Bedtime for Jonzo

Musing from the mind of a Mad Genius trapped in the (steadily shrinking) body of a Lazy Bastard.

My favorite diaries:

invisibledon profile - diary
comments: You are the King of the Bastards!
courtneymay profile - diary
comments: Courtney, you have a way with prose. You've been through a lot, and you're coming back stronger than ever. P.S.- I hate the Heels.
onebluegreen profile - diary
comments: Doc lives in bumfuck, but it always seems longer when you know you have to mow the grass when you get there.
soverycherry profile - diary
comments: A Roanoker with an attitude and a diary. She makes you laugh, she makes you cry, she just makes you.
invisiblepal profile - diary
comments: Another one of my invisible friends. She's really there, I promise.
katy-bug profile - diary
comments: A gift of Chaos, wrapped up in a beautiful paper.
loriebug profile - diary
comments: Writing the likes of which have never been seen and she calls herself...well, lorie, she calls herself lorie.
barybabe profile - diary
comments: #2 to loriebug's #1, bookstore art supply hook up.
tallgirlsam profile - diary
comments: #3 to barybabe's #2 to loriebug's #1, eh, whatever. She's her own ass kicking person.
aigre-douce profile - diary
comments: A bittersweet symphony.
hollyt profile - diary
comments: A good friend, and not the pseudo-kind either.
heyjude85 profile - diary
comments: possibly a bigger nerd than me.

My favorite music:

Coldplay
comments: Recent acquisition to the list, but not likely to go anywhere soon.
Dave Matthews Band
comments: I like the smooth and the Funk.
Outkast
comments: See this is the way that we walk on a sunny, day when it's raining outside and your all alooooooooone.
Modest Mouse, Eddie From Ohio, Wilco, Fighting Gravity, VaCo
comments: Have seen them all play, damn good live bands.
Otis Redding
comments: A surprise wasn't it, i keep that one close to the vest.

My favorite movies:

Silence of the Lambs
comments: "Hello Clarice." "I ate his liver with some farva beans and anice Chianti."
Dogma
comments: Alanis Morrisette as God, I mean c'mon that is some funny shit. And Ben Affleck and Matt Damon bringing the end to earth, isn't that their plan anyway?
Almost Famous
comments: Cameron Crowe is amazing, I debated whether this or Jerry Maguire belonged here, but the "tiny dancer" scene pushed "Almost Famous" over the edge.
Goonies
comments: "It's our time, our time down here." Talk about the ultimate kid escape. "Rocky Road?", "No pen, no write, no sign, NO SIGN!!", didn't everyone have their own Goonies troop.
The movies that come on every other day, but you can't quit watching...
comments: You know what I'm talking about, every eighties movie, Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, etc... and all the new "classics" that TBS plays like Roadhouse. You know you want to change the channel but you just can't.

My favorite authors:

Anne Rice
comments: She could scare Satan.
Ayn Rand
comments: "Atlas Shrugged" is very inspirational. "The Fountainhead" is amazing as well.
J. D. Salinger
comments: "Catcher in the Rye" nuff said.
Shel Silverstein
comments: "Where the Sidewalk Ends" Poetry and Art meet.
Maya Angelou
comments: Always wanted to just hop in the car and ride to Chapel Hill and knock on her door. I bet alot of people do that kind of shit though.

update April 6, 2020: Sorry, we just had 8+ hours downtime due to a server problem. Restoring from backups took soooo long, but everything is back and no data was lost. Ay yay yay! Anyhow, hope everyone is well with the virus stuff.
