I was wondering if you knew that diaryland lies to us! i recently bought a gold membership for 2 yrs. for $54 and then decided 2 days later that i didn't want it... and asked for my money back (which they promise you if it's within 30 days!) and THEY REFUSE TO EVEN ANSWER MY EMAILS!!! so i'm telling everyone.

I've found that's the way all of my class go as well. If you provide any point of dissention, no matter how correct or logical, you will not do well in the class. Ivan Illich said that a diploma or degree was society's stamp of approval that you have learned the "right" things. Often, society has its own motivations for what it teaches, which is usually to preserve the privileges of those who are in power. Are you sure your class isn't called Propoganda 101? I think it would be fun, at least for amusement purposes, but perhaps that is just because I am reading about it, instead of experiencing it. :)
