It's me. I am found.
from catsoul :
On BB9 after dark, Jacob ex gets to come back into the house, so everyone, especially the women are so excited. There also seems to be four women who are starting to form a tight alliance. Thought I would share that with you. =^..^=
from catsoul :
Puppy pictures, don't you just melt. You have to look at boston terrier puppy pictures. Have a good day!! =^..^=
from catsoul :
Isn't it amazing that one day you sit and think and you realize that hey I have grown up! Good for you. Have a great week!! =^..^=
from in-my-life :
Wow! Now I know why you haven't Yahoo'd me back. I dunno what to say. All I can think of is "awwww man!!!" Call me if you want to escape to Austin or just to chat.
from murnshaw :
?!?! What? Why are you getting a divorce? Is everything alright? What's going on?
from forty-plus :
Happy New Year!
from forty-plus :
Thank you for my holiday card!
from sparkspark :
Montgomery Clift IS a weird-looking dude. Check him out in "Suddenly Last Summer," in which he is also so drunk that he can barely focus his eyes. He had a really bad car accident at one point, which rearranged his features. And there you have it. This has been Montgomery Clift Corner, with your host, Violet.
from sparkspark :
Thank you for the birthday wishes! I appreciate it, and look forward to CD madness. XOXO Violet
from dinahsoar :
Howdy, Tuff! I finally popped back into Diaryland and am having fun re-aquainting with buddies like you!
from forty-plus :
I just opened my mail and guess what I found?!?! I can't wait until Hubby leaves tomorrow morning so I can play my TWO new CDs really loud! Thanks so much, you are too nice.
from starlight42 :
I love kitty pics!! They are so handsome. Yikes about the butt worms. The vets here have stopped doing a lot of the routine checks. They used to clip their nails for you and stuff, dont' even bother anymore. If they'd have done that when I went, they'd have noticed all his bloody claws from trying to break out of the carrier! As for Big Brother- I know, I don't know who I want to win now. But every year I go back and forth, basically I always seem to root for the underdogs (although not last year!), so when the people in that position changes, like it normally does at least once, I find myself changing too. This year I wanted Janelle to win, now I'm debating about her and Will, because honestly Will and Boogie are such better players than her, she's so foolish when it comes to them!
from hitch-hike :
I was surprised to read about your family planning, but good luck with that! I guess the doctors said the medications wouldn't affect a pregnancy or baby. Keep us posted and again, best of luck!!!
from dinahsoar :
I am vicariously in every class you signed for. Strunk & White. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
from candoor :
Merry Happy New Year and hoping 2006 will not just be better, but may it be your best year ever :)
from sparkspark :
I received your most excellent package--thank you so much! It made me feel all Christmas-y. XO Violet
from starlight42 :
That was a great letter to Santa!
from clarity25 :
Oh my god! "The old man that could not read" was one of my favorite books as a child! reading that description brought back so many memories! I thought I was the only one that remembered that book!
from starlight42 :
OMG, that's scary!! When I was writing my entry, at the end I was actually going to add a few lyrics that I thought were seriously good. And when I started looking the first one I had written down was from Miracle!! The part where he says it's not fair when a man walks, when the birds can fly, we have to kick the ground, the stars kiss the sky...I LOVE that song!!! That's so crazy you posted lyrics from that song.
from geeked-out :
OOOH wait. I thought it was for a different entry. It was the Fabio thing. Totally my fault. I'm an idiot. Okay carry on with the Alan Rickman love. I'm sorry.
from geeked-out :
hmmmm I guess I am confusd by your comment then. Not like it's any big surprise I don't get something. I'm a little slow.
from geeked-out :
awww You don't like Alan Rickman?
from starlight42 :
Hey there- I have been seeing "guest entries" all over diaryland lately, and was thinking would be fun to do some in my diary. SO, was wondering if you'd be interested in doing one for me? Not sure how busy you are lately, but whatever day is good for you, either this weekend or next week. Let me know what you think :) Thanks!
from darkcircle :
I love your most recent entry! Sounds like my husband's entire side of the family! By the way, nice quote from Beck. I won a radio contest in 2000 and got to meet him, interview him live on the air, and won a camera and PRESS passes to shoot pics of him (to keep) right by the stage! He's really cool. And really small. He just oozes art. In case you wanted to know.
from ladybugge :
I downloaded the songs, and I really love them. So thank you for introducing me, I doubt I would have stumbled on them by myself.
from kstyle :
have you heard from k. maria? do you know what she's up to?
from dinahsoar :
Thank you so much for your note. Your prayers mean alot to me. Thanks for caring. I am doing much better. God is faithful!
from yeahimadork :
Dude. I tried TWICE to leave a comment, and it just took forever, and then AOL told me to kiss their ass and they weren't posting them. ANYHOO, here's my comment (though much less brilliant after having written it TWICE already): Vick's as lube makes me burn in bad places. And, since you asked, I am reading a book about the music scene in California in the 60's. Does it make me a weirdo that I like the fart-y smell broccoli fills my house with? I thought so.
from dinahsoar :
Missed you! Looking forward to the cyberglitch repair. We'll leave the light on for you!
from dinahsoar :
You are beautiful. Today's entry was childlike and enchanting. I feel like I know you. (Also, thank you so much for the note. I felt cherished).
from dinahsoar :
That candy looks so much cooler & more inviting than American boring-ass candy.
from dinahsoar :
I'll take that hug, thank you very much!
from yeahimadork :
Dude. Dixie. You have NO idea how retarded I feel for talking about that, not realizing that people might not have seen it. You're not the first person to let me know I ruined it. And what's worse, is I freakin hate when I read a magazine and they give away the ending. I'm so lame.
from dinahsoar :
Love the stream of consciousness mode! Very Joycian! "A knife, a fork, a bottle, a cork. That's the way to spell New York" is more Gertrude Stein (love it all!).
from dinahsoar :
Loved Whale Rider, too! I saw it at a retreat. We all sat on the floor in our socks & celebrated her triumph.
from dinahsoar :
Movies, reading, John Denver - what could be bad about that? I'm glad you're taking care of yourself. For me, grief is like an extended "staying home from school sick" in which I need to nurture myself with comfort food & everything that feels like a securtiy blanket.
from in-my-life :
I haven't been around in a while, but I'm so sad that this was the first thing I read. Hope you're doing ok. xoxoxo k
from starlight42 :
I'm so sorry to hear about your nana! my condolences ((hugs))
from dinahsoar :
I am so sorry. I'm sure that the wonderful qualities in your writing and life observations spring from her. You are in my prayers. (I won't be posting again until Friday, 7/22 because I will be away, but I will be thinking of you and how beautifully you shared your Nana with us).
from witchful :
I'm so sorry for your loss. :(
from starlight42 :
You're welcome! I am still debating what I will spend the Target gift card on...so many options!!
from dinahsoar :
Love the hair! What's wrong with your nose? No, really. What? You also happen to have beautiful eyes. But I digress. Your entries always make my day. Thanks!
from dinahsoar :
Wait ... whatdyamean you didn't link a "Read of the Day"? I thought I was your "Read 'O' Day"! Actually, today's entry was supposed to be alot longer, but my boss walked in. Oooops! Anyway, thanks!
from dinahsoar :
That was a beautiful tribute.
from dinahsoar :
I love your rainbow fro cuties! A rolling Dakota gathers Kate Moss.
from starlight42 :
I have to remember to watch Bravo tonight, this should be good! As for a mix CD, how about one with songs from movies? Like love songs, or upbeat songs etc?
from dinahsoar :
Thanks so much for your note. That is sincerely one of the best things anyone has ever said to me. I really appreciate it.
from dinahsoar :
I just figured out, too, that you can go an extra day without a shower. Saw Bewitched, too (see how much we have in common?) and I thought Will Farrel was a big dork, too. I thought he was miscast. I liked Nicole, but I just don't see her as his love interest. She's a good actress, but not THAT good. I loved Batman, too.
from darkcircle :
LOL! I knew when Effexor was working because I started actually venturing out to see people! Effexor=good! :) Yay for us!
from starlight42 :
Oh my god Dixie, I just got the gift card you sent me!! For some reason I can't find your email, my head is still spinning from last night. Anyway, you really shouldn't have! Oh my goodness, that was so kind of you to send that. At first Dave got it and he's like look, Target sent us a gift card! Then I looked at in a couple hours later and I'm like wait, that's not from Target! lol You really are so sweet for doing that. My goodness, now I've got to think of a good way to repay you. Take care and I'll talk to you after the honeymoon! Thanks so much again.
from dinahsoar :
I loved your chocolate fingers rant! It was great. Also, sorry I didn't answer your question. I actually considered answering it in the affirmative, but then I remembered my 'computer illiteracy' & wondered if I would be able to figure it all out. I would love to hear the music, though. I guess it's just a click away, right?
from dinahsoar :
Days? You lightweight, you (and here I thought you were Tuff)! I've gone decades without cooking and having cereal and bologna sandwiches for dinner.
from dinahsoar :
Saw a trailor for Dark Water & it looks intriguingly creepy, but what is that director's thing about water? Did you see The Grudge? Wasn't that the same guy? Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, all these movies lately dwell on the bizarre behavior of, yes, water.
from geeked-out :
umm I suppose I should learn English. SPANISH. That's better.
from geeked-out :
You are learning spansih right?
from dinahsoar :
I'm fascinated by Nicole, too, and I never quite understood why until I read your description. Did you see "Birth"? Extraordinarilyweirdiotica.
from dinahsoar :
Is Tom Cruise losin' it or what? He was stunningly intense in my favorite movie of ALL time, Magnolia (NOT the Steel kind) and, because of that, I am really predisposed to like him. But not only is he inhaling Holmes, he's trashing Brooke Shields because she took meds so she wouldn't off her baby due to post partum depression! I do think he's now doing 'missionary dating' to inrease the ranks of Scientology. Oh, and, P.S. Chuck's aunt better watch out or a house just might land on her!
from dinahsoar :
I, too, saw that pathetic show (although I didn't stick with it long enough to know who won). I now know why Flock of Seagulls wore all that hair! Yeah, his voice was sad. That's one of my favorite 80's songs, too. I'm also ashamed to say that I also loved Tiffany's "Lost In Your Eyes". I gave it to a boyfriend at the time & his roommate told me he was playing it over & over. Here I thought he was playing it and dreaming of me, but it turned out he worked in a store & was using it to test the tape players for customers.
from dinahsoar :
Damn, that's alot of stuff! Cool stuff, though! I especially resonate with the Joan Crawford collection (she is easily my favorite comedian - you forgot Berzerk, though, my personal fave) and the Brady Bunch, of course. And, as for eyebrow waxes, I'll all for them (I really believe that the course of Frieda Kahlo's destiny would have been different had she indulged in one). Happy Birthday!
from starlight42 :
Someone else was saying their domain name hasn't been working either. Andrew sucks ass. It's like he's dead or something, no one has heard from him. I wish I never renewed my gold, and I SURE won't after this year!! I posted a banner today, I need to use mine up. You'll recognize it- because I'm pretty straight up, it says, "I'm getting married in 2 weeks." Surprised no one has left a note yet like ya, who cares? lol
from starlight42 :
You're so silly, Monday in disguise! How true though...Yup, we're registered at Target. I love Target, they really have so much stuff, and the style is all us. Not too fancy, not too trashy ;)
from dinahsoar :
Does this mean you will NOT be attending the Aransas Pass 57th Annual Shimporee?
from dinahsoar :
Did I tell you I love how you thinka dinka do? And the fact that your favorite fruit is the much maligned marshmellow is beyond endearing!
from starlight42 :
That sucks about the concert :( I would have went with you!!
from dinahsoar :
You never cease to catch me offguard! I was reading what you said about people getting all bent out of shape about sex talk and I'm already thinking, Oh no ... you'd really hate me if you knew me and then you absolutely startle me with the confession that that is also YOU! You so completely rock with your well timed 'self busting' humor! Thanks!
from dinahsoar :
If I were anywhere near Austin, I'd be happy to join you for NIN. Thanks for making me 'Read of the Day'!
from dinahsoar :
Today's enttry was really fun (and I ain't just whistlin' Dixie)!
from starlight42 :
That's fun with the google!
from forty-plus :
I do not have the words to express my feelings when I just opened my mail to see what you have done in Jax's memory. You are kind and considerate and beyond wonderful. Thank you so much.
from chillier :
Okay, figured out the problem. I posted a new link. Let me know if it works, okay?
from chillier :
Hmm. And now am I perplexed by el-linko. Someone else accessed it alright...I wonder what the dealio is? Anyway, you can search for it under my name, which is Carly Hillier, or umm...I dunno. Maybe the link only works for people who don't have their own wish lists? I'll look into it.
from yeahimadork :
The Kaiser Chiefs record is GREAT. Because I am such a 80's new wave/synth pop whore, I am excited by a lot of the bands out today (or the "new New Wave" as the dickhead media likes to call them). And, I typed "chefs" originally, too. Heh. On a similar note, every single time (EVERY DAMN TIME) I type "diary", I type "dairy." Grrr.
from forty-plus :
Thank you.
from dinahsoar :
I love your pictorial storial! That was so fun! That tummy-flauntin' Billie is a poster child for self esteem! Thanks for sharing your family with me.
from dinahsoar :
Your anniversary's gonna rock! Mustang Beach looks awesome!
from dinahsoar :
Alx Rose? No way! Really? Way? I'd love to hear what happened (who jilted who, who hit who with what kind of bottle - you know, all the details omitting none!). Give it up!
from dinahsoar :
Just discovered your diary 'cuz it was listed on one of my favorite's favorites. Wow! We have so much in common (you didn't happen to have an evil twin that was separated off at birth, because that could just possibly be me). I, too, don't like Ethan Hawke (that's gotta be genetic - I thought I was the only one), love Bill Murray & Steely Dan is one of my 'desert island' bands (never get sick of & could have an sole CD on Agoraphobia Island). My favorites are Dr. Wu & Haitian Divorce (for reasons you'll discover if you visit my diary). I especially loved your childhood stuff. That's the mode I've been in lately, too. Thanks for the memories!
from starlight42 :
oh ya, metal slides burning my butt, baby! Did you ever get stuck too, like because your skin was sweaty or something and you'd get only half way down and have to push yourself?
from chillier :
That's a lot of pressure on a man - Anniversary gifts and Birthday gifts back to back. I hope he does a good job.
from chillier :
Yup, that's my bday. Yours too??
from geeked-out :
So I'm not leaving you 42 comments I decided to leave you a note instead. Just got home from watching The Hithhikers Guide. I loved it. I thought of you throughout because I'm creepy and think about diaryland people while I'm out and about. I have so much love for this movie I don't know if I can sleep.
from starlight42 :
Here's a question- what's the one experience in your life that you learned the most from?
from starlight42 :
I love business trips. You can't beat $12 room-service burgers!! I spent nearly $20 on a pop, cheeseburger & fries when I was in Portland a few years ago. I'll never forget it. Ahhh- the Marriot rooms were to die for!
from starlight42 :
Hope the kitties are better soon! And I love the new design, its awesome.
from chillier :
It's always a good time for sex talk. And excuse me, but JANUARY??? I'm sorry but it's spring! Shouldn't you be climbing walls about now? I think you and your man need to hump like bunnies. Just a thought :) Happy Monday!
from yeahimadork :
Hey again! I saw that you added me (thanks), so I started checking out some of your other entries. I think your diary is great! I started reading your "100 things" list, and... wow. Some of your things are way deeper than mine. My list just says shit like "I hate fish." "I like porn." "My favorite color is purple." Yeah, I am sophisticated like that. I am adding you to my favorites!! :)
from yeahimadork :
I just had to leave a note and tell you that "what would richard simmons do" banner was the best banner I think i've seen. Hilarious.
from chillier :
Yah, it was stuck in my throat. Yesterday I didn't go to work and it was early and I'd had this sexy dream and he was clearly not really interested so I GOT him interested (that's when the pubic hair lodged itself) and then I got what I wanted and it was great. But no amount of soda/coffee/food/alcohol could get that pubic hair to move. It must have given up while I was sleeping.
from chillier :
I'm glad you liked my pet story :) I erred on the side of cheesy but I can't help but be that way when I talk about my Bailey. I wish my pictures would come back so people could see her again.
from frizardtales :
What in the hell is up with DL....I come back for this shit??? Homey don't play like that!
from starlight42 :
I think DL is still in the pisser too! My pic doesn't come up on my profile any more :( Thanks for the note about the groceries. Damn straight kitty litter is expensive!! I usually get the clumping kind, because although it is more, it lasts much, much longer. But then we can't flush so we've got to bag it and toss it in the trash outside...seems way too complicated!!
from krazieespy :
Really like your diary. I checked it out through diaryland top 100. Definately be back to read more ;)
from atomicbuddha :
By the way, that sofa, The Klippan? It is pretty darned small but so unbelievably comfortable even though it doesn't look it. I almost bought one, slipcovered in a nice limey green but it's just too small for what we needed. I love it as well. You might want to look for vintage mid-century modern ones, they were very similar.
from darkcircle :
Thank you! I probably need to lighten up, huh? I forget that sometimes other people read these! LOL! I really just needed a venue to write it all down and finally 6 months later I am doing it. I think I'm done though. I still srop by your diary about once or twice a month so keep it up! You is awesomely choice.
from starlight42 :
Is your cat pregnant?
from forty-plus :
Okay! Finally got the rugrats out of my hair and to school so I could listen to the CDs! I put them on loud, started doing housework and I would run back to mark the songs I especially liked. Rachael Yamagata (I Want You), Jem (They - it did sound HPish), Toby Lightman (Devils & Angels - a little like Joss Stone), Air (Alpha Beta Gaga), Von Bondies (C'mon, C'mon), Rachel Fuller (Cigarettes & Housework - yeah, that's me ... without the cigarettes and nudity!), Le Tigre (Nanny Nanny Boo Boo - early Salt n Pepper-ish), Gwen Stefani (Bubble Pop Electric - of course) and Freezepop (Duct Tape My Heart). So, yeah. I liked the CDs a lot! Thanks! ~ Y
from starlight42 :
On my way down there right now for my "kick ass shower"...haha Are you going to see Motley Crue I think I will if they come here! You're right- VH1 has become awesome, it's almost like crack. I was just watching the Red Carpet show last night & Cheestastic the other night. I'll be watching Surreal Life & Flavor Flav Sunday. If you're looking for me, I'm right in front of the TV.
from upcountry :
MERRY CHRISTMAS! I got a parcel from Amazon.com yesterday! HOLY CRAP!! I would call you if I had your number - email it to me please? - I wanted to make sure that what I got was what you meant to send - because I got a book, a dvd and 3 cd's! EEEE!! Just making sure Amazon didn't mess up - and if it did, then please let me know and we will get it sorted - and if it didn't, then I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything. I LOVE YOU! ALOT!
from forty-plus :
I am dancing my butt off (as if it could be that easy) to your mix CD, excellent choices! Thanks again.
from forty-plus :
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for the CDs and thanks for all the other goodies! You are the best!
from starlight42 :
Don't feel bad- my cats are chubby too. Bailey has this belly of fur that hangs down...I think they're going to have to diet too. Bailey's not yet 2, at this rate when he's ten he'll be 30 pounds!! Better to diet them now. Ya, I think that sounds right- a cup per day each cat? What's funny is mine don't even eat that. Happy Holidays!
from forty-plus :
Happy Thanksgiving Day! I hope you have a wonderful (and dry) day.
from laurie2002 :
p.s. Did you win the I-Pod???
from laurie2002 :
unbelievable flooding! perfect song for the holidays (Thank you!)
from pashiesplace :
OMG that cat is a deadringer for my Pashie. Her pic is up on my last entry in fact! Wow!
from pashiesplace :
You have to watch Schindler! It is fantastic, but in that oh my god, this really happened kind of way. Seriously a great, great movie. I think everyone should see it because it really makes an impact.
from forty-plus :
Shoot, I held his hand BECAUSE I had cow saliva on it.
from starlight42 :
I liked Cold Creek Manor too, not bad. Sharon Stone is great. Good luck on the math test, I hate math!!
from starlight42 :
you crack me up! watching the biggest loser while eating ice cream. that'd be me :) I liked the part about cutting off a finger too while slicing tomatos.
from in-my-life :
Oh yes, yes, yes new Interpol please! My emusic user name is a problem because under the old system it was K. Maria but on the new system you can't have any spaces or punctuation. I think I need to send them an email and ask them to fix it. Are you tuff517?
from atomicbuddha :
I'm TOTALLY doing all those things you listed to do this weekend. Yes, I am. I'll report back and let you know how it went.
from atomicbuddha :
Aye, it wouldst be me red hair in that picture. At least it BETTER be...hmmmm...
from inkdragon :
Thank you so much.
from jerrbear :
Poo-eating would be coprophage. Coprophile means that Kitten just likes to bat the turds around a bit. Hi!
from atomicbuddha :
I LOVE that Badfinger song. Sorry about your rough weekend with the hubby. I hope it all gets worked out, in whatever way it's supposed to get worked out.
from starlight42 :
So now you're telling me there's not only going to be a Before Sunrise sequel (Before Sunset- just read that yesterday), there's going to be a Clerks 2? Also, I read in a magazine there's a pill (drug) you can give your cat to make them calm down and behave. Kitty tranquilizers anyone?
from upcountry :
when I was 14 my dance class performed to 'the lucky one' at the year end show. my mom sewed the costumes and we rocked the joint. i remember laura branigan on Solid Gold with her chunky thighs and bad hair. sigh. I didn't know she died either. AND THANK YOU FOR THE MORE PRESENTS!! i looooove the monkey album!! and bank!! and peeing keychain!! and the monster women just rule. I battle them against jake's Yugioh figures. 8)
from starlight42 :
ya, I know, I think I revolt against calling it a "diet" too...very good entry proving the point that Canada has provided us with some cool rockers. I love Bryan Adams. I like Lorenna McKennett too!
from upcountry :
YOU REALLY ARE MY SECRET TWIN!! please go download 'mama let him play' by Doucette, for some classic late 70's CanRock.
from atomicbuddha :
You can take the girl out of the Midwest but you can't take the Midwest out of the girl. It's in me too. Agreed that it has to be near Chicago, my family and friends are near there too. Will you tell the Midwest Hello for me when you visit? Tell it I miss it so. And if we have to leave our husbands some day and just move there at least we could be roommates or something, I'm easy to live with I'm told, if you can handle all the dogs everywhere. :)
from atomicbuddha :
Thanks, I hope that bastard Alex blows away too. I think you should move to Wisconsin then so I know someone there. I may have to leave Husband though, I don't think he's keen on returning to the snow. Perhaps I can woo him into it by reminding him how much he liked snowboarding before! And cheese! Where were your top Wisconsin places? Mine were Sheboygan, Kenosha, LaCrosse, Madison, and Monroe, among others. Kenosha would be cool because it's an hour from Chicago (I MISS that city) and like 40 minutes from Milwaukee...yet still fairly small, on Lake Michigan, and close to lots of farmland. I think I need to visit!
from cdghost :
enjoyed your words
from starlight42 :
OH!! You are going to see the two movies I'm dying to see. Hope they are good. As for your note, ya, the funny thing is when election year rolls around I think we are all pretty optomistic. I guess it's natural.
from red-licorice :
Nice to see there is more than me with such an interest in music.
from starlight42 :
Your hair looks great! I like the Powder Puff girl too. I might go see Cat Woman this weekend, Halle Berry rocks!
from atomicbuddha :
LOVE the hair!! It looks so coooool. Admit it though, you got your eyebrows done just like your hair.
from in-my-life :
No worries, if it came from Amazon then it probably went to my mail stop. I haven't checked since the 2nd, so it is very likely that it is sitting there all lonely waiting for me. How sad! Woo hoo! Unexpected prezzies -- can't wait!
from ladybugge :
Hi. I tried to sign your guestbook, but it wouldn't let me. *pout*. I'm putting together a cd for you, music I've heard since I got here. Hope you like it. :-) It may take a while to get to you, though. Take good care of yourself, and enjoy. Lots o' love, L

Aww shit, I missed the Simple Life?
from dangerspouse :
"Spam Porn: for when you want your meat in a can." Lol...thanks for letting me know, kiddo! (Glad to hear you're worm free, btw. Hilarious - and poignant - little snippets there.)
from atomicbuddha :
OMG, the worm thing, and it was just wet toilet paper? That happened to me too!!! It took me years to figure it out though.
from dangerspouse :
Hey babe, did you ever get the last e-mail I sent you (regarding your listening to the DangerMix)? Funny thing - the day after I sent it (uh...2 days ago?) it got bounced back to me with a note from MSN saying "there will be a delay in sending this"! I couldn't figure it out. But then I saw I had written the line "I'm already plotting my next selection of songs" (or similar). I wonder if the word "plotting" rang some hypersensitive Patriot Act Intrusion Alert bells, and now I'm having a background check being done by the CIA, NSA and Interpol! It would be just like me to have something like this happen. Anyway, I was just curious if they ever ended up sending it along to you finally. Thanks!
from starlight42 :
I got your note Friday, I don't know why my comments thing was acting up...anyway, I like your book review site! very nice.
from starlight42 :
I see you got to go to the Prince concert...that would be fun. I didn't get tix though, my big one this summer is Van Halen. Also, I see you're reading Poisonwood Bible, what do you think of it so far? It's on my shelf waiting to be read, but it looks kind of daunting.
from upcountry :
you wear that smudged shirt and rock out tonight, sister friend! (and if it was hot you wouldn't wear much more)
from atomicbuddha :
I loved this entry...5/20...I want to spilt a chocolate Sara Lee cake with you.
from dangerspouse :
YOU FILTHY, CHEATING BITCH!! It wasn't the FRUIT that caused my Porridge Pal to go down in defeat. It was the fact that you had A ROBOT MONKEY! How do you expect mere flesh and blood to compete with your sinister killing device made of steel and naugahyde?? Sheesh. Fight fair next time. (Still luv ya, btw. Cheater.)
from starlight42 :
Yes, reading IS an addiction...I don't know if I'll ever read everything I want to...and as soon as I get my list shortened, I find another new author or group of books!

What's all this negative talk? You need to listen to some Cristian Aguilera or some shit.

I'm campaigning for a humidity-free (well, more of a low-humidity) Universe. Also, GAH on the colon news. What are going to do? I'm really sorry it all has to be so invasive and I'm wondering if the same thing is gonna happen to me. Are you freaking out about it or taking it all in stride?
from cruel-irony :
I just have to tell you that you're the coolest person in this galaxy. Well, and thank you so much. I hope you hear from me soon. Heh. Oh, and good luck with your garden.

Aw shucks...thanks for the compliment. And, I know what you mean...about picturing people a certain way and then actually seeing them...weird. "Love child of Rip Taylor and Phillis Diller"!! That's great! And if I thought Rip could get it up with a woman, it might be true. Thanks for the great laugh - and I hope you get your computer woes sorted out.

that's hilarious about teaching 80's music.
from tigerpat :
i love the pics in your diary. I am really into old hollywood
from mizundaztood :
Hi, I read an entry of yours a couple days ago and I was hooked. It seems we shared an affinity for 80's Bill Murray (although I had it bad for 'Ghostbusters' Bill, not 'Scrooged' Bill). I had to lock my diary for censorship purposes (Ie. I have an sadistic twat for a brother). If you want to take a gander, the password is mrpink. Cheers.
from tuluum :
eeww.. anal sac :O that face was priceless! :O
from starlight42 :
The Butterfly Effect does look good. I want to see Along Came Polly & the new Adam Sandler movie when it comes out!

Hey, I tried leaving you a comment AND signing the guestbook and I couldn't do either. However, it's a good chance it's operator error. Anyway, I wanted to say: Yay for the single ladies and good luck on your math test. I do know how much you love the whole math thing!
from nicedream06 :

you've gotta love reality tv though. I just watched my tape of Average Joe this morning (I was watching Joe Millionaire Mon night)- I knew she'd get rid of those two crazy guys. Next weeks looks funny too.
from shadoweloc :
Yeah, I can't believe that Jonathan Brandis died over a week ago and this is the first that anyone is hearing about it! How tragic..
from atomicbuddha :

from atomicbuddha :
Thanks for the comment about what I wrote for my Dad. It wasn't trite or stupid. I'm glad it is appreciated. I just wish I had remembered to do it on Veteran's day.
from dangerspouse :
You're having Deviled Eggs and Pie for Thanksgiving, huh? Wow, just like the Pilgrims! Good to see somebody still goes old school. Me? I think I'm gonna stuff one of those Beaver Snails. Thanks for the tip!
from dangerspouse :
"Beaver Snails"? "BEAVER SNAILS"? Oh, the classy jokes that spring to mind....
from atomicbuddha :
I LOVE Average Joe and totally agree with everything you just wrote. I am so pulling for Tareq too...so sweet, charming, and smart with a bonus accent. He may be too smart for her though...I think that makes her feel threatened.
from sambadelic :
Hi Haggy! I mean Tuffy! I got me some CDs inna mail the other day. Haw.

I love the new design!! Very festive. Also, I read Vinegar Hill too (about 2yrs ago) and really enjoyed it, but yes, it was very sad.
from dizzy-dame :
Hey, this is Frazzled Imp. Due to certain people in my personal life not having the common sense that god gave a banana feeling the urge to delve into my journal, Ive decided to pack my bags, and move to a new location. Since this move isnt intended to thwart my regular readers who have nothing to do with me on an intimate basis, Im just making the rounds and letting you know where Ive gone. Youre still welcome to come read, if youd like. You can find me at: http://dizzy-dame.diaryland.com Take care!
from golfwidow :
Ooh pretty -- where are your comments, though?
from starlight42 :
Thanks for the birthday wishes!
from lifeofmytime :
Whoa! Guess I won't be winning any grammar awards :o Sorry 'bout that.
from lifeofmytime :
Thanks for your concern. Our power went out today, and I thought I was in for another long haul. Thankfully it was only out for abou 15 minutes. By the way, Toffifee are soooooo good. You have to try them. I only eat them once a year at Christmas, because once I eat one I can't refrain from eating the whole box.
from greatgadfly :
OH: And Kenna's floppy haired blonde keytar player inspired such a flood of impure thoughts that I couldn't square away proper lusting time for the drummer and the other keytar player, both of whom were just stoopid sexy in their own right.
from greatgadfly :
Every party needs a pooper, that's why they invited me: PARTY POOPER. But if I'm a party pooper, then their party's poopy too: POOPY PARTY!
from waycoolmama :
That little game needs to come with a disclaimer, I know. But it's so cool, though.. isn't it??? And I always thought Toffifay kicked ass. Mmmmmmmm... Toffifay. Do they even make that anymore? Mmmmmm.....
from greatgadfly :
It's like I said before (and tried to say again in your guestbook just now, but apparently my guestbook karma just sucks): Misplaced quotation marks are the mullets of grammar.
from passthemic :
i thought FRFFZFR was funny :)
from sambadelic :
Hey, settle the FUCK down over there, allright? Just because I didn't say so, doesn't mean I didn't wet my pants over FRFFZFR, because, well, I almost FUCKING did.
from greatgadfly :
Oh, Tuffy. You are the dreamiest guestbook terrorist of them all. Your rotten tomatoes are sweet ambrosia when they slap me upside the head (which feels like a kiss, don'tcha know). Which brings me to this: yes, you should get the new Peaches CD. Even if it's not a great PEACHES album, it's better than most of the rooty poop out there. You can shake your butt to it. You got yer Iggy duet. You got yer Joan Jett samples. It doesn't suck.
from bongo282 :
I am also a child of the 80's. I was watching a Paid Program a month ago and Time/Life were putting out all kinds of 80's cd's. You should check out their website and see. I love the 80's too. Me:o)*
from starlight42 :
I loved the guest entries!! That cabbage patch kid was the EXACT same one I had! LOL
from sambadelic :
So, following that philosophical trajectory...I'm considering dying my greying mop this weekend, does that mean my efforts to mellow and mature will be set back by 10 years? (I should probably let Mr. S know, maybe we should hire a sitter.)
from ihatepizza :
Allison won't win. No way!
from waycoolmama :
Oh My Fucking (can I type that here?) God! I just listened to my Sparks tape about 3 days ago! HA!!! I didn't think anyone else even knew who the hell they were.. well, other than the crowd I grew up with. I had a production company and produced/edited all kinds of videos for years and even did my friend's wedding music video to that very song back in '91. Just wanted to share! I love your diary. Damn... I may have to go listen to some Haircut 100 now.
from atomicbuddha :
OMG. Do I ever miss Portillos! Thanks for mentioning that and just ruining my whole day. But I agree with you on the whole Allison winning at BB thing...ACK!!
from greatgadfly :
When I send you questions, you are not allowed to use a magic eightball to answer them. I'm just sayin'.
from sambadelic :
Yes, but you must allow me to Fun-Tac a penny here and there onto a cat along with a tiny Post-It scrawled with "PASS THE DUTCHIE ON THE LEFT-HAND SIDE!" Okay? I mean it's Performance Literature we're after, right?
from starlight42 :
I think everyone must be on Robert's side on big bro! I don't see how allison thinks she can ever win.
from sambadelic :
Is that a burned potato chip?
from frizardtales :
There was something in the air that night, the stars where bright, Dixito. I made it back to read the wit and humor of the woman who made me a thief. You are a shining star in the world of diaries. Keep on keeping on! The way I look at it...I have about 180 entries to read to catch up where I left off. I will be sick of you when I am done but I will still call you friend. Amen.
from sambadelic :
It's a halter top! I lost it at the Value Village on vacation over a halter BOTTOM for sale there. Eech. A used halter bottom!

from cruel-irony :
Hey There! I hope you had a great time with Frizzard. We should talk soon. I hope your day goes well and thanks for stopping by.
from atomicbuddha :
Thanks...I'll pass that on to Willow. She quite enjoys hearing about how cute she is. I cannot resist that face, the dog walks all over me. I am her be-atch.
from shadoweloc :
I've decided to lock up my diary until my dumbass coworkers get bored trying to read it. The username is Smokey and the pw is Bandit.

from sambadelic :
You don't have to buy ANY Bollywood CD because I will send you more Bollywood than you can shake a chapati at, if you'd like.
from sambadelic :
You trawl the depths like a basking shark. You pick at the carcass like a fire ant. You worry over the bones like an old elephant. You gather up the shiny bits like a raven. It's all there, all on my CDs. Bad, and "where's the skip button?" good, better, and "where's the repeat button?"
from sambadelic :
Oh merde. I just had to wave my hand in front of my face to see if I was awake, and I wasn't. Can we pretend that I just got the CD's? Because, believe me, you don't want to hear my excuse for NOT LISTENING TO THEM YET! I'm a wiggly little worm! That's why! Now where's my eyebrow pencil, because I've got to go write my name backward on my forehead so as I can read it when I look in the mirror.
from starlight42 :
That's too funny what you wrote about us people in Michigan! We ARE nuts. You should see the drivers around here!
from starlight42 :

How did you make that pop/soda transition? I just can't do it. I find myself saying pop around all the southerners and saying soda to my family and friends...I can't fit in dammit. In other news, you are welcome to come to my house and kill centipedes anytime, your style of hunting and killing is exactly like mine.
from sambadelic :
Woohoo - Geek Love! I read/heard somewhere once that Johnny Depp was/is to buy the movie rights to that. Can you imagine? My caption is "Ah, the clay-blossoming orchid, such a rare, firm specimen!"
from starlight42 :
I love the chewing on the straps qoute...and I love Mr. Furley! They had a special on E! about him the other night. What a great comic actor, cheesy as he is.

from atomicbuddha :
Thank you for the luck...I feel we will need it somehow. Aaahhhh...the dynamic duo of Jewel and Osco...how I miss that. In my hometown it was Eagle/Osco but as I went to school closer to Chicago I found that was a pretty odd combo because there it was always Jewel/Osco. Them was the good 'ol days...days of yore. The memories...
from passthemic :
i'm glad you like the cd's! :)
from sambadelic :
I can't wait for my CD! I'm sending yours Friday- promise.

Wasn't that cat thing the best? I love all of your pics. Mommy Dearest & Mr. Bush are my fav.'s. I've never seen Reversal of Fortune, maybe I should rent it.
from atomicbuddha :
I love the sSouthpark version of you...a guy here at work made Southpark versions of all of us in the Graphics department and we have it framed and hanging up as you enter our area. The fun never ceases really.

Oh man, I've got to survey all the child-laden people I know and ask this very pertinent question. Even though I don't plan on doing the kid thing, inquiring minds, ya know. Scrubs IS the best show on television, you are right...it is so damned funny. I started watching it just 7 months ago and am so addicted...I want to make love to it. Also, in response to your earlier note...YOU TOO can totally break wood, it's easy if you breathe through it! (just watch out for those GD sappy, wet mofos.)

from atomicbuddha :
That made my day...I'm going to use it, thank the 5-year old for me. "I have crabs today...so leave me the hell alone." I'll be saying that to all my co-workers, let them wonder. I didn't think you had forgotten about my boogie plea...I'm just so excited to be on the receiving end of such a nice gesture I can hardly contain my perma-grin. There it goes again... Would you like some snot? I have plenty..I can send some along.
from sambadelic :

That would be so very cool!! I wasn't looking for people to just give me stuff but HEY, I'm all for that!! I'd love to give something in return. Don't be afraid of failure...I like pretty much everything but modern country, Britney-type pop and gangsta rap. I'm totally open-minded. I love oldies, funk, alternative, rock, punk, blue-grass, celtic, folk, classical...you get the idea. I want to boogie.

from atomicbuddha :
Oooooh, love the new layout! It's much more inviting and the starry/swirly/blue stuff on the side makes me happy.
from tater-fay :
I love the entry about pretending to be a celebrity being interviewed. My friend and I (we were about 14) used to pretend we were famous and sexy journalists and we would "interview" various members of Duran Duran (we used to ask really stupid questions of "Nick Rhodes" like "Are you or have you ever been in a concentration camp becuase you are TOO THIN!" We also would "interview" Michael Hutchence/INXS cuz we had big crush on him at the particular point. Funny stuff!!
from atomicbuddha :
Oh yes, I spent the first 27 years of my life bouncing between Chicago, The Burbs, DeKalb, and Sterling Illinois...then I made a run for the ocean.

from atomicbuddha :
Thank you so much for the note...my very first! I'm fucking ecstatic! YOU are good, that's what's good...you.
from in-my-life :
Not-so-secret-santa prezzies should arrive sometime next week. Woo hoo! Bring on the Santa!! By the way, I'm still salivating over yesterday's mention of fudge. Please send fudge! (Oops, that was meant to be a subtle hint. Didn't quite work out that way, now did it?)
from nicedream06 :

Just wanted to say hi. "Hi!" I really like how you write your life story. Very good stuff. Hope it's a good day for you, too. It's up to thirty and the sun shining brightly here in New England. L
from frizardtales :
In reference to your Nov. 27th entryif you were a good friend you would buy the land next to you, build a house on it and have it ready for when I finished school. I would then open my business, you could do the office work in the A/C and I would go do my thingor you could move back here. You decide Cracker! Word!

from iwant2stalku :
Hey, whassup? I just took a survey and read that you were afraid of the Wizard of Oz. When I was growing up I liked that movie, but a few weeks ago, my friend told me that a crew member had hung themselves from one of the props and you can see his body hanging in the background of the movie. Apparently, he had done it so late in production, they didn't have time to edit it out. Now, I really hate that movie too, haha. I know that probably doesn't help you much, but I thought I'd share. Peace.
from anx :
I just read there's going to be a remake of "Willard", starring none other than Mr. Crispin Glover. I'm at a loss for words.
from anx :
Thankums Tuffy - I'm feeling a little better already, and I didn't even have to medicate. And if you want a really yummy, sanitary, poop-free meat substitute, you should try using Morningstar Farms (or is it Boca?) ground-beef-substitute "Crumbles". I made me some Manwich with the stuff once, and it was Hillbillylicious...and I only got HALF as sick as I would have with real ground beef in the mix!!!
from shelbyhul :
this is really weird, but on this computer game (you run a zoo) you name an exhibit "Xanadu" and you unlock a unicorn. I never really knew what it meant, but... anyways, that's just like one of those random things that makes sense in your mind, and then you're like, "um, no. this DOESN'T make sense. oh well." and then, well, yeah. okay. i guess this really looks like a random piece of information. i wouldn't blame you if you thought i was crazy. anyhoo, bye. -shobie

You should by all means purchase the Mulholland Drive DVD...it doesn't come with a single stinkin' special feature, with the possible exception of a little slip of paper with ten "clues" from Mr. Lynch. Hell, people spend more money for a good jigsaw puzzle...I guarantee you this brain-twister will keep you stymied for far longer than any 5000-piece jigsaw of frolicking puppies.

Damn, I hate it when that happens. So many times. That's why I started writing my entries in Word and then copy/pasting them here. It's great cuz then it's spell checked too. ~ Green balloon = penis, HA! That's so funny that you noticed that.
