Well said! I completely agree with your logic on quiting. There are certainly situations of opportunity that may arise where quitting is acceptable, but when I wrote this entry I assumed that a person wasn't quitting for that reason. I was referring to, like you pointed out at the end, that the person was giving up because of that 'feeling' or fear. Thanks for the post. I enjoyed the feedback!!

I don't think Verna actually intended to quit. I think she was just having a tantrum. Either way I think Trump and her team were wrong to take her back, and incredibly wrong to congratulate her for coming back. Yes, in life people can deserve second chances, but as they say on this show, "it isn't personal, it's just business." I think the only reason to "quit" is when quitting one thing is necessary to make a positive change in another direction. Sometimes there are jobs, relationships, situations that you need to get out of in order to grow. However, that has to be done responsibly, and it is not the same as "giving up." I agree with you that giving up because of that feeling (or fear) of failure is a very sad thing. My two cents.

I just want you to know that getting a C in calculus is completely NORMAL. I do not speak from experience (i wussed out of calculus and took statistics instead), but I had many many many friends that took calculus and received C's (and sometimes lower) but managed to pull 4 or 5's on the exam. That's really all you have to worry about. I know it's hard to get C's, but just think of the greater goal!

I choose to take you up on the challenge of gays. there is no scientific proof that it's a chemical imbalance. they actually have no idea what makes people gay. I feel that they choose. it says in the bible God hates homosexuality, the act not the person. God would not make a person have a lifestyle that he condemns like that. sorry, it's a choice, even if it's not necessarily conscious. think of all the people that have gay parents. hmm, that was obviously a choice, since they were straight to begin with... and as much as you don't want to accept it, it does say in the Bible that jesus Christ is the one and only way to eternal life. you can interpret that however you like, but you can't ignore that it's there.
