Hey Yoobs! Thanks for the hi-speed catch up - glad to hear all is good with you. Merry Christmas, dear! s x
from stepfordtart :
Yoooooobs, old pip! How lovely to see your name up in red! Eeeuw Stalkers. Eeeuw Work. Yay Family Reuniteds. Yay The Maldives. Yay MK hunks. Nice to catch up with you, dear. s x
from stepfordtart :
Bloody hell! A whole new meaning for 'busy as hell'. And with added hell, by the sound of it. Merry Birthday celebrations with Flossie and, for christs sake, remember to BREATHE, woman! s x
from stepfordtart :
After getting similarly conflicting advice over improving the state of our lawn I just chucked some handfuls of seed over mine it, raked it in a half-arsed manner and said "ah, fuck it. That'll do". It was fine. Green and grassy and fine. s x
from stepfordtart :
Hey! Long time no read! Glad to hear all seems to be well in UB40land (including Flossie! YAY!). s x
from stepfordtart :
Oh! It just sounds LOVELY! Glad you had a good time. s x
from fan4 :
NY is one of the states I haven't visited yet.
from stepfordtart :
Ive only ever been to Hunstanton in November (every bloody year for TOO MANY years, for the guitar show). I just cant imagine going there in pleasant weather! s x
from stepfordtart :
Hey! I updated - like you told me to! Unless you're already stateside, you can go see all my stupid pictures (apologies if it takes ages to load!). s x
from stepfordtart :
Not well? What, 'proper' not well? Hope not! *looks worried* NY is da bomb, hope you have the best time. s x
from stepfordtart :
Meh. How crap. Commiserations. s x
from stepfordtart :
Hey! Happy Easter to you! Glad you met up with Flossie - some things just gotta be done. Hope things go Ok with the bruv - fingers crossed. s x
from pondlife :
Let me know if you would like a password.
from stepfordtart :
To be honest, the searing pain of the fire is looking infinitely preferable to the frying pan at the moment! Flossie's pretty much grown up now isnt she? Coulc you not do a little 'no pressure' meet up? Coffee? Lunch? without it creating too much of an aftershock? Seems a shame when you both clearly are very fond of each other. Id be cautioning against it if she was 10 or something but she's probably making pleny of 'unsuitable friends'(!) all by herself these days anyway! Tricky one. And easy for me to say "ah, go on!" when Im not actually in that situation. Best of luck.s x
from stepfordtart :
Ah, the 'company restructure'! We do one of them every coupleof months at Twat Inc. Its always a disaster and then we have to restucture again to make things right. There's f*** all about down here vacancy-wise - hope its better round your neck of the woods. s x
from pondlife :
Hey there, I've been slack on returning notes, hate me if you must. Hope you're warm and well! I'm back to Forest Row this Friday- please talk to the weatherman about a little sunshine?
from stepfordtart :
That befriending thing is weird but there's not much you can say without appearing like a six-year-old "stop taking my friends off me!". Glad to know all's kind of OK with you, tho. Missed you! s x
from stepfordtart :
Eeeuw. That sounds vile. Hpoe you feel better soon. s x
from stepfordtart :
Straight swap? Your pile o' pants for mine? Ive been off all weekand Im dreading going back on Monday. s x
from stepfordtart :
Eeeeuuuw! yeh, WE saw that TV programme too!! No, its nothing like that, just a pre-cancer chop-off, on the inside. Dont think its gonna do anything to the aesthetics, think we'll still be talking 'badly packed kebab'! s x
from stepfordtart :
Mmmm, edwardian houses are lovely - high ceilings and shitloads of design detail! How about in the furthest reaches of suburbia? We're almost in the countryside (but still kind of in town) and there's loads of double fronted villas and other architectural gems around here. Happy browsing! s x
from planet-maxx :
Hey Kidda, Hows you ?? - Have a favour to ask. There is a charity gig for Oxfam that my Dads band are putting on. Its on the 16th November at the Cock in Stony Stratford MK. I need you to round up as many people as you can, and get them down there. send me a mail to [email protected] with your mail addy, and I'll mail you a poster. Thank you please...
from pondlife :
Sadly no, I didn't, too windy and cold. Seems the older I get (26 now) the less tolerance i have for cold weather. Mind you, this is the american south, the evening lows aren't that cold! Thanks for the encouragement, it meant a lot.
from stepfordtart :
well, if you're near enough, and you fancy it/have time, email me and let me know. s x
from stepfordtart :
where? where? 'south, almost the sea'? Is it anywhere near 'meet Stepfie for a pint'? s x
from pondlife :
It's a plan then, and thank you! Isle of Harris was lovely, a bit too wet and cold for my liking, but yeah, beautiful nonetheless.
from pondlife :
It's been less than a month and already I wish that I hadn't posted that. I like having this space to deposit thoughts. Think anyone would notice if I just deleted the entry and pretended it never existed?
from stepfordtart :
*shakes head at sweetcorn-strewing beastly relatives*. s x
from pondlife :
Oh dear. Well, my thoughts are with you. Off to Isle of Harris in one week, would be no trouble to swing over and rescue you from nine to five!
from stepfordtart :
Meant to come over here yesterday and say "YOUR FUCKING FAMILY ARE A NIGHTMARE!" *shakes head with disbelief at some peoples rudeness*. It absolutely pissed down overnight here so if its moving northwards you might want to take a brolly if you'e going out! s x
from stepfordtart :
TOIL is the only way I can get my fucking dismal holiday allowance up to something more tolerable. Luckily I can build up shit-load by doing the trade shows - I got four days for doing the Tatton Park show. Make sure you tell loads when you get back from your hols. Never been there but would like to give it a go. s x
from stepfordtart :
Where? Where you goin'? Oh doooooo tell, then I can be vicariously excited. s x
from planet-maxx :
Hey you....I haven't been here in sooooo long. How you keepin ?? I have a place over at WP. http://returnofthemaxx.wordpress.com Hope your ok.
from stepfordtart :
Sun shining here too! yay! s x
from stepfordtart :
Awwww. Here! Have this ((cyber hug)) and ((glass of virtual wine))! There! Feel better? s x
from stepfordtart :
Ive got a couple of those books (funnily enough!) and, even tho I laugh myself silly at some of the stuff, some of it kind of makes sense. Anyway, I made myself as unpopular as I care to be with that last entry - should probably just stick to writing about sex and whisky. s x
from fruitbat20 :
my ma has an electric barbecue. the first one we did this summer it rained like hell and i think six people came over... so we plugged it in in the kitchen and did it there :) kebabs... they were good too!
from stepfordtart :
No, not varifocals, just for working on the PC and for reading. Trouble is I have to keep taking them on and off when Im working cos Im not sat right in front of the screen all the time. I could do with ones with plain glass at the top and the blind-as-a-bat bit at the bottom so I dont have to wear the bloody things perched on the end of my nose. L's gonna get me one of those Old Lady Chain thingies so I can have them winsomely dangling over my frontage, like a dowager duchess! s x
from stepfordtart :
Hmmmm. New glasses. I am struggling with mine, I must admit. Cant get the hang of them at all. Although, as a comedy prop, they are beyond compare - even Slaveboy has had them on and played a (very scary) game of doctors. My staff worry me. s x
from stepfordtart :
get me some of that detox stuff while you're there, wouldya? My trousers are hellish tight today. s x
from stepfordtart :
j? Fucking hell, thems SOME whangers! Fair play for getting her sorted - My own teency B-cups can only marvel at the magnificence of the Js and the agony it must be to be wearing the wrong size. s x
from stepfordtart :
Make sure they make up for the loneliness with a shit-load more cash. It'll take the edge off nicely! s x
from stepfordtart :
She's on anti-depressants? They dont work, dude. She's still a miserable cow. Glad you're feeling better, tho. s x
from fruitbat20 :
i can't be hired for assisted suicide, but i CAN say, from the point of view of someone on antidepressants, that NOT talking about shit is usually what fucks your situation up enough to enhance the need to be on antidepressants. i mean, really.
from stepfordtart :
Aww. Feel better soon! If the Lemsip's not doing what it should, try paracetamol with caffeine (tesco's own is fine, so is the Co-ops) - drugs....with a kick! s x
from stepfordtart :
I finally finished my CV. Yay me! I sent it off to two places this afternoon, before I got cold feet! Is there any chance you would 'sense check' it for me if I emailed it to you? Would be nice to get a 'stranger's perspective' on my employability....or lack of it! s x
from stepfordtart :
HaHa! Thats a horrible commute from here! Although, for the chance of a new job, Id do it on roller skates if I had to! s x
from stepfordtart :
Fingers crossed for you all the way, girl. s x
from fan4 :
I'm as well as I can be, I suppose.
from fruitbat20 :
i have to say, the universe, at least in my case, since i don't believe in god, likes to ream me up the ass at every available opportunity, but only for, like, enema purposes. it likes to beat the crap out of me and then give me something awesome. every time i hit rock bottom things get better- but i have to go all the way down to go way up again. wtf?
from fan4 :
In your profile, you list one of your favorites as "sober 3 months". In order for that link to work properly, you need to eliminate the spaces between those words.
from stepfordtart :
Your SiL is a fucking bitch (says Stepfie in a totally grown-up and rational way). s x
from fruitbat20 :
the pigeons are fighting back... bravo. for the record, i love pigeons.
from elliestuff :
Thanks for checking out the fiction diary. I have undie issues too.
from stepfordtart :
Im blushing FOR you! And going hot with humiliation (just for good measure!). Was only taking the piss with the spelling thing - spell check is suuuuuch a chore. It never recognises perfectly good words (like when one spells 'such' with 5 u's!). s x
from stepfordtart :
Judging from your spelling, it was more than ONE glass you had, young lady! Cheers! s x
from stepfordtart :
????? Underwear's supposed to FIT? Huh? I just buy whatever L is going to think I look like a porn star in. Then I wear it to work by mistake and end up in fucking agony all day cos of some gigantic diamante butterfly or other ridiculous accoutrement jabbing in my girlparts. *shakes head* I can see where Ive been going wrong now! s x PS Next time you come south, let me know wontcha? If you're nearly at the water, you're south enough!
from elliestuff :
You must be in a whirlwind. Hope all is well.
from stepfordtart :
Book a day off, go meet with these new people and have a bit fat "thrash it out" meeting with them. Ask shitloads of questions. At least then you can worry about it in a slightly better informed way! s x
from megsworld2 :
Hope you get to enjoy your weekend..some how. Great that eveything is beautiful and green. My Mom was telling me they have huge strawberries this year. Wish they had enough strawberry plants to feed us too, but its just for them. Unfortunately.
from stepfordtart :
No worries, matey! Its only "temporary" "measures", if you catch my drift! (if you dont, you'd better email me: [email protected] I kind of think you'll be able to work it out!) s x
from stepfordtart :
((hug)) s x
from neeeeek :
Hullo, you seem to be a very kind and caring person... keep it up : - ) As far as it sounds, these people used your goodness shamelessly... there are partially bad people out there... and they show the kind of behaviour I often observed: they complain about you not caring but you do and they did not themselves. Take it easy + best wishes, me (Good deeds never stay unpunished I fear But we gonna do em anyway)
from stepfordtart :
No fair! It'd take more than a couple of days off to sort my house out! Just remind me again why I suggested we have the wedding reception here. I am surely mental. s x
from ivyparker :
I hope you get to do something fun and amazing. You do so deserve it.
from pondlife :
Is it too late to thank you for the nice comment? I'm saying it anyway, so there it is, months late and all. Life's gotten in the way lately you see, every mundane moment of it. Parenting should have been mentioned somewhere in Dante's vision of hell. Ahem... so, thank you for the very kind comment, I'm rather fond of your diary as well. Would you believe me if I said I'm not usually this awkward?
from stepfordtart :
Im off to Brum for work tomorrow, but in the evening so no chance for any shopping. Meh. s x
from pondlife :
Enjoy the Peak District, I'm jealous! Was there last year around May, Dovedale mostly, the Stepping Stones and Milldale. Chatsworth House on the River Derwent is worth a visit as well. Anyway, nice diary, have fun.
from ivyparker :
We had rain today on St. Patrick's day. Hope you got some sunshine.
from for-tart :
FYI Gas is now $3.10 in our fair town. It's creeping up in price every day.
from for-tart :
I am thinking of trading for a smaller vehicle as well. Gas (sorry, petrol) is $3.00 a gallon at most places here.
from ivyparker :
Hi, well..the sun will soon hide here..maybe you'll get it. Cause we got rain and sleet coming our way this afternoon. It was fun while it lasted though.
from stepfordtart :
Hey! Im not Welsh either! Lets not celebrate St David Day together! I'll concentrate on not putting out any bunting, if you could manage to not rustle up a buffet. s x
from ivyparker :
The little things you know at work. You must be the best friend ever..or something of the like. Hope your Monday is a good one.
from stepfordtart :
WHAT FLOWERS? Sorry for yelling but I need to know these things! Flowers are my day-to-day stuff so Im VERY interested in them. I am a floralnerd. More detail please! s x
from planet-maxx :
Yeah - ok - don't rub it in. I got it in the neck for the lack of flowers this year. ( 1st year I haen't got her any ). Do you got a Wordpress account ?? If so I can add you and you can catch up with that's been going on...
from for-tart :
I just love trying to decipher the "English" you and stepfordtart use. It is a learning experience for a Texan.
from stepfordtart :
Happy Birthday to youuuuuuuu! s x
from ivyparker :
Who really loves housework, anyway? Certainly not, when I could be writing the Craig Dean Chronicals on my Hollyoaks fan fiction page. Hope you have a lovely week. I guess that might mean doing a load of laundry or something.
from stepfordtart :
"serving bowels"!!!!! Eeeeuuuw! I do sincerely hope you menat "serving BOWLS"! hahaha! NY is splendid - I heartily recomend it. Your food Nazi friend will be able to dine on egg-white omelettes while you scoff down chilli dogs and 25 course breakfasts. MMmmmmmmm. Can I come? Went with the (now ex)husband last time, the boring old fart, and BFs not great in places where the population's more than about 1 person per square mile. He's such a yokel. s x
from dylanwashere :
Thanks for the wishes. Hope all is well at the office. Hope you are finding some peace in your projects.
from stepfordtart :
Ha! I did a quick surf to see if I could find anyone really famous from MK so I could take the piss in a "OMG! You're dating XXXXX" sort of way, but it appears no celeb A-listers are natives of that fair town. Chris Moyles lived there while he was working for Radio Chiltern apparently, but Id be hard pushed to make a decent gag out of that. Bah. Happy New Year, dear. s x
from ivyparker :
Happy happy new year! Hope the hunk is nice to you. All the best.
from planet-maxx :
Hunk From MK eh ?? - I don't remember agreeing to come see you LMAO... Hope you have a good new year sweetie, and I'm sure we'll catch up soon...
from megsworld2 :
Happy New Year! You wise one, you. Hope its not bitter cold there. More snow on the ground than I like..this time of year here. Stay cozy.
from stepfordtart :
It was blowing a hoolie down here last night too - got soaked walking to the pub and had to stay there a really long time to 'wait for it to stop'. *ahem*. Happy New Year! s x
from planet-maxx :
I locked it up 'cos I think I'm gonna keep DL for my private thoughts. I have a very very new home now at wordpress. http://planetmaxx.wordpress.com - come on over and visit. If I don't get speak to you before, have a fantastic new year...
from stepfordtart :
Merry Christmas to you, dear! s x PS KPIs and SLAs are for droids, not for real people like us!
from ivyparker :
Take care of yourself this holiday. Merry Christmas!
from for-tart :
I am not sure which hangover I hate most, gin or wine. Wait! Sloe Gin. Ug! Merry Christmas from our side of the world.
from stepfordtart :
A chicken and mushroom pie will usually take the edge off a hangover. I heartily recommend it. Caller display is people's way of being impolite without having to open their mouths. I dont even have caller display and IVE got a stalker! Meh. Families. Perhaps you shouldve gone Christmas shopping for the SiL this morning *with* hangover. She wouldve got the present she deserved then, I bet! s x
from planet-maxx :
HAHA - *SHOUTS* HEY KIDDA - YOU OK ?? - ok that was cruel, I'm sorry. I guess I'm lucky that I just don't really like alcahol. Don't do beer or wine. Usually just end up drinking stupid alcopops if anything, so I usually don't bother at all.
from stepfordtart :
God! Your relatives ARE a bit crap, arent they? In the time-honoured fashion, I recommend phoning SiL up and bellowing "What is your fucking problem??? Hmm? C'mon, Im waiting??". That'll do the trick. Maybe. s x
from for-tart :
Always glad to drag another poor soul into the comedy that is my life. May the gods grant you strength of mind to endure.
from megsworld2 :
Cool! That's great about the job. Hope all is well. Stay healthy! Stay positive!
from stepfordtart :
Fucking hell! What a shitty interview process! Hope the makes up for the trauma! s x
from planet-maxx :
Been a while again - gonna add you to my faves, don't know why I haven't before, at least then I can see when you update. Anyway, hope the interview goes well...
from megsworld2 :
How did that interview go?
from stepfordtart :
Hello dear - Im only locked for the duration of an 'IT trawl' at work. Im toast if they find out what I REALLY get up to! Will unlock when I update - probably tomorrow. s x
from stepfordtart :
Oi, you two! Stop talking about me! Hello dear, what coast did you go to? I know you're a bit north of me but did you go up or down? s x
from for-tart :
I closed a previous diary and stepfordtart asked if I was posting still. So this one was started for (-) 'tart. Goofy but true.
from for-tart :
Greetings. I grabbed a handfull of unmarked mix CD's this morning and one of the tracks was UB40's "Food For Thought", which reminded me of your DL site. Did you chose the name for the band or the form? Cheers.
from stepfordtart :
I think you should definitely apply - you can always turn it down if you get offered it, cant you? Have a good weekend. s x
from planet-maxx :
Hey - I haven't stopped by for a while, So I've got a bit of catching up to do, hope you're keeping ok.
from quietguy :
I was reading your entry about people you know dying. It's a natural reaction to reflect on one's mortality from time to time. Hopefully those times make us appreciative on what we have. QG.
from stepfordtart :
Did I write that entry for you? Or did you just read my mind? Two-day conference, promotion talks, blahblahfuckingblah, too tired even to cry. Fancy a beer? s x
from stepfordtart :
Hello dear! Thanks for your concern. Im not actually dead, as you may have surmised, just hellish busy with work and, even more bizarrely, BF has got a shed-load of production work on at the moment which means he's using the computer pretty non-stop (instead of pretending to be a builder which is what he's been doing all bloody summer!). Im also rehearsing a play at the moment which takes up a load of time I could otherwise be spending talking to you lot! First chance Im gonna get to update this week will be Wednesday....and even then Im not making any promises! Have a good week. s x
from megsworld2 :
pretty pretty layout! looks like I'll have to post at megsworld2..since my post won't post at meganwaits. hope you have a good weekend.
from dylanwashere :
Lov'n the new layout. Hope you get things worked out. You stand up for yourself, ok.
from stepfordtart :
Ha! How comforting to find out Im not the only one who thinks she'll get 'found out' at work! Im well paid, quite senior and still think every day that somebody's gonna say "Look. Stop denying it. You're a...you're a...you're a MUM really, arent you?!" s x
from stepfordtart :
I got one right here that says that quite a lot. But he IS 45 so Im not sure if he still counts as a 'boy'. heehee. s x
from stepfordtart :
Tell her to fuck off. That'll do the trick. Photobucket's great but, holy hell, it takes an AGE to upload the pics. Fair play to you for doing 246. Next time, make the ungrateful cow go to Superdrug. s x
from stepfordtart :
Its sunny here, too! Freaky, isnt it?! Have a good weekend. s x
from ibinx :
Oh, you're certainly welcome -- I feel so flattered! But I'm really sorry that it took me so long to deliver it to you! I'm really glad that you are pleased with it, though; just let me know if you ever get tired of it and need another.
from juswords :
the secret? i dont think i have one but what i did to myself was staying up for 24 hours then allow myself to sleep at night, so i have a regular sleeping hours, and i also drank white russians [or wine] to help me to get sleepy. =/
from stepfordtart :
fucking hell. Resolve firmly to get you absolutely bollocksed should ever we meet up, dear. (((hugs))) s x
from stepfordtart :
NIce layout, dear! (I got someone to do mine, too. Im a total fucktard when it comes to things like that!). What's the story with Flossie? Sounds like we have a similar situ here with BFs children. Kind of hoping for a miracle which might see them come back before BF and I get married. Not very likely. If you already wrote about this stuff, will you tell me where to find it in your archives? I like comparing misery. : ) s x
from juswords :
oohh i love your layout!!!
from ibinx :
All set!
from ibinx :
Now, after you paste in that other code, copy this one from the <html> tag to the bottom (make sure you don't run into that other note). Go back to "Change your template," and then into "click here to change how your older.html archive page looks" Backspace everything in the box. Now, paste the following code: <html> <head> <title>ub40</title> <style type="text/css"> body, table { color: #686358; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 17px; text-align: justify; } p { text-indent: 0px; } .header { color: #864b4a; text-indent: 0px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 12pt; text-transform: uppercase; font-style: heavy; font-weight: bold; } .links { font-size: 8pt; text-transform: lowercase; font-weight: light; color: #864b4a; } .links a { color: #864b4a; text-decoration: 1px dotted; } .links a:hover { color: #864b4a; border-bottom: 1px dotted; } a { color: #864b4a; font-size: 8pt; text-transform: lowercase; font-weight: light; text-decoration: none; } a:hover { color: #864b4a; border-bottom: 1px dotted; } blockquote { margin: 20px; border-left: 1px dashed #864b4a; padding-left: 5px; text-indent: 20px; } </style> </head> <body background="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z27/tablemartyr/back.png"> <div style="position: absolute; bottom: 0px; right: 0px;"> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="740"> <tr> <td rowspan="1" colspan="1" width="331" height="211"> <img name=" " src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z27/tablemartyr/Image2_1x1.png" width="331" height="211" border="0" alt="" /></td> <td rowspan="1" colspan="1" width="331" height="211"> <img name=" " src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z27/tablemartyr/Image2_1x2.png" width="331" height="211" border="0" alt="" /></td> <td rowspan="1" colspan="1" width="331" height="211"> <img name=" " src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z27/tablemartyr/Image2_1x3.png" width="331" height="211" border="0" alt="" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td rowspan="1" colspan="1" width="331" height="211"> <img name=" " src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z27/tablemartyr/Image2_2x1.png" width="331" height="211" border="0" alt="" /></td> <td rowspan="1" colspan="1" width="331" height="211"> <img name=" " src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z27/tablemartyr/Image2_2x2.png" width="331" height="211" border="0" alt="" /></td> <td rowspan="1" colspan="1" width="331" height="211"> <img name=" " src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z27/tablemartyr/Image2_2x3.png" width="331" height="211" border="0" alt="" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td rowspan="1" colspan="1" width="331" height="211"> <img name=" " src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z27/tablemartyr/Image2_3x1.png" width="331" height="211" border="0" alt="" /></td> <td rowspan="1" colspan="1" width="331" height="211"> <img name=" " src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z27/tablemartyr/Image2_3x2.png" width="331" height="211" border="0" alt="" /></td> <td rowspan="1" colspan="1" width="331" height="211"> <img name=" " src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z27/tablemartyr/Image2_3x3.png" width="331" height="211" border="0" alt="" /></td> </tr> </table> </div> <div style="position: absolute; bottom: 400px; right: 480px; width: 400px; border-bottom: none;"> <br /><div class="header">Archives</div> </div> <div style="position: absolute; bottom: 70px; right: 432px; width: 450px; height: 305px; overflow: auto;"> %%older_entries%% </div> </div> </div> <div style="position: absolute; bottom: 385px; right: 450px; color: #584740; line-height: 14px;;"> </div> <div style="position: absolute; bottom: 47px; right: 484px;" class="links"> <a href="http://ub40.diaryland.com/index.html">Newest</a> | <a href="http://ub40.diaryland.com/older.html">Archives</a> | <a href="http://members.diaryland.com/edit/random.phtml?user=ub40">Random</a> | <a href="http://members.diaryland.com/edit/profile.phtml?user=ub40">Profile</a> | <a href="http://members.diaryland.com/edit/notes.phtml?user=ub40">Notes</a> | <a href="mailto:[email protected]">E*mail</a> | <a href="http://google.com" target="0">Image</a> | <a href="http://diaryland.com" target="0">Host</a> | <a href="http://ibinx.diaryland.com" target="0">Design</a> </div> </body> </html>
from ibinx :
Whew! I'm sorry it took me so long to code that! I worked hard; I hope you like it!
from ibinx :
Okay, here's what you do. Copy all of this from the tag <html> to the bottom. from ibinx :
Okay! I'm all done, finally! *whew*
from stepfordtart :
It worries me that this girl doesnt eat. Thats it really. s x
from stepfordtart :
I cant believe they didnt CRAM the fridge/larder/beer cellar for you. Thats just RUDE. Im affronted on your behalf! s x
from meganwaits :
Hey, sounds like you're having quite an adventure with the pregnant one. Hope all is well in the garden too.
from ivyparker :
Thanks for the note. You would have loved the purse party I went too. This woman brings enough bags to fill 2 rooms. Really adorable stuff, pinks, reds, black, leopard color. Just fun to touch them, you know. About the mosquito bites, I heard on the news if you take B1 two weeks straight and on, you can ward them off. They won't touch you.
from ivyparker :
You better go out to lunch if you'll be cleaning. I just started watching Hollyoaks on BBCA this summer. And I just can't seem to get enough of it. So what's in the garden?
from stepfordtart :
Hello dear! Glad you're enjoying the 'real' me! I'm adding you to my buddies - a girl can never have enough of the lil suckers, i say! s x
from ivyparker :
Hey, this is a silly question..but do you ever watch Hollyoaks? I'm fan, and I know its not the best soap in Britian, but I think its getting better, especially, with Guy Burnet (Craig Dean). Ok, I'll shut up now. Oh, hope you have a splendid holiday, somewhere.
from planet-maxx :
Ta for the note. The score is about 2 - 0 to the other side I'm afraid. If only Vamps and I could look after each other.....sadly it's not to be, hence all the heart wrenching songs...
from stepfordtart :
Hi! Its Bill Dersbum's alter ego here! Find me at Stepfordtart. Its not locked so feel free to snoop! (and it has comments so you dont have to fart about with this notes thing!) s x
from ibinx :
Naw, I'll just code everything for you, and send it to you with directions. All you'll have to do is copy and paste into the boxes I tell you to.
from ibinx :
Really? I've just considered this diary an assortment of random schemes to wreak havoc on society while simultaneously making money. ^O^ As for the layout, I realized that it gave off a completely different vibe than what my entries do. ^^;; But I've had this sudden burst of creativity that probably won't return for a long while when it's over, and that's what I came up with. You want one? I know mine aren't the best, but there won't be another like it.
from billdersbum :
Hey! Thanks for my first note! I do have another diary, with bitching about work and stuff on it, but this one is just for the building stuff - I keep it clean so I can let my mum look at it! If you want to read the Other Me, do let me know and I'll tell you where to find it. Bill x
from theswordsman :
Thanks for stopping by. Take care. John
from planet-maxx :
On the whole I agree with the life is what you make philosophy. I've had a little trouble sticking to it this weekend. Oh and let me know where your posh meal is, and how it goes. I'd love to have a nice meal. We were looking at going to No.5 Cavendish Square yesterday, but tempers and migraines prevented us from going. Anyway's hope your weekend was ok. Still couldn't find anything on Sternburgh, Maybe I'm going blonde as well !! LOL
from planet-maxx :
Sterberg - is that a diaryland name or do I search google ??
from planet-maxx :
Hmmm - If you really want to avoid him, change routes regularly, and change times regularly, early one day, then earlier, then later, then early and route change, you get the idea. See how well he keeps up.
from juswords :
i agree, insomnia sucks. :(
from planet-maxx :
More spooky than a very spooky thing !! LOL I'm actually the other side of MK ( Leighton Buzzard ), and don't let the Porsche fool ya, cool it may be - upmarket I ain't LOL. Oh, and alas no, no Moylesy for me anymore. I'm forced to listen to either Radio 2, or Classic FM, as the radio is usually on at work, but I don't have control. Although if I'm on my own, I do sometimes retune to Mr Moyles if I'm on earlies. Oh one more thing, there's some entries someone in the middle of '03 that are still screwed up. Think it runs again from about sept 03. Not that you're THAT interested LOL, but I thought I'd say...
from planet-maxx :
Wow - that's one sick entry LOL
from meganwaits :
What's freaky here, they say these are the worst drought conditions here since the 30's...yet south of here its been flooding. A refinery has gone underwater so the gas is going up here, again. Very extreme conditions we're having. Hope you get lots done this weekend. Enjoy. Have a cup of tea outside for me.
from ivyparker :
Sounds like you deserve this weekend. Hope you get in the sunshine today.
from criminal-- :
thank you for the congrat. you dont definitely sound like an elder relative however when you mentioned it, it became obvious after i read few entries of yours. :) once again, thank you for the congrat.;)
from planet-maxx :
Always glad to spread a little mirth amoungst the world, even if it is unintentional. Hope you're not swimming too much up there ( I kinda imagine your "up" there in relation to where I am, but who knows ?? ) what with all the rain an wot not. Anywhos, take it easy...
from dylanwashere :
Hey, "fuck a duck..." I have never heard that line before, but it is quite catchy. Hmmmm...do you think its time to let nature take its course and see whats up with this fellow? My 4th was actually quite nice. Becca had never shot off fireworks, and she had a blast with poppers and roman candles. Good food. Good company. Only it was hot. Didn't hardly see a cloud in sight.
from meganwaits :
Its been not that happy today. I guess it could have been worse.
from meganwaits :
Sounds like you need your running shoes on and comfortable clothing I hope. Thats cool how the place is all decorated up now. Good for you.
from meganwaits :
I'm glad you're back. I couldn't imagine what happened. Its good to hear from you. I hope your summer is going ok.
from meganwaits :
hi, I can't seem to post on diaryland lately so I changed diaries...in case you're interested. http://megsworldnow.blogspot.com/
from meganwaits :
Hey, I e-mailed you, but not sure if it got to you or not.
from meganwaits :
You haven't been updating? Hope you're well.
from megsworld2 :
We've been a cold spell here, hope things are warm and spring there.
from meganwaits :
yeah, leave it to me to make things worse.
from meganwaits :
Happy St. Paddy's day! Cool about the washing machine. Good luck with the interview, too.
from meganwaits :
Glad to hear you're back from you trip. Hope you have a good week.
from meganwaits :
Hope you have a fun and safe trip. You sound so rushed. All the best.
from dylanwashere :
That trip is right around the corner? I was wondering if you've seen on Fox "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?" I caught some of it night before last. Its a tad ridiculous, but it makes you think..do I remember anything from 5th grade?
from dylanwashere :
Thanks for the Valetine wishes. Bulgara? Hope you have fun next month.
from dylanwashere :
Thanks for sharing that Deal or No Deal. Maybe I watch from beginning to end one day. That would help.
from meganwaits :
Hey, Happy Birthday, even though I know its late. Wishing you lots of great surprises ahead of you. Keep warm.
from dylanwashere :
Happy Birthday! Hope you have a warm time, somewhere with friends and family.
from dylanwashere :
Can you explain to me how "deal or no deal" works? Have a good week.
from meganwaits :
Sorry to hear how stressed it is at work. Sounds like it could get explosive. Hope you're finding someway to relax when you can. Hang in there.
from meganwaits :
Great, that you're watching Ugly Betty. There are some really funny moments on the show.
from dylanwashere :
I'm not too much in to reality tv. My Dad loves Deal or No Deal. I still haven't figured out the game yet.
from dylanwashere :
Ugly Betty seems to have lots of plots to it, so you might be lost if you just watched the last episode. It comes on on Fridays, there? It comes on Thursday nights here.
from dylanwashere :
Ugly Betty is different.
from meganwaits :
Yes! Give Ugly Betty a try. Its rather orginal..even if its slightly THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, but it has this certain appeal that you don't see on US TV. Her boss is gorgeous. His boss or she thinks so is even more devilish that the actual...DEVIL WEARS PRADA. And it gives you a whole new take on the dog eat dog fashion industry. Unfortunately, usually, I tape the show ...because I love THE OFFICE and I have a sweetness for Randy and the gang on MY NAME IS EARL. For a while..Iknow they had episodes you can watch at ABC.com of Ugly Betty.
from meganwaits :
oooooh..knitting..how sweet. hope the scarf turns out nicely. I'm working on a scarf/slash belt for myself. I'd made one for this co-worker high school girl thinking she'd use it as a belt, but she likes it more for a scarf. Anyway, I'm doing my best to keep out of trouble.
from meganwaits :
wishing you a wonderful Christmas! Full of cheer and warm memories!
from myhappiness :
hey..hope all is well at work for you. wishing you lots of fun on your holiday coming up.
from meganwaits :
Sorry I haven't updated much..with school and now Jared..things are a little busy now. Its getting cold here...brrrr...have to break out the rabbit fur hat or something..ok, the fake fur - rabbit hat.
from meganwaits :
Hey, thanks for sharing those bits of tidbits of yours. Just think all that made you all the wiser.
from meganwaits :
you are tagged!
from meganwaits :
Thanks for the graduation wishes. Hope you get some sunshine soon.
from meganwaits :
Hopefully, that rain is going to bring lots of flowers soon. My mom planted a sunflower seed and its already sprouting. Of course, its in the kitchen. Squirrels are bad around here. Thanks for the note. Still a chill in the air..off on, depending where its coming from.
from meganwaits :
Its actually been kind of cold here. But I haven't really noticed that much about the weather lately. Good to hear the weather has been nice there.
from meganwaits :
Hope you get some sun today. At the moment, so cloudy here. We had thunderstorms last night. Even tornadoes south of here. The weathermen had a hayday. Happy Easter! Hope the bunny is good to you.
from meganwaits :
Sounds like lots of spring cleaning. Funny, "How can you stand an empty house..." love the quote.
from meganwaits :
I'm finding out crocheting is much quicker for me than knitting. My friend knits quite fast, but I just don't seem to have the knack for it. Lots knit around here, but not many crochet. (My gram taught me although at the time didn't see much use for it. And then by the time I wanted to I found out I was making up my own stitches for the most part.) I've found all sort of patterns on the internet..from bikinis to pothandle warmers which I might add looks more like a penis warmer which I thought was hilarious. Although, I find it fun to make caps mostly, bags too. I can't seem to get my edges as straight as I'd like when I just crochet across to make a rectangle. Oh, I know I'll adjust to the time and love it too, but at the moment I'm dreading it..as usual.
from meganwaits :
arm warmers. Or punk wrist warmers (I'm finding out) or "gauntlets" actually, just fingerless gloves. The best way to start is either crochetting around a round where the thumb goes or circling a round where the wrist is(but you'll need two circles). Maybe at this point I can figure out how to make them better before next winter. Anyway, its fun. Thanks for asking. Do you knit or crochet? Most everyone around here knits, but I seem to do better just crocheting.
from meganwaits :
Devon? An English vacation spot? I know..I definitely need to explore geography more.
from megsworld2 :
You haven't taken a sick day off in 10 years? Impressive. I don't think I could ever do that. Its warming up some here.
from meganwaits :
Thanks much for the birthday wishes. Glad you aren't drinking as much wine as you used too. I hope you're getting a lot done around your place this weekend.
from meganwaits :
Valentines day was much more fun that usual. Of course, I ate candy all day, or so it seemed. So I don't want to near it for a while. Also I was shocked to get so many sweet things other than candy yesterday. I hope your cough gets better.
from myhappiness :
I'm still thinking what I should get Kate. I got her a big chocolate bar already, and she just looked at me like "you're making me fat." So guess I better keep thinking.
from myhappiness :
Hey, you listening to any James Blunt? That's my wife's favorite right now. I'd buy her the cd for Valentines day, but uh she's got it already. Well, we're having colds over here in the states too. Take care of yourself.
from meganwaits :
Thanks for the sweet note. I think I'm better now.
from meganwaits :
hahaha..."sex on a stick"..P's boss. Love that line..and now a speed dater. What next? Thanks for the laugh.
from boplou3 :
hi my name is melanie. im 18.Earl Falconer and i have the same birthday january 23. i live in middle of nothing illinois. it sucks. i just moved back here from beautiful waikiki hawaii i lived out there with my 21 yr cousin.and she goes to hpu. livinng there was the best time of my life i realized so much about life . i started listening to ub40 while i was down there. now that i have moved back here ive become really depressed all i do is cry. living here is like not even living i miss so much about it. i havent been the same since ive been back here. i listen to ub40 everyday to help remind me of hawaii. it takes me back to the place i was the happiest ive ever been. when i was looking online at some regae concerts i saw ub40 was playing at the house of blues the tickets are more then $100 i dont care about the price at all. and im planing on going by myself. i though it would be 18 to get in. BUT ITS NOT its 21. i was devestated the only thing that could make me feel a little better about being stuck here i cant go to. i was wondering if theres anyway i could please get in. im sick to mystomach being here. and ub40s music makes me such a happier person. i really want to see the show. im not going to give up. thanks
from boplou3 :
are you really ub40?
from fan4 :
Happy belated birthday!
from megsworld2 :
Happy Birthday to you! I hope its a great one with lots of smiles and laughter with friends. Happy Birthday! & many more!
from meganwaits :
Wow..I wasn't expecting to hear that from you..but thanks for the input on the snogging. Oh..and yeah! Great to hear you had a sweet time out.
from meganwaits :
Thanks for letting me know about all the benefits of sleep. You've got to watch more TV. Glad to hear you watched some fine films over the weekend. Good for you. Sorry to hear about the snow. It seems so strange not to have any right now. I hear on the news we are very abnormal here. We had all our snow before winter began. Strange, huh?
from meganwaits :
Wow..sound like your new year is really busy with work. Great to hear about the gym. Hope that helps the soc./relationship thing, you know. All the best.
from meganwaits :
Hey, wishing you a great new year full of fun and opportunties and marvelous times with family and friends. Right now, just a bit hung over.
from meganwaits :
Many Christmas wishes! Hope you got something wanted this year. I'm a bit under the weather. Thanks so much for writing here and for reading my diaries, too.
from meganwaits :
Have you got all of it wrapped yet? That was quite a day on the phone you had. Wishing you lots of Christmas happiness.
from megsworld2 :
90 Christmas cards! I don't think there are enough hours in the day on your day off. Good you got some catch up time with friends. Hope your weekend is a good one.
from meganwaits :
Cool, about the Slough documentary. The Office definitely exposes all those wonderful politics. Of course, I loved the Tim & Dawn romance going on just as much as the boss and Garth. In the NBC "american" version is definitely taking off in its own way. I think it takes place in Skranton,Ohio...which I have no idea if thats actual footage. And I love Jim & Pam..on the show as well, but the boss is no Randy. There is just something about his personality that you can't resist watching..even if he is so bad.
from meganwaits :
They really left out that part about where to find them...always some main ingredient they leave out, right? Oh, do you like THE OFFICE? Sometimes, when I read your stuff you make me thin of THE OFFICE.
from meganwaits :
Ok, you're making my day again. Thanks for giving me a smile. It means a lot to me. Your words. Well, do something for yourself. Teach yourself something new (but don't give yourself a headache...I don't think I'll ever learn to knit) It doesn't have to be traditional "thanksgiving", you know. And then there is Christmas to think about. Oh the stress.... Thanks again. Keep writing!
from meganwaits :
Thanks for reading me..well, actually, my other diary..megsworld..which..well, I'm not sure how to explain it. Its like I feel I have more to tell in that diary than my other diary..sometimes. Anyway, its so cool that your English. I like how you write. You made my day too.
from megsworld2 :
Ok, I don't even know if you celebrate Thanksgiving or not. But have a good weekend.
from megsworld2 :
In spite all the abbrivations..good quips.
