Fallen Oak (2024-04-27 - 6:17 a.m.)

What is with all this weather lately? It seems that there is terrible weather all over. Right now here it is getting darker and darker outside. It rained off and on all night, and you could hear the strong winds blowing and howling. It seems like it has been doing this all April so far. Mother Nature what is your bottom line message which you are sending us here on Earth, curious minds need and want to know. Moving on now, from this weather update from Central Wisconsin.

Yesterday Randy and I had a small window to be out in the Woods. We finally started on cutting up that huge downed tree which fell. We were able to clear the massive center section so that the deer can run through safely. it was a huge oak tree. The section we cut up was very solid. Though upon looking at this oak's base you can tell that it was decaying, hence the reason those strong winds made it uproot and fall over. We stacked the wood we got cut up. We worked out there for approx. 90 minutes. Dam good for our age and physical limitations.

Thank heavens the day before yesterday we hauled the trailer full of pinecones, littler branches, and leaves away. Yesterday it would have been too windy and puling the full trailer would have been swaying all over highway 80. It still seems that on May 7th, our neighbor from across the road will be coming up here with his dog and brother. I will probably call him next week, just to be sure. I miss him and his dog.

Myla puked again. She needs to stop eating her dry cat food after her bit of soft food I give her. As I was writing this last statement, which I talk out loud as I write it, Myla was looking at me and she sure seems to be listening.
