"all this past had made her want a future."

in the early afternoon i was searching through yellowed magazines and came across an old issue of Nothing Left from '99 that i didn't realize i had here. (a rather large newsprint zine with friendly band interviews and columns by mostly wilkes-barrian authors.) i thought back to what i was doing when this was published: in the tenth grade, got my haircut short short short for the first time, and began wearing almost exclusively black in what was probably a persistent effort to be one of the more "sophistocated" scenesters. to be one at all.

high school seems like something so distant, so long ago i can barely stand to associate myself with anything having to do with it.

so this is the end of diaryland. online journals should be reserved for cliche daily breakdowns and poorly constructed sarcasm, not minor attempts at written creativity. it's time to put it all into a more tangible form. i want it on paper again so it can be held in fingers, can be taken out of backpacks and referenced as needed.

i'm sure i'll still keep a sort of the formerly mentioned blog, because lets face it, they are a guilty, guilty pleasure. but this one has hit its retirement, and i feel even now it's too late.

for correspondance or information about my printed zine, email [email protected] thanks for reading.
