| I guess you are caught in a little cross-cultural dilemma. I guess you need to realize that even if you don't think of yourselves as rich, that is what you are. You are, and that is how the others see you. I would go to the shower (unless you have the baby first) since they want to do that for you. But I also think you should feel good about your church, so you should see if there are other options. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I know living in Hawaii can have its social challenges. I guess no place is perfect! |

| Hi Amy!!!!! Its Heather Hicks :) Thank you so much for the flowers you sent!! They were beautiful and it really meant a lot to me. Thanks for being so thoughtful. I can't believe Mom died. I'm still in shock. I miss her so much...She is in Heaven holding my brothers baby Mikalyn. Sorry I have done such a terrible job of keeping in touch!!! We have been moving around so much and with my health its hard to get stuff done. But we are finally settled and I would love to keep up with all that is going on with you! Wow!! I can't believe you are having your fifth baby!! My hats off to you!!! I tried to look at the pictures but I couldn't get it to work--I'll try again later. I would love to see pics of your kidos!!! Once we get back home I will try to write more stuff on my site....I have a blog site at myspace.com under the name Malaika Hicks if you want to check out some pictures--I have written some stuff but not much, I just started the site. I also have a photography site--I have really gotten into photography-- the site is Rescue-Photography.ifp3.com It is so neat to be able to read about what has been going on with you--I'll read more of your stuff when I get a chance. | You should check out Terri at irisheyes70. She has five kids too, and wrote similar things while pregnant with the 5th. She lives in Alaska, and homeschools. One busy lady, and a great mom. |
