and in my case, it's basically the language in my neighborhood. That and vietnamese!
from brokenxbones :
"Current obsession: Ranma 1/2, the anime." haha..i went through an obsession with Ranma 1/2 a while ago. my brother has the comic books numbers 1-11. i spent one night reading all of them. i was up untill like 4am. it was...pretty lame of me to stay up that late reading anime, actually. but that's okay. it was fun.
from ddrboy :
Ranma 1/2!!!!
from ddrboy :
Yeah, I took mandarin. Everyone made fun of me, since I'm hispanic and the ONLY one in the class who didn't know it already. I was in there a while until I miss one day, and my teacher was....YOU MISSED TOO MUCH. So, since then, I have asked friends and such to help me. I have many books and tapes on mandarin. I love it.
from brokenxbones :
nope, i don't mind at all.
from dust-settle :
i did a museum essay once, harder than you think. dont forget about holden's recognition of his adulthood (he realizes he is grown up even though everything will stay the same in the museum. the objects in the museum evoke memories but also hold new meaning for him because he is older and more mature )while in the museum as well as his rememberance of his past.

You are seriously right my dear. I do need to get a life...but where can I buy one of those? in supermarts? I dont think so. The holidays is taking its toll on me. I don't go out, I don't go anywhere. I just stay at home, connected to the net, and now, resorting to talking to myself on messenger for Godsake! Arrrrggggh!!, Where on earth are my regular chatters?? But anyway, it does good to know that Im not the only one that talks to myself online (although, I do do it offline as well). This is good you know, us...interacting again. Anyway, have a great week ahead....I'm off to study for my driving license...yes I know, I'm 21 and I still havent got one yet..sheesh. Take care then
from stevieg :
hope real trashes manure flat and square!

"my writing seems to be seriously deteriorating as I find it hard to string pretty sentences together. And the words aren't coming as freely and quickly as they used to" i get that thought totally. i have no idea how to get my flow back... blah :/
from stevieg :
I sure hope MY school postpones the bloody exams by 2 weeks..that'll really help alot but till now this whole thing's still pretty un-confirmed. ARGHHHHHhh.....oh and as for Mr Nerd..do maintain the friendship (of course), get to know him better...become his buddy (heh) and well who knows? :)
from korner-sista :
school's going to be closed for another one week!? oh gawd. that's total shite. the whole time i was looking forward to school (as mundane school life might be, i figured it's better than staying at home doing nuts.) ahh well.

i'm so glad someone's in the same plight as me (the SAP school to neighbourhood thing.) i didn't want to mention how i felt to my friends in srjc because they'd probably say i'm a snob who thinks too highly of herself yadayada. :/ blah. anw. i love spicy food too. :D
from alithiel :
Yes. They ought to be shot. Oh wait. I'm one of those bossy people too.^^ It is stupid that having been orientated, you need to have another orientation at all just because, because. (I forgot the last part of what I wanted to write.)

Reading your entry reminds me of my ex-crush back in jc..was a second year too and yeah i fully understand the joy/happiness of him finally knowing your existence, communicating and knowing his number, stuff like that. :) Good luck.
from cir- :
oh yes, if you find the bk, pls give it to my cousin by this sat...or tomorrow. yea, cos I'm meeting my cousin tmr and she can pass it to me. sorry, this is urgent, my mom really needs the bk. thanks.
from cir- :
sorry, you know i lent someone my chinese 4B textbk, i'm not sure if it's you so yeah, if the bk's with you, would you kindly return it to me? My mom needs it. The idea is to pass it to my cousin, Beverly who stays below you (or is it above?) & if it isn't with you...can you recall who i lent it too? yea, i am looking for the chinese 4B vocab handbk also. so umm, yea i am done here. Thanks.
from korner-sista :
econs is boring, glad someone shares the same thought as me. my friends who crashed the econs lecture with me thought it to be relatively interesting and no one i know seemed to think it was boring. grin.
from cir- :
glad you like ur new lifestyle.
from stevieg :
Yup took econs and I was always hovering between a C and D (actually most of the time D and got E once, horrors)...econs is a funny subject, sometimes you think you prepared alot for it, it doesn't mean one will necessarily score well. It's more of the focus and application and well to offer some consolation, as apparent I never did well in my two years for econs as compared to other subjs but picked up for the prelims and I got a dist in the end for that crappy subject. So don't worry too much :) my tip is practise the tys mcqs. :) my data rep always sucks so uh....yah heh. and yah did the layout myself cept for the java clock that I learnt from somewhere. enjoy your jay chou concert later!
from stevieg :
my school used to have that stupid rule 'bout leaving after 12:50 but I don't think anybody really cares..haha despite having a fierce civics tutor, I was guilty of leaving at ten plus in the morning a couple of times. ;)
from shillings :
of course you can =D
from shiloh26 :
I read your disclaimer, and out of curiosity, which U.S. prez do you not like? The current one or Clinton?
from stevieg :
happy new year! :)
from shillings :
i didn't apply for 3 mths :) going to find a job, or something. you?
from afrai :
Tell me this is just a passing mood! I like reading your diary! Don't stop!
from ddrboy :
DON'T YOU DARE STOP. WHEN YOU GET BORED, JUST WRITE ABOUT YOURSELF, NOT ABOUT WHAT YOU DID OR WANT. JUST WRITE ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR DREAMS. THAT IS ALL. HUGS!!!!!!!!!!
from afrai :
Bishounen, I believe. Means "pretty boy" or something. yay for your pretty picture of Legolas Greenleaf!
from stevieg :
it felt that way to me too when i was posted to my 2nd choice jc during the pae (after having been in a sap school and all the blah blah) but anyway just enjoy your first three months and I'm sure the O'levels will be better. :) and btw i stayed on in the school (sajc) and did well, might not have been so if i went on to a top 5 but oh well that's just me. too much stress deters me sometimes. Merry Christmas to you!
from deaf-knee :
I did have fun. thanks :)
from stevieg :
I don't have a proper archive page cos it's just a blog, not a journal so I'm not that particular.
from itchymicchi :
Er, usually I take a non-intervention stand, which is very yellow of me, but I hope you're feeling better, or that you WILL feel better. Chin up, gel, and all that. *muah*
from cir- :
hey...don't be sad ok. I'll visit you soon. As in I shall pay you a visit at your house or something. =) Don't be sad...you can always come back to ur les-lover. Will contact you about plans soon. It'll probably be after this week. & I hope we can meet up this sun at Orchard or something. We can go kai-kai (walk walk) ok. Contact me. Sms me or something alright.
from cir- :
guess what yel...I finally figured out how to use the stupid USB port thing to record songs into my md. Hahaha. & I still don't know what pigs you're talking about. Lena Park's some Korean singer, I don't really know who she is exactly but I am bored so I just take part in all the contests. Lol. I'm going with Limei, 'cos I thinh she likes Park. =) Pls d/l msn msger k.
from ddrboy :
Love the new look. I also can't wait to see the Two Towers. Hugs Yelen! I wanna take that little button and put it on my diary. Hugs! But maybe tomorrow! Tee hee! >_<
from shillings :
oh i think these "unprofessional" fouls warrant red cards... it's in the book, or something. remember beckham in '98?
from cir- :
huh. what pigs? are you talking about my page? it's really shit. i don't know how to fix everything. how come you can make ur page so nice. genuis ar you. you know i won 2 tickets for the lena park concert on sun?! can't believe it... hahaha.
from cir- :

from kbaa :
sweet
from korner-sista :
this layout is nice. keep it. : D
from asterlaine :
Akagi is a hulk, gorilla, ape.. he's just scary. LOL. And i don't see why Sakuragi likes that girl, she's so blah. Can't believe we're talking about anime guys. Hey i changed my comment for your diary :) and i meant it in a good way.
from afrai :
I've never read 'A Clockwork Orange.' Hmm. Must try that and see if I get booted out on the first page too. *g*
from asterlaine :
Yeah i think Mitsui is hot. Which is lame, because he doesn't even exsist. Hell, anime characters are always good-looking. No, real life Japs aren't always that fab. Not my mates anyhow ;)
from perceptionss :
Thanks for calling me a cool dude:) That made me smile. Booby
from afrai :
'Lord of the Flies' is actually pretty easy to read. Short, too. And so goddamn creepy. You should totally read it! :-)
from shillings :
i wrote formal!! ahh!! I think it's informal... but how can stupid cambridge mark us down like that? "friendly" doesn't necessarily mean informal, but they didn't say it was formal either. stupid cambridge. and those stupid essay questions! I did the one about the mother... bleh. what 'bout you?
from shillings :
Yes, Trail of the Dead is VERY good. I rate their album 10/10 :P I got their album Source Tags and Codes at Borders (had a hard time looking for it though, try searching under A, because their full name is ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of The Dead), but I think you could get it at HMV/Tower Records - you know, those ridiculously huge music stores =)
from asterlaine :
I don't know if it's still Top 10 now, it's been 4 years.. LOL! Don't forget to write when the O Levels are over :)
from asterlaine :
Some rubbish girls school, i've got a feeling you're from one too, aren't you? I had to wear a blue pinafore.. LOL.. thinking of it gives me the shivers.
from shillings :
yeah green eyes, in my place, and the scientist are my favourites (nobody said it was eeeassayy.. it's such a shame for us to part..) ahh don't you love chris martin :D
from asterlaine :
Hey all the best for the O Levels, it's not all that hard, you'd do fine. School just f*cks you up a little by giving you bad grades. At least *my* school does. F*cking girls school.
from shillings :
you bought coldplay's latest? how is it? i burned it (i'm a cheapskate nut), and i think i prefer parachutes :(
from shillings :
yes he was the guy that killed john lennon, and he was HUGELY influenced by that book. so i've always been wanting to read it, but i'm abit afraid. is it scary, or anything? hmm yea it's a humans scholarship.. why should they care about our other marks? bah.
from shillings :
yeah we're doing lotf for Lit! I seem to be about the only one in school who likes that book, alot of people think I'm crazy. We did mockingbird in Sec2.. can't really remember, they just told us to buy the book and read it. Catcher in the rye is an O'Level Lit book? I'd like to read it someday, it seems really interesting. I wonder what Mark David Chapman saw in that book..
from shillings :
yeah they asked us to burn the filter paper too - P and Q. There was some leftover ash from the previous person haha so I just observed the leftover (it was wrong anyway, ahh). We have to get 6 or 7 pts?! But it's a freaking Humanities scholarship! Shouldn't they just let us in based on our Humans scores? Sob.
from shillings :
chemistry - dead. they didn't ask for titration at all. I hate QA - all the test tubes and stuff, I kept knocking them down and spilling the contents! But physics was quite simple haha, they connected the circuit for us, all we had to do was take the reading! Is that dumb or what? Hmm you take bio-chem right? How was chem.?
from shillings :
can i steal that survey? =D
from shillings :
Your guestbook is being mean to me, so I'm here haha. You went to the vjc open house..? I heard it was hella fun. Sigh I wanna get to HC/RJ/VJ too but I'll hafta study like shite. Oh yeah, d'you know anything about some Humanities scholarship?
from asterlaine :
That's life for you, that's what the government wants, that's what we're moulded to become - graduated, get a job, get married, buy a car, have kids. That's it. Just like everyone else, just bloody empty shells, robots, conformed to fit with what society expects from us. Life. It's a load of crap, but we'd still go ahead with it because honestly, we don't have a choice do we? "Fly to some exotic island, write a novel", sounds like a plan, but i bet you're thinking, that unless your novel becomes a bestseller, what will become of you? With an O level cert, what shit job can you get? You know what? We're trapped. We're just going to be like everyone else. Harsh reality of life. Or maybe it's just me.
from asterlaine :
Hey, love your diary. It's fab reading a diary from SG that actually HAS a proper sentence, not the internet rubbish shit like "i am in LURVE". You get the drift. Keep writing, good luck with school, it stinks major, but it's life :)
from urban-faerie :
Just to say I like the new layout.
from shillings :
pocketing laboratory stuff! tsk tsk. I wish I'd done that too, but I was too anxious during my practical to think of anything else =P
from shillings :
it sucks when people from your school know about your journal. they don't, do they?
from alithiel :
Very sad poem. Artistically beautiful of course. But the emotion was what caught my attention and prompted me to drop a note. Take care.
from shillings :
hey your guestbook is down or something but I'll just leave you a note cos I want Liverpool to win the CL for the next 10 years :P Radiohead rocks the banana boat!
from deaf-knee :
not out. mock coming _soon_.
from deaf-knee :
oh look. :) so anyway I emailed them already but they didn't reply. lazy to delete too. mock coming out. countdown: 5 days.
from alaylam :
lol really??? I totally don't remember that... hehe, don't I feel silly now.
from alaylam :
Goodness gracious, I just noticed that you've listed me as a favourite. Thank you!! How long has that been there without me noticing?? :)
from urban-faerie :
I love this poem too, all your creative writing stuff that I've seen has been really good! So anyway yeah, good stuff :)
from galnextlot :
good luck hope you'll have fun fretting over exams results :) I know I will.
from scherzquin :
good luck.
from sk8erreview :
YOU HAVE BEEN REVIEWED! PLEASE CHECK IT OUT!
from galnextlot :
yeah I'm leaving my diary. I'll give you the new one once I'm done with the layout and all though. :) You'll have more of me, don't worry. *laughs*
from agentfatman :
"suppose" is such a small word. They are very good.
from agentfatman :
I don't see how you can say your poems are not good.
from perceptionss :
Yes, to answer your question. I do take the time to enventually read all the answers to my surveys but I didn't think that many people would take them. You find out a lot about peole. Smile:) Love, Booby
from agentfatman :
I would still like a link to your poems, I'm not here for the template.
from prink :
i found you to be very not oridnary, so i'm letting you join the ring <3 http://members.diaryland.com/edit/rings.phtml?ring=notordinary you're a member now!
from urban-faerie :
I like the story a lot! I don't know about the would/will thing really, either'd make sense I think.
from perceptionss :
Thanks for taking my survey and I enjoyed your answers, especially the "technically a virgin" one. You sound more fun than a barrell of monkeys but in a good way:) Love, Booby
from lorantio :
Thanks for the support. It's because of people like that that gives everyone else in the human race a bad name!!!
from hotluvin :
hey, I just got a Netstat counter, and I'm wondering is there any way to logg out, or do we always stay logged in? Cuz I don't want ppl that come to my site to get in my account..haha, well if you can help, plz do :) Thanks!
from jenreviews :
your review is done!!
from galnextlot :
could try coming over and taking stpm. then again, you'll need a bm cert. wait I think they don't accept non-malaysian-educated people. my friend tried. she's now still stuck in one of the JCs in Sg. tough.
from undesirable :
You're very welcome for the review...You were actually the first diary I've reviewed. =) So anyway, I hated to take points from you for the layout glitch...but I'd be happy to switch it around for you if you'd like. Only offering to switch it since you said you couldn't, I'm not nagging if you like it as it stands. Reviews aside, I like your diary.
from diamondviews :
i finished your review. :) it's posted at http://diamondviews.diaryland.com/offence.html
from unique-views :
http://unique-views.diaryland.com/offence.html your review is up
from urban-faerie :
Cheers about me and Richard, he really is gorgeous isn't he? Ah he's lovely :) You ever going to put up a picture of you and Gen? I bet you're a sweet couple too.
from spoof-review :
hey there- your review is up. good job.
from urban-faerie :
I loved the poem! I don't know what else to say I just really liked it a lot. Kind of a sad idea, but good all the same.
from devilish- :
u know...i'm not even into football...
from devilish- :
lol, ok so spain don't suck, but england did alot better than them this year, you gotta admit :) spain never could've beaten brazil, but england had a chance..they just lost it, thanks for your support, it's appriciated
from galnextlot :
Yeah. Uhm I don't want to sound know-it-all or anything but I kinda thought that ponteng is BM too. And isn't dao handsome or something? Then again I wouldn't know. Maybe Singlish is actually different from Manglish. You should come over and learn some Manglish. Shock the witts out of you about how many words we make up.
from scherzquin :
okay. 'kenna' is kena. kena is in BM. yeah thats it. BM is malaysian.
from pipey :
oh yeah...gotta say I love your freakin layout! I forgot to add that in g-book but here is good. later
from ireviewyou :
Your review is up, sorry I took ages with it, but here it is now. http://ireviewyou.diaryland.com/offence.html
from mazi :
Dead Poet's Socioty is indeed an excellent movie
from urban-faerie :
Your entry about Gen today (june 19th) made me smile because I know exactly what you mean. :)
from hermutedaria :
To be honest, I've only read a handful of entries, but I've bookmarked your diary. I like your style of writing. I laughed a lot. Thanks. ^_^
from mulletreview :
Your review is complete so check it out.
from mulletreview :
Your review is complete so check it out.
from mulletreview :
You requested a review at Mullet Review quite awhile ago and yes, I am just getting to it, I'm aware that I am lazy. But if you still want that review let me know and please put up a link back to the site. thanks
from urban-faerie :
I just found out by mistake what your name was, I'd been wondering what it was for ages actually! :p Anyway I just wanted to say I really like your name. This is a bit of a lame note, but yeah, s'nice.
from jessieescola :
okay, you are nice, but the goo goo dolls are not what i would call old. i mean, they haven't been around since the mid-80s or anthing. or maybe i'm just dumb.
from march-hare :
great new layout! and no i never heard from the girl who met joaquin. c'est la vie!
from urban-faerie :
Love the new layout! Who's the bloke in it though? (you have to excuse me, I know I'm ignorant :p) Anyway it's cool. By the way I did like you said and made a diary for all my poems/stories etc http://kissmeblind.diaryland.com even though there isn't much in it yet, just stuff that was already in my other diary @ various places. Layout needs fixing too cos I started testing my other one in there. But anyway, that's it.
from urban-faerie :
I was going to do that. I might make a whole new diary to put stuff like that in so I don't have to have one entry that I have to keep editing to put stuff in 'cos that would be a bit annoying. I might do that today actually, since I have nothing better to do, except school work...
from urban-faerie :
In answer to your question, no I'm not. And ta about the poem. :)
from vagueanomaly :
Lolita is a friggin' EXCELLENT book.
from urban-faerie :
Aye, ask away...
from vagueanomaly :
Intelligence is such a turn-on for me. Rawr.
from vagueanomaly :
Why do we set ourselves up for hurt? Because we're purely masochists at heart.
from vagueanomaly :
Thank you, I appreciate it. *hugs you back*
from march-hare :
check out my last guestbook entry. we should find this girl who met him and pump her for information as to where we could find him.
from vagueanomaly :
Oh, wonderful: I wrote a novel-length email to you, and I clicked send. Then my email account died. Now I cannot get back in. I really hope that it saved it in the 'sent' folder, which it's supposed to do automatically. Anyway, by the time you read this, I may have rewritten it, or resent the original, so check anyway. Sorry for taking up more space. Bye!
from vagueanomaly :
I started to write a comment here, but it's so long that I decided to write you an email with it. So check your yahoo account for an email from me. Hope this finds you in better spirits. *hugs*
from vagueanomaly :
Okay, here is my two cents: I think, in a way, that the separation you are experiencing could be a good thing. It allows you distance (both physical and mental) from the situation at hand, and you can breathe. You have said that you do not want to jump into bed with this boy, which I commend you for, for the practicality and level-headedness of it all. Besides, I also see it as a "test" for Gen. If he can't see you for awhile, but still wants you, then you know on what sort of plane your relationship is. Thank you for your wishes of good luck today; I shall need them, I think. Although, I have a good feeling about today. May it be true....Okay, I'll stop cluttering up your page now =)
from vagueanomaly :
Mmm, I saw Spiderman yesterday (Saturday). And so, the obsession with Tobey Maguire begins anew...=)
from vagueanomaly :
Wow. Your phone in your dream ringing the "Pink Panther" theme. Guess what I bought in my dream last night? A PINK PANTHER keychain! The hell?
from torpidity :
Ugh, fitness test. Reading those two words just sent a shudder of revulsion down my spine. Icky physical education. I'm so glad it's not a requirement at college....
from torpidity :
I go through the same thoughts you do. What if The Boy is nothing he appeared to be when I first started thinking about pursuing him? He seems fucking fabulous, but he may be an asshole. We may never talk about the things I enjoy in life, because he doesn't feel the same way about them. This is not to denigrate you by any means. I just mean to say, It is human nature to put others on a pedestal, therefore when the reality sets in, sometimes we will feel a sudden change in stasis.
from torpidity :
The hormones are having a conversation, I see. Happens to all of us, dear. Just don't do anything you will regret. =)
from commented :
Hi, sorry for the delay in getting your review done, both our reviewers have been having a few personal problems at the moment. But it's FINALLY up: http://commented.diaryland.com/offence.html - congratulations on an excellent score! Ellie x
from torpidity :
I don't think you could ever become boring. Besides, this is a new thing, and it's great, and you like it, therefore you want to talk about it all the time. That's terrific! Roll with it! If you want to write about Gen all the time, do it. I'll still read, and hope that my "thing" with The Boy works itself out as super as your situation is. =)
from unchbunch :
Actually, yes, I have said "Thank you" after being kissed. In my defense, however, I would like to remind the jury that I was GRATEFUL. Something about human contact, I suppose. But... Yeah, it's freaky when people use the "L" word, isn't it? I hope things are well with you.
from blacwynter :
Uniform problem : Take a change of clothing to school! And yes, it was 'being kissed' ; )
from torpidity :
AWWWWWWWW! (Okay, I'll stop. heehee). So happy for you! =)
from blacwynter :
Prudence be damned, revel in it! Revel, I say! Ahh, reading your diary is a love story, do you realise that? A freaking love story! I smile watching it in my minds eye. He sounds just as amazing as you imagined him to be. You lucky girl, just stay calm and for deity's sake don't hurry it! You've waited long enough, it won't hurt to take it slow. Oh typing this make me feel all benevolent and fuzzy. Best wishes. x x x
from unchbunch :
If you and Gen were alone in the restaurant, then privacy would "ensue" as a result of that. In addition, if the doors to the restaurant were locked, your privacy would be "ensured". I hope you're feeling physically better. Prudence.
from torpidity :
You know I just read your latest entry (about you not being able to quit smiling) and I'm thinking, I missed something.....So I had to go back a few entries. Congrats and all that stuff. You have balls girl, indeed. I mean that as the highest of compliments =)
from urban-faerie :
Wow that's great about Gen. You sound SO chuffed about it so I hope it all goes really well for you :)
from unchbunch :
I deleted that entry of which you spoke. I thank you for your words, and I wish you well.
from icyf1am3 :
Ya finally did it, & it turned out well! Congratulation, brave one. May the road ahead be a brightly lit & smooth one. =)
from galnextlot :
hey. congrats. good for you. have fun with gen. :)
from lacorneille :
Welcome to the dlandgoddess ring!
from blacwynter :
Ugh. About the letter etc. Somebody threw out the S.C article. I found another, short one and I'll send it all your way when I've avoided the debt collectors. (I'm serious.) Thanks for your patience, it WILL come to you, I promise.
from torpidity :
Winter melon tea, eh? Sounds really good! I've been partial to green tea lately.
from blacwynter :
I totally LOVE that song, I'm sure I've mentioned it before: This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine, this little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine, this little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine, Let it shine, let it shine on meeeeee.... All down the road, I'm gonna let it shine, all down the *Ahem* You get the idea.
from demon-angel :
hey i was wondering.....can you show me how to make a test page just like yours but with my layout....i can't seem to figure it out. my email is [email protected]
from torpidity :
Can totally identify with this entry. My parents are the same way. It's sickening to me. I have a friend who's older than me, and she's black. She's also handicapped, which my parents also despise for some reason, like she chose to be the way she is. "She's too old for you," they say. I'm not dating her, we're friends, so I don't see what the problem is. She's a great person, and I always have a good time with her. My parents are the ones who are blind. Ah, well, I won't get on a rant in your notes section =)
from torpidity :
Sending a hug your way....
from torpidity :
Strange how such a simple little test can tell one much about oneself. Mine fit me to a T as well.
from torpidity :
Glad to see I'm not the only one around here with strange dreams. Thanks for the note on my other diary, I appreciate it. =)
from unchbunch :
I did want to add that I thought that link you put in, the one with the "what's wrong with this picture (it's not the curtains)" was quite cool, and I enjoyed your decision to share. Now, I can expect something like that from every web page I visit... Hope things are well with you.
from vagueanomaly :
Hello, still Nicole, just a future diary. I still am using torpidity for now, but will eventually be moving EVERYTHING to this name. So, with that said, do you have any pictures? You mention the picture thing occasionally, and it makes me curious as to what you look like =)
from blacwynter :
I was just leaving a note to beg you to write about the things you only mention in passing in your diary. You can't just hint at something and then not mention it again! The curiosity kills me! What was your dream? P.S. Thanks for the profile description, it made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
from blacwynter :
Expect a letter as of tomorrow. Thanks for the notes. I tried your suggestion but all I got for an entry was this far Why I 'Rock'? Offence suggested I write this. I'll try: Number One : : Not being a drug fucked slut, I can easily get on my moral high horse and feel superior at social gatherings. Number Two : : I can't think of anything. That last thing isn't exactly pride worthy. Would that have been on paper it would now be in the bin. Instead it's banished to the void of cyber space.
from blacwynter :

from unchbunch :
Thanks for the words you left in my guestbook, that was quite kind of you. Actually, I am so out of the loop I wasn't even aware the "Academy Awards" were on last night. That's how little I care. And the fact that those wealthy, foolish, completely-out-of-touch-with-what-makes-an-entertaining-movie "judges" decided to give one movie more votes than a different movie somehow registers even lower on my radar, if such a thing were possible. Who cares? They can't take away the experience you had watching the film, and I think that's most important. I hope you're feeling better & that things are well with you.
from coolassaward :
Hi from Cool Chicks! Want to nominated someone for a Cool Chick Award? Come see what we are about.
from blacwynter :
I got your letter today and will be writing back very shortly. As for the waiter, what a great idea about getting a dish washing job! I don't think you should be too rash with this. You only know that he looks good, you have yet to discover if he is A) Just as fabulous in the personality department B) Definately Heterosexual and C) Under 40. (Kidding) But seriously, how old is this man? I he's a fair bit older he might not 'take' to the idea so much or might already be engaged, attached, cloned what EVER. Confidence is good but don't set yourself up for a fall, I wouldn't like to see that happen to you.
from unchbunch :
Have you thought about getting a job washing dishes or something at that restaurant? You could interact with the boy first before showing your hand (to use a card game reference). I ended up writing about a page or so about this subject & your situation, but I guess what it comes down to is choosing well and protecting yourself, and I hope you do & that things go well.
from shawntasy :
YOU ROCK! Just thought I'd remind you.
from tk-reviews :

from phoenixchild :
No! I'm NOT on the Yahoo list! FIND THE URL AND GIVE IT TO ME, DAMMIT! I WANT to be on the list! (sorry, I'm in sorry whining stage)
from phoenixchild :
Man alive, was I sad to not be Kate Winslet in that movie. But that movie made me really frustrated. Was I the only one yelling "DAMN IT, ABBE! SCREW GOD!"? I think we all want to marry Joaquin... it just doesn't look like any of us are going to be lucky enough. Wait! Maybe if we all form some sort of Joaquin cult, we can track him down and FORCE him to marry ALL of us like they do in Afghanistan with their eight thousand wives.

I concur with unchbunch. The attraction factor is there, but what of his personality? These things are what you must ask yourself. And the song I think you quoted from is "Blow-out." :)
from unchbunch :
Hey, how's it going? I don't know if it's the site or not, but the "Guestbook" page didn't load. Okay, so, composing a letter to the waiter? I've heard it said that the best way to be introduced to people is by a mutual friend. One distinct benefit of this method is that both parties have someone to whom to complain if things go bad. Also, is "the waiter" your age, or does he out-age you by a large amount? This is quite important. If you knew someone who "The Waiter" knew, you might get a better reading on his character, what he's like as a person. This, too, is quite important. Because really, what else do you know about him other than that he looks like that elf guy in that movie? There is a possibility he might very well suck as a person, which could lead to unfortunate consequences. Sometimes it's like a chess game; every move you make is irrevocable, and you will have to answer for it later. Sometimes, however, it's like "Quake" or sometimes it's like "Dance Dance Revolution." It's also kinda like "Dig Dug", but now I'm just being silly. I hope things are well and that things go well.

You should submit some info from your site meter to oddgoogle.diaryland etc, just look at what somebody was searching when they found your site... Strange people. Very strange. Hope the eye feels better.

hey, im really sorry, my mate left that note! cya! luv shonie xx
from nmj :
I know I've just 'noted' you earlier, but then you updated..hence me 'noting' again. Anyway, i'm glad that you seem to have made a turn to a more optimistic side in todays(10/03) entry. Its good to feel good about oneself isn't it? That 25 listed feel-good things should be an energy booster. Oh and good luck in ur exams. P.S>>>>thanks for the note.
from nmj :
Why do you write so? *looks up//hey you're taller than I am by 1 cm// in awe*. I'm blaming you for getting me hooked to your diary. All the luck on that guy....hmmm, maybe I ought to find someone to pour my infatuation on.
from r-e-v-i-e-w :
Your r-e-v-i-e-w is ready.........
from blacwynter :
Don't panic, I wouldn't seriously rent 'Serendipity'...though... *sigh* I just remembered he's also in 'America's Sweethearts'. I read your review from that place, I forget where. Oh yeah - pretty on the inside? It struck me that hey, you ARE remarkably skilled at English and I just took it for granted thus far. When it's considered you didn't start to learn it until age 7 did you say? It's true, your grasp is certainly more secure than a lot of people who claim it as their 'first' language. Wow. I couldn't learn another language and be that proficient. Mind you, I'm still stuggling with this one - spelling and grammar being my only obstacles to perfection! (Just minor ones...ha ha) The more I think about it, the more brilliant it seems you are. Now I'm all awe struck. Not only can you write coherently, you write poetically! That's the acid test of language and you pass with flying colours, believe me. Keep on keeping on... ~Me.
from shawntasy :
It's okay to fuck up, it's almost a mandatory part of life. I'm 25 years old (eek! did I just admit that? hehe) and I STILL fuck up on occassion. The key is not to be your own worst enemy, but your own cheering section. If you get a bad grade, don't beat yourself up, just realize that you did you best. And even if you didn't do your best, there's always next time. Try each day to think of all the positive things about yourself. Physical and not so physical. Like if you like your eyes, you could be all like, "My eyes so rock!", or like, "Hey I look hot in this _______, (i.e. sweater, shirt, cape, etc..)." It's not being conceited, it's being honest. You give of yourself, you see something wrong and you try your best to retify the situation. ADULTS walked by both of those homeless people, ADULTS, that more than likely had more money than you did. Yet, YOU chose to help. Both of those people, know now that someone out there still cares. Do you know how BEAUTIFUL that is? My God girl, you so ROCK!! :o)
from potireviews :
You have been reviewed at Pretty on the Inside! Your not only Pretty on the inside, YOUR BEAUTIFUL! It was a joy to review you. Any comments or questions can be directed to the Pretty's notes section. We also have a diaryring if your interested. =) Thanks a bunch for letting us review you! Peace, Joy and Blessings

from nmj :
hi. I'm aimlessly wondering from diary to diary. I come here everyday and yet I cant seem to get enough. Sometimes, its the person living nearest to you that magnatise you the most. Don't be too down with the marks. I've seen worse (although I don't know how that remark is going to make anyone feel better) Anyhow, it isn't the end of the world..yet =) At least youve got someone to get hopelessly infatuated over...unlike moi. Been a long time since I had one of those crazy feeling. Keep typing.

Your review from Cool Reviews is posted. Thanks for the opportunity to review you.
from unchbunch :
Anyone can say mean things... Very few people, however, can say smart and constructive things. Like Mark Twain. He said "Critics are the kind of people who go on the battlefield after the fighting is over and shoot the wounded." Mark Twain is smart and constructive. And funny. Better to be like Mark Twain, methinks.
from ghostfox :
I agree about review sites that give you two lines on the content. It's a diary, the content is the most important thing. I think as long as the layout looks and works OK, why should you have to care about it? I don't mention my name much at all either.
from luckyreviews :
done.
from agrainofsand :
Hey, I'm sorry you felt that way with my entry on "the Singaporean identity". Didn't mean to throw cold water on anyone or anything... Thing is, I do not represent what all other Singaporeans think. I have lots of other friends who know what they are interested in studying, and who pursue their interests anyway. This friend of mine is reading sociology in NUS right now. She's going to dedicate her life to doing social work it seems. Point is, not all Singaporeans are materialistic like me. :P

Your review is up, and I swear I wish I'd had known your gbook wasn't up I hate notes! Go check it out.
from ghostfox :
Hello, leaving you a note because I can't seem to access your gbook at the moment. I agree with you that bands shouldn't change their style to sell more records and get mass appeal - that really is selling out. Sugar Ray had a couple of big records over here 2 or 3 years ago which I quite liked, but I haven't heard anything from them since. Are they big over there now? Glad you liked the tag response - I had fun writing it and venting a bit :)
from urban-faerie :
I've got the Neon ballroom album now, and I love it. :D Btw is it just me or does the song dearest helpless sound SO Nirvana-ish? Ah well, seems like a good thing to me. :) Yay, another Fred Durst hater? He sucks, and he ruins the live version of outside so bad, cos it's a gorgeous song and there he is going "Yeh, wave those lighters man!!!" and other such crap. Grrrrrrrrrr ;)
from torpidity :
Sorry to hear about the "tightening of belts," as it were. Definitely know what THAT'S like. In the late 80s, my dad was unemployed for about 3 months. We had to go on food stamps. My mom went to a different grocery store than our usual, because she felt ashamed. To put it less-than-eloquently, it sucked.
from torpidity :
Hello, just wanted to say: Hey, nothing wrong with a little superficiality every now and then, eh?
from nmj :
Hey thanks. You're the first reviewee that said that. Particularly because I don't link my diary at the review site. And yes youre right I was the reviewer. How did you know? i better get on and read your diary now. It's become a daily =). BTW, thanks for liking that review.
from blacwynter :
I love that video clip too, and the one for 'Don't Panic'. You weren't overeacting, I think they just didn't understand your personal offence to their remarks, the connection with your father. The main point though was that it's not fair to make fun of somebody just because they don't have perfect pronunciation of a language which isn't their native tongue. I can't speak French, does that make me stupid? That poem was excellent and I'll look forward to getting a letter! : D
from torpidity :
I don't think you overreacted at all. It obviously felt offensive to you, regardless of who they were talking about. It was a blanket statement they were making about someone's speech. How very immature of them. Good for you for saying something!
from nmj :
Hello, Over reacting? Not. I wish you did anyway. But when people start making fun of others because of the way they speak or dress or anything for that matter totally bugs me. Even though that its not specified towards you or your spouse. They just showed ignorance. Anyway, you go girl. They don't understand, then thats their problem.
from blacwynter :
P.S. 'Shiver' is the absolute best song from Coldplay's album, though the whole of it is beyond brilliant. Listening to it right now) I reviewed your newest poem on ff.net too. I was slightly incoherent though so let me say here that you continue to 'out do' yourself. I wondered if it was written with anybody specific in mind, it's certainly powerful, emotional. Bye for now, keep polishing that silver throne ; )
from blacwynter :
I fecked another survey from your diary...sorry. Did you ever get the CD of 'Standing Still'? I ask because I have a surplus copy of the single and if you still like the song I don't mind sending it your way. Nobody else seems to like it. Thanks for the note, if only I was still 14 I might have an excuse for my behaviour. *sigh*

18 02 2002 - Posting post card tomorrow. I only hope I got your name and address correct. Social Awareness + Introspection = Depression. Now there's an equation they should teach. Do you think it's possible to be a philosopher in this day and age? Or do you have to wait until you're dead to be recognised as one? And does it pay enough to cover the rent?
from urban-faerie :
Uhuh I already downloaded Emotion sickness, Miss you love, and do you feel the same. I like 'em a lot. Have they got any albums? Cos I want them! :D Sorry I took a bit to get back to you, I didnt have my computer for a couple of days. Grrr. anyway it's back now so it's all good. I saw you did the survey that I had on my diary, surveys are always good. :) anyway I'll stop goin on, Buh bye. Helen xxx

Thanks for the sympathy for the dearly departed Rat Fink...sigh. And also, thanks for the crossed-fingers for my test. That's what happens when you're in your last year of college...you get to take classes you took in your last year of high school.
from blacwynter :
I updated. You can breathe again. (Kidding) No I don't mind being quoted either, it made my day. So did the fact you listed Sporkdom on your links entry. And if you read the latest update, you'll know I had a shitty day. So thankyou.
from urban-faerie :
Thanks for leaving me a note. :) I changed my background because I'd just got the whole design from a free layout thing so I thought I'd change it a bit myself, but I kinda liked the old one better, I dunno, I might change it again cos I get bored with them quickly. Your diary is still cool, I'm downloading some silverchair cos I've never heard anything by them but I've seen you and some other people going on about them so I'm gonna give them a go. :) anyway, cheers for the note. Love Helen x
from torpidity :
Hi, just happened to make it over to fanfiction. Thank you for critiquing my work. Re: The View from Up Here - It was just a little ditty I wrote one night, so I doubt it will go any farther. As for the novel, well....school just started for me again, so I guess whenever I have the time, I'll work on it. I have several other chapters, but I can't put them up yet because then nothing's in chronological order and it won't make sense that way. Heh, I wish I was this detail-oriented for my schoolwork.
from blacwynter :
Out of the corner of my eye...was that you, passing me by? Jewel Kilcher, as you probably know from the endless quotes is one of my favourite singers and that particular song is from her third album called 'This Way' Unfortunately it's not her best album and quite 'country' but it does have some great bonus tracks including a second rate version of her all time greatest (In my opinion) song 'Sometimes It Be That Way'.
from urban-faerie :
Hey. You don't know me or anything but I just found your diary in the recently updated section and I really liked it so I went and read all your entries, which was probably a bit sad but I am sick and not at school so I don't have anything else to do... anyway I like your poems, and I wish I could get ideas to write stuff all the time like that! Love the diary, love the poems, you seem like a nice lass, have a hug *hugs* ;) Love Helen xxxx
from blacwynter :
Do you have any idea how many writers 'failed' English or were labled dislexic?! Writers who went on to become successful or even write books which 'defined' their entire generation! Don't be disheartened, girl. You've got soul, and that's something which can never be graded by any exam. I'm not freaked out by what you said about similarities between us, I spotted that in your diary too. The need to feel emotionally insular and self reliant. I'd like to think that I do understand what part of you has been revealed to me through your writing. That's why I wrote that poem for you. And the sleep til you die thing? Been there, done that. Retreated into a mental fantasy land whenever possible. All this shall pass though, and you'll write your way through it, never fear. P.S. Lmao at the non-sexual bit because that's what my friends and I always say/write to each other: "I love you. (Non-sexually)"
from blacwynter :
Hey! New page design again! Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment about my poem! I haven't been able to read the review, ff.net is down atm so I wasn't even sure you'd read it. I'm glad you liked it : ) Are you going to stick with this page design? (Tortoise one) It's quirky, I like it. Goddess...I'm going to get a big head...lol
from adobogirl :
Nice page. I like. Um, sorry about the delay in responding to your request, but I hope you like it here. Welcome to Asian Pride. (^-^)
from blacwynter :
I checked out the Jim Carrol link from your diary but there wasn't much there for the uninitiated. I saw some song lyrics and got 'a feel' for his style. It's very 'Americana' isn't it? Are his poems much the same? I did change my page colours btw...several times. Then I found a site with designs and when I looked through them I saw yours! I've gone the opposite end of the spectrum though. I love your diary, it's very honest.
