Hey, girl. I was so surprised to see you had updated the other day. I am glad to have you back at D-land, but very very sorry to hear about all the struggles you are going through. I know it won't make you feel better for me to say that this too shall pass, but it will. For every trial and tribulation we endure, we grow wiser and stronger and much more seasoned. I know it just sucks that you have to experience so much pain in the process. I am sorry to hear about your miscarraige. That is devastating. These kind of matters are really out of your hands though and you just have to reinvest some faith in the world again. Glad you are back and let me know if I can be there for anything. Heather

You know, so many people tell me they have memories of that song. Michael W. Smith should know about them all and then create a book with all the stories. Or maybe I will LOL! When I was in high school, I was in the color guard and I had to go away to band camp when I became the captain. At the end of every day, they played this song. It was SO amazing. And it was the first time I had ever heard it. Then we brought it back with us and would play it after our competitions. I never knew he was a Christian artist. I think it's pretty amazing for a religious type song to be played in such a secular place as a public school! I bet they aren't allowed to anymore (sadly). But great great memories for me, too!

hee hee! I was wondering if anyone ever notices my avatar... I do change her clothes a lot. sometimes every day! it's the grown-up version of paperdolls, I guess. There's an option on my yahoo avatar for displaying your avatar on your blog. You just click on it and it writes out the html code and you just paste it into your template. I'll see if I can recreate it by looking around on the site again and then send you directions.

OHHHH the wetting the bed thing! haha! I bought a waterproof cover for the mattress so all I have to do is throw everything into the washer. Seriously the BEST way to go! Nic still has his crib mattress, he uses a toddler bed, so the mattress is vinyl covered anyway, but still it's SO much easier to clean. BRU has them. And the cradle cap, I am SO happy it's helping Austin! I felt so much better when I got rid of it early on. And there was something else I was going to respond to in your diary but I can't remember LOL!

OH CRADLE CAP! Man, Nicolas had it until he was a year when I finally combed it out. I mean I literally picked it all out with a comb! I hated the idea of it, but it happened my chance. I used a comb to brush his hair once and it picked up all the cradle cap, so I had to finish the job. I thought it would just go away, too but it didn't. Then Logan started getting it and I decided to head it off! I combed it all out with only two applications of oil. I combed it while the oil was on his head and after. It never came back, I was soooo happy because both my boths have a TON of hair and it's awful to deal with it. The oil stays in their hair and it looks dreadful lol! So, if you want any advice, use a comb to get it out gently. I was so glad I did with Logan. I didn't want him to have it for a year. I actually think Nic's hair is thinner than it should be because the cradle cap prevented growth of some of his hair. I'm not an expert or anything, but it just seems sorta logical lol

Ok you were talking about my husband! Tim is just like Bob, oblivious to cleanliness. He wouldn't think to do any of those things before putting the kitchen back either! We did our kitchen in 04 and he did not think twice about the messes that were made. And the toilet? If I weren't here to clean it, it would never get done. I am telling you, he just doesn't have a clue what clean is! It's amazing how he could trip over something on the floor, curse at it and then just go about his business. Don't bother to pick it up. AND he complains about never being able to find anything. Course, he leaves everything wherever he used it last! He says he will put it away later, but he never does! Drives me crazy loL!

Ok, so I have been MIA lately, so I just caught up with you. Weird about your friend. Really weird. I had someone on myspace that I was best friends with in junior high, and I had found her. We never even started talking again! SHe must have found me and decided she didn't want to talk to me, so she blocked me. Anyway. If it was me, I would go to her salon. Thanks for sending me the pw info. I just started to catch up on you diary. Dan and I remodeled our kitchen a few months ago and I love the way it looks now. It was all white and now we put in oak cabinets, new countertops and flooring. It is so much nicer to be in a kitchen that you love. Congrats on the newest addition to your family! Oh man do I know what you're going through with skin issues. Logan is now 8 1/2 months old and he has serious eczema. I can't even wipe his hands with an unscented wipe they break out in a rash. I can't use laundry detergent with a scent, people other than us cannot put their skin or clothing near his face or hands. It's awful. I hope you like guy has it easier!

Jenn, It has taken me too long to write you a note, but I am keeping track of ya. I wanted you to know that you are doing a great job with the family. You shouldn't feel so bad about the CC cards. You were able to purchase things throughout the year that you needed and now you can pay it off. Thats what they are for. I'm getting a soft comfy robe Christmas too...and I was thinking the same thing about it being nice to have at the hospital. I thought it would be nice to sit around home and breastfeed in too. :) I have been having some weird pressure down there as well that I don't ever remember having with Riley....maybe it's some second baby thing. I don't know. I was going to ask about it at my appoinment this Thursday.

I actually think it's probably from not lying down and resting enough. The pain, I mean. I had pain similar to what you're describing when I was pregnant with Aislyn because I had picked Ri up the wrong way. It only last a few days though. Have you mentioned it to your doctor? I might if I were you, it doesn't sound like much fun!

We don't do santa either. We kind of play off the stockings like we don't know where they came from...but that's it. We also tell the kids that other kids do believe in santa, and it is not our place to tell them otherwise. The kids don't get bombarded with presents, either. Christmas is about celebrating Jesus, not how much money we can spend to make our kids think we love them more! lol

I understand about how you treat others. I do the same thing. Unless I consider myself really close to that person (which I do, you), I leave them alone. I feel weird even talking about stuff. I'm a very quiet person if I don't know someone, and it comes off as very snotty. And I hate that about me. I am learning too, how to react to other people the way they need me to, and not how I think I should. Be strong, I'll pray for peace and strength for you and your family. ♥

Yea, she did move out. She was going to move out in January when she headed off to college. Hey, Jen. The safari theme is going to be sooo cute. I am so very excited for you to be having another baby. What an old pro you are now at this whole motherhood thing. As for weight watchers, that sounds good. I have all the info., but for right now I am really trying to avoid sweets. Weight watchers also has a CORE program which I am going to look through tonight. Thanks for reminding me about WW. The core program is high protein, low carbs and no sugars. That is what I need to lose weight. If I cheat at all I end up craving sweets all the time. Then it all starts up again. I am also exercsing at least 30 minutes on the treadmill as many times a week as I can spare. So, far this week I have gone everyday which has felt great. I guess nothing has really changed with Brandon since last week. It's been off ever since I was unable to make it to his house on Saturday two weeks ago. I don't know what is going on. We talked on Wednesday made tentative plans to do something and then I was gone till yesterday. He knew I was home last night but he didn't call and neither did I. It's pretty much over, I guess. I don't know how we went from talking every single day and really liking each other to meeting and having a great time and really really liking each other to this but it did. Hey there! I've been keeping up with your diary although I've neglected to update mine. Have you returned to work? Is Aidan in daycare? I'm still unsure what I'm going to do with Evie once I return. I guess I better figure it out quickly since time is ticking! You asked about pumping . . . well I usually let Evie feed off of one breast and then I'll pump the other one. Sometimes she wants both breasts, but I can usually count on her only taking one in the morning, afternoon, and early evening. I can usually pump about 4 oz. Not as much as most women but it allows me to go to bed at 9 and get 3-4 hours of consecutive sleep while C feeds the baby. I haven't had to pump yet in a work situation. But let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to answer them (or I can ask some friends who do pump at work). Love, Nancy

Hey!! I am not excatly sure about the ounces. At the beginning when we used to supplement him with a bottle, he would drink about 4 ounces at a time. But of course, he's a lot bigger now! He goes through times too that it just doesn't seem like he is satisfied, but that always passes in a couple of days. For the most part, when he nurses he only empties one side and leaves the other side for the next feeding. Maybe little Aidan is going through a growth spurt...if so it will pass in a little bit. If he empties both sides, there's nothing wrong with giving him a bit of formula too. :) I hope Wednesday went well for you two!! You will have to update and let us all know:)

Evie is the same way - she'll be fussing and then C will come home and she'll be quiet - initially at least. After awhile, she gets super overstimulated and then starts fussing again. We have a VERY fussy baby. Have you read "The Happiest Baby on the Block?" It's seriously the only way I can get my baby to calm down - she is very prone to meltdowns. I swear, once evening rolls around she's pretty much swaddled constantly and sucking on a pacifier. Anyhow, don't worry - you're doing an awesome job as a mommy. You really need to be forgiving towards yourself and realize that both you and Aidan are learning right now and getting to know each other. Also keep in mind that if you're feeling nervous, the baby can pick up on your emotions. The two of you are very in-tune with each other. So believe in yourself; know what an incredible mother you are; and don't worry about the breastfeeding thing - it's definitely not for everyone.

I tried that soy formula too. Didn't work for us. I am using just the plain lactose free advance kind now and it's done wonders. Of course Griffin's problems involved spitting up as well. The breast pump thing is probably your best bet. Babies are angels when they are breast fed. I rented mine from the hospital. Can you do that? It was a good option for me. I don't know if I'll sale Griffins' clothes or not. I thought I would but now I jsut look at them and don't thikn I can. I'm crazy.

We went to Sear's for our family picture, and it turned out pretty good. I recently tried JCPenney, and the pictures were great. So when it happens, you'll have to post at least a sentence letting me know - otherwise I'm going to worry myself sick! I have a doctor's appointment today and another internal exam. It's been 3 weeks since my last exam, at which I was 50% effaced and just beginning to dilate. I'm hoping that I've made some progress. I will post an update tomorrow. Are you still gaining weight? I thought it was supposed to taper off, but I'm still gaining, which makes me think I'm not as close to labor as I'd like to be.

The last couple of weeks are the hardest part of being pregnant. I hated them and I was only pregnant up until the 36 week so I cant' imagine how it feels to go full term or to go past your due date. Yard sales are the best place to find baby clothes. I found some of the cutest things for like a $1. Plus they only wear them for a short time so it's nice to not spend much. As for Brandon, I didn't call him. I don't know why I didn't. I like him. I think he likes me. I just can't seem to think of anything to say to him. Maybe I'm just wierd. I did however go out with John last night. The truth is I know that John is not the one, he's not even anyone that I would want to be with but he's no scary either. He's not going to hurt me. He's not going to break my heart. I don't care what he says or what he does and if he stopped calling tomorrow, it wouldn't matter. John's not the one and I don't want him to be so it's easy. Thanks for the kind message! My best friend experienced shortness of breath as well, especially after eating. I guess things are starting to get a bit cramped in there. People really are clueless about how a seemingly innocuous comment can affect the inner workings of a pregnant woman's mind. I can tell that as I begin to increasingly show, these comments are just going to get worse and consequently, drive me nuts. Have you had people (particularly acquaintances or strangers) ask to rub your belly yet? If so, does it bug you?

Wow. I just read a lot of your archives and we have so much in common. I was terrified of telling my parents too even though we are all very close. I waited until the very last minute to tell them, I think I was close to 28 weeks or something. I am tall so I didn't show until about week 31 or 32. Anyways it was awful keeping the baby a secret and my parents reacted so well too. They have been nothing but supportive. I also have the what ifs in the back of my mind from time to time. I was supposed to move to Charlotte in August but then I got pregnant and couldn't go. I always thought I would be married before I got pregnant too. It seems that life is what happens when we are planning it because none of my life plans turned out like I thought. I have been blessed so much since finding out about the baby though and even more so since having him. It's wonderful. I am glad that you have Tim though. I admit it - the weight loss is a huge part of why I'm determined to breastfeed. Many women who breastfeed end up being thinner after their pregnancies than before they started!
