"safety deposit box" is brilliant.
from contumely :
I was inspired to write it (smoke and mirrors, not the one about castration) after seeing you'd returned. Throw up a couple more paragraphs, it won't wear out your enter key.
from lsmonkey :
Hello. Thanks for listing me in your favourites. You are mysterious! I like the two paragraphs idea. Look forward to reading you in the future, ls.
from longitude :
i am sending you good thoughts.
from dearedwin :
that sounds about right.
from greentealeaf :
sending you many hugs ..
from refusal :
You're back! Cinema audiences are more interesting than cinema screens. Though they're less keen on being watched. Hmm, I just had an excellent idea involving one-way mirrors.
from greentealeaf :
erm, ahem, cough! (makes strange throaty noises) isn't it about time?
from greentealeaf :
hrm. i was at gleebooks the other day and while i happily buried my little nose inside a cindy sherman book, i thought of you briefly. i think i should do it more often, ya know. hero worship of sorts.
from raven72d :
Merry Christmas...
from greentealeaf :
aww, you linked me, i'm so touched! :) p/s ask me if you need anything!
from greentealeaf :
you sound sad dear lady. *hug*
from bilgedasto :
death has a way of making earth seem smaller. will oldham has a way of making earth seem deadly.
from contumely :
I'm sure the Clifton bridge would stand up even if you cut all the cables, pesky Victorian engineering. Part of me thinks that suspension bridges were invented by kids' science TV programs or Blue Peter just to be clever. Either that, or when King Kong escaped they needed to do something with the chains.
from raven72d :
leaving small notes in bookstores...that's a lovely thought.
from thefictions :
even better.
from thefictions :
a good sigh or a bad sigh?
from thefictions :
that was absolutely gorgeous. you seem ever so lovely & talented through these electrical wires & screens.
from greentealeaf :
current entry -- beautiful. a person who makes apologies like that can be endearing to the heart.
from raven72d :
don't pad the flesh. only set books between your spirit and the world.
from thefictions :
beautiful.
from pollymagoo :
alas poor jane.
from raven72d :
and how is the weekend?
from greentealeaf :
haha. i steal words all the time. it's kind of a full-time job. aren't all words in a way recycled over and over anyway? p.s. thankyou for the warm wishes, ma'am. (bows head)
from dominguez :
i like it. it reminds me of my favourite comic books would do cross-overs when i was a kid. you'd be reading spiderman and suddenly the fantastic four would show up. we should do more of it i think.
from raven72d :
i so want to know the stories behind the entries...
from raven72d :
From my window I see a line of old and shadowed pine trees... Touching the twilight is an old dream of mine.
from greentealeaf :
stop being so amazing, it's frustrating to be so jealous. but on second thoughts .. maybe not. (i can see the little mosque all lit up every night from my room. but i didn't think much of it. now it's going to mean something.)
from raven72d :
I treasure my black Armani trenchcoat. I can be either a Jesuit or the Devil whenever I wear it-- that worked for Gabriel Byrne in "Stigmata" and "End of Days": same Armani trenchcoat, different characters.
from raven72d :
ahhh...a girl wearing nothing but a trenchcoat... i always wonder what such a girl has written on the bits of notepaper in her pockets...
from thelittlefox :
a note to raven: holy shit, you do go everywhere i go, don't you?
from raven72d :
History being a field where one never gets to begin at the beginning, the backstory opens up all sorts of other lines of fascination and exploration.
from raven72d :
Feel free to explore. And do tell me your whole backstory-- I am an trained historian, after all.
from raven72d :
"Courtesan" is an utterly brilliant entry.
from raven72d :
Ahhh...yes: conceptual life is always the best.
from raven72d :
mine either... i'm a more...conceptual...person.
from raven72d :
Well, then: you must find/create your own applique.
from thelittlefox :
everything's nothing until it gets okay. lovers are okay until they have everything.
from raven72d :
did you get the applique to sew on?
from greentealeaf :
i wish i wrote that. damn you for outsmarting me, again and again!
from pollymagoo :
I think you're very good.
from greentealeaf :
i'd compare that feeling to having swallowed a lolly accidentally. my mouth thinks, 'damn, it's too bad that it couldn't last.'
from greentealeaf :
sometimes your words leave a funny feeling in my mouth. i wonder why.
from greentealeaf :
and more often than not, your two paragraphs aren't enough for me. (just out of curiosity, was the title of your july 19th entry named after a song by the same name by ben lee?)
from greentealeaf :
beautiful.
