| Ok, I had a spinal tap last summer. Well, I had more than one, but that's because they couldn't find my spine with the needle. So at first they poked and poked and poked, and then they sent me to do an x-ray assisted tap.(they were looking for, and found, viral meningitis) That is what you should ask for- the assisted tap. Also make sure you get numbed first- this is modern medicine we're talking about. There's no reason to be in any pain for these proceedures. |
