Wow, that's great news on both counts. How did you get them to dismiss the case? Was it just by paying the rent? Did the tenants in the NY house leave or pay up? Oh yeah, and I'm telling you, the too poor to buy food diet has always worked great for me too! When I was first separated, I was so poor that I got down to 110-115 lbs, which has been my lowest weight in all of my adult years. Of course now that finances aren't so bad, I'm having to show self-restraint... oh man, so apparently it's not all about having the right metabolism, it has to do with how much food you eat! ;-)

Don't you love hate mail? It gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling inside when you know that there are people out there dumber than you. I am kidding. :-) The thing that makes me wonder is that these people say the same thing over and over again: don't you support our TROOPS?! Blah! It's the same old propoganda to keep the President and Congress from ever having to answer for their distortions that have lead us to War in Iraq while ignoring countries like Iran, North Korea, and other countries that have since expressed a desire for nuclear proliferation - AND from ignoring the gradual downfall of the U.S's infrastructure, especially now that China is starting to eclipse our demand for the world's oil. Any stupid debate that they can come up with, they'll use to get the attention off of the genuine problems facing our country! Ignorance is bliss, and there's a lot of happy people in America these days, I think. But pretty soon, certain issues will be hard to ignore anymore. Want to ignore global warming? Well, it will become a problem eventually. That's when we'll start worrying about problems... when they reach a crisis proportion. It's nothing new - it's just the same old song and dance we've always done before. *ahem* /end rant ;-)

I have two kids - 4 and 8. If it came down to the difference between them cutting themselves (when they are obviously unstable and a genuine danger to themselves) and getting hit with 50,000 volts, I'll take the 50,000 volts. And my daughter would be only so lucky to get away with such a gentle punishment if I found out she'd been out drinking and swimming when she should have been in school.

With all due respect, You might just be the most paranoid man in the history of the world. I know bush is not the best (or worst) president in history, but the man did not CONDONE any hijackings, much less allow the hijackers to kill 3000+ people. I am a pilot for the US Army. I was flying in NYC airspace in a small cessna when the second plane flew UNDER me about 6 miles south of the towers. I know from being a pilot that you are never to put anyone's life in danger if there is any way to avoid it. Man, it was anti-American extremists, not Bush. That would be like you allowing the execution of your family just so you could get your face on the news. It just dosen't pass the common sense test. I knew a lot of people from Cantor-Fitzgerald, all gone now. Bush isn't the guy who killed them. I know that you need answers to your questions of loss (as I have also) But you have directed your efforts into trying to make political sense out of a personally unavoidable trajedy. Think realistically- How can a guy condone the deaths of thousands of people just for kicks? I may not love the guy, but I know that he is American enough to have senseless killing be incompatible with his set of morals. Keep Fighting, but make sure you're not fighting the wrong people. B.] our armed forces lives lost - they volunteered for the job and knew what was at stake when they committed. they died for a noble cause, knowing it might happen. i don't feel like typing any more, but i just wanted you to know that you all should really find a new hobby outside of bashing your own country's fight in this war on terrorism. we could always hand everybody a flower, smile, and walk off if you like...but then again, you know we'd get shot if we turn our backs on them. and we won't do that because NOW, my dear example of ignorance, we DO have palpable evidence. now we know, and now we are doing something about it.

Those are all just questions and of course I've heard them all before. The thing you have missed are the answers. Accusing someone of something is one thing. And something like 9/11 happens so fast, you don't know what you're supposed to do, and often, looking back in hindsight, you then see that you could have done things better. But I think your accusations are a little harsh and undersupported, personally, and I'll leave it at that.

What I don't get is how you can think that just because you were in the WTC on 9/11 that the government must have had something to do with the attacks. I think it's ridiculous that you think the government planned this all - like they wanted to kill us or something. We must not allow the elections to be postponed. After 9/11, Americans prided themselves on their ability to go on being American despite terrorism. Remember all that "America open for business" and "If you give up, the terrorists have won" stuff? But apparently, there's a double standard when it comes to the vital institution of elections. Postponing the elections will be the most dangerous precedent of all. In the name of "security", it will only be a few more steps till democracy itself is abolished as a security risk.

Isn't it ridiculous? It's really just a way of trying to cover their own butts. This way, if something happens, they can say they warned people. As for an attack happening before the election, those terrorists would have to be STUPID to do that if they mean to throw George Bush out, because Americans generally don't ditch presidents in the middle of a major crisis. If they want Kerry in there, they'll leave everything alone, because George Bush's approval ratings are slipping, one disillusioned voter at a time.

update April 6, 2020: Sorry, we just had 8+ hours downtime due to a server problem. Restoring from backups took soooo long, but everything is back and no data was lost. Ay yay yay! Anyhow, hope everyone is well with the virus stuff.
