I am holding you personally responsible for me just now finding out how amazing A River Ain't Too Much to Love is.....the ball has been dropped, but not really.

In ten years I will post something new here and get a quick note from you that will make my day. I'm always around, usually somewhere near the back, pressed against the door. But around.

from shoot-down :

from tarynheart :
locked?!?!?! this is tragic! is it temporary?
from recieveher :
even though i fight it, i am one.
from recieveher :
everytime that there are shakes and jitters, i move into a notebook or lock my doors up. i'm afraid of being recognized these days, of being discovered - these parts of me that people call new land unwittingly lead to my defense, because i have been peaking them through my skin, little glimpses of the night inside me. but it seems that no one recognizes me unless i am being obvious. so - done - at least for now.
from greentealeaf :
hey miss t. sending you a hug.
from bombasine :
i am very very interested! what do i do now?
from bombasine :
are you still selling prints? please say yes!
from lumpy13 :
Good luck.
from bombasine :
alas, it costs a fortune...
from bombasine :
i have a book recommendation for you - "developmental juvenile osteology" by louise scheuer and sue black. it is about bones rather than culture, and it is too technical in places to read cover to cover, but it is facinating and you will feel so smart.
from endless-sea :
you're pretty damn awesome yourself.
from lumpy13 :
Oddly enough, I am an only child and I find myself ill more often than not.
from greentealeaf :
t, i heart the new layout ... and remember that you are still the coolest in my book. i would love to purchase your prints as christmas gifts this year. and please don't stop inspiring me!
from explodingboy :
@ does anybody even read this crap? I do but never knew it was.
from recieveher :
i will miss you here and find you there.
from longitude :
That entry wasn't really meant for me to read right. The only people I find inspiring might just be you and you. Ohh.. I hope you are never leaving. xxo
from oh-sweet-pea :
i like your diary and agree wholeheartedly that dland is boring.
from my-serenade :
i adore this entry (the opposition). -L

from andthisair :
May I just say: WHOA. I am seriously jealous of anyone in possession of those boots.

i'm thinking about redesigning my site as well. i get so tired of it so easily. if you need help let me know. my skills are limited, but it'll be easier with two heads instead of one! xxo
from gallinula :
I am very sorry to hear about your grandmother, especially since you're feeling all this on a very distant shore.
from gallinula :
No ma'am, I am not on myspace. Lots of people I know think it's strange that I don't, but at least it's for a decent enough, proactive reason, anyway. I'm one of those creatives who knows to be grateful when you've got some vivid picture idea you can make into something. I would kinda find it a chore if I started one up now.
from longitude :
it is good to be in the company of you. my sorrows are surfacing tonight and i need some beauty to bring me above them.. so i come here. all love ..

from manzanas :
I know what you mean! It's been too long since I've been in a hotel. Oh, and I still think you write amazingly well.
from decemberguy :
I thought I left you a note before..but apparently not. Im currently living in Huntsville, Tejas about 4/5 hours from Big D. Today I got into a fight with Bank of America because their online transactions website blows goats. I tried to explain this to them over the phone but they wasted so much of my time, that I ended up using all the minutes on my phone. Bastardos....
from bonnylisbon :
Then I would fit right in?
from bonnylisbon :
I'm hoping that you and your husband can re-raise me and make me cool.
from bonnylisbon :
Will you adopt me?
from lightfallsup :
it's funny you left me a note because i was just thinking about you the other day. how've you been?
from bonnylisbon :
It is Nina Simone's "Love me or Leave me," I love that song so much.
from sunkship :
haha, and he always edits his notes page when i left him "you are a pedophile" notes. freak.
from sunkship :
LMAO, i knew who you were talking about right away too. hahaha, that guy used to stalk me back when i was in like grade eight or nine, he's SUCH A PEDO.
from bonnylisbon :
I know, I know. It's sad really, for such an "educated" man he seems so clueless about shit like that. Let him love the skin and bones, just not ours, I suppose. Another round of applause for the woman who can write the words that sting!
from bonnylisbon :
Did you know that TWO FUCKING LINES INTO YOUR LAST ENTRY, I knew who you were talking about? I applaud you, I do. I've always felt kind of weird about the obsessive need to remind girls to go panty free as well as reccomending that they starve themselves in order to have hip bones that pop out of their hip huggers. You. Are. Awesome.
from out-to-sea :
oh, don't be silly! it was no trouble at all.
from mercuryruled :
have a safe trip home! i love the song on your myspace! bye!
from raven72d :
The window open, 5 a.m.-- I like that.
from bonnylisbon :
Those are EXCELLENT Sons & Daughters songs. Last night I sat around with friends and listened to them. "Fight" sounds really good at 2 a.m. after a few too many rum and cokes.
from mercuryruled :
its about 5 hours from me. which is closer than texas! too bad to u didnt get a layover in milwaukee or madison that'd be very close. when are u coming home?
from mercuryruled :
aww thanks for thinking of me. maybe i'll listen to pinback today. i'm never home, always at the boyfriends so i'm always around his music. but i'm home today. we should meet on aim like the good ol days.
from bonnylisbon :
Let's hope this is you coming around.

holy crap u have a lot of notes! well i just wanted to say Hello! hope u are doing well with your new fancy glasses!
from andthisair :
Last Days! My god, I feel the same way. I was expecting this beautiful movie, and a little bit into it I was hoping it would at least turn interesting, and then I pretty much gave up all hope. It ended and I just sat there stunned, because <i>that was it.</i> It was devoid of any and all emotion. It would have been better if he had just dropped the macaroni and cheese bowl, or slipped and fell on some of those leaves. THERE WAS NOTHING.

i forgot how much I loved reading yr diary entries. They rule my particular school. And yes, Maximo Park blows...
from dinosaurs :
well, i guess i could count on selling at least one ticket. unless it was a very expensive ticket, however, i don't think i'd recoup my expenses. creme brulee alone is quite pricey, not to mention hotel rooms.
from michaeljfox :
well you can write me an email oppositeofgreg@yahoo.com emails are better, maybe? yeah.
from sunkship :
ha. it worked.
from sunkship :
i'm gonna cry. your diary is just a blank page to me. this is frustrating. i'm using ie 6.0 and xp. whyyyy.
from orchidprint :
and your photography...
from orchidprint :
wow, that is just so nice of you. i would also like to add that you have an excellent taste in music.
from michaeljfox :

from sunkship :
who are you. this is hanged. i don't know why but your diary won't load but i fell in love with almost every single diary on your friends list. thank you for that. now i want to read your words.

Hey Tiff, Thanks for the note! Are things going well in Brighton? (Brighton, right?) I hope you're happy there; even if you do miss home some :) Since you spoke of not wasting myself, I thought I'd tell you that I'm going to college! I'm applying to quite a few colleges in the Boston area. I had to go take the SAT and everything. It feels kinda weird cause I'm wicked old(twenty-fucking-five!!), but it's something that I've always known I needed to do. Anyway, I probably should have just sent you an email, but, oh well. Take care! --Josh
from longitude :
i see and i see and i want to see more. to know more. i have been here ...
from gallinula :
You've got my thumbs, dude. Now if only you would be so kind and do the same for me, as it's nearing the month when the winners of the fellowship which I applied for are announced. Take care, be well.
from mercuryruled :
oh and like i've said one million times, you fucking rock. your poetry is amazing. i wish u could step inside me and put my life into your words. i would like that.
from mercuryruled :
where r U? i'm here. i miss you. i miss having a complete stranger that i could tell anything to and that would help me with problems. you are a stranger to me and a friend. i suppose all friends are that to some extent. ohhh now i'm being all deep!
from dixiewhiskey :
it is nice to know I can inspire. life's familiar patterns have brought me back here. it is good to be writing more.
from strayrecluse :
oh comely is my favourite neutral milk hotel song. other than "in the aeroplane over the sea." just because that one has way too many memories attached to it.
from mercuryruled :
i'm so happy for u. and so envious. and i miss u online. good luck with everything. the thought of your life makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. guess i'm a romantic at heart
from exitfish :
thanks for all your kind notes. they mean an awful lot. i hope your trip and your wedding and your move all go as well as can be. but i've always found that no matter what happens, if i'm with someone i love more than anything, nothing so terrible can happen at all. -m.

Good, good, good! I am happy for you.

from ashahands :
It sounds like you have the major things out of the way. Good luck with all of your planning. I'm sure you've been to it, but I found theknot.com to be a major help.
from ashahands :
Oh that's great! I'm getting married June 25th of this year. Kind of hectic at the moment as our photographer just dropped out, so we're desperate to find another. I spent some time studying in England (London primarily), though I did spend many weekends in Brighton. What a fun, quirky kind of place. My fiance and I were incredibly broke and we decided to drop 5p in a slot machine on that seedy pier and ended up scoring 40 quid! It was great. Anyway, keep up the great entries and if you ever have to vent out wedding stuff or want to talk music, drop me a note. Cheers!
from ashahands :
Just writing to say hi and that I really enjoy your diary (Plus you have great taste in music). When are you marrying and moving to England? Cheers.
from sadgreeneye :
Hey Tiffany, I had a great New Year! Man, it was my third New Year's Eve in Boston...kinda crazy. My email is jpburney@netzero.net...lay it on me!

from sadgreeneye :
Oh my God, Tiffany. If you get a chance, or think about it, tell Nicole how sorry I am. If I had more than $8 to my name, I'd send her some flowers. Oh, I feel so bad for her. Thanks --Joshua

from sadgreeneye :
Yeah, what a bummer, eh? I just wish people would take the time to educate themselves about what's going on. Although, I find it hard to hold a grudge against people who honestly believe they are doing the right thing. I don't know. I can't believe people actually tried to run you off the road....damn. I'm glad I made it to Boston. Alright, I'll shutup now. Take care --Joshua
from raven72d :
Thursday's entry with the photo of the empty bed-- beautiful and brilliant.
from bedazzledman :
of course. i wrote that in a fit of rage. and i know people will continue to fight. i just hope for all our sakes that we dont see the first 'dirty' bombs begin to appear in our major cities. 9-11 part two is just around the corner... and it may hit my country... it may hit my daughter... and that's the fault of politicians like bush & bliar (sic) - and i voted for blair.. so what does that tell me...
from bedazzledman :
i've new pix. buzz me if u wanna see. hope you are well :)

from myownjourney :
Thanks for the note. I'm sorry you didn't read all of it because I think it explained a lot of the problems you have with my beliefs. As far as my readers are concerned, a lot of them think along the same lines you do so they might actually agree with you. I don't think that a country should be run by one persons individual belief either. I think if society as a whole deems something unhealthy or immoral then the majority opinion should rule. You said something along the lines that so long as people do things that don't harm others then it should be accepted. Harm is a very subjective term. And I think that's where a lot of people get thier misunderstanding from. For me, federally recognized gay marriage validates it as an acceptable lifestyle - I can't stop what happens in private bedrooms nor would I want to, but there are alot of things people do in their bedrooms that i don't want my goverment validating as morally acceptable - (Some people have multiple partners at a time or other "creatures" involved for instance ) You are right in saying you won't sway my mind and I certainly wouldn't presume that I could sway yours, but I would hope that because there is a disagreement on issues that that wouldn't close your mind entirely to a person. My friends are varied and come from a lot of different viewpoints. Some of them along the far left view and some way beyond the far right. And we all get along and respect each other for the most part. My views are not any less valid or correct than yours and vice versa - they are just different.
from myownjourney :
Thanks for the note. The banner your refferring to was from this entry: http://myownjourney.diaryland.com/eleven.html - it pretty much cracked me up at the time and I think it makes for a good banner - and an explanation in general on my feelings about gays is pretty much summed up here: http://myownjourney.diaryland.com/103.html - I would go in to explanation here but I know that can get annoying. Anyway, have a good day and take care - Rick

Did I really write that? Well, far be it from me to have total Diaryland entry recall. . . thanks, though. Hey, those were some decent Calexico pics. . . were those snapshots you actually took, or stills from the DVD? And hey, since your taste in music somewhat mirrors mine, may I be so bold as to suggest going to tgrec.com and checking out that new Pinback "Fortress" mp3 just sitting there waiting for your approval? It's true--that damn song does sound like all the equally random and beautiful parts of summer compressed into four minutes. Take care, be well.

What makes Dallas "up there" is a small town outside of Corpus. There isn't much good around here, but still, at least there are plenty of unfiltered night skies, no sodium or hydrogen taking up whole parts of what you see (though of course those two have their own amazing beauty to them, at just the right times). Never snowed since you've taken root there, uh? Well, I remember it seemed pretty close to it while I was on some Greyhound layover. I saw chains on cop tires, hearing them tear up much of the gravel, so clueless as how to drive on that ice.
from raven72d :
The "Redness" photo is so haunting...very much a girl I'd like to find on my porch on a winter's morning...
from bonnylisbon :
Remember Allen Ginsberg? Did you ever hear that song he did (he could write songs, and sing as well... the bastard!) called, "Don't Smoke?" "don't smoke, don't smoke, don't smoke that nicotine is so obscene, smoke weed, smoke weed, smoke weed!" Though smoking can LOOK terribly sexy sometimes Ms. Sleepystorm, IT WILL FORCE YOU TO DIE A HORRIBLE DEATH...one day.
from gallinula :
Wow, thank you. I'm grateful for anything remotely dignifying applied to how I portend. So is it already snowing up there in Dallas?
from outoftune :
Asdfjkl!!!
from outoftune :
Hey, Donald Trump, spend wisely. I mean, give the escorts a rest for one weekend, geez. I'm out.
from outoftune :
Bastards! Can NOTHING stop these rabid Bush supporters?!? If only I hadn't left the watch in my jeans when I did laundry that Superman's pal, Jimmy Olsen, gave me..... On a more serious note: if they take mugshots? Yours is going in my wallet.
from outoftune :
And you remind me of Lois Lane. Except, you know, hotter & more artsy. Also, that thing you do with spit bubbles. Lois Lane never did that. What?

You keep posting so fast? You're going to give some poor epileptic an attack.

from outoftune :
That would be the one I posted to Ms. Recluse's notes, yep. Anyone ever tell you that you're sort've handy to have around? Hmmm, I wonder why not.....

I've got just one thing to say to you: Emily.

from outoftune :
Good. When the train comes? Just hold me tight, ok? Jerk.
from outoftune :
You're better off w/o 'im. I mean, that hair? Those baggy eyes? And Freddie the Flute was so, you know, gay for Jimmy? It's all tragically phallic and complicated. Um, unless you're talking about something else?

"Because it's almost Fall, finally." Is my favorite entry you've EVER DONE EVER. I cannot explain my obsession with Autumn, nor do I care to, but thank you for that entry.

you know, sometimes i just want to riddle. to hide from the things i can't speak out loud, to hide from the things i feel, the words i taste in my mouth. you know, sometimes emptiness is good, makes you feel easier, but most times it just wears me down. slowly. some times more than others. you know, i used to give hell a name. i used to give my life away. to someone who needed it. i used to change, to take it all with me. because i had to. because i had no choice, because there seemed to be some kind of weird power above us. controlling our lives. you know, i am a stranger in my own world, and right now, i am this old strange soul in my own body. i can fight, and struggle, a scream, gasp for air, risk a grip, but i cant win. i never will. but the sad thing is that IF i do, one day, it would mean that dont mean to me the things you do now. and you know, i love you. xo

from outoftune :
Last night, during the VP debate? When Edwards revealed that Cheney voted against Meals-on-Wheels for the elderly? How shocking was that? And that he voted -vs- Head Start, for crying out loud? Well, it figures. But? I had some time to do some research (hey, it's the Internet) and it seems that Dick Cheney also voted against: hip-hop. And P. Diddy is still pissed. And Happy Meals, super-sized fries & when's the last time you got a 39 cent taco? That's right, thanks, Mr. Vice President. Oh, and he voted -vs- piercings, tattoos & PVC outfits. I heard? I dunno if it's true? That he was thinking of voting -vs- Jeff Tweedy... He also cast votes -vs- Elmer's glue, dumpster diving, roadtrips over 300 miles, manual typewriters, polaroid photographs, Marvel Comics, hair pins, cheap dark sunglasses, Olympic women's gymnastics, Starbucks, thrift stores, Chinese paper lanterns, Salvadore fucking Dali, poetry, skinny girls, fresh fruit, good Tex-Mex, spinning rings, Nirvana, the Internet AND love. In light of all this, I just don't see how you can continue to support the bastard? Freedom Nazi.

Hey? Quit playing sick. Unless, you know, you're really sick. In which case, eat soup? Geographically speaking, that's all I got.
from split-ink :

from outoftune :
Scabs can be fun. Too?
from outoftune :
Chipmunk faces. That's how. I was expecting: nudity. I was prepared for: something sick/ill. I anticipated: evidence of drunkeness. How the hell was I to know you were doing Warner Bros. Cartoon karaoke with the Gay American Youth of Los Oogles Rehabilitation & Detention Services (G.A.Y.L.O.R.D.S.)? Nope, no way to really get yourself ready for that.....
from outoftune :
I think I just snorted coffee thru my nose. Ass.
from cowboyneal :
You are so right its crazy. Every song on the whole disk is like three minutes.
from bonnylisbon :
I am under the impression that you going to that concert couldn't have happened to a better person, you of all gals deserve it, I'm sure of it. I'm glad to hear it was so FUCKING amazing. I loved loved loved the pictures as well. Can you imagine what a goddamn genius Thurston and Kim's little Coco Gordon is going to be??? Some kids have all the luck...

from outoftune :
Quit biting my style, jerkface. There's not enough [pick a poison] in the world to deal with that. Hey? Make my phone ring this weekend. No, it's not a dare.
from outoftune :
Dreams -vs- reality: there's an interesting minor phenomenon that occurs not half a block away @ sunset. As the sun begins to go down, blackbirds begin to circle the spire of the United Methodist Church on Dickson Street, spiraling, till they become a dense cloud, circling, pinwheeling, turning. I stood within the magic circle last night, wondering if I might feel something, a little tingle, whatever it might be that draws them there @ the end of each day to race with each other in the closing light. Nothing. I felt exactly nothing, though I'm hardly immune to habit or know nothing of being drawn by the unseen. And, then, today? Standing in the bottom of a concrete stairwell outside the leaves begin to stir and the trash and leaves turned into a whirlwind that tried to swallow me. Nothing, again. Like, I would give anything to be swallowed, you know? Because I'm always good for pointless stories and random [blank]s. Dreams -vs- spirals. It's hard to know, with either one, where they begin & end, huh?
from outoftune :
Gee, lemme see here: 1) unpack, check 2) take a shower (see "funk, removal of"), check 3) check messages/e-mail/snail mail, check 4) verbally abuse Dennis, checkcheckcheck. I mean, I was #4, right? PS: I'm all enameled* with your words, too. But mostly the pictures. Something to do with my ability to process information these days? Right-oh. *Don't fucking tell me who to be enamored with, this is AMERICA, goddammit.
from bonnylisbon :
Is everything ok with you? You haven't updated in a while... I hope you're well.
from sparklytears :

from decemberguy :
Don't forget Sloan and Ryan Adams..and the Pixies.
from bonnylisbon :
It would mean a whole lot to me if you sent me an e-mail about my last diary. It's kind of a lonely subject, I think about it quite often, but really can't talk about it much, you know? My e-mail is tina_vasquez230@hotmail.com I'm looking forward to it. I only check my e-mail about once a week at a library, so be patient, I'll write back for sure though.
from raven72d :
"bury my love" and "only you know", I do believe...
from decemberguy :
I didn't know youza going to ACL. I will definitely hang out with you there..
from bedazzledman :
well darnit - just as it was gettin interstin...
from outoftune :

from bedazzledman :

from cowboyneal :
It does make sense. And I do agree. For me at the moment though, its the perfect cd for my mood. But it does leave me waiting for that secret track or something to reassure me.
from longitude :
you + me = danger. but the good kind of course. oh girl... you make me blush with your flattery. and i do so love your polaroids. let's take over the world.
from bedazzledman :
is anyone interested in a 3some? my diary has had it's sexy moments too y'know!
from bonnylisbon :
Well Ms Sleepystorm, if you'd make out with my diary, I'd make mad, passionate love to yours... if I could.
from mercuryruled :
OPPS i keep leaving notes in your "other" diary. the old one. pillow butt head. or something. ps. i got a kitten. awww
from bonnylisbon :
Oh I sincerely meant it, you are truly talented.
from bedazzledman :
tsk. you will have to stop leaving me notes, else i'll begin to suspect that i'm interesting. and then there wil be no stopping my ego! :D
from bedazzledman :
well you started it! :D
from bedazzledman :
that's the sweetest thing anyone has said to me in a long long time. awwwwwwwwww! xxx
from bedazzledman :
so not true. if i could write 5% of the qulaity that you do, i'd feel i was a genius. so there. and make sure you do look me up. else there will be trouble!
from bedazzledman :
hahah - that was a drunken entry :) and i can't believe you came to the uk and didn't look me up! next time or else! xxx
from bonnylisbon :
I'm sorry if I ever offended you by asking about Jeff. I just wanted to catch up and tell you that I love your diary, and I must look at it everyday because I know the chances of me seeing something as beautiful on the city streets are slim to none.
from longitude :
you're my sleepy storm. your words pull at me. and your images linger long after i leave my desk. ♥
from bedazzledman :
your last entry. fucking unbelievable. gosh.
from raven72d :
What's the backstory on Longitude? What's her bio?
from bedazzledman :
ok - updated :) Mx
from bedazzledman :
awwwwwwwwwwwww... well i guess that i've now got a jolly good reason to apply myself more often. *blush* @ attention
from bedazzledman :
well i think i might.. wasnt going to - but then thought - why not? missed talking to you y'know... i've been kinda lax...
from candoor :
one day i hope to read them all, but I enjoy the ones I read... continue :)
from saltyrain :
miss you hon. xo
from bonnylisbon :
Oh don't apologize, it was a rude and intrusive question for me to ask. I guess I should've explained myself. I don't mean, neccessarily "romantic" love, Jeff could be your brother for all I know. I just think that when people take pictures of people they care a great deal about... it comes across, do you know what I mean? The love and affection comes across, the pictures seem more intimate. The portraits of that Jeff boy gave me that feeling.
from raven72d :
Neutral Milk Hotel is an intriguing name...
from saltyrain :
*hmpfh* i tell you my love and you call me TURD!?... alright. :-(
from raven72d :
I'm looking forward to the book... I've always enjoyed house-sitting... And whatever *does* Neutral Milk Hotel sound like?
from exitfish :
thanks for the note you left, it means a lot. also, i think sleepystorm is one of the best diary names ever.
from saltyrain :
so do i.
from mercuryruled :
i love u.
from bonnylisbon :
Ok, firstly, I love your photographs, I really really do. They are beautiful. And your words of course are equally as breath taking. And lastly, who is Jeff? Do you love him?
from raven72d :
Let me know when you ship my prints off... And do tell me the story-- in the two prints I ordered...what is the girl thinking of? What's she seeing?
from raven72d :
I'll look for an ES album or two... I appreciate the recommendation!
from radio-cure :
I don't check my notes as often as I should. But thank you for yours. Yes, Wilco is a gem and it's great to hear other people agree! Keep in touch -Britt
from raven72d :
Elliott Smith... Alas-- I've never heard anything by him. I tend to avoid all male vocalists except Leonard Cohen, Bryan Ferry, and Duran Duran. Though I do recall Eric Anderson's "Ghosts Upon the Road"...
from mercuryruled :
i miss u.
from recieveher :
so, the word on the street is that brithdays are pretty equatable with crap.
from recieveher :
t, i want you to write. i want to hear you in new ways. i don't want to make you think you should push something out, but don't keep anything in. -j
from raven72d :
"Bury My Love" and "Only You Know"... Can I get 8 x 10s of them?
from recieveher :
don't stop.
from raven72d :
Glad to have you back, then... I did respond to your e-mail, too...
from raven72d :
I hope I'll stay on your favorites list even as a male. I used to shoot lots of architectural photos in infrared color film through a yellow filter. You'd get building and landscapes in magentas and teals... I'd shoot old cemeteries and get streaks of magenta where shadows and moisture lay on stone...
from recieveher :
that letter you sent, yesterday. i never got it. i promise we'll meet sometime. (probably, the middle of august)
from raven72d :
I wanted to commend you on having better than a thousand entries... But I have to make one comment here. Thank you vur' much for adding me as a favorite, but...if one more lovely girl mistakes my vur' heterosexual and male self for a "smart woman" I'm likely to take my katana and charge headlong into a crowd, screaming "Male, dammit! Male!" and slashing indiscriminately. I admire smart girls (never "women"..."women" are Grown-Ups) and find them alluring. But I'm quite male.
from raven72d :
I really only have access to AIM at work... but do feel free/invited to e-mail me.
from raven72d :
I never believed in God-- I lack the emotional ability to believe. But I do look for kinds of beauty and gentleness...in both the world and in the imagination.
from raven72d :
I never spoke with God, but I did speak to voices in the twilight... Why did you and God part ways?
from raven72d :
Good music: Marianne Faithfull, "Dangerous Acquaintances", "A Child's Adventure"...
from raven72d :
Excellent song choice.
from raven72d :
You do write things worth reading. Your photos are well worth viewing and commenting on.
from raven72d :
I will be reading here often.
from recieveher :
t, i think i will disappoint you when we meet. my lips are thin. my voice is harsh, or casual as defense. i am hardly ever open. who know, maybe this is different? but still, i am not poetry in motion. i am fully human.
from raven72d :
Incredibly beautiful bending-light photos... The portraits are haunting. And the entries... Girl, your writing will stay with me on grey Southern evenings... I'll be here often.
from candoor :
still...
from recieveher :
what can i offer you but thanks. you give me peace and i can only offer what i have, in its own way - nothing.
from sadgreeneye :
Hey, I forgot to get back with you.. My site is www.causewaystudios.com. I had written out a big long note before, but it didn't save it and I didn't want to write it again. Anyway, let me know what you think of the site. I really love your site, and I'm gonna add it to my links.. Nice choice on the opening picture...very cool. Anyway, I'll talk to you later.. --Joshua
from brutalyoga :
(and, if you like the tweedy stuff, have you seen a movie called chelsea walls? it is directed by ethan hawke.. dont be scared. good, good stuff there, in that movie)
from brutalyoga :
you live in dallas? texas? i figure that if you were in your wee teens, maybe thirteen.... when you liked elliot smith first, that is, when his first album came out, you are about 22?
from brutalyoga :
they sound like equal splashes of wilco and elliot smith, with a slight dash of pete yorn. three hints of the microphones. (i'm just being a snob... they are really really great, i think. the whole album is about many of the bittersweet aspects of war, and of being away.)
from brutalyoga :
i am in retail, but in music retail. so i get nice promos sometimes. have you heard of a band called sleep station? they have a new one out/will have a new one out soon... its called after the war. it is really amazing stuff. so, there ya go.
from dixiewhiskey :
"i am praying for this to be the last time that i have to forget you." damn, that sounds familiar to my own thoughts.
from bedazzledman :

from brutalyoga :
have you checked out the american analog set, or magnetic fields, or sondre lerche?
from sadgreeneye :
Damn, I left you a note but it didn't save it. Did you get it??
from decemberguy :
It's not that it's different..I was expecting that..Ii guess Im just not really hearing the lyrics yet. And Tweedy, when he's on, is one of the great lyricists..I'm still giving it time though."Holy shit..got a company in my back!!"
from decemberguy :
So far..not as strong..song for song as YHF..but I love Spiders(kidsmoke)..might be the best driving song I've heard in a long long time. Tweedy rules on guitar..
from mercuryruled :
what kind of weirdo place do u work?!
from recieveher :

from mercuryruled :

from outoftune :
Money-shot. And that's the last piece of free advice you're ever getting from me. PS: good luck with the arraignment. Let me know if you need help making bail.
from outoftune :
You realize that you're just one genetic trait from being: a) a religious fundamentalist b)an incumbent Presidential candidate or c) Pam Anderson, right? Alright, we're cool, then.
from outoftune :
Apply pressure. It usually stops the bleeding. Asspirate.
from bedazzledman :

from sadgreeneye :
Hey! that's cool. I didn't know you were getting a site! I'm actually getting a photography website set up this Saturday or Sunday. A friend of a friend does hosting and he's gonna set it up for me. I haven't reserved the username, but I'll let you know what it is and then I can link to you too. I was so excited for you when Nicole told me about the whole London thing. She's been kinda fuzzy on the details(perhaps at your request), but you gotta tell me!! Send me an email jpburney@netzero.net if you can, or want to. Anyway, I'll talk to you soon. bye --Joshua

A beautiful mind forever remaining. / I wish I could name a star with your name, hidden but light, and full of pride. xo

from bluestarhalo :
Well, bah. I had a great comment written in your comments box and it told me you didn't have an account to host them. Gah, I tell you. Anyway, beautiful entry T. You always make me breathless. Like I've just run uphill and realized everything is beautiful still, even the blood rushing through my veins... that is to say, you remind me of life.

from mydilution :
Thanks, but can I ask why? I can't really help but wonder. And I've only read a couple of your entries so far, but what I have read is beautiful....

from outoftune :
The worst thing about falling to earth isn't the landing. Hope you're better than well.
from lightfallsup :
"and we sat on our own star and dreamed of the way that we were, the way that we wanted to be. we sat on our own star and dreamed of the way that i was for you and you were for me. then we longed to dance the night away, turn to each other saying i love you"
from bedazzledman :
i like this: i heard you speak in the night, voice across miles. shall i turn on the light to destroy this moment?

from mercuryruled :
in a way i wish i could have stayed there forever
from bedazzledman :
I've read and re-read your comment. and then i read it again. and i think that has to rate as one of the nicest things that anyone has ever said to me. and i want to echoe your praise... right back at you... you have a gift for writing. when i read your words i see your soul. and i almost deleted that last line, because it sounds twee and over-used... but it stands... because the simplicity of the statement indicates it's inherant truth. and your latest entry is so sad it makes me want to hug a stranger that i've never met... and tell her that it will be ok... promise...
from sleepystorm :
(recieveher..i cant leave you a note in response, so this will have to do)...ive read it. she was a brilliant writer. brilliant. but ive always preferred anne sexton to sylvia. something about her words speaks to me a lot more. but youre right, yes, that is an amazing book. x
from recieveher :
i read the bell jar for the first time in my life. sylvia plath could be the crest on my chest. you should read it.
from lovetotrust :
no iron and wine wrote it, the postal service covered it, not the other way around. and thank you for your such encouraging comments.
from bluestarhalo :

from decemberguy :
I just wanted you to know, that I loved your entry today. You're an amazing writer(not that you probably don't already know that). Im listening to Golden Smog's "Weird Tales" and I thought I might hip you to it, as Mssr. Tweedy's best songs(imo)lie here..
from sampsman :
thanks for the suggestions T, I will definately look into Evan Dando since both of you recommend it, as well as Iron and Wine (I think you told me about it months ago, but I seem to have forgotten) Have yourself a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. - Jason
from bluestarhalo :
That was a beautiful entry today, my love. And I know exactly how you feel. Oh, this is Tuesday the 18th by the way. Stupid guestbook.com. I say we start a new country and find guestbooks that actually work.
from bluestarhalo :
Hugs. Listening to Ryan Adams always reminds me of you, T. Isn't that odd? I always think of driving through Texas, with the sun shining through some blonde person's hair... the mind is a weird and wild thing.
from cowboyneal :
you my friend. Sorry no contact in long time. boredom owns me, you = pretty things. wes
from decemberguy :
Well it's kind of a contemporary southern gothic romance, which I think you'd dig..but also..the writing in the movie is markedly similar to your own.
from decemberguy :
Have you seen "All the Real Girls"? I believe you would adore it..
from decemberguy :
Have you seen "All the Real Girls"? I believe you would adore it..
from bare-my-soul :
i so enjoy your writing! thank you love rose
from decemberguy :
I wish people would write about me, the way you write about other people. In a word, inspiring.
from sleepystorm :
note. i like notes. i decided that if i write myself a note, that its like leaving myself little post-it notes lying about. not with "to-do" things written down, just funny little thoughts, tragic thoughts, lovely thoughts, sexy thoughts, whatever thoughts. its either some really profound gesture on my part (though, it isnt really profound at all) or its a really delerious thought due to utter lack of sleep & nutrition. i select the latter. thank you & goodnight, sleepystorm. sleepy indeed. x
from outoftune :
Nuh uh. Tomaz Salad-what?
from sadgreeneye :
Wow, Tiffany, what the hell am I supposed to say to that? Thanks for what you said. I miss you too. You're so right about Wildflowers :) Ya know, not many things in this world get better with age(as much as we'd like to believe that WE do) but the more I watch Beautiful Girls, the better it becomes. I could totally understand how someone could watch it and be like, "that movie sucked," but it makes me feel a certain way, speaks to me, if you will, and I love it. Sorry about you and Jeff; I know it must hurt like hell. If it makes you feel any better, I'll tell you a short story. Remember when Coleman and I saw you guys at Romano's Macaroni Grill a couple years ago, and you and Jeff were sitting at a table near the aisle; and we stopped and talked to you guys for a minute? Well, as soon as we walked away, Coleman said, "She's waaaaay too hot for him." So, see, you're beautiful! Presto, pain is gone, right?? I'm sorry, I'm lame, I know. So, come and see me, ok? You and Nicole need to just DO IT! You'd love Boston; it's so the antidote to Dallas. So, anyway, just so you know; moving halfway across the country changes everything, except you. I have three of these moves under my belt, and no amount of moving has changed ME the way I had hoped it would. So, move if you want to, it's one of the greatest experiences you can have, and it's only scary until you do it. Ok, enough of that crap. Don't worry about the book; I was just giving you hell about it. Whenever you get them together is fine. I'd give $100 to have your neurotic, ADD poster-girl ass at my desk right now making me laugh, and getting all randy when you see Vladamir in his french-cuff shirts. :) Love ya Tiffany. --Joshua
from cowboyneal :
I had steak tonight again. And bought some of those new Star Wars toys. Yoda has always been my role model.
from lightfallsup :
what does "ten dollars for a dose of intrigue" mean?
from mercuryruled :
did u mail the manuscript or did both ends of the trade get lost?
from decemberguy :
Glad to see you like Bettie Serveert. Their version of "Ill Keep It With Mine"(I believe its on one of those tapes I sent you) is more brilliant than words can express. They are a great band, and you, my friend, have great taste.
from decemberguy :
have been enjoying your words as of late.
from mercuryruled :
receive any cds yet?
from mercuryruled :
well why'd u go and move on me anyway? :)
from mercuryruled :
uh oh. well maybe u'll get them or i'll get them back and can send them to your new address
from mercuryruled :
um....well hopefully the cds will be forwarded to your new address...u put a change of address form at the post office i assume?
from mercuryruled :
your cds are in the mail as of today. :)
from theredarmy :
On vinyl, I only have Elf Power and Erase Errata. Also, (but not on vinyl) Echo and the Bunnymen, Eleventh Dream Day, Enon, EPMD, the Ex, the Ex-Models. The Electric Eels, but I don't own any. Brian Eno.
from lightfallsup :

from open-throat :

from mercuryruled :

from mercuryruled :
glad i could make u smile
from mercuryruled :

from mercuryruled :

from open-throat :

from sadnow :
Your writing is absolutely brilliant. You are truly a great writer <3<3 -Carrie
from bluestarhalo :
that was the most beautiful thing you have EVER written, the man in ocean post. You should try to get that published.. I thought i was going to roll down and see it quoted by someone else, but I should have known it was your brilliance.
from sampsman :
Just wanted to say hi T. Thanks for your continued pursuit in writing on these here webpages. Talk with you in a few.
from bluestarhalo :
Oh T.. that was bloody brilliant. When you book time on the Daily Show, let me know. I'll be your back up. :)
