Snow Sways
The sway of January snow begins Fall… Slow. Slip… Slow. Blowing between deeply rooted trees Sweeping… Hills. Sweeping… Valleys. The glint of flakes Shimmer in the early sun Frost sweeps meadows spite into meadows porcelain And the sway of January snow takes flight Over the reach of the tallest trees and as fast as coursing streams Swiftly swimming through unseen currents… Beyond. The windows glazed of ice To the happy eyes Of pure bliss behind. A fire’s warmth brings solace, serenity The sway of January snow—a moment’s magic The assurance of tomorrow The humanity within us all. Sustain us till snow’s show sways again.
