New diary... I like the layout. I've missed you.
from raven72d :
I do miss you. And it's always a Bad Thing when girls fall in love with Others...
from raven72d :
I hate it that I'll never hear your voice again...
from raven72d :
True love in Albany or Troy or Nyack? All illusion...
from raven72d :
What were you recording...?
from raven72d :
I do hope to hear your voice soon... late at night.
from raven72d :
Anime ("aneem") mecha-pilot hair would be sexy.
from raven72d :
I hope you will stay in touch. And call again.
from raven72d :
"Heart-stung literary geisha"... I do like that. And I'd so like to hear your voie again...
from raven72d :
Romeo Void... I still think of you when I hear that.

from tingeltangel :
[wishing you health and happy days]
from dimed :
Glad to hear a date is finally set, for your frantically beating heart to anticpate. Have fun darling.
from liss :
happy valentines day! *lick*
from dimed :
YOU MUST SEE SEX AND LUCIA. It is nothing but healing mediterranean beaches. All I could think about was Malta, and every time I pass a travel agency, I see what the going rates for Spain are.
from raven72d :
Vodka and rage supplant serotonin.
from dimed :
Sorry darling, I know you crave sojourn, and meant to add 'read at you leisure' on the last lengthy offering.
from dimed :
As far as 'heart-on-sleeve' romantic gestures go, mine do not appear so often as they are generally lost on the receiving party. Beautiful thing that he is, and love him dearly as I do, romance and Al are not synonymous. If you had caught me at a more optimistic time of day, my outlook might've been different, but I am fickle, and therefore subject to unpredictable mood swings. However, I am oddly excited at the prospect of your impending redezvous with the much-venerated Jubal. And god, do take your webcam photographs. Candid photos make me feel like a blessed voyeur. While they have provided me with unhealthy nostalgia in the past, there is nothing like having a hard copy of someone's liquid eyes staring out at you from a piece of developped photopaper. When do you leave?
from dimed :
I think part of my ungainliness is just a general inattention to my surroundings. I used to fall down stairs a lot more, and I must say, I prefer them to doors, as my ass does not mind being bruised as much as my face loathes an attempted flattening. It's funny you should mention your orange skyscape, because it reminds me of Joe too. He always tells me it's his favorite sky hue out of the myriad of shades we get up North. (It's funny; when you say up North, I guess you mean us. When I usually say up North, I mean friggin Nunavut.) If you are in love (and I'm assuming we are talking about the mysterious and sultry Jubal), then sell your worldly goods and leave town. If you ask me, there's not enough romance left in the world. Even if you aren't in love, then do it anyway, because you are damn near close enough that I don't think distinguishing is really an issue anymore. Plus you always get the best of people when you have a limited amount of time to soak in every taste, every touch, every word, every scent. You'll be paying so much attention that you won't miss the way their cheekbone angles when they smile in the morning light. And it will all be condensed into this grand romantic gesture that can never possibly be forgotten, no matter what happens. I guess at this point, it's a little hard to deny that I'm a romantic.
from dimed :
Feeling: slightly redeemed. I know Depeche Mode. Desperately trying to peel my eyes away from the computer screen, because it's passed 2 am here, and my contacts feel like a bacterial culture in my eye. Music, music, music, I would never be able to bear existence without it. You can read me off my cd shelf. I've been trying to cover up the little smudges on my wall with pictures; little smears are interesting, but detailed photos enthrall me. Putting me around candles is dangerous because a)I'm am ridiculously clumsy and b)they are mesmerizing. Was currently listening to: PJ Harvey. Al's choice. Track two. Fanfuckingtastic. The rest of the album is sort of 'I'd like to castrate you and embronze your penis', but enjoyable. Awesome cover. Ah, contacts revolting, must save shrivelling eye!!
from dimed :
Should I be hiding my face in shame that I was previously unaware of the existence of Dave Gahan? I know Chevelle, can't say I've added them to my collection, though I have the Red downloaded. Joe told me about the prison debacle, and while I'm sure you probably weren't ecstatic about being there, it made for an amusing anecdote. As far as outpourings of acoustic angst go, lately my nights have been spent with Elliot Smith, though minus the cigarettes, as those I usually bum off Joe. I enjoy staring at the dirt smears on my ceiling, guided deeply into thought by the musical manifestos of the various artists gracing my collection. Epiphanies come rarely, yet I enjoy it none the less. I am also embarassed to admit that I am not yet the proud owner of 100th floor window, and was actually thinking of getting their first album in favor of it. Am I about to make a huge blunder?
from dimed :
During the many conversations Joe and I had, he never once vilified you. I wish I could say I put on Mezzanine for the pure sultry pleasure of it all, but for me, it is more a focusing of the emotions; I can be quite frenetic, and it allows me to calm them and experience them individually as opposed to as an onslaught. I actually have Joe to thank for turning me on to them; we had many a late night conversation overlaying the album, and I'm not sure I would have otherwise been introduced to them.
from tingeltangel :
I think I feel honoured that my lack of presence was noticed. I'm a little to tired to know what I'm thinking, even feeling. I'd say it's chronic, but that would just be selfpity? Anyway, I'd like the converstations to continue, indeed.
from dimed :
It was a conscious misquotation. Though I was ridiculously pleased that you didn't let what might've been a blatant disregard to musical perfection go unnoticed. Due to the accumulated comments from the two boys, I must say, I was... titillated to meet you. Or read you, rather.
from raven72d :
Morphine in the orange juice... I like that.
from tingeltangel :
Raven, you are the only one of my list, because for all the time I've been at this place, your thoughts and oppinions are the only ones that have called for me, in some way. I've just gotten another name... And perhaps you are right, about the way the world spins. I'd like to think that you are.
from ravieslave :
Your guilt trips are giving me a fucking headache.
from raven72d :
I notice from your list that you didn't call me on New Years Eve. But then-- no one else did, either.
from raven72d :
Is masturbation more fun when spelled "maitre-bastion"?
from raven72d :
Black skirts=good. Black skirts without underwear=better. Vices=good. Gluttony in all things sexual=good.
from raven72d :
Despite what people may tell you, I haven't been swept away by an avalanche while snowboarding or buried under mudslides. I still hope you'll call.
from raven72d :
Christmas... I didn't get a pony...or books...or cash...or Eternity for Men...and no girl called. And no girl has called in weeks. Apparently I'm no good even for phonesex these days.
from raven72d :
And my long-awaited phone call from you will be...when?
from raven72d :
Hmmm... I'm not 6-3 or "junkyard"... but I'm good at creating fantasy scenarios...
from raven72d :
I hope the e-mail arrived.
from soffs :
But hey, I usually miss a lot of points... :p
from raven72d :
I just mailed you my numbers.
from raven72d :
I'll do that! "Wonky" is an odd word... are you sure it isn't a derogatory phrase for people from Platte?
from raven72d :
I'm glad! I'd hate to think I'd done anything to anger you. You're a delight-- and a girl I'd like to hear more from... Feel free to call any night! I hope that 24 Dec 03 will be a good night for you...
from raven72d :
The second pope-- after St. Peter --was named Linus. No other pope has been named Linus. This really should be remedied.
from raven72d :
I have this terrifying feeling that you're angry with me...
from raven72d :
I should have been born one decade *after* I was.
from musicismath :
song was porcelain - last august i went on a hellish 20 day trip around the states with a trucker. i hate oklahoma only second to louisiana. live the dream.
from raven72d :
Call me this weekend if you can...
from raven72d :
I hope both SLit and Ravie are panty-free...
from raven72d :
But do you use a different accent when you're Slit?
from raven72d :
I miss your voice, Michelle...and "ecstasy-coloured Santa reject" is a great line.
from raven72d :
Ham and egg on toast sandwiches are wonderful
from raven72d :
Call me again... tonight, if you can.
from raven72d :
potential is a terrifying thing to have.
from raven72d :
Send me a phone number and I'll leave you inebriated voicemails... Call and talk soon.
from raven72d :
Wuff! said the small basset hound.
from candor :
Many thanks for the insight.
from raven72d :
Seroquel and sex dreams and emptiness... It's a classic frieze...
from raven72d :
Wal-Mart is a terrifying place. I once saw a small (maybe 2 years old) child take a dump in the middle of an aisle. The clothing on display is...bizarre. And the customers-- so many extra calories, so many missing teeth. Hard Cola? Can't say I've ever tried it...
from histamine :
'but one day i froze up'
from xeran :
Perhaps you are correct, and my jest was inappropriate. I meant no offense. I just was trying to make you smile. Please forgive my foolishness.
from raven72d :
I can always sigh while listening to "Come Undone"...or early Bauhaus.
from xeran :
I disagreed with your asertion that you were not a communist. I was calling you a commie bitchtard. Just kidding. It was a joke. :)
from seedpod :
reading the list I though of our combined cd collection and how a night of insomina coupled with something good to drink and eat would probably produce some of the best 'ooh ooh let me pick a track next' nights ever on record. xxxx
from auzzman676 :

Any time.
from raven72d :
I'm glad things are going better.
from raven72d :

from auzzman676 :
had awild sexual nite last nite ,a american friend from s/f,turn her on goldfapp and recoil on headphones, she said in that wonderful american accent ,what is this great music, ravie we have a convert stephen
from eargasms :
No wonder the name 'eargasm' was taken. I was debating between 'eargasms' and 'soundgasms' but the former won it out. It is much of a coincidence, isn't it? In my case it's more of a personal project than anything else, but only because I'm not expecting a lot of public response (if there were though, that'd be fantastic). I figure on my own, I could already generate a few hundred entries to keep this thing going, and I hope I will. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you'll contribute.
from auzzman676 :
just got goldfrapp strict machine maxi single 7songs with 2 live tracks love the sound on headphones, how is your mum?.take care stephen
from psycho-chik :

from raven72d :
Brick is still the wall of choice for being slammed against by passion. Panty-free, of course.
from raven72d :
The synth imagery is wonderful. I'm a Human League fan... All beautiful girls should sleep naked... Sleeping alone becomes so easily a habit-- drifting alone, filling the space around yourself with other and ghostly voices and worlds. Stoli is good... I'm a Stoli Vanil fan...
from raven72d :
That's a delicious set of images... Write and tell me more.
from raven72d :
I wonder what fuels your fevers...
from sixtoone :
I'm glad to hear that you are doing better. I should call you soon, so that we can regail each other with stories of eating children. That always makes everything better. J
from raven72d :

from raven72d :
I thought everything starred Jennifer Lopez. There's even a picture of her on my carton of flan.
from raven72d :
The flan. I actually came for the free flan.
from raven72d :
Have you ever thought of setting fire to random strangers as a hobby? Or a vocation?
from raven72d :
Absolutely... And it's a favorite scene for me to play out with Catholic girls...
from raven72d :
Alas... I'd wanted to be a favorite of yours. And Catholic guilt can be a delight-- if it leads to games of Catholic-schoolgirl-and-the-Archbishop or masturbating with ivory crosses...
from raven72d :
I want to hear Til Tuesday sing "Voices Carry" again.
from raven72d :
It's Irish and Sicilian Catholicism that engender guilt... French and North Italian Catholicism teach a mastery of the sardonic shrug. You do have my phone number; you're encouraged to use it.
from raven72d :
Catholic? Meaning....? The cell phone (wireless, really) is sitting charged on my desk, mocking me. "Brought into 1998"? That's cruel-- I always hate myself for not being on the curve, for not having things that an educated professional aware of the hip should have. The cell phone is just one more object that forces me to realize how pathetic I am.
from raven72d :
And your weekend is going....?
from raven72d :
"Let It Be"... Hmmm. I was just hearing Leonard Cohen's "Sisters of Mercy" in my head... Write/call...
from raven72d :
Crown Royal? Hmmm... I was made into a Wild Turkey fan by Hunter S. Thompson.
from raven72d :
Vanilla is usually better than barium sulfide... And are you Slit as well? is she your other face?
from raven72d :
Moisturizer is key. So are both kinds of stilettos.
from raven72d :
Ballard... His "Crystal World" and "Voices of Time" are favorites of mine. I loved Cronenberg's film of "Crash"... I'm near New Orleans... historian-turned-attorney... a fan of Curve, yes... I like long walks on fog-shrouded, rocky Baltic beaches... Oklahoma City? How is that as a locale?
from raven72d :
Tell me more about yourself...
from raven72d :
I loved the somnolent-blue scene myself...
from raven72d :
Can you identify the phrase, "all watched over by machines of loving grace"?
from joyless :
Well, at least I got to make fun of them for weeks after. Thanks; now I get to go to college and listen to horrible on-campus jam bands instead.
from joyless :
For some strange reason I really like Scarlet's Walk a lot, it hits me somewhere, I don't know. Thanks, I like my answers too (har dee har). Aural Sects kind of sucked. Kind of REALLY sucked. They were basically a bunch of rhythm-free hockey players who decided it'd be a good idea to abuse the audience with a couple of acoustic guitars, a snare drum, and some covers of John Mayer's music that actually made it sound worse.
from brotherchaos :
9-ish.
from brotherchaos :
Back at the beginning. Sinking, swimming.
from leslieirene :
I love Tears for Fears...especially all of the older stuff from "The Hurting". I even have the video "My Mind's Eye" from way back before they hit it big! Loving them!
from trancepixie :
hey raves this is patty, listen I started a diary here I need your help, also I want to get your reply on seeing if we can start cheating on line, please reply back, thank you i hope you are well :)
from ceruleandusk :
You have both my admiration and approval. I have a great deal of respect for someone who appreciates the fine difference between just blue and true ocular cerulean. Please excuse me while I sulk in abject depression at never having met David.
from seedpod :
knock knock who's there? me me who? me me please let me in tis cold out here and the music is shite. xxx
from kiittamaton :
I fell in love with HIM's version of Wicked Game as well but I can't get over Dark Secret Love, I must've listened to it a million times by now and each time it blows me away. Haha maybe I just love hearing Ville say "I love you" huh? =)
from yamakingj :
Thank you for the compliment. The same can be said of you.
from gypped :
I'm the day before. I'll let you know how it goes. I figure: you'll be prepared then.
from yamakingj :
My immediate, hystrionic response-thought was that friends are passe, but I don't HONESTLY believe that. I just wish that people would stop trying to not hurt my feelings. Honesty is so refreshing. In the correct dosages...
from liss :
*hugs + touches cheeks for a minute.* (no, not buttcheeks, how perverse ;) *smiles and wanders off.*
from yamakingj :
The problem with the situation is that the only thing we can be sure of is that we are being lied to. The question is: Who's the bigger liar? I don't doubt that Saddam is an asshole, but I do doubt our interest in his problems. Where I draw the line is in the attitude that war is NECCISSARILY evil. People die, things break, and ultimately shit happens. I could talk at you concerning this for hours, and if you were willing, I would. J
from angelbait :
I think about "Army of Me" when people, for whatever reason, can't apply to jobs or get out of bed without help, and I am not going to say anything further, because he's trying really hard, he really is, the cute boy thing.
from brotherchaos :
Love to. Look me up if you ever find your way into mid-MO.
from sylviashadow :
Thanx for taking badhabits!--sylviashadow ps. once on a 3day meth binge my friend says she swears she saw/halucinated yoda in the passenger seat of her car...:)
from sylviashadow :
Thanks for taking my music survey! Check out my webpage at www.geocities.com/madpoet44311/conniesrants and sign the book!-sylviashadow
from deadpetals :
this is not a conclusion, not a revolution, just a little confusion on where your head has been... I haven't named her. But she is a her, and she is my love, and she is not here! I'm miserable without her.
from deadpetals :
bells and footfalls and soldiers and dolls brothers and lovers she and i were---I miss my darling baby. She's actually at my parents' house in California, a beautiful 7' baby grand in dark cherry. And I love her and miss her terribly.
from deadpetals :
you always did prefer the drizzle to the rain tell me that you're still in love with that milkmaid
from deadpetals :
spring brings fresh little puddles that makes it all clear do you know what this is doing to me?
from boothmonkey :
I hope you can make him see the truth. There is only one thing in this world that can make him happy, and she is not it. Tell him to pursue his dreams, if that doesn't work out then he can hang with us in our abyss of wasted talent. I won't let him go down without a fight. Also, I can't find any friends to talk to! Pout
from boothmonkey :
Uh, I guess, uh, I could like update soon.
from yamakingj :
Chris spoke highly of you and directed me to your D-land site. I read it, and like the mindless internet junkie I am, I started my own. Inexplicably it, unlike everything else I've signed up for, has endured. As of now my internet use is extremely limited, and so I will be difficult to get ahold of. Still, unless Chris has grossly overexaggerated you, I would love to communicate. Wordy bastard aren't I?
from doctoredjnr :
shit I just lost what I was going to say. It was sitting there in my brain waiting paiently in the queue before it was kicked out by the desire to get a drink. Your talk of ghetoo slang got me thinking and I think I might go run my diary through a translator. So thank you.
from yamakingj :
Thanks for listing me as a favorite. I have been neither prolific nor interesting here on Diaryland of late, but I've made up for it elsewhere. I should like to talk sometime in the future. You are, after all, the reason I started this journal.
from seedpod :
damn guestbook ate my signing...fuck fuck fuck....ahh if only I could beat the danny boy into submission...heh...I tried once but only managed to trip him up.....he has the best incisor teeth ever- they make you think you're about to be eaten (in the ouch kinda way) at any second. sleep lassie sleep....
from boothmonkey :
Yeah, had to vent a little. Sorry
from brotherchaos :
Ahhh, PLIF. Sick fuckers, aren't they? Carlos in Hell was my wallpaper for a few months.
from boothmonkey :
Hey, please make some changes to my diary. I need to organize. Going back to the breakdown now.
from liss :
i fell in love. x: wish i was here more. miss you guys. loved you guys first. confusion. but, love, at last. *kisses your forehead*
from weedqueen :
thanks for the note. im not single now, i have a lovely man, but im up for getting drunk and bitching about how crap it was with anyone with such good music and film taste. so feel free to IM me.x
from brotherchaos :
If you're quoting "The Wretched", I think that's brilliant. If not, you should look into it. K
from boothmonkey :
I don't have any prolific statement for you.I read your other notes and know that I cannot out do them. No words of wisdom from this Good Enough Diploma wearing dip-shit, but I wanted to let you know I am proud you finally said stop. You are my idol, and I hope to one day obtain the strength that you radiate. Just thinking of you, my beautiful sister. Love You---
from sad-disease :
I have the connection. I have found where I had previously read the words "Depeche Mode is clichd." There is an association. This is filling me up with new life.
from soffs :
I just want to say that I love you!
from soffs :
Don't worry babe! We still love you, RavieBaby. :-)
from brotherchaos :
It's good (well, is it?) to know that other souls are out there lost in isolation. May we all find what we seek, eventually.
from erato :
Thank you for taking the time to fill out my survey. I enjoyed your answers, you gave me something to ponder tonight.
from sad-disease :
"Let me see you stripped down to the bone."
from boothmonkey :
Thank you for your last entry. It really touched me. Oh, and I am leaving you a damn note so you will stop bitching. My stomach hurts, "sniff".
from synchronaut :
the heat was stifling. the company was not.
from unwittingly :
Hah, you're planning on visiting the west coast for your vacation, and I'm planning on visiting OKC. We're trading...Well, sorta.
from yamakingj :
Beautifully written. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed it very much. J
from boothmonkey :
Hey you, I'm leaving you a note from your computer. Mom tried to break it, but I think it's working okay now. I don't think you should let her play on the computer. Ha, Ha..oh, gotta go, here she comes.
from boothmonkey :
Okay, it wasn't that damn funny. And no..it isn't fixed. I bent the wheel, and the tire is destroyed...So I hope you had a Happy Damn Birthday. Just Kidding, I don't blame you, well...maybe a little.
from boothmonkey :
Hey, guess what? You are old! Happy, Happy B-Day. Love you, and have lots to drink.
from devonsdream :
How are you dollface. Concerned and wondering. I miss you.
from angelbait :
DORK! I like your diary. It's so you. There's drama, but it's the rare sort of drama that doesn't suck. Hoorah for Fat Sean Astin!
from boothmonkey :
I just thought this would make you smile, I would be Fat Sean Astin if I were a character in the world of the rings. FAT, FAT, FAT Sean Astin. Is your favorite weapon, uh...food! Then you are a fat bastard, and we will give you an annoying role in the film. Fight on Sam,(burp) we know you can.
from yamakingj :
Hello: I was directed to your page by a friend of mine who seemed to think i would gain something therein. It would honour me greatly if you would take a moment to look at my page as well. Yamakingj
from busted :
hey i tried to email you with my password info but i got this back: : Sorry, User's Disk Quota Exceeded clear your email girlie! -Q
from raven- :
you're number one! you're number one! *does a little dance* thanks muchly for the note, it make me feel like we are thing one and thing two, or however that goes. haha.
from rhetoric :
i meant it as empty language more than 'rhetorical' questions. however, if that works, maybe i'll just change my real name to rhetorical and ask people questions and then just walk away.
from kittiesrcute :
HEY! SPELL MY ADDRESS RIGHT IF YOU TRULY HAVE AFFINITY FOR ME! *hehehehe* Just being silly with you...Almost time for price is right! Do you think Jerri is the next to go. I hope so. What a wench, or something! Ladeedadeda, price is right and coffeecocoa. *SMMOOOOCH* Bye girly girly girl.
